They answered my 8746 questions patiently and I am sure I asked the same ones twice a few times. Regardless, I ended up getting the Trek 7.2 FX. They also give you some free tune ups and they gave me a free bike lock. I will be back there soon for a new seat and some other shenanigans I am sure my friends will talk me into. The bikes are pricey but you get what you pay for.

I was told I had the wrong parts and they needed to order the right ones. They kept my bike for a few days before calling and telling me they needed to order the right ones and some of it was on backorder for a month. The price and time frame didn't work for me so I took it to another shop for a second opinion. The new shop installed the parts I brought and said they WERE the correct parts. I don't know if this was just a mix-up by the technician at North Rim or some other kind of shenanigans to get me to buy expensive parts from them instead of using what I provided. Either way, my trust is gone. They also charged me $20 to take off and put back on the same broken crank set.

When you make that kind of effort to purchase a bike, the people that work there play a role in your purchase. Peggy was SO PATIENT in guiding me in my purchase and assuring me that the product I wanted was everything the manufacturer described it. Then, I picked up the bike and not only was Peggy super helpful EVERYONE in the shop made sure that everything about the bike was to the specs I wanted it to be bc they believe in the ethos that everyone should have fun riding in your bike. Again, they met me with such patience, knowledge and expertise that although the 6 hour drive was A LOT, I got the bike I wanted and just an overall great experience to why everyone should support their local bike shop. Instead, they ordered a new one from Sector 9 to make sure I had a perfect board and wasn't given the "beat up floor model." Josh was very responsive to my emails, and very clear with his communications and the steps they were taking. They value their customers and it is very evident by how I was treated. I cannot recommend them enough, and I cannot wait to make future purchases through them since I reignited the spark of skateboarding in my life.
