This company does not give a damn about the customer. Took my Travel trailer in for repairs 3 weeks ago. Brand new trailer. Numerous items needed repaired. I was advised that it would take about 3 weeks to make the repairs. I called numerous time to speak to maintenance folks to get an update to the status of repairs. This place deserves no stars at all. Now let me tell you why. What we liked: Our salesperson. This was our first RV. He was fast, personable and found us what we needed at the price we wanted. Two weeks after we got our Class C camper, he left. I bet I know why. What we didn't like: 1) They had our RV for at least 4 weeks. It was nearly new. We were told they would check it top to bottom. When we got there the generator was not working. Don't understand why it wasn't fixed. Then the tech that was doing the walkthrough couldn't get the backup camera to work. Back it went to the shop. A 3-hour pick up turned out to be a 5.5-hour trip. The tech never finished the walkthrough and went home! As we were leaving we noticed that a drawer was broken! So we had to fix that ourselves, AND pay for the part. 2) We figured out later that the tech didn't know that the battery had to be on for the camera to work. How is that possible? And, our seats got scuffed with his dirty shoes to make it worse. 3) Two days after we had our RV the financial dept. called to tell us the bank had to check our credit. Umm, after we took possession? I had already locked my credit report (Thank you, Equifax). It takes $$$ and time to unlock it again. We were furious. It took us 3 weekends to get that done. Don't even tell me they didn't know I should have left it unlocked for the bank!! Who dropped the ball? To top it off, we can pay cash for this thing but they wouldn't give us the price we wanted unless they got the kickbacks for the financing. Oh, and we never got the $50 gift card we were promised. 4) Prepping the RV for Country Thunder and the AC would not come on. We had 48 hours to fix it. Have not even used it yet. 5) Discovered part of my screen door was missing. No one even told me I would have to get that replace. Worse yet, they could have replaced it before I picked it up. I ordered a new part through Thor. 5) Oh, The Good Sam 24/7 assistance that we paid bank for-- apparently they don't mean 24/7 on Christian holidays like Easter. 6) Called Avondale Monday, 3x with no human to answer the phone. Called Mesa Camping World, connected with a wonderful service foreman, Keith (I love you Keith) and he told me to come out immediately to take a look. In two minutes he found the problem. Avondale had not turned on the circuit breaker after they fixed the generator. ARE YOU KIDDING? I am pretty sure the tech I had, if he even still works there, didn't know anything about my vehicle. I'm pretty sure the rest, just don't care. So mismanaged. Deleting Avondale's information from my phone. Hope to never go there again. Read the other reviews. I wish I had. read more

I have been around RVs for many years and have found most of the people in and around the industry to be helpful and professional. Camping World in Avondale seems to be the exception to this. I had sworn to never go to this store again after past experiences. However, today a friend at the resort we stay at needed help getting his trailer to a service appointment. I consented to help him and had the unfortunate experience of meeting a woman who claimed to be the store manager on duty. I don't believe I have ever met a more abrasive, less professional, store representative in my life, and that's saying something. She was confrontational and overbearing from the beginning and without provocation. I stopped trying to talk to her because the other employees were clearly embarrassed with her behavior. I, unfortunately, didn't get her name. Not that it will matter as I won't be back for any reason. A store that would let this individual interact with the public, let alone make decisions for the employees that were trying to do a good job, definitely doesn't need my business. This place is horrible. Go to Walmart, buy online, drive to another state, do whatever it takes to avoid this experience. I have called at least 5 times and left multiple messages just to set an appointment with service without and return call. I have never worked so hard to spend money with a business. we purchased a travel trailer in may, 2022. we picked it up about a week later, supposedly ready to go and had been checked out thoroughly. haha,,,it was not! my husband has spent over 15 hours on the phone with the company who makes forest river, and others, and they did not even know where the circuit board was located. the service people at camping world have no clue what they are doing and i really feel like we are getting the run around. it is now october, and we still do not have the circuit board in place and working! no back up camera! app on phone doesn't work,,,won't even connect !!!! now brian, in service, tells us maybe november? this is the most frustrating experience! i would never recommend them to anyone....they were very nice and accomodating while making the sale, but now,,,we're stuck and just have to wait and wait for them to provide a brand new working fifth wheel travel trailer.... read more

I left a review a couple of weeks ago and it seems up have disappeared, so I am sending another. We brought in our Honda generator, which we purchased through this Camping World, for a recall issue. There were four people at the counter, but we were to to specifically asked to wait at a certain station for a female employee, who would be back shortly. After standing there for 15 minutes, and no one assisting us, another female employee came up and we said we had been waiting for 15 minutes, was anyone coming to help us. She asked what we were there for, and we again explained. She the said, 'oh, that gentleman can help you, he's the head of that department. Now, mind you, he had been sitting at a computer the ENTIRE time we were there! We walked over, explained the letter we received from Honda and handed it to him. He looked at it, handed it right back and told us that we can take it right back home, there was no fix to that problem. We were stunned and my husband was so mad, he picked up the generator and left. In the car, he asked me to read the Honda recall again, maybe he misread it. It stated in the letter, 'do not use until you go to an authorized dealer and gave it repaired.' Does that sound like there is no fix?? So, we went to John Deer, they took the generator immediately and repaired it. The service 'supervisor' at Camping World was rude, ineffective, and we will not buy from them again. Also, we received an ad and they had none of the items in the sales flyer, and told us to try Mesa!! read more

We had made an all cash deal with CW by phone to purchase a used toy hauler - we were told there were no problems and the unit was very clean. The salesman did say there was one minor bubble in the siding. We drove 180 miles to pick up the trailer, when we arrived they had the stereo playing, AC on, canopy out and I thought WOW we got a good deal. WELL... upon inspecting the unit I asked where the bubble was, Ron showed us one and we thought no big deal, went to the other side of the trailer and saw raised siding down the entire thing, we then see the front jack and both front stabilizer jacks were bent (looked like the unit hit the ground at some point) my husband then noticed what appeared to be roof leaks inside the unit. He asked for a ladder to look at the roof - the sales staff would not let my husband on the roof but sent up one of their techs. The tech said the roof looked solid and sealed, my husband then climbed up the ladder anyway and noticed several tears in the roof, the sales staff asked the tech (who previously said it was fine) if the roof had any tears, at this point the tech couldn't lie and said yes, there are a few. I read the bad reviews and still chose to ignore them... my bad!! If after reading all the bad reviews you still deal with these people you only have yourself to blame!! They are dishonest and will lie right to your face without hesitation. DO NOT DEAL WITH CAMPING WORLD!!!! read more

I am giving this place the least amount of stars possible. We bought our travel trailer from here and we had a pleasant sales experience for the most part. The real nightmare began with the service and parts department. They are a real disaster when it comes to customer service. We took our Pioneer travel trailer to get some warranty work done in May that was originally supposed to be ordered when we purchased our brand new Pioneer travel trailer in March. We found out this was never done. When we finally put some pressure on the service department and got the manager involved, most of the work was done, but some items still required resolution. We took our travel trailer out in June for a trip we had planned and once we brought it home, we realized the AC assembly for the inside of the trailer was missing! Our travel trailer was brand new and we had only owned it for 2 months before we took it in for warranty repairs and that interior part was there when we took it in. The service rep we were working with stated his technician didn't touch it and we were made to feel like it was our fault it was missing. After several weeks of going back and forth, we finally got a replacement to the AC assembly, but it was a cheap, generic trim piece that doesn't even fit our trailer model. The screw holes don't align and it is simply too big. I want this issue fixed immediately and i'm tired of going back and forth. I can guarantee you I know what happened. Either your technician or some other technician did go in and grab this AC trim piece for another trailer that needed repair. Apparently, we were informed by the service rep these pieces are very hard to come by these days even with warranty. I am highly escalated and disappointed in this place!!! I will never take in my trailer for repairs here and will definitely go somewhere else to get work done. I want to avoid others going through the same headaches we have gone through with this place so please read my review and go somewhere else. read more

Had repair work done on an RV after it sustained extensive damage here in Avondale. We purchased airline tickets from DFW to pick it up the day it was suppose be ready. It wasn't ready. We had to spend the night at a local hotel so they could finish the work. It was now suppose to be ready to go at 10 AM that following day. It wasn't. It's now 11 o'clock and we are still sitting in the lobby waiting for it to be completed. The only updates I have received are when I go and ask what's going on. We have 1100 miles of driving ahead of us to get home and we are running out of time. Ugh. read more

I would give zero stars if I could! Spent two hours in 117 degree heat looking at fifth wheels ! Wife and I decided on a redwood they had in stock after 3 days of trying to get someone to call me back so I could spend 80,000 on their lot and never received a call until I wrote a complaint on their website! I even called flagstaff to buy it from them and still have not received a call! They deserve no stars but have to pick one. Don't go to camping world for any of your travel needs or especially to buy an RV. These pricks said they were going to buy our motor home and reduced their offer by $5000 after we had already signed papers. They just gave us a number that was reasonable then after signing papers and bringing in our trade in, did they change the amount. They basically get you in there with "false" numbers and assure you that you made an awesome deal then on delivery, they screw you. Needless to say, I wasn't falling for their crap and left. I then ran out of gas and asked them for a gas can in which they responded it wasn't their problem. Didn't offer to help, just left us stranded in this heat. The sales guy is a real ass named Jay Lawry and is a liar and only there to screw you along with the rest of their staff. BEWARE! Don't be the next victim at this piece of sh$$ place!! Also we have friends that bought from here as well that we just found out have had nothing but problems especially in the service department. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Can't imagine how the customer service could have been worse before the new general manager took over. Bought a 35k trailer Nov 7 2014 to go to the Nascar race. Dealt with GM, assist GM , 2 salesmen, lady In finance, and a technician. Didn't get the same story from any of them. They did not deliver when promised The claim was they had s 130 pt check that delayed delivery. We we're told on the wall thru that they would fill the trailer with water and propone as we were headed to PIR for the NASCAR race. Ran out of water and propane on day 2. The water heater did not work. Did not receive keys our our temp tag until 2 days after delivery. And to top it all off they changed the deal after we signed and took the $1000 that we had agreed they would cover as part of our down payment out of my checking account with no authorization. Had wheel bearing repacked, 3 vent covers and folding door handle bought and installed,and the stove hood reattached, parts and labor was over $750 and they tacked on "Shop Fees/supplies" $114 over 15% of actual bill. Would not itemize and was told it was for rags, grease use of shop lifts and stuff like that. read more

Very poor quality in everything they sale doesn't matter the brand, I'll start by they didn't have my purchase ready at 8am like they said I waited for 3 hours then upon inspection found multiple things wrong with the unit we went over what was suppose to be fixed before they delivered and I felt we where on the same page then they say they will fix whatever it is before delivery/pickup. But instead of fixing it the right way they put a band aid on it, don't buy anything from here even if it's brand new they sale junk and don't stand behind there product, you have to go through leaps and bounds to get a return call back, and that's after they've already hung up he phone on you( Alicia decided to any way) the head guy in charge is power happy and doesn't like being wrong, so don't expect to go through chain of commend to get results through him either , I will be very surprised if I get my purchase fixed, but in the mean time I will figure out a way to stop the leak in the pipes that's now destroyed the whole trailer and all the wood, like I said this was suppose to be fixed before delivery,which camping world delivered from there facility to mine, I have yet to use my purchase being a week later because water is everywhere camping world is hesitant and not wanting to take responsibility or standing by there mistake , and putting it back on me ! I recommend know one wasting there time with this place, and either save your money or go else where On a positive note , I will say Kent wheeler the general manager before I had issues is a wonderful general manager and did everything he could to make the sale. 9/10 people here are wonderful and was a breeze to do business with, but the issue is camping world and how they conduct business higher up , just do what your gonna say and people won't be upset! read more

I wish we would have read the reviews on this place! When you buy a new trailer and are promised repairs are to be done you would think that they would be up front with you and tell you approximately how much time this would take. They have had the trailer in their repair facility almost as long as we have had the trailer. Replacing a warped side panel and fixing the scratches on the interior ended up with staples on the walls and screws through to the outside panel. Mind you the sales man we worked with was wonderful but everything since then has been a nightmare. Went in to the store yesterday to check on the status of the repairs as they won't return calls with messages left, to be told by the repair person "well it's useable " seriously this is not what we were promised! If they were upfront about how long things would take they would not have so many upset customers. Just be straight with people! read more

I will not recommend buying anything from this company. We bought our 2016 Forest River Sierra May 19, 2016. Before purchasing there was a light missing above our recliners was told this would be fixed prior to us picking it up. Was not fixed. During our walk thru I noticed the wood above the recliners is bubbling, two dinette chairs scratched, master bedroom ac not programmed, couch coming unstapled, comforter had several gaping holes in it. They did give us a $50.00 gift card for the store to replace the comforter. Albert tryed to fix the chairs only to make them worse. Promised they had ordered the light, still don't have a light after almost two months. Have been lied to several times by Kim and George in the service department. Albert lost his phone during our walk thru. He took an hour to look for it. He told us he would call us to program the 2nd ac later that day, never did. The next morning my husband pulled the ac vent down and discovered Albert's phone up there. He called to let Albert know we found it and would return it when we came into on Sunday, Albert did finally call back and walk my husband thru the programing for the ac. We originally made an appointment to get all things fixed on June 4th my husband pulled the 5er from Yuma to go there to find out they said we never had an appointment. Gave them one more change made another appointment for June 17th they had nothing in. They do nothing but lie and give you the run around I'm involved in several RV groups and will be letting people know how horrible they are Tomorrow I will be contacting Forrest river to get this taken care of my husband spoke with Kim today and again lied too him. You guys really need to make your customer service better!!!! And I might add I spent over $60,000 cash for our 5th wheel. We also will be filing a complaint with the Better business bureau. read more

I went to Camping World in Avondale today to have some work done on my travel trailer. Although I had been in their store, and they are generally very friendly, I was surprised how friendly and accommodating the staff in the service department are. The service advisor that assisted me was Phillip Mayse and he took the time to closely listen to my issues and helped me resolve them. While listening to my issues he realized my travel trailer had another potential safety issue which he later had resolved by technician Derek Wingate. Derek also was very helpful as he gave me advice as to what to watch for and how to resolve it. Being a relatively new RVer I really appreciated the help and advice. I will definitely return to Camping World and will definitely ask for Phillip. read more

*****update****** 6-24-15 As i stated yesterday, I spoke with the general manager, Tom Alexander about the many issues that we have been dealing with for the last 5 weeks. Yesterday Tom assured me that here was there to help and he would do what he had to to make the issues right. Well, I waited 24 hours and called back today to see what kind of head way he made on my behalf. ****guess what***** I was told when i called today that he no longer works there. someone in service informed me that tom had put in his resignation two weeks earlier and yesterday was his last day. What a coward!!!! He didnt even pass my issues on to the next in command to keep my long string of issues moving forward! But i guess its not his summer trip with his kids thats looking like its going to get canceled..... In addition, I have tried for three days to get in touch with Lorial Hill at the Mesa (whos in charge of licensing for all sold rv's) with no luck. Tom Alexander told me that he spoke with her many times a day and that he would get her to call me back so I could get a tag for our trailer........ BUYERS BEWARE. This is a long story. We have been looking for a used not too old RV and found just what we wanted on the RV trader available at Camping World of Avondale. After quite a bit of negotiating we settled on a price. As we live in San Diego we decided to make the trip to view the RV. We did a refundable deposit to hold it until we arrived in Phoenix. Before we arrived we got several messages that the coach had gone through a "10 point inspection" and was in perfect condition. Sounds great. Let's make the trip. The day before we left our sales person, Don Nappen informed us that there was "some discoloring" on the front cap of the 5th wheel. OK, we'll look at it when we get there. Not structural, so should be OK. We got there the day before our walk thru and decided to stop by and check it out. Yes, the top and down the front of the cap was completely discolored. As this was a one year old coach I asked Don why this was not covered by warranty to the original owner? He kind of shuffled his feet, looked down with an "I don't know "answer and changed the subject. We proceeded to look around the coach and under it at the sealed underbelly. In plain sight in the back the underbelly was broken away from the frame under the 80 gallon water tank and the tank was lopsided where it was supposed to be secured. Interesting. So much for their "10 point inspection". We showed it to Don, and he agreed it was an issue. We proceeded to go inside the coach. Everything on the inside looked normal. I have a habit of looking for the owners manuals for several reasons. I like to make sure they are available and usually people keep any repair receipts with the owner's manuals. BINGO!! Camping world obviously had not gone thru the manuals to find the repair invoice from the original owner that we found. There was a laundry list of items that needed repair, and were all marked "warranty". We took a picture of the invoice and proceeded to leave for our hotel to make some phone calls. The original owners name and phone number was on the invoice. He was very nice and very informative. Apparently he said there was a water leak under the RV that caused him to pull over while driving and drill a hole in the underbelly to allow all of the water to drain. He knew there was a leak, but did not know where it was coming from. He took it the Avondale camping world for the list of warranty issues to be repaired, but decided to trade it in as camping world told him it would take 3 months to receive delivery of the front cap. He figured Camping world would take care of the warranty issues, including getting a brand new front outside cap from the manufacturer. The phone number for the manufacturer was also on the invoice along with the VIN#. We called them only to find out that a brand new front cap had been shipped to Camping world in June of this year! This is where it gets real interesting. We started to deal with the sales manager, Eric Peabody. This man is a pathological liar. He takes bullsh****ing to a new level. He must think everybody is an idiot and will just take what he says as real. He came up with every excuse and lie in the book to try to explain what happened to the new front cap and why it wasn't replaced. First it wasn't shipped to them, (sorry, but we already found out it was from talking to the manufacturer), then it needed to be sanded and painted before it could be installed (sorry, but it came gel coated and ready to install, all they had to do was buff it out and add the decals), and then install it. Then we went back outside to see what was done to the water tank issue. It looked like they did about a 10 minute job of adding a few screws to the underbelly that was hanging down and added some black tape over the tears to the underbelly. We knew nothing had been done to find the leak and fix it. Obviously we knew we were not purchasing this RV from them and this trip was a waste of time and very frustrating. We don't know if all Camping World's operate like this, but we certainly hope not. We should have gone onto Yelp before we made the trip as there are plenty of bad experiences just like ours from many different people. read more

We had the worst experience of our lives at this Camping World location. We brought our Class C motorhome in to be repaired on September 9, 2019. The guy that was supposed to be taking care of the claim took pictures the day we brought it in and told us he DOES NOT answer phone calls and will be communicating via email only. After a week we sent an email inquiring about the progress and received a curt response about it being an older motorhome and the parts weren't just laying around on a shelf. On October 16 we received an email stating parts are not available. October 23 we went to Phoenix to see what was going on with the claim. When we were there we called our insurance company and they informed us that the claim had been closed because they had never received any photos of the damage. The service manager we talked to while we were there had no idea that our unit was even there or that there was a problem. He said if we leave it one more day they might be able to fix it. We took our unit home. All I have to say is this was the most unprofessional, unorganized facility I have ever seen. When my husband called the service department the man who answered the phone did not understand my husband's last name Shear and said is that "queer" "fear" or what, being insolent. I would not recommend this facility to my enemy. There was even another couple their picking up their travel trailer after 30 days of not doing anything to their unit also. This is no way to run a business. I want to give them no stars but that is not an option! read more

We asked for the best price out the door of a unit they had in stock and they were unable to provide any info until they had every bit of personal information they could squeeze out of us, and then after waiting an uncomfortable amount of time, their best price was only the sticker. On top of that they would not give us a trade in value on a trailer we were considering trading in until they ran our credit....which makes no sense at all. read more

Word of advice: DO NOT BUY AN RV FROM THIS PLACE!!!! I bought a Dutchman back in May. I did my walk through and noticed things wrong with it. I was told I could bring it back for ALL the repairs to be done since it was under warranty, which I did. My new RV sat there for 3 months!!! Only to realize the work was still not done right. I took it back with a week after bringing it home and now it's been over 1 month and still not fixed. In the mean time my generator won't start and CW is trying to say it's my fault for not starting it and that is not covered under the warranty. They said it's going to cost me 500 to fix!! In the 5 months I have had it, its been at CW 4 months!! I'm so done with this place that I'm getting to all Gary Harper 3 on your side!! CW needs to clean house and hire people who want to serve the customer. All they do over there is pass the BUCK!!! A VERY upset customer!! So please think twice before purchasing anything from them. Oh and by the way my RV is still there! If you look down on the reviews you will see the name George G. That guy works there! How pathetic that their own employees have to give themselves four stars because they know their service SUCKS!!! read more

I would have to say the sales department a decent score. However, my camper has been in the shop since July and appears there is no estimated time that it will be done. The service department is a disaster, the supervisor has no idea what he is doing apparently. The last time I heard from him was like two months ago. The service advisor has been decent, but the rest is terrible. Every time I call there is some kind of issue. I would never purchase an RV for this place. I just hope my review will make someone stop and think. I did not read the reviews, however, I should have. My $100,000 coach should have never made it to the showroom because of these major issues. I am thinking they do not care what they are selling just to make a buck. Now I am caught in some crap where they are trying to pass the buck as to why they cannot get this figured out. Please, even if you find something you like do not buy it because this place is smoke in mirrors. They will sell garbage just to make a sale. Do not take your RV here! We have been waiting 2 months to have parts put on that we bought and brought in ourselves! Phillip, Gary and George have all lied to us. We continue to not have phone calls, texts or emails answered. We have resorted to going there at least once a week to get updates. Our rig sat for a month before they even touched it. We were promised again it will be done today. One way or another we will be taking it today. Update: When we got to Camping World to pick up our bus it was on the lift. They had managed to get the airbags and new shocks on but the rest of the 5 items we wanted were not done! George had told us he would cover our co pay for the warranty work, but when we went to pay he rescinded that offer of good will. I don't know if there was anything at this point that would make up for their poor business practices and lack of mechanical knowledge. When we finally got our rv back to the storage facility the engine was making a terrible noise and the wiring had been messed up. Thankfully my husband's health is better now and was able to fix it. We will NEVER go to Camping World (Avondale ) for ANYTHING! That place makes my skin crawl!! read more

The camper had a pre-existing tear in the flooring (they weren't sure why it was there) and a corner piece of some paneling was lifting away from the entertainment center (from the heat? Idk). "Not to worry", we were told, "we can replace your flooring no problem", we were told. "We can glue the paneling back down, no problem", we were told. So we bought the camper and also bought the Camping World's warranty. While signing our paperwork, they "fixed" the panels with staples... I showed them that there were not any staples on any other panels and now the staples were coming through the opposite side panels inside the cabinets and they even missed a corner of the panel that was still not attached... I should have ran then, but they assured me it was not right and they will fix it. So we took the camper home for 2 weeks to play with it:) We then dropped it off and they kept it for 2-3 weeks , when we come to pick it up our brand new "fixed" camper.... While doing a walk through on site, my husband and I open the slide-out to see all the pretty new flooring, when something under the slide out catches on the new flooring and rips another hole it. Also, that paneling that was supposed to be fixed and "glued" back to TV center, was stapled all around the square! Those sharp staple ends were still sticking out of the paneling on the opposite side of the TV center, with chipped pieces of wood all laying inside the cabinet. As if nobody saw that... Or maybe didn't think we would care. (FYI - staples are not used to secure any other original paneling on the TV center) **New list of "fixes": new flooring AGAIN, new flooring that was not extended into the bottom of the TV center (as it was to begin with), shave off screw heads under kitchen table (that was the cause of the slide out catching on the flooring), and try to fix the panels AGAIN (order new wall panels for the original side and the side THEY ruined with staples). Another 2-3 weeks later, we go to pick up the fixed camper (as they told us it was all done over the phone)... The new flooring has bubbles everywhere! Seriously?! Who is your quality manager that reviews all the work that is done?.. Not just a couple bubbles, not all small. Some bubble were more than 6-8 inches long. The paneling that was replaced had been cut too short on 1 corner and didn't fit snugly.. The paneling on the opposite side (that they ruined) was shoved in too snugly and caused the top of the wood paneling to be chipped and cracked. So disappointed in the quality of everything here. I mean I'm really not a complainer and my husband and I are very understanding people. I'm NOT trying to be picky, really if it was maybe one small bubble in the flooring or one side of the paneling was perfect and the other was less than perfect, I might not be writing this review. But IT IS OBVIOUS no one cares about their workmanship here. We then requested to speak to a manager who agreed that the flooring and paneling was not done correctly and assured us he would "email" several people (managers of quality dept., parts., etc) and get back to us for more repairs - I assume. So we had to leave the camper AGAIN.... We are making payments on a camper that we can not use. I don't know what to do. It's just POOR quality of work that has completely taken the excitement out of having a camper. This story is to be continued... read more

If I could give this place a NO STARS, I would. I am so upset with the service department for poor, unfinished work and very rude attitude. I am actually still so very upset that I don't think it appropriate to say what I really want to say. I left with my RV service incomplete today and torn apart. I do not at this time recommend this place for anyone. read more

Classic bait and switch. Spent an entire afternoon with Debbie the sales lady. Drove all the way to Mesa during rush hour to look at a unit. Was shown the unit and we liked it. Agreed on a purchase price. Signed contract and put up earnest money. Was contacted by Elizabeth the finance lady to set up delivery for Friday and she sent an email which included the final paperwork to sign. I noticed it contained a different vin number than the one I had looked at. Luckily I had taken a picture of the vin while we were at dealership so I could get my insurance started. After bringing up the discrepancy in vin numbers, I was told no less than three times that I had been looking at the wrong number. At this point Jim Johnston became involved. He is the manager. Again, I must be an idiot, because I was told I looked at the wrong number. Turns out I was shown the same unit only four years newer. How was I supposed to know this. I would have looked at the other unit but never heard the magic word. The whole time this was going down it kept somehow being my mistake. The magic word is sorry. This is the straight up definition of bait and switch. Get a person hooked on something then all of a sudden that deal isn't available. Everyone did seem real excited to try and sell me a unit still. I'm buying a road master dingy tow system and in the process of having it installed at Camping World in Avondale.. The first date for installation all the parts where not in. The new appointment was set for Monday. August 26, 2019. They told me it would take 11 hours. When I got there at 8:00, my appointment being at 8:30, I was told that it would take 3 days. Today is August 28, 2019 and I am now being told that it won't be ready until Friday, August 30, 2019. The staff are very pleasant, but can't seem to be able to get anything done. I only have this one vehicle to get around in and my daughter is flying in to Phoenix on August 29, 2019. I told the service department personnel that I'll have to get my vehicle and reschedule to complete the installation. They have already added an additional $200.00 to the installation which brings the total over $4500.00. I'm really disappointed with the service I'm receiving as I've always been treated very well in this stor. read more

Well after reading some reviews i think everything was already said!!! I will attempt a Short story, if you think you have to buy anything from this place go online and do all the research you can possibly do cause no one at this place has a clue of what they are doing, i am surprised they are able to stay open!! the only reason i still bought from this place is cause me and my wife decided we wanted the Coleman QS10 and they are the only place that sells it, i have regretted every day sense buying it. i cringe every day i go in there for anything. After my 1st trip out it rained for 15 min and the pop-up started leaking and the teeth on the zipper door broke off, not fun for 1st time buyer, very irritating not Camping Worlds fault but when taking it in to get fixed that was something else. I was told to go see person after person how do they not know who i need to talk to? after getting to the correct counter where the service people are suppose to be... naturally no one was there to help me. And the lady told me to stand there said that a person would walk through door at some point "who knows when" to help me. I thought this was crazy so i asked " so i am suppose to stand here and wait for someone to magically appear at some point to help me and you have no idea when that might be?'" she said well basically yes. REALLY??? What kind of place is this? I let her know i am not doing this and to call on the intercom or what ever to find this person, so she went back and got they guy...now how hard was that. That is just one bad experience of many I have had with this place in the short time I have had to deal with them. Cautionary tale of my recent experience with the service department and extended warranty (not Good Sam). Went in on 4/22 with list of 3 things to fix, two of which involved replacement of Winnebago OEM installed items. As Camping World is a Winnebago dealer I trusted that the would have parts source for their products. I took my rig out of their service department on 5/8 with neither of the OEM parts replaced. Reason? Camping World was sourcing the parts retail and then marking them up 70% and extended warranty company refused to pay. Camping World justified markup and explained that they unfortunately don't have a wholesale source for Winnebago parts and that I'd have to make up the difference out of pocket if I wanted the repairs done. So, if your repair requires parts and you have extended warranty you may be in same situation. BTW, warranty company was willing to pay keystone 40% markup. CW didn't budge. On repair that was done to fix a leak involving the roof mounted A/C the service tech left oily footprints on the carpet and A/C panel fell on floor as I pulled out of their lot. On the repairs that were not done, one involving the OEM Nav system, the dash panel was replaced without reconnecting wiring harness to door locks, emergency flashers and rear defogger which I didn't discover until I tried to unlock my doors. This doesn't begin to express my frustration with the experience of dealing with a company that really doesn't seem to care about customer satisfaction and service. You are forewarned. read more
