Yes, they are pricey (but in my humble American experience there is quite a mark up on *all* clothes in Canada vs the States - like a cheap tank top at H&M will be $5 more automatically in Canada - the exchange rate right now more than makes up for it) but a lot of the items aren't much - if any - cheaper online. I also just love supporting places like this, since there are so few left, and since a lot of "goth" brands run small I prefer to try a lot of the stuff on in person. The girl working and I had a good chat about the history/future of Lip Service in particular and some other stuff. She was super helpful and friendly which was also a change from a lot of alt shops, where the employees seem to spend their time perfecting that "I'm way too fucking cool to talk to you" vibe that makes me eye roll. I wanted *all* the things but settled on two LS dresses, one of which was shiny PVC and fulfilled all of 15 year old me's dreams. Definitely a spot to check out for a pricier but quality "statement piece" or to comb the shoe and clothing sales racks. I'd also like to add they had a surprising amount of men's clothes and not just band t-shirts and jeans either.

They have lots of quality basics made from 100% Egyptian cotton. Their Ossington location is considered their Toronto flagship store, however, they also have a location in Leslieville as well as Yorkdale. I've been to KOTN along Ossington several times. I usually take advantage of their sales that happen once or twice a year as their regular priced items are more pricy. However, I do occasionally go for their basics which are of high quality. The store layout is spacious. Some clothes can easily be unisex. Staff are always friendly, professional, and helpful. If you want to try on clothes, they will also set aside the clothes for you in the changeroom area so that you can continue to browse. There is also a sofa in the changeroom area if you are waiting for your friends to try on clothes as well. If you do end up buying clothes they give you a nice tote bag for your purchased clothes. Overall, a nice spacious clothing store selling sustainable and ethical high-quality clothing. The staff are great and friendly as well. Located in an industrial area, the actual space is HUGE, occupying 3 units. It is spacious. Popular/high demand items are neatly displayed in the front area and it is all individually priced, re: Carhartt jackets for $80-120, North Face fleeces at $65+, etc. I didn't see any band t-shirts as advertised on their social media/website. The rest of the store had long racks with stuff like baggy t-shirts, shorts, sweats, sweatshirts/hoodies, jeans, etc. Even though these are pretty unisex items, most stuff was primarily for bros. Racks were pretty jam packed and I found it difficult to go through as there was barely any space to flip thru items. Do expect to find items were distressing, holes, & some stains. Jeans were next-to-impossible to go through as it was soo tight! Majority of the items that aren't tagged, I believe according to signs, were $20/piece. So I'm sure there are deals to be had. I just didn't have patience to do it. Maybe it's easier to buy from their online store. Store is opened 7 days/week!

First things I noticed, were different: Mens wear is on the first floor.. and the staff ALL were friendly and helpful. I don't normally write reviews for clothing stores, but I interacted with at least 5 different staff and it was really notable. I wish I could say the same for all other stores I have visited. I came in for something specific I had seen online, but I couldn't find it on the floor. Turns out they had some in the back and brought it to the changing room(also on the first floor) for me...
