Came in yesterday during their warehouse sale, an hour before closing. Staff was great, friendly and able to help us out. This is about the third or fourth time here and there's not much shoppers, so it's like having the store to yourself. I was shopping online and had a cart ready, luckily I needed to find size 14 mens boot and to my surprise they had some and we left content with our purchases. I was able to find all of my online items during the visit which was a big plus for me. They did mention larger sizes are hard to find in both boots and pants. We were in search of a 46 size pant and were advised they rarely get any pants in store that size; online they do have them though. read more

I really like 5.11 gear. I have 20+ year old tactical pants that have held up against the rigors of training in the desert; I have numerous "range bags" that I've used 2-3 decades now: love 'em. The people who work at this store re the greatest, always patient with my silly, endless questions, never in a hurry. They have good manners, and they're courteous. One criticism that I hope someone will take seriously: even at their Stockton headquarters store, it seems that the store itself is only a showroom for internet sales... but finding stuff on their internet site is difficult, and the categories they have chosen in a few cases are a bit "iffy"... and getting a pair of boots to fit properly might mean sending half a dozen pair back to the company before you find a decent fit, if at all. So... I'd suggest that, much like clothing, you have an adequate supply of shoes in stock for people to try on: one size that fits is likely not to work for another make of boots. I've heard people complain about prices. May I say that the cost benefit of having tactical gear that's well designed and constructed -- but costs more -- is a good tradeoff for wearing out cheaper clothing after a few years? I've been a customer since the 1990s. As long as they keep the quality up, I'll keep coming back. read more

Selection everywhere from walmart to REI is rough right now. These guys are cool about letting you try stuff on and ordering from other stores/calling other stores for you if you want to travel. Great customer service. I think 5.11 would fair better with the EMS community if they did a discount for EMTs, $80 a pop for pants is hard for minimum wage workers but its nice to experience some old school customer service and pride in operations. read more

Went into the "New" 5.11 store today excited to spend my whole paycheck on some tactical goodies for work. i drove 30 miles out of my way to visit the Avondale Store. I was greeted by asking what brought me in today I stated the "Grand Opening" and all I got was a blank stare like I was in the wrong place or the store wasn't open. And The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday but all the marketing stays its today. So I just turned around and went to my truck. I felt like I wasn't welcomed there so I will spend my hard earned money somewhere else. I am a Disabled Veteran and I work very hard in the trades to provide for my family so this is a slap in the face!! read more

I went in this store and they didn't carry any brown pants and also only had two types of women's boots only in black. Not at all happy with the selection. Not able to cater to the Dept of Corrections or Sheriff if I was told they have to order I could order online myself Just want to save people time. read more

Great clothes, excellent customer service. I went in and everyone was so helpful. Granted their clothes are expensive but they are quality and if you are doing tactical jobs or just out camping, I highly recommend. I'm so glad there is a stand alone store. Please never go away. read more

There is a girl who works here named Britney. I went in today because I needed to upgrade my pants. I have a bunch of strike pants that I wear daily, durable, but can be worn out to nice places like Truffoni's without drawing too much attention. But they have made me sterile in the summer heat. Long story short, I needed some pants that were more 5.11'y so the airsofter kids up the street won't make fun of me when my grandparents visit from out of town from Scottsdale because they are medium grade. I wasn't getting all that I needed out of my strike pants. Call me old fashioned, but they just didn't pants the way they used too. I've grown as a person since strike pants came out, metaphysically, emotionally and genderly. People can change. I told Britney that I needed pants that would really let me be free to do other things with my time then spend all day thinking about what I wasn't getting out of my pants. I needed an overall better pants experience. I tried on a flight of new samplings and holy guacamole did my life change for the better. Britney promised these new offerings would help me to run faster, jump higher, make more friends and even feel less lonely around the holidays... And boy was she RIGHT. I wish these pants made me look less diabetic but those ones are moisture-wicking and overpriced and she said the materials are being held up on a cargo ship off the coast of Slovakia because of covid and war stuff. I usually just shop at The Creeks so I found this store to be expensive but considering the pants will go well with my shirts from Dan Flashes, its worth it to be late on my child support. They don't really need it anyhow. Doug told the whole team I'm using all my per diem allowance on clothes. I will admit I am using the money the company is giving me to buy shirts. They have this new shirt that costs $450. read more
