I wonder if the downtown Winner's at College Park is even more expensive than this location. The clothing racks are also usually neat compared to the downtown locations. One thing, I wish this location would do is make some of their sections larger. But I'm biased, I admit. I My main focus for shopping here is the cheaper prices for natural skincare & bags. LOL. I don't shop for clothing or shoes at Winner's as I don't have the patience to go through the racks most of the time. The wooden one was more expensive, but it will take up too much space so I decided to go with the marble one. Another time I was there to get a pair of shoes on emergency because mine had a hole and getting soaked during a rainy day. I was able to get a pair of Vans sneakers that's leather and waterproof for only $40. I was very pleased. The checkout counters were pretty fast, lots of cashiers. I was able to pay fast.

The store is small and compact compares to other Saks Off 5th I had been to. Selection obviously is smaller but at least everything is well organized and stocked. We both purchased clothing items from the store. I was so impressed with the service especially. The person that assisted us was just great - she knew the product lines inside out and had great suggestions for us both. So professional, easy to talk to and just awesome all the way around. I don't think we would have spent nearly that amount of time in the store if we didn't get such great service. My daughter is 36 and I'm 60+, and we both bought clothing from your store. You have a real gem working for you and I just wanted to tell you how impressed we both were with the experience. The associate number on my receipt shows 2106, store 1084. Wilfred is a stand-alone shop from Aritzia house brand Wilfred (slightly more sophisticated big…read moresister of Talula and TNA). I find this store much quieter and easier to navigate than the large Aritzia store 1 level below, so if you are only interested in Wilfred and want to avoid the teenie-boppers, I would recommend just coming to this store. They carry nice, well-made (albeit pricey) pieces that are great for work or going out. Think silk crepe blazers, wool coats, feminine blouses, and day-to-night dresses. They tend to stick to classic shapes and bring back similar styles season after season in updated colours or fabrics. Not terribly exciting, but if you find something that works for you, it's nice that you can find so many variations. The staff are okay -- less harried than the Aritzia staff. Changerooms have no mirrors inside (-1 star), but at least you don't have to lock up your purse like they make you do at Aritzia. I like that you get a free reusable shopping bag (a thin cotton tote) with each purchase, instead of a paper bag. Sales are not very impressive, but if you go at the right time you can find some items marked down by 25-50%. Sale items are final sales - no exchanges or refunds.

That said, there are only about 3 major fabrics in the store, but made into different styles. For instance, with one style of cloth that they buy a ton of fabric of, they make two different types of dresses, jackets, skirts and so on, all from the same cloth. So you can literally buy the entire line and wear every piece that will match perfectly with the others. The demographic seems to be rich(er) women in their 40s - 60s... which isn't to say that a 20-something like me can't wear the dresses, but first I would have to shell out about $300 per dress, and second, I would have to find the styles I like. Otherwise, it's a very lovely store, they are very nice and will do alterations for free :)
