head office.
I gave this review One star as unfortunately this is the lowest denomination I can give. I went into 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 Canada Computers and purchased a MSI Codex R desktop computer tower for $1550.00 after adding on their 200$ warranty. Upon arrival of my residence I unboxed the computer and set it up, after set-up the computer almost instantly froze. Thinking not much of it I promptly turned it off via power button on the top and re tried, once the computer turned back on after quite some time it froze again. Having repeated this process twice more it started to work for a mere 15 minutes until the fan stopped spinning and the computer pulled up an error stating windows has crashed and that the machine would reboot automatically after the loading screen went away. % minutes later the loading screen turned black and would not shut down or restart, even after pushing in the power button. I called and expressed my concerns about the machine to be told to bring it back in for inspection, keep in consideration each trip to the store runs me 30-36$ via Uber as it was my ONLY option of transportation. Upon arrival I asked about their return policy to which the "Manager" completely changed his attitude and became very unresponsive and hesitant to further assist me. The manager told me briefly about the policy and then told me I could wait three days to have it inspected and repaired, this being a BRAND NEW system I said that was unacceptable and I would like an exchange or refund and at the very least they needed to service my computer that day. He reluctantly accepted that I wasn't in a position to travel back and forth on my dime and said to give him 2-3 hours and he'll call me when It was done. My girlfriend and myself waited out in the freezing cold January 7th 2021 for 3 hours, I decided to just go in and see what the hold up was to notice it had been "FIXED." I asked them what was wrong with it and the technician gave me some BS excuse that was clearly made up as he was going along with it as he himself seemed very unsure as to what he was saying. I hesitantly took back the computer only to bring it home and have it crash instantly every time I tried to use it. At this time I as a customer who spent over 1700$ at their establishment wanted to speak to the manager about this problem. I was greeted by a staff member who refused me service and told me the manager was busy with a "Customer" and they would call me tomorrow. After I expressed my disappointment with the service that was failed to be provided to me he eventually told me he would get The same "manager" to call me back. After 15 minutes I received a call from the manager at 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 expressing my sheer disappointment with the service provided when I was at the store earlier and that they seemed to not want to help me via return or exchange.
Said Manager tried telling me about his experience being a technician for 40+ years and insured me that my computer wasn't defective, all the while I have video proof of this computer being extremely defective and after 10 minutes expressing my experience with this product he then SCREAMED " FINE! come by tomorrow and I will exchange it for you!" after which he threw the phone across the room as its apparent, I could hear said manager muttering curse words and the phone was being slammed against a solid object. He then hung up the phone after tossing it around a couple times. I held that to account and went into 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 to exchange the BROKEN computer they FAILED to fix the previous day. January 8th 2021 my Uber expenses were at $169.00 as I had to return today the 8th the last time to get an exchange. When I arrived at 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 I explained I was there to exchange the BROKEN product, they advised me to speak to manager at the service desk. I seen him and waved him over to me, He completely ignored me and I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come over and help me. I was refunded the $1516.00 and then asked what was wrong with it, this being the same guy that "fixed" the computer the day before I told him it freezes every second and doesn't work. They offered me a new one or told me I could buy the next best thing for 100$ more. I felt in a way violated at this point I rejected the offer and took my money with a $169.00 travel loss, this price excluding the initial 69$ that the first trip cost me to buy the machine cause that charge is on me. I would highly recommend to avoid 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 Canada Computer location. Now that being said my experience doesn't reflect upon any other location, just Etobicoke seems to have a very Rude and inconsiderate manager that treats his customers like shit. read more
