They kept my bike for a few days before calling and telling me they needed to order the right ones and some of it was on backorder for a month. The price and time frame didn't work for me so I took it to another shop for a second opinion. The new shop installed the parts I brought and said they WERE the correct parts. I don't know if this was just a mix-up by the technician at North Rim or some other kind of shenanigans to get me to buy expensive parts from them instead of using what I provided. Either way, my trust is gone. They also charged me $20 to take off and put back on the same broken crank set.

So when I planned a surprise 50th anniversary of our first meeting (now w extended family from all over), I knew bicycling and lunch in Bidwell Park was the way to go. I put my trust initially in GC's Jon(athon) for phone discussion, then easily made online reservations for nine of us. Since a tenth rider in our party was a 5 year old, GC's close proximity to Bidwell Park is definitely a plus! Over the week+ prior, I made a couple of calls to GC, speaking with the other Jonathon - also of great help for setup. On event day, Jonathon checked us in and took the time to size all rider's seat position for pedaling comfort and efficiency, plus helmets for those needing. Then we were off to the nearby One Mile entrance and our Lower Bidwell loop. It was a great day event of scenic exploring and exercise (including a delivered lunch to a park picnic site - side thx to Italian Cottage), transportation critically enabled by GC and their tuned to each rider cycles. When I got my bike back, the tire went flat almost immediately so I brought it back and asked them to diagnose why it kept going flat. They told me at the very end of the day on Saturday that they couldn't figure out how the flat was happening and that they were going to replace my tube again for 50% off. Then they closed for two days and when I went to get my bike back today they told me I could either pay for the 2nd tube they installed or I could never come back as a customer and I was banned from the store forever. They even admitted to having no idea how it went flat but they replaced the tube anyways. I spoke with the main manager the whole time and he was a complete moron and was super hostile. My advice: get some good tools and figure out how to maintain your e-bike at home from YouTube videos. That's what I'll be doing from now on. FUCK YOU ALL ELECTRIC MOTION

Instead, they ordered a new one from Sector 9 to make sure I had a perfect board and wasn't given the "beat up floor model." Josh was very responsive to my emails, and very clear with his communications and the steps they were taking. They value their customers and it is very evident by how I was treated. I cannot recommend them enough, and I cannot wait to make future purchases through them since I reignited the spark of skateboarding in my life.

Definitely sign up at Facebook to be notified of the event (starts a few weeks into the new semester). However, their service is outstanding and reasonably priced. Located on Chico State campus (between the BMU and the PAC) with convenient hours and now at their shop on 4th and Cherry, they are very conveniently located. We have Chico High students who ride their bikes to school--often through orchards and other areas where thorns and sharp pebbles come into play. As such, one of our kids got a flat and had no money on him for a repair. After a quick phone call to the shop, arrangements were made for him to walk the bike in, get the flat fixed ($7), and he was on his way again. Matt, the store's manager, called for the credit card information and processed it right then and there. Well worth it for the added peace of mind.
