    Brand New Travel Trailer!

    Buyer Beware!!! We were excited to purchase our very first travel trailer. Wish we had known to say clear of Camping World before we made the purchase.This has been one of the worst experiences we have ever had! They don't tell you up front all the hidden costs and love charging you $695 for little things like walking through your camper for an inspection.

    Fiber Glass Damaage

    This establishment is highly unsatisfactory. The sales representative exhibited a profound lack of integrity and honesty. I strongly advise against wasting your time at this establishment. They attempted to sell an item I intended to view and did not desire, then informed me of my intended purpose while simultaneously claiming that the RV had already been bid on and that I could still purchase it in the event that the applicant's application was unsuccessful. However, they persisted in attempting to sell the RV to me while it was still under a bid, which appeared to be a reckless decision. Furthermore, the RV generator was unable to be started due to its requirement for service. If the applicant had already purchased the RV and I had submitted a bid, why was it still displayed in the lot while the establishment was charging $1000 for service? It appears that they are compensating the mechanic for their services, but this seems excessive, as they are already paid a salary for their work. The sales representative consistently demonstrated a lack of professionalism and honesty. His verbal communication was characterized by numerous falsehoods. It was evident that he was caught in a lie after one instance. If you decide to visit this establishment, be prepared to incur additional hidden fees. 1. The water tank required replacement, according to the salesperson, who offered a patch-up solution. I found this response unprofessional and refrained from expressing my dissatisfaction. 2. The RV had sustained damage from a rear collision. The salesperson dismissed the severity of the damage, claiming it was only a scratch. I questioned the authenticity of this claim, as I had experience with vehicles and could discern the extent of damage. 3. The passenger informed me that the RV had damaged fiberglass floors. I explained that vehicles are often sold in their original condition, and I did not find this response humorous. I am documenting all of these interactions. 4. A friend arrived and inspected the RV. He mentioned that the RV comes with hard-floor floors, but the floor in this particular RV had been replaced and appeared waterlogged. 5. He also informed me that the electrical wiring had been replaced, which could have caused electrical damage. However, when I requested a maintenance record for the RV, I was denied access to any records. This lack of transparency makes it difficult to make an informed purchase. 6. I did not appreciate the friend's digression about the twin towers, simply because he knew my friend is a retired veteran. This anecdote was unrelated to the price of the RV, which I repeatedly inquired about. 7. I did not appreciate the friend's revelation that he had sold a RV to a black actor from the television series "The Wire." This information was irrelevant to the price of the RV and did not concern me. 8. The friend's college education and the fact that he had sold 77 RVs last week were irrelevant to my experience. I am not naïve and can discern when someone is being dishonest. 9. The salesperson was untrustworthy and lacked professionalism. I did not appreciate his request for my identification to provide a quote. I simply wanted to know the cost of the RV, which he repeatedly refused to disclose. It is disheartening to witness the prevalence of dishonesty in the world. I would not recommend wasting your time with this establishment. While the RV lot may be functional, I would prefer to purchase from a reputable and honest source. The sales clown had the audacity to call me in the morning, requesting that I let him out a specific number for RV, the one I had walked out on. I confronted him on his lies and exposed his true nature as a liar and a crook. So, why would I want to give him a commission on a sale? No one in there right mind would give Dan the Clown a commission! I'm dumb founded by this parasite

    Untrue statement, bought a 2022 Travato 59 GL three weeks and was promised a new mattress, was told no three weeks after we purchased it. We have to keep the one with the yellow stains on it.

    If there was any way to give 0 stars or negative they sure deserved it. My parents took the camper they bought from camping world to get the roof touched up on it and after 6 months they finally got a call back saying it was ready to be picked up. Well to make a long story short they were given the run around on why the roof can't be fixed and then when they were able to walk into the camper and inspect the inside there were scuffs on the cabinets and walls, the roof was still messed up and I attached a few more pictures of everything they found. Mind you this camper was in pristine condition when it was brought to camping world. It amazes me how a company can be so careless with their customers so I highly recommend to not shop here EVER.

    To begin with I'm disappointed in myself for not getting documents to prove what happened. I know better but I guess I just trusted a company the size of Camping World to do what they say they will do. I also stood at a desk and watched someone write up paperwork on everything that happened and they assured me they would take care of the incident and make the repairs. This started in August 2023 when I picked up my 5th wheel from service from having a few minor things fixed that cost me $1600. I get there and I'm going over all the stuff that was fixed and notice a scrape on the front of the camper and that the ladder on the back was bent up. These things were not brought to my attention.....I noticed them. I assume the guy that moves all the campers around in their yard either hit my camper with another camper or vise versa. Before I left I had been assured by the service employees and the service manager that they would fix the damage as they wrote about it in my file. I let them know I was taking the camper to the coast for a few months and then to a deer lease until the end of January and then I'd bring it in to get the damage fixed. You can probably guess what happened. I called Camping World a few days ago to set up a time to bring it in to fix the damage and the "new manager" said they have no record of it happening and the repairs are on me and I should file it on my insurance. What? Really? The damage is probably less than a $1000 for them to fix and they are choosing to lose a customer and get roasted on reviews over a $1000. Seems like a great way to lose customers and run a business in the ground. So in the end I paid $1600 for service and a busted up camper. Oh and to top it off one of the main things I paid for on the service broke the first time I opened a slide because it wasn't fixed the proper way. Would give 0 stars if I could!

    This was the worst experience we've ever had at a dealership! From start to finish, it was a nightmare. The lack of professionalism from the staff at Camping World Tyler is appalling. We live in Connecticut and finally found the motorhome we've been looking for over a year through their website. Our dealings with them were over the phone and through video calls. We placed a lot of trust in Camping World of Tyler as we did not physically see the motorhome before it was delivered. We were lied to several times over the entire process. They told us that it went through their rigorous inspection process before it was delivered and assured that everything was in working order. The day it was set to go over for delivery, we were informed that it left at 11:30am and when we called the driver to confirm, he informed us that he had not left. We could not get ahold of someone until 4pm to tell us what was going on with our motorhome. They said it was "operator error" and everything was fine. The only reason we got a call is because we called Corporate, and they called the Tyler location for us. We had to get corporate involved several times to get a call back. We dealt with several unprofessional employees, who were rude and even trashed talked their own company. Courtney was the only person we had a pleasant experience with. She was wonderful to work with and always returned our calls promptly. If we could have refused the motorhome on delivery, we would have. It got delivered New Years Eve, right as the ball dropped. We were outraged at the condition it was delivered in. The driver took photos before he left as he was shocked that they would let it leave in the condition that it was in. We have a 15-item punch list of things that are not in working condition. Our first drive in it, we had to get a tow back to our house as the starter died. The starter is not engaging the flywheel. Thankfully my boyfriend is a diesel mechanic, and he did he own inspections after we got towed home. He realized that the fuel filter had never been changed. The leveling jacks do not work. They did not provide operators manuals as promised. There were numerous blown fuses, the refrigerator light was still broken, (they assured us they had changed after we noticed it was out on a video call). Screws were hanging out of the panel next to the driver's seats. One of the lights over the seating area was dangling as it was missing a screw. The oven door was broken. The vents were mostly black, the microwave was disgusting, and the seats were filthy. Clearly, they didn't even give it a basic cleaning. We called back the next day to complain and they said someone would call us back and per usual, we haven't gotten a call back (2+ days). We are now searching for and having a very difficult time trying to find a starter. We are getting a lawyer involved.

    My mother-in-law, Judy Rozell, bought a used camper from this place 6 months ago. Within the 1st week of purchasing the camper, she noticed mold starting to grow in various places. She contacted Camping World to make them aware of the situation and CW had her bring the camper into their shop to "fix" the issue. They had replaced the carpet in the areas where the mold was but failed to fix the cause of the mold, which was a crack on the outside. So as you can guess, the mold came back. She has reached out to them several times as she is elderly and has existing health problems and all this mold is becoming a health risk as its getting worse. CW keeps giving her the run around each time she contacts them. Now that they have the sale, I'm assuming they don't really care about what happens to her. It's sad they took advantage of an elderly widow and she is out thousands of dollars. I will be contacting local news stations and the consumer affairs office to inform them of the shady practices of this "business" so others aren't put at risk.
