All boxstores are spread out fairly far apart that it would take some time to walk to each one. I did like this Winners. When I was in high school, I wore a couple of pairs of Tretorn tennis shoes. The problem for me back then was the the largest size that Tretorn made for women was a size 10. I needed a size 11. Instead, I ended up dipping into wearing men's Tretorn shoes. I ended up getting the logo in navy blue and white. Not exciting! My friend and I hit the women's shoe section. She found a cute, glittery pair of boots that fit her perfectly! She found them to be comfortable, even though she wouldn't be caught dead going on a date with them on. I feel that she is my lucky charm whenever we go to a Winners together. I found a fun pair of Tretorns in a size 11. They were patterned and they fit more comfortably than I recall. The footbed is far better than it used to be. I bought them without hesitation. This store is clean, bright, and decent, including the washrooms. The woman who helped me cash out was cheerful and upbeat. There wasn't a huge lineup on a Saturday afternoon. I would stop by this store again if I am in the area. (176)

These are not prelit, but even if you have to buy the lights at full price, it's still worthwhile. The warehouse is massive with many home items. If you need buckets or stools in all shapes, sizes and colours, this is the place. They have a decent selection of suitcases starting for around $30 for a carry on. It's a great option for a point A to B. If it breaks, so be it. The animal wheely chairs are cute and makes a great gift. They start at $28 with nothing over $50. Thry have many hair accessories which makes the perfect loot bag gift for little girls. They start at $0.60 for a pair. This is the place for stocking stuffers, loot bags, party supplies, home stuff especially for newly unfurnished homes. They probably won't last, but it will get you through your student dorm days.

They have a huge selection of interior decor like fake flowers and home goods. Cons: it's literally so busy, the store is messy and stuff is all over the place. The aisle is a bit narrow it's so crowded it was so hard to move. They did set a limit for how many ppl can go in later on. There's also A LOT OF LITTER! I saw so many Tim Hortons and beverage cups in random spots. Kids were also running havoc. The electronics are sparse. Not sure about the quality. There's a lot of furnitures too like bed frames! I saw some trolley for $15 which is a good deal! Service is nonexistent, there is someone watching and directing the cashier lines (don't worry bout someone budding you)

Winners stores have brand name clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, fine jewellery, beauty products, and housewares. The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other Winners stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. Staff are helpful and checkouts are fairly quick.

Ok, not quite sure WHY they opened yet another Winners...when there's one just a block south!…read more I came on the Grand Opening and the location is large and new. Fixtures were dark, especially the shoe shelves. They had large flood lights, but I found the lighting quite dim, a bit irritating to me. I think it's done on purpose so you don't know what time of day it is. "Designer" brands were only a few purses on a round 3-tiered shelf in the front. Again, not sure if they're going to expand this into a full-on "Red Carpet" section. Selection-wise, I found it a little better than your average Winners, but again, it's a Grand Opening, so of course they'll have their best merch up front. Line was horrendous, so I left without purchasing anything.

When you come in, it does give a slight attic smell, which I don't mind. They told me they usually restock on Thursdays and the other location by Sterling Road usually carries even more inventory. I purchased a shiatsu massager and back up Aukey earphones that were new in package from the Ex. However, the earphones didn't work. The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same. Though they might offer tax off discounts with cash at the Ex but not at the store.

I didn't realize that I had parked steps away from the store until we ventured inside it! It throws you back to a small department store with charm. We walked in and got men's clothing and shoes. We headed over to another section with women's clothing and shoes. There's a similar section for children, too. It also has a cool area that sparked a lot of gift ideas. It took a while to tear me out of the women's shoe department. I tend to look for shoe sizes rather than styles when such places don't have a lot of size 11 footwear. My friend got into the act and we found three pairs. Hey, it was better than capping things off at a size 10. What threw me back to my past was finding Rieker footwear. There were sneakers that had a side zipper similar to KangaROOS, but it wasn't a functional pocket. My first and only pair of Rieker shoes were a purple pair of Mary Janes that I had as an undergrad. I loved them so much that I wore them till the bottom of one shoe had a crack in them. I wish that this shoe style were still around. I'd get another pair! I loved everything from sequinned facial masks (fancy!) to artsy wallets by local artists. My friend spotted a t-shirt by Life is Good with diversified portfolio on the front, along with a few frozen treats. The funny thing is that I own this shirt already! It was my first time spotting the Life is Good brand in a store. I even saw mugs. I had no idea that it made them! There was a sale going on, as well as a clearance section. I'd recommend hitting those first. Prices are reasonable. We had a decent browsing experience here. I may need to come back for watermelon napkins because they just looked so pretty and functional. I also like all things watermelon. (326)
