A wardrobe filled with beautifully designed, top quality and classic styling. I'm crazy about the design concept of the store. The simple white walls, copper ceiling and rustic display furniture allow the merchandise to speak for itself . Obviously the owner had carefully selected designer pieces that would amalgamate well with the in-store label, Kin. The store collections are all about simplicity and minimalism. Each design is like a piece of art with high craftsmanship. They look amazing on their own, and even better when injected with your individuality. Sydney's also has great selection of denim, like Naked and Famous, Them Altelier and Rick Owens. Along with a small selection of awesome looking shoes, bags and small leather goods. I bought a great looking in-house label suit. The owner/designer was terrific and helpful. He took the time to explain his design, the fabric, as well as the overall construction of the suit. He didn't stop there, he showed me how great the suit would look after alterations. "Look at that, I had no idea that a suit could make my backside looks this good." Sold! Wrap that baby up!

This is the perfect place to pick up a gift for someone, whether that someone is you is to be determined. And if I'm in that part of town when I'm back in Toronto, I'll be back for sure.

It was always the brands that got me hooked on Neon -- Vans, Converse, Doc Martens and now Kodiak boots along with clothes from Element. Their latest signature line is from Fjällräven Kånken in Sweden where everything they make is a hit, all killer and no filler sort of thing. Expensive, but worth it for anyone who is active. Perfect for a frugal soMEone who's not into shopping but likes having quality stuff. My finds over the years are too many to list, but some of my favourites include a $13 Harvey's seatbelt bag, killer Diesel jeans for $11, a stylin' $45 Mexx interview-type suit that evidently did the trick. Everything here is sorted by size instead of colour, which is precisely how all second-hand stores ought to be. The stellar organization makes it way faster to find things, and the finds are so abundant here that I always creatively interpret the six-item limit at the change rooms. Older stock will get discounted up to 70% (I think), but tags are sometimes not marked down yet, so ask and check the date on the tag to see if it might get further reduced. It's exclusively women's wear and accessories, but no shoes. While clean and orderly, the store probably hasn't seen a reno since Michael Jackson was black, but who cares? Not I.
