In 2025 my husband and I traveled to Camping World in Tyler, TX hoping to purchase a 2026 Jayco Alante Motor Home. When we stepped in the business, we noticed a hard rock song started playing shortly after with the "N" word in it. They pretended to be nice and we pretended that they weren't being racist. (I AM REPOSTING THIS SINCE THEY HAD IT REMOVED) They said they could order the motor home and have it delivered but didn't offer to do that. We left our phone number but of course, they did not call us back. On March 10, 2026 we purchased our $150,000.00 2026 Jayco Alante Motor Home at Camping World in Bossier City, Louisiana. They welcomed us with opened arms and gladly took our money. I will never go back to Tyler, TX again, why would I? After complaining to the Corporate Camping World, Tawny at the Tyler, TX location left me a message saying, "I heard that you came to our location and heard some inappropriate music." I she serious? I think it was the people that played the inappropriate music OR did the music play it self right as a we began to speak with a salesperson whom by the way was more interested in our brand new GMC truck because his family owns a car dealership (so he said). read more

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service we received during our recent visit. My partner and I had a scheduled appointment, yet we waited approximately 2-3 hours without assistance, while other customers who arrived after us were helped first. We were later informed that the delay occurred because the sales team assumed, based solely on my last name, that we only spoke Spanish. As a result, we were told to wait constantly which ended up being for a Spanish-speaking representative--despite the fact that I do not speak Spanish and never requested such assistance.This situation was both frustrating and concerning. Making assumptions about customers based on their name is inappropriate and unprofessional. Not only did this result in a significant waste of our time, but it also left us feeling unfairly stereotyped. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed to ensure that future customers are treated with fairness, respect, and without bias. I went in for a minor warranty repair and an insurance claim. It took about a month for the parts and repairs on an almost new camper that's only 17 feet long inside. I can't imagine if I needed extensive repairs on a larger unit. Plus at $190 an hour for labor, I'll never go here for an upgrade item on my unit, or any repairs that are not under warranty. There are mobile repair shops that charge much less and come to you! I wouldn't buy anything from them either, except for the fact that this was the only dealer at the time who had a small camper with a tall enough ceiling. Most small campers have a ceiling height of 6'4" or less. This dealer had one at the time that is 6'8" inside. I bought my extended warranty elsewhere because they were not honest or fair in their dealings at the sales office in Fort Worth. I imagine all Camping World dealers are like this. Beware! read more

We purchased our first RV from Camping World in Tyler, Texas in late 2023. The sales experience wasn't terrible, but we had a salesperson who had owned the same camper we were buying, so he was very knowledgeable. $80,000 later we were the proud owners and went into the world. One year later we returned for the 1-year warranty repairs, which weren't major but there was a list of twelve items. That was in October of 2024, and now it's April 30, 2025 and our camper is still there. We've been told by the shop, "it's ready come and get it". A few weeks ago was our THIRD trip back to pick it up. Each time a couple of the original twelve repairs are completed, but each time we find new items broken or not working which did work when we dropped it off. We've found full tanks of propane gone, electrical system components no longer working, and most recently the leveling system no longer works. Their response, "we didn't do that" yet it's only been on your property with your staff touching it. To date, I've yet to be contacted by store management. The communication in general has been horrible. If you don't call them, you will not get a status update. There is no accountability for failed repairs. The overall quality of work is poor at best. My final thoughts on the store are their quick to sell you a multi-thousand dollar RV with a smile, but if they do a single repair on it you will regret that decision forever. Friends have told us "Camping World is where RV's go to die". Now I'm telling you that's true for the Tyler, Texas store. I pray our fourth trip back will get our RV out of Tyler, Texas never to return. read more

They attempted to sell an item I intended to view and did not desire, then informed me of my intended purpose while simultaneously claiming that the RV had already been bid on and that I could still purchase it in the event that the applicant's application was unsuccessful. However, they persisted in attempting to sell the RV to me while it was still under a bid, which appeared to be a reckless decision. Furthermore, the RV generator was unable to be started due to its requirement for service. If the applicant had already purchased the RV and I had submitted a bid, why was it still displayed in the lot while the establishment was charging $1000 for service? It appears that they are compensating the mechanic for their services, but this seems excessive, as they are already paid a salary for their work. The sales representative consistently demonstrated a lack of professionalism and honesty. His verbal communication was characterized by numerous falsehoods. It was evident that he was caught in a lie after one instance. If you decide to visit this establishment, be prepared to incur additional hidden fees. 1. The water tank required replacement, according to the salesperson, who offered a patch-up solution. I found this response unprofessional and refrained from expressing my dissatisfaction. 2. The RV had sustained damage from a rear collision. The salesperson dismissed the severity of the damage, claiming it was only a scratch. I questioned the authenticity of this claim, as I had experience with vehicles and could discern the extent of damage. 3. The passenger informed me that the RV had damaged fiberglass floors. I explained that vehicles are often sold in their original condition, and I did not find this response humorous. I am documenting all of these interactions. 4. A friend arrived and inspected the RV. He mentioned that the RV comes with hard-floor floors, but the floor in this particular RV had been replaced and appeared waterlogged. 5. He also informed me that the electrical wiring had been replaced, which could have caused electrical damage. However, when I requested a maintenance record for the RV, I was denied access to any records. This lack of transparency makes it difficult to make an informed purchase. 6. I did not appreciate the friend's digression about the twin towers, simply because he knew my friend is a retired veteran. This anecdote was unrelated to the price of the RV, which I repeatedly inquired about. 7. I did not appreciate the friend's revelation that he had sold a RV to a black actor from the television series "The Wire." This information was irrelevant to the price of the RV and did not concern me. 8. The friend's college education and the fact that he had sold 77 RVs last week were irrelevant to my experience. I am not naïve and can discern when someone is being dishonest. 9. The salesperson was untrustworthy and lacked professionalism. I did not appreciate his request for my identification to provide a quote. I simply wanted to know the cost of the RV, which he repeatedly refused to disclose. It is disheartening to witness the prevalence of dishonesty in the world. I would not recommend wasting your time with this establishment. While the RV lot may be functional, I would prefer to purchase from a reputable and honest source. The sales clown had the audacity to call me in the morning, requesting that I let him out a specific number for RV, the one I had walked out on. If there was any way to give 0 stars or negative they sure deserved it. My parents took the camper they bought from camping world to get the roof touched up on it and after 6 months they finally got a call back saying it was ready to be picked up. Well to make a long story short they were given the run around on why the roof can't be fixed and then when they were able to walk into the camper and inspect the inside there were scuffs on the cabinets and walls, the roof was still messed up and I attached a few more pictures of everything they found. Mind you this camper was in pristine condition when it was brought to camping world. Absolutely horrible experience. I had been in contact with a saleman and manager over email about a new 2025 fifth wheel. I even emailed the manager before we left to let them know we were on the way. Drove 3 hours to look at the fifth wheel camper. When I got there, the receptionist looked at me like I was bothering her. I said I had been talking with a salesman already. She didn't try to contact him. She just had a random saleman who was standing at the front show us the camper. Does Camping World not take pride in showing their products? The camper was filthy. Sawdust, metal shavings, and dust throughout. No one had touched it since it was delivered. The salesman was not very knowledgeable on the unit, either. We inquired about some minor issues with the camper. He stated that this is how they come from the factory. Some things work and some things don't. They are just the middle man. Really? And as we asked about the pick up prep process if we were to buy it, he stated they charge $995 for that. Really? We told him other dealers do not, like FunTown, RV Station, and Rocky Ridge. We have quotes from them. He stated they must pad the selling price with it then. Funny about that, both FunTown and Rocky Ridge are selling the exact same camper for $3000 less than Camping World. To begin with I'm disappointed in myself for not getting documents to prove what happened. I know better but I guess I just trusted a company the size of Camping World to do what they say they will do. I also stood at a desk and watched someone write up paperwork on everything that happened and they assured me they would take care of the incident and make the repairs. This started in August 2023 when I picked up my 5th wheel from service from having a few minor things fixed that cost me $1600. I get there and I'm going over all the stuff that was fixed and notice a scrape on the front of the camper and that the ladder on the back was bent up. These things were not brought to my attention.....I noticed them. I assume the guy that moves all the campers around in their yard either hit my camper with another camper or vise versa. Before I left I had been assured by the service employees and the service manager that they would fix the damage as they wrote about it in my file. I let them know I was taking the camper to the coast for a few months and then to a deer lease until the end of January and then I'd bring it in to get the damage fixed. You can probably guess what happened. I called Camping World a few days ago to set up a time to bring it in to fix the damage and the "new manager" said they have no record of it happening and the repairs are on me and I should file it on my insurance. What? Really? The damage is probably less than a $1000 for them to fix and they are choosing to lose a customer and get roasted on reviews over a $1000. Seems like a great way to lose customers and run a business in the ground. So in the end I paid $1600 for service and a busted up camper. Oh and to top it off one of the main things I paid for on the service broke the first time I opened a slide because it wasn't fixed the proper way. Would give 0 stars if I could! read more

No it wasn't a standard reply it was very much a "f u " in different words. Maybe it's because we're a military family that isn't originally from texas or maybe it's because we may look a little different. From inspecting an rv that had far too many items wrong that needed to be fixed, being told " um oh well, that's just how it is". Then to have the rudest salesmen and catch their paperwork lady role her eyes over a missing part of the trailer. If you decide to buy here, inspect every little bit of the trailer and don't take "it is what it is" You shouldnt have to imagine how to fix items before you even take it off the lot. The GM had no care about losing a sale, I guess they are so well known they don't have to worry, the gm wasn't surprised about rude staff and showed no intention of fixing it. Unfortunately they do not know how to repair vehicles here. They have lied to me so many times. They always have an excuse as to why things are not fixed. State they are waiting on parts when warranty repairs have not even been called in to the manufacturer. Their mechanics are not trained. GM does not call you back. They break more than they fix. They will hold your coach until it is out of warranty and then tell you it is your problem. They do not honor the extended warranty they sell. I should have realized that Camping World customer have several Facebook pages about how bad their service is and tricky sales techniques. Buyer beware. This was the worst experience we've ever had at a dealership! From start to finish, it was a nightmare. The lack of professionalism from the staff at Camping World Tyler is appalling. We live in Connecticut and finally found the motorhome we've been looking for over a year through their website. Our dealings with them were over the phone and through video calls. We placed a lot of trust in Camping World of Tyler as we did not physically see the motorhome before it was delivered. We were lied to several times over the entire process. They told us that it went through their rigorous inspection process before it was delivered and assured that everything was in working order. The day it was set to go over for delivery, we were informed that it left at 11:30am and when we called the driver to confirm, he informed us that he had not left. We could not get ahold of someone until 4pm to tell us what was going on with our motorhome. They said it was "operator error" and everything was fine. The only reason we got a call is because we called Corporate, and they called the Tyler location for us. We had to get corporate involved several times to get a call back. We dealt with several unprofessional employees, who were rude and even trashed talked their own company. Courtney was the only person we had a pleasant experience with. She was wonderful to work with and always returned our calls promptly. If we could have refused the motorhome on delivery, we would have. It got delivered New Years Eve, right as the ball dropped. We were outraged at the condition it was delivered in. The driver took photos before he left as he was shocked that they would let it leave in the condition that it was in. We have a 15-item punch list of things that are not in working condition. Our first drive in it, we had to get a tow back to our house as the starter died. The starter is not engaging the flywheel. Thankfully my boyfriend is a diesel mechanic, and he did he own inspections after we got towed home. He realized that the fuel filter had never been changed. The leveling jacks do not work. They did not provide operators manuals as promised. There were numerous blown fuses, the refrigerator light was still broken, (they assured us they had changed after we noticed it was out on a video call). Screws were hanging out of the panel next to the driver's seats. One of the lights over the seating area was dangling as it was missing a screw. The oven door was broken. The vents were mostly black, the microwave was disgusting, and the seats were filthy. Clearly, they didn't even give it a basic cleaning. We called back the next day to complain and they said someone would call us back and per usual, we haven't gotten a call back (2+ days). We are now searching for and having a very difficult time trying to find a starter. We are getting a lawyer involved. read more

I am a 100% disabled Veteran and I can no longer do what I used to, so we contacted Camping World about buying the camper we got from them 2 years ago. We came in from a nearby RV park and spoke to Brandon. It was an awesome experience all the way around! We had a great gentlemen's conversation about some minor details they would have to repair and NADA guide values. I understand that businesses must make a profit to succeed. He seemed to understand I wanted what I considered a fair value. We worked it out and everyone wins. Neither one of us "got over" on the other and I am all about win/win. If I miraculously recover and buy another RV, it will be here. This Camping World location is the best! They let me drop off and bring the title to them tomorrow on my way to surgery consult. They said they took care of the roof... they did not... and they still charged us for it. On or around June 30th, 2023, I took my camper to Camping World in Tyler for a warranty AC repair. On July 4th, 2023, I received a text from KC in service informing me that my parts had been ordered and that I may expect them by July 10th. On July 14th, I messaged KC to see if the trailer was ready. I received a response from KC on July 15th explaining that they were still waiting for the parts and that the new expected time was July 20th. This was the final text message I received from Camping World regarding my problem. KC in service contacted me in September. She informed them that she had bad news about the AC unit they had ordered from Keystone. She informed me that the AC had been lost in transit and that she had no idea what they would do, but that they were still working on it. I inquired if they could switch out the air conditioner for one they could get faster. She said she'd have to get it authorized, but it was doable because the unit coming from Keystone was over $1000 and the unit they had in stock was in the $900s. On or around September 18th, I received a call from KC at Camping World informing me that my RV was available for pickup. The RV repairs, according to KC, would be completed on September 20th. I told her that I had to work during the week and wouldn't be able to pick it up until Saturday, the 23rd. She replied that she will be out of the office that day and would like to be present when it was picked up. On Friday, September 22nd, I arranged for my brother to pick up the RV. I called KC to let her know that he was on his way to pick up the RV. I received a call back from KC after approximately 10 minutes, notifying me that the RV was not ready and that they were still waiting for the AC to arrive. I inquired whether they had another unit on hand that they could use. KC stated they had a unit on the floor that could be installed before his hour-plus travel. The unit was a different brand and 15000 BTU, however, it was less expensive than the one from Keystone. My brother arrived and waited for the trailer to be finished for about an hour. He arrived home with the RV at 5 p.m. that evening. We hooked the rv up to electricity to test the AC but it only operated for 30 seconds and threw an F1 error on the thermostat. I phoned KC and informed her of the problem. She organized the dispatch of a mobile repair unit. The mobile repair unit arrived at my residence the following week, on the 25th or 26th. He investigated the unit's connections, looked for the documentation that had not been included with the new AC unit, and discovered that Camping World had utilized an old control board that he claimed was faulty or incompatible with the new unit and the old thermostat. He stated that he would order the parts and return to fix it. Since then, KC from Camping World has called me and informed me that they will not cover the necessary items. She told me that they would cover the cost of the mobile repair person but would not cover the parts. I contacted and spoke with the manager, who insisted on billing me for the components. She informed me that the extended warranty would not cover the parts and that I would be out of luck. I contacted Camping World Corporate to submit a complaint about the Tyler site, and Sherry Wilk contacted me on September 28th. I told her about my encounter. Sherry stated that she would look into it. Sherry emailed me on October 3rd, saying, "I spoke with the location, and it's about $850 for repairs. I was approved for $350 of it. Please let me know how you want to proceed." My response was "This is not a repair; it is parts that were not installed when they took the AC in for a warranty replacement. I'll try to call you in a little later." Since her response, I have not been able to contact her via phone or e-mail. If things change I will update this review. Very much, BUYER BEWARE! We purchased our used Winnebago RV from Camping World Tyler in early April 22. Our sales guy was excellent. Joe Hulsey would get a 5 star and in-fact he is the only reason I am willing to give this company a gracious 2 star review. Joe worked his tail off to insure we were able to purchase an RV at a reasonable price, as is, plus cleaning of the unit. We were budget conscious and were only willing to spend so much and like most wanted the most for our dollar in today's economy. We were assured that everything worked properly and that it was a clean trade and it was. However, upon inspection, we discovered that the "fireplace" lights did not work but that it did blow heat. We inquired about it and our salesman said he would have it looked at. We had put down a deposit already and were getting ready to close on the deal. The service department told the sales manager that the unit needed to be replaced and would be $700 plus labor. Our salesman said not to worry that sometimes the bulbs burn out and he would look at it. This was something hat was not a deal breaker so we decided to go ahead and purchasing the unit. Of course as in all vehicle purchases you have extended warranties and we were offered a few to choose from and we wanted to be protected from the painted disasters that the finance manager described (Maria) and decided to follow her recommendation. We were assured that we could cancel anytime if we did not want it and we left with the expectation of picking it up the next few days. As it turns out. The fireplace bulbs had burned out and our salesman, Joe, replaced them for $8. Our confidence in their service department went in the tank! I told Joe to cancel our service contract and he said I had to talk to Maria because she handles finance and the warranties. I called Maria on a Tuesday, her day off, and left her a message to cancel our service contract. NO reply. I then emailed her to cancel our service contract. NO reply. I told the bank to not finance the service contract that it was to be removed from the note and they said Camping World needed to send over and amended contract. They did not. Their service contract is near $4000, almost 20% of the cost of the RV to use a service department that, I believe is poor at best (see their ratings) and out to gouge the customer. Any case, we are in a battle to get a service contract removed from our purchase with a group of people who will not return a call or communicate with the hopes we just take it.. I started conversing with the salesman, Jack, by phone and text a few day prior to going to camping world. My husband and I were wanting to purchase a used 2019 Telluride. After talking prices and being assured the camper had been through their "rigorous inspection" we set up an appointment on 7/30/22. After driving over 4 hours and pulling our trade-in we were told Jack was not available as he was with other costumers. Not a big deal. Dennis, another salesman, took over helping us. We went and took a look at the camper and decided that we did want to purchase it. We did have approval from out bank for the full purchase price, however Dennis asked if we would consider financing through them if they could match what our bank was telling us for payments. If we financed through them they would set up the 5th wheel hitch so we could leave with the camper the same day vs having to put down a $500 deposit and coming back with the cashier check. They were able to match the price so we agreed to finance through them. Dennis told us to go grab lunch and come back so they could start the hitch instal. While we were getting in the truck to leave he noticed we did not have any type of hitch set up. He had a service tech come look and the service tech said he would have to see if he had the rails to instal the hitch. Dennis said he would text me and let me know when he found out. While at lunch, Dennis text me saying the instilation of the hitch would be an additional $1023.00 to instal or and additional $500 to have it delivered to our home. I told him we wanted the hitch installed and would pay the difference. We returned about 15 to 20 minutes after that text. Once we arrived we were told they could not install the hitch because it was a half day job and they did not have enough time. So we would have to have the camper shipped. I told him we agreed to finance through them inorder to be able to take the 5th wheel home with us that day and if they could not deliver on that deal they would need to give us the hitch (paid for in loan) so we could have it installed somewhere else and they would need to deliver the camper to us free of charge. They did agree, so we started the paperwork. While filling out the paper work we signed the "SOLD AS IS" paper. DO NOT EVER DO THIS! WE LEARNED THE HARD WAY! When we hesitated to sign the finance lady told us we would do a walk through and they would fix whatever we found wrong after we finished signing the papers. After the papers were signed a different lady came and took us to do a "walk through". During the walk through we told her Dennis had assured us the power cord, and mattress would be included and they were not currently there. She wrote both down on a sticky pad. While inside the 5th wheel I noticed a soft spot in the kitchen and the awning light was not working. She added those to her sticky note. We were assured the camper would be cleaned, all issues fixed and it would be delivered in 2 days. Fast forward to Monday, the hot shot driver showed up with the 5th wheel. The mattress and power cord were there. The awning light and the soft spot on the floor were not fixed, and the camper was filthy! They did not even attempt to clean it! A day or two later we received a satisfaction survey email. I filled it out honestly. The next day my husband recied a call from Haley Folland, Camping World CV Specialist. He told her what had happened, and she asked if we had any documentation of the things that were wrong. My husband told her we only had a picture of the sticky note, and that we were told at the time of signing they would fix all issues found. Haley said that was normal practice for Camping World to do it this way and asked if we would be willing to bring the camper back to have this issues fixed. My husband told her we would not drive 4+ hours for them to fix something they should have fixed before it was shipped. She asked if we would be willing to take it to the New Braunfels Camp World (which is much closer to us) and my husband agreed as long as they didn't keep the camper for more than a couple weeks. Haley asked if we could email a picture of the sticky note, and said she would get with management and let us know what they said. A week later, we still hadn't heard anything. I tell my husband to send a follow up email. The day after the follow up email Haley calls my husband and tells him that they were not able to find any documentation on the issues and would not fix them. I spent 4 hours a day for 6 days straight cleaning that camper, trying to get as much of the dog hair out as I possibly could. Now we will have to take the camper to have the floor fixed and I can only imagine how much that will cost. I will attach pictures below. $50,000.00 for this 5th wheel.. I'm sure there are other things they charged us for when we bought the camper that we didn't receive that we missed. It's the same run around every time. Told our camper is ready for pick up and no work has even been done. The parts apparently are not even there. The manager Keith will tell you everything will be done by said date and the service department will call and tell you it's ready for pick up only to get there and you can tell the damage isn't fixed. Or the awning motor has been fixed when in reality they haven't even tried to fix it. They will rewire light switches so off is on and on is off though. This list goes on, these are just some of the most recent problems. The cost of gas and miles on our vehicles are adding up driving back and forth to pick up a camper that hasn't even been worked on. Got a call yesterday telling us Keith has lied to us and that our parts haven't even been ordered. So there was absolutely no way the camper could of been fixed when we got a call Wednesday that it was ready for pick up! This is something that camping world needs to make right. Whatever you do do no buy or take your RV to camping world! Find somewhere else! read more

Sometime back I wrote a review of Camping World's RV service. I gave them a failing grade at every turn. Now 2 1/2 months later nothing has changed. We purchased our Coleman 2515 on March 19 which means we have had it 4 1/2 months. The camper has been in their shop for over half of that time! Based on our current experience I would say that Coleman campers, bought from Camping World, actually have a 6 month warranty because even with the most minor warranty repairs the camper will be in the shop more than a month. It would be different if the repairs had been something major like a failed air conditioning system or electrical system that required full replacement. But these have been, or should have been, quite minor issues. The refrigerator door latch was improperly installed and needed to be replaced. The drawers were also improperly installed but the repair would require about 6 feet of furring strip, cut into 4 sections, and 9 to 12 wood screws. There was a leak between the awning and the camper over the door that would require a bead of silicone caulk. The most major issue was that Camping World installed a rear view camera, which we bought from them at the time we purchased the camper, in a way that keeps it running constantly with no way to turn it off. It's like having no "off" switch on the headlights in your car, the battery will run down in short order. Bottom line, we have owned the camper 4 1/2 months and have been able to take it out camping for 8 days! Unless you are comfortable ignoring the warranty on your camper and make all the repairs to it yourself I strongly advise you to purchase elsewhere. Don't just look at the features of the campers or be swayed by the warranty, check out the complaints about the repair department of the place you are planning to purchase your camper. If you live in the Tyler-Longview-Marshall area I can recommend Hayes RV in Longview. That's where we purchase our first camper and were I really wished we had purchased our second one. Their service department is outstanding, fast, and efficient. The only reason we did not purchase our second camper there was that in March (when we were looking for a larger camper) everyone was out buying campers and Hayes inventory was quite low (probably because of return customers). I wish we had just waited till their inventory recovered from the rush and made our purchase there. Learn from my mistakes. read more

My mother-in-law, Judy Rozell, bought a used camper from this place 6 months ago. Within the 1st week of purchasing the camper, she noticed mold starting to grow in various places. She contacted Camping World to make them aware of the situation and CW had her bring the camper into their shop to "fix" the issue. They had replaced the carpet in the areas where the mold was but failed to fix the cause of the mold, which was a crack on the outside. So as you can guess, the mold came back. She has reached out to them several times as she is elderly and has existing health problems and all this mold is becoming a health risk as its getting worse. CW keeps giving her the run around each time she contacts them. Now that they have the sale, I'm assuming they don't really care about what happens to her. It's sad they took advantage of an elderly widow and she is out thousands of dollars. I will be contacting local news stations and the consumer affairs office to inform them of the shady practices of this "business" so others aren't put at risk. read more

12-2-22 I took my rv in to get a leaking slide out fixed. They have attempted to fix it 7 times and charged my insurance $16,000. Now it is over 8 months later and I can only hope it is fixed this time. While they had it in the shop they ran into with a forklift and forgot to tell me for a couple of months. But as a courtesy to me they said they would repair the damages free of charge. I just find it hard to believe they can stay in business with such shoddy and unprofessional policies. read more

The parts people are very rude & act like they just don't want to deal with you. Especially the big red headed man. My husband was trying to buy something & had questions to make sure he got the wright parts while this man had the nerve to start breathing hard to let my husband know he was irritated with him. That is so unprofessional & we will drive to Dallas to get anything we need for our RV before we ever spend our money there again. I do believe the big red headed man is some kind of boss & if he is going to act that way to customers then the rest of them will as well. We will not put up with the rudeness we will take our business elsewhere. Don't call & ask if they have a certain part because they will tell you they do but when you get there they don't have it. They are to lazy to go look to see if they have what you need so they just tell you they have it when they don't. read more

Had an appointment set for today to have a/c warranty work done on our 2022 Jayco camper. Explained what camper we had and what needed to be done. We show up after driving almost 2 hrs to get there for them to tell us they don't service Jayco! Why they felt the need to waste our time is beyond me. They blamed poor communication on the new receptionist. Not only do they have poor customer service but they will throw their own employees under the bus. I have been in the parts department/showroom many times since our arrival to Tyler in early August2021. The showroom and warehouse are well-stocked (not as big as Dallas stores, but no traffic jams, either), prices are good (there is room for improvement on prices) and the personnel are tops! Top recognition goes to Becky, whom we seek out regularly, and who takes EXCELLENT care of us- both our product needs and getting us the best price available! Steve, Cameron, and another young lady (whose name escapes me, sorry) are close runners up! I have not taken in my RV for servicing (I'm a DIYer) but have worked with Ashley Betts (OEM Parts Mgr in Service Dept) a few times regarding some hard to find OEM parts and she was very helpful, going "above and beyond" to assist me. Their customer service is consistently SUPER and it is always a pleasure to shop here for our RV needs. read more

This place had ZERO customer service. Texas had a freeze-out in mid-February. Days AFTER the rush of emergency repairs, I tried to order an inline filter, pump and other freeze-damaged items. At CampingWorld's incredibly inflated prices, they could have made several hundred dollars from me that day. Unfortunately, they wouldn't call me back--well, not until two days later. We drove 1:55 of a 2-hour drive to buy what we needed. I called when we were 1/2-hour out to ensure they knew we were coming. I also called 10 minutes before closing to ask if they could wait because we were going to arrive 2-3 minutes late. She said they were closing as soon as the customer in the store checked out, which was 5 minutes early. I realize a business does not have to keep their door open after the posted time, but it was extenuating circumstances and we literally were one exit away. As we exited and before we even got back on the Highway headed home, I ordered the exact same items on Amazon for less than half the price. I will never shop CampingWorld again!! read more

I regret that I am forced to give them any stars. This place, primarily the service department is the worst I have ever experienced. My RV has been there for 3 month now and they still can't get around to sending the pictures that were taken when we brought it in to our insurance company so no work has been authorized. Despite many promises that they have been sent or that they will be doing it "right now", they still are not there. Calls are not returned. Service staff (Melinda) has no problem lying to your face even when we both know she is lying. The store manager is never in the store and like his staff, he does not return messages. Calls to Camping World Corporate offices are useless. They will talk a good line but nothing ever happens. I could go on and on with the nightmare that is Camping World but consider yourself warned. Do not do business with these people. I am sure that they hope that by changing their name they can wipe the slate clean. As long as I have a keyboard and some time, they wont. read more

Like the other review says BUYER BEWARE to bad i didn't look at reviews before i went into camping world Tyler.I purchased a 2020 starcraft from them the fridg wasn't cold at the walk through the tech said it takes a while to get cold so took it home plugged it in and the smell of amonia filled the whole trailer never got the slightest bit cool.I took it up to them when i went to get it off the truck the electric jack wouldn't work the in line fuse was blown so i went inside baught a package of fuses for two bucks it popped all of them as soon as i hit the button.The service girl standing there never told me she had someone coming with a fork lift to get the piece of junk off my truck i know now why they took my truck and hooked it up for me the jack didn't work.I jacked it up off my truck with the truck jack and it fell onto the ground only then the lady spoke up and said i have a fork lift coming .I am pretty good but not a mind reader.The service calls me over a week later says nothing is wrong with the frige i said mabe plug it in over night the next day the cooling unit was bad they order it and install frige works.At this point they have had the camper longer than me canceled 2 trips due to this garbage.I go pick it up get charged 395.24 and they act like they are doing me a favor.The charges are 140.00 for shop supplies and 196.97 for the jack that is still blowing fuses.They stuck a fuse in it and it started working and charged 185.00 for diagnosis but didn;t say what the problem was just stuck a fuse in and called it good.The deal is it was broke when they sold it and they sold me a waranty on it but it was already broke.I will contact the company that has the waranty and tell them even if i have to pay for the work the did and charged they are crooks. read more

This place is like a car dealership. You walk in and feel like a piece of meat. I walked in and knew EXACTLY what I wanted to see from looking online. Despite this, the old man salesman demanded we sit down and "chat" a spell before going out into the yard. He likes to "get to know" his customers he said. I don't need to hear about his camping experience the last 40 years. I told him multiple times that I knew what I wanted and just needed to look at a particular camper. No avail, this old codger was giving us the hard sell. I finally saw the two campers on my list and knew quickly they were not going to work for me. This guy wouldn't take no for an answer and even grabbed his sales manager to "introduce me" while I was attempting to leave. Don't come into Camping World unless you already know what you are looking for. What a beating. read more

Overall EXCELLENT from ALL team members. I have delayed this rating several months from my purchase of our used Class C to fully evaluate overall service. I have bought several RVs in the past from dealers and my experience has been the best with the Tyler team. From the time I entered the facility, I was not pressured to buy or mislead. Everyone were friendly and helpful, Especially the Financing Department. Provided the best loan company that met my needs. Also, the Service Department provided a comprehensive inspection of my RV and operation of all components. Followup contacts from my salesperson on how we were doing and the unit was very appreciated. Even the Parts Department notified me immediately on a part I ordered.
