The longer I've spent on Yelp, the more I swerve towards wanting to be NICER, kinder.. plus BAD reviews sometimes creates hate messages, conflict, etc.. Who knew people felt so strongly!? This store looks terrible, shelves are sloppy, stock is hard to figure out, the back is a weird sea of boxes and a overwhelming sense of; what's going on here..?? Why's it so dumpy..? but at the same time; staff have always been polite and it feels like a shopping experience from 1997... ultimately it's TOUGH for big box type stores to stick around these days (online and Covid keeps a lot of us away...including me most the time), it would suck to have a future of strictly restaurants, grocery stores and ugly condos (very Toronto thing!). I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received at your store with Lisa. During my visit, the employee I dealt with was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Rather than making an effort to understand my issue or provide assistance, she appeared uninterested in helping and communicated with me in a disrespectful manner. her response to all my questions was "I don't know" and having her hands on her hips so uninterested in helping make the sale. I came to the store expecting basic courtesy and knowledgeable customer service, but unfortunately received neither. What was particularly frustrating was that I left without a useful solution to my problem, despite taking the time to visit the store in person. Customers should not have to deal with this kind of attitude, especially when they are simply asking for assistance with a product or service. What was even more frustrating, was i went back today to hopefully receive some help with my issue and to my for seen surprise Lisa inputted herself where she was not needed nor wanted. I was speaking to two other really nice Employees, she waited for me to leave to make a comment which was uncalled for as no one was speaking to her at the time. I spoke to the Manager in the store and expressed my Concerns and told him that i had half a mind to walk back into the store with the computer I had just purchased. I found it to be rude and disrespectful to have been treated in that manner and I shouldn't of gave them my business. I would appreciate it if management would look into what happened and address the employee's conduct. I purchased a TV streaming box with $212 cash. Out of the box it did not work. I went to return it the following day with the receipt. They refused the return and asked that I wait while they repaired it. Approximately 1 hour later they concluded it could not be repaired. I asked for a refund, they insisted that I provide identification per store policy. I stated that by law their policy did not supersede our laws. They then became rude and insulting. Frequent shopper here (USB / Ethernet cables / memory cards / etc) have had mostly good experiences.

So my MSI gaming laptops disk drive physically broke and I refuse to use a external drive. I brought my laptop in asking about how to repair it, the service person that was in (Chris) gave me a walk through on how to replace it which was a lot easier than I thought, but since he wasn't sure they had any replacements in stock he directed me to the other counter and that person quickly knew where and how much the part was. The part itself came to 37$ (which is cheaper than I thought it would be) Chris then showed me in great detail how to put it back together and didn't charge me anything extra! All round an excellent experience and very cool store with many high tech products plus it's very clean! read more

After a helpful service interaction buying a laptop spending over $2000, this location will not refund me my money for $70 earbuds which do not pair with my laptop. They say it works and it was opened so they cannot take it back. I get it, but I cannot use it and the packaging says nothing about not pairing with my laptop. This is such disappointing service and when I said I was not leaving they decided to call the police on me... I can't believe this is service policy. read more

Canada computers has become a staple in my life, since I built my computer back in 2008, and still going on strong. moving to Etobicoke, my options were very limited, going to the Brampton location I always dealt with, Mississauga location, or running to what used to be tiger direct(the previous tenant in this strip mall) I couldn't be ANY happier that Canada computers is now very, very close to home, this location never seems to fail me with all of my computer needs, anything and everything from just picking up a simple cord, to picking out something new for my home setup, this store always aims to please. the staff are super friendly, this location always has stock, and has a decent amount of parking. one of the best features of this location, is depending on what time you go into this location, if subway is making bread, that's pretty much all you smell, walking through picking out whatever you need. Etobicoke's best kept computer store secret, is right here. very clean, labeled well, and very bright inside this store makes it a full house of an awesome experience. read more

Hello, My name is Michael D. I visited CC&E today to purchase a computer. The sales associate Joshua C was the most knowledgeable and personable Customer Service Representative that I have encountered in a very long time. I told him what I needed and how much I was willing to spend. His recommendations were right on point and within budget. I don't know if they work on commission but I never felt for one moment that he was trying to sell me stuff to increase the sale. His customer service skills were impeccable and should be used as a model for others to emulate. My interaction with other sales assistants at that location was also very pleasant. Went there today and asked for HDMI to DVI cable and the Asian man tried giving me HDMI to DVI-G, I believe it was G or some other letter. Glad I double checked before I left. He tried telling me that is what I needed. I told him again what I needed and that's what I want . Again he tried selling me that same cable. Asking me what I needed it for and and gave me a explanation of all the different DVIs.. I tried to blow him off wait then wanted to act like he's a computer genius and kept running his mouth about all the different DVIs cord. I just shook my head like yeah what ever but then made a smart as comment about people who don't know what they want just shake their head like they understand. I really didn't care what he was saying I just wanted what I asked for. I ended up getting a refund and will never ever come to this place again. Don't give them your business! read more

This is not something I EVER do, I am very passive aggressive and kind, but I feel absolutely obligated to make this review and even take further action via head office. I gave this review One star as unfortunately this is the lowest denomination I can give. I went into 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 Canada Computers and purchased a MSI Codex R desktop computer tower for $1550.00 after adding on their 200$ warranty. Upon arrival of my residence I unboxed the computer and set it up, after set-up the computer almost instantly froze. Thinking not much of it I promptly turned it off via power button on the top and re tried, once the computer turned back on after quite some time it froze again. Having repeated this process twice more it started to work for a mere 15 minutes until the fan stopped spinning and the computer pulled up an error stating windows has crashed and that the machine would reboot automatically after the loading screen went away. % minutes later the loading screen turned black and would not shut down or restart, even after pushing in the power button. I called and expressed my concerns about the machine to be told to bring it back in for inspection, keep in consideration each trip to the store runs me 30-36$ via Uber as it was my ONLY option of transportation. Upon arrival I asked about their return policy to which the "Manager" completely changed his attitude and became very unresponsive and hesitant to further assist me. The manager told me briefly about the policy and then told me I could wait three days to have it inspected and repaired, this being a BRAND NEW system I said that was unacceptable and I would like an exchange or refund and at the very least they needed to service my computer that day. He reluctantly accepted that I wasn't in a position to travel back and forth on my dime and said to give him 2-3 hours and he'll call me when It was done. My girlfriend and myself waited out in the freezing cold January 7th 2021 for 3 hours, I decided to just go in and see what the hold up was to notice it had been "FIXED." I asked them what was wrong with it and the technician gave me some BS excuse that was clearly made up as he was going along with it as he himself seemed very unsure as to what he was saying. I hesitantly took back the computer only to bring it home and have it crash instantly every time I tried to use it. At this time I as a customer who spent over 1700$ at their establishment wanted to speak to the manager about this problem. I was greeted by a staff member who refused me service and told me the manager was busy with a "Customer" and they would call me tomorrow. After I expressed my disappointment with the service that was failed to be provided to me he eventually told me he would get The same "manager" to call me back. After 15 minutes I received a call from the manager at 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 expressing my sheer disappointment with the service provided when I was at the store earlier and that they seemed to not want to help me via return or exchange. Said Manager tried telling me about his experience being a technician for 40+ years and insured me that my computer wasn't defective, all the while I have video proof of this computer being extremely defective and after 10 minutes expressing my experience with this product he then SCREAMED " FINE! come by tomorrow and I will exchange it for you!" after which he threw the phone across the room as its apparent, I could hear said manager muttering curse words and the phone was being slammed against a solid object. He then hung up the phone after tossing it around a couple times. I held that to account and went into 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 to exchange the BROKEN computer they FAILED to fix the previous day. January 8th 2021 my Uber expenses were at $169.00 as I had to return today the 8th the last time to get an exchange. When I arrived at 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 I explained I was there to exchange the BROKEN product, they advised me to speak to manager at the service desk. I seen him and waved him over to me, He completely ignored me and I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come over and help me. I was refunded the $1516.00 and then asked what was wrong with it, this being the same guy that "fixed" the computer the day before I told him it freezes every second and doesn't work. They offered me a new one or told me I could buy the next best thing for 100$ more. I felt in a way violated at this point I rejected the offer and took my money with a $169.00 travel loss, this price excluding the initial 69$ that the first trip cost me to buy the machine cause that charge is on me. I would highly recommend to avoid 1800 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M9C 5H5 Canada Computer location. Now that being said my experience doesn't reflect upon any other location, just Etobicoke seems to have a very Rude and inconsiderate manager that treats his customers like shit. read more

Well I spent $6000.00 on computers in December, just couldn't buy them here. I bought from here before so did not expect that they no longer took Amex. I couldn't pay by visa even if I wanted too as my visa limit is 2k. So though the device was great and the info plentiful I took my print out to Best Buy and paid with my Amex. I get it, Amex cost a bit more, but realize that you can spend more on an Amex card. Is the extra cost worth losing a sale over? As a businessman I accept any form of payment, the expense of credit cards curtails the cost of lost sales carrying cash to the bank, and chasing people for money because the cheque bounced. They may want to rethink this "no Amex policy" as we have continued to replace our work computers and just spent another 3k this month just not at Canada Computers. Just an added note when I went to Best Buy in December with the print out from Canada Computers they not only take Amex but they supplied a more robust machine for a little less money. This was not the plan, I was ready to lay down the money at CC if they had taken Amex. read more

Canada computers is a scam at one time they were great but in western Canada the general feeling from managers is that they have a monopoly for computer parts. I go to NCIX whenever i can they always price match any price honestly i have come to hate there shady business practices. If you shop at cc don't expect and type of consistency, or customer service and definitely don't expect price match, out of 10 items they may be able to price match two. after my last few experiences i refuse to shop with them. The only reason NCIX can compete with them is becouse ncix alsmost always have low stock of even common items and that is the only reason. read more

I do not usually write reviews on stores like this but I felt compelled to do so with Canada computers in etobicoke. I have purchased many computers here for my workplace as I find their pricing has always been competitive and I've never had a problem with a product they sold me until now. I recently purchased a HyperXCloudX headset for my Xbox because I wanted to upgrade from the turtle beach recon I have. I did curb side pickup and it went smoothly. When I got home to use the product it had a number of issues including mic echoing and limited or no sound coming out of the ears. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to technology so I did everything and anything I could find online to try and fix the issue but nothing worked. Since this was the case I went to return the product. When I did this I was told all items were final sale and that no returns were possible. I was never told at any point during my purchase the item was final sale and only after I purchased it was the website changed to have a temporary "final sale" return policy. They told me if it really isn't working they could test it on a PC and if it doesn't perform they can return it to the manufacturer but I'm playing on Xbox and not PC so it may not provide the same results. I also don't know what you want me to say if it tests fine for your store but doesn't work for me. It's great it works on your PC in store but it doesn't work for the nice Xbox One X I have at home so what good is it to me. I'm not a liar and I'm not trying to take advantage of the store because like I said I've shopped there many times and had a great experience but I do not like when people take advantage of customers, especially during such a turbulent time. I just want what's fair which is a headset that works for my system at home but they wouldn't even accommodate an exchange for the same product, a different product, or even store credit. A lot of people talk about going to other stores and I don't blame them because I know if this was Best Buy I would not have this Issue. Next time my business needs a dozen new computers I'll make sure I make my purchase elsewhere. read more

Better than Tiger direct . Yes. Have lots of selection and items in stick . Yes. Not sure who us managing this store , but staff helpfulness is very bad , that is if they are not all clumped together talking crap to each other endlessly or having completely non service oriented convos with the computer store build your own PC nerd type FOREREVER. Product knowledge not great on segment groups such as networking. Maybe have the staff acknowledge customers and offer assistance and maybe even sell product . Duh Camera section is laughable since they do not demo what is on display , you know so not to open a box , the thinking is to sell sight unseen and have it returned open ?!?!?! Very useful use of expensive real estate , great way to sell in a retail environment ?!?!! Dumb dumb dumb I ordered online from someone else since I couldn't handle the product there and just wanted to see size Speaking of dumb, brought a a laptop AC universal adapter kit to the cashier checked with her why the box said "adaptor connectors included " and only one type . She stated they only come with the one . Confused why I was asking her why with what was listed in the box ( may gave been prior opened ) ie connectors vs connector multiple tips etc ...
