My husband and I had to travel from Out of State to TX for a Family Emergency and on our way there, during our stay and on our way home our RV A/C was malfunctioning. We showed up without and appointment, but With a warranty and met Rod Owen. He went above and Beyond our expectations. They were booked up clear out until July. But knowing that we were going into a triple digit climate with a small 14 year old chihuahua, he managed to get us in the very next morning upon opening, diagnosing the issue, and replaced our unit with one, by the Grace of God, that he had in stock. He had us out of there and back on the road by 3:00! We are so impressed and thankful for the excellent customer service that was provided to us today. Camping World NEVER lets us down. Just came from there trying to find some exterior led lights.... horrible!! First, you walk in and there is some angry girl playing on her phone and the computer. Just stares and you and doesn't say hello, boo or f-off, but her eyes say it for her. Plenty of employees milling around, but no one makes eyes contact. I walk through their 5 aisles of merchandise, very small selections, and only found one led light set, multicolored for $100. Nope. I Ask a guy about it, after begrudgingly stopping to halfway listen, he said I'd be better to go online. No s#%! Sherlock. Im done, shaking my head as to why I ever came back here again. 3 strikes and you are out CW!! Only reason I gave them a 2 star is because of Rod and his service team. Did me right on a warranty issue with my slide in and packing my bearing. He pretty much underpromised and over delivered. Kudos to them. Sales bunch... never again. We were traveling through El Paso to Arizona and our electric hitch had quit working in Ft Worth. This unit is brand new. At 4:30 pm we happed to be rolling west on I 10 and saw this Camping World in Anthony, Tx. We called and left a message on the service line. Within a few minutes Rod O., a manager called us. After explaining our situation with this 3 week old unit he said they were booked for service but if we could be there at 8 am the next morning they would look and see if it was an easy fix. We were there at 8 am. Rod talked briefly with my husband and he and two men came out to look. Within a couple of minutes they found the fuse problem in an area what we was unknown to us. ( Hubby had replaced one fuse but this was in a separate area). Within 10 minutes of our arrival, we were back on the road west. We also visited their shopping area. Everyone was friendly!! Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. I wish we could have this nearer to our home. We will absolutely come here for service when we are anywhere near by and have a problem. Has to be one of the worst experiences I have had in a while. It is also the FIRST time I have ever been locked in a dealership along with another family/customers. After walking in with the intention possibly spend $50k+ we were quickly rushed out the door without ever even being asked if we needed help. The first contact was made by a gentleman scolding us that the facility was closed and that we would be locked in (not kidding) if we didn't get to the building asap (which is about 100 yards away). He seemed to of wanted to lecture us regarding the fact that they had already closed. You win bro, we're leaving......Maybe you should of asked if we needed a ride or even some HELP.... Along with the other customers, we made our walk over towards the building only to realise that the doors were already locked! We stood in the hot 96 degree weather with 3 children under the age of 3 and (my pregnant wife which is 8 months along). Finally after a few minutes and us knocking, an employee knocked on the window to let us know he was going to unlock it. Oooookay? Interesting..... After opening the door, the gentleman chuckled and said " Looks like you guys got locked out...." to which none of us found any amusement as we stood there in the sun. I proceeded to tell him "this is the first time this had ever happened to me." To which I received no response at all. As we approached the front door an employee was walking out at the same time. Being just a couple steps behind her I figured she would at least hold the door open, lol but once again no luck. The door slammed in our face.. smh. We should have checked the reviews on Yelp before we made the hour drive. Should have gone to Fun Country RV across the street first! I expected this company to operate at higher standards due to Marcus Lemonis being the owner and his saying of "People, Process, Product." Boy were we wrong! Only thing they had was product. And overpriced at that. Looks like Camping World at Anthony needs "The Profit" to come work his magic on his own company. I'd love to watch that episode. We will take our business to Fun Country RV! I am appalled at the horrible service we have received from the service department from this location. We took our trailer for repairs, after the November hail storm. We took the appraisal and had requested for them to take care of other items. We also requested for them to submit any other damages to USAA and some electrical issues for the slideout to the warranty company. After 3 long months, they finally called to let us know the trailer was ready. When my husband went to pick it up and asked for the invoice, it took forever for the person helping him to find the paperwork. When he finally got it, there were so many missing details on the invoice that he walked out and left the trailer there. He went back again on Saturday, and there was no one that knew the details on the invoice and what was and wasn't submitted to the insurance. He was assured he could take it home and call them on Monday to discuss with the manager the breakdown of our charges. So, we brought it home. We wanted to check everything looked properly so brought it home before sending it to storage. The photo shows what we saw this morning as soon as we opened the window... clearly they did not do their job correctly. Will be taking this issue up the ladder and clearly will not be considering doing any business with this company. Ever. One star is too good of a rating. read more

Sorry as this might be a long negative review, but this business has me and my family in a serious bind. I was holding out writing this because I was told Kris the General Manager would call me today, which of course didn't happen. I coordinated with my service assistant Rodney Owen (who by far is the absolute best and most responsive person there) to drop off my Thor ACE and my brand new Ford Maverick Hybrid, which is flat towable to install a tow bar, roadmaster base plate and wiring harness. I got the call that everything is ready last Friday. My daughter drove me to pick up RV and Maverick, i go in joke with the service counter for a bit, paid almost$1,400.00 and went to drive away with my RV and toad. But the RV and Maverick were not connected, breakaway still in bag, brake cable still in bag, Clevis not bolted and torqued to spec sitting in bed of truck and most important the base plate arms were missing. No arms...no toad. When I questioned the team I was told they were installed when they did the base plate. I contacted roadmaster hoping it was a shipping error, but nope shipping weight was 55 pounds which is the actual weight of a shipped base plate with arms. So I'm out more $$$ to order replacement arms. Understand I delivered the baseplate new and still sealed in box. These arms are universal and can be used with any 3/4 inch roadmaster tow bar. Hmmm... So I take the Maverick home as it could not be connected to the tow bar. Drives fine that Saturday and Sunday as well. I get in the truck this past Monday morning to drive to work and it's dead. I call Rodney, my service assistant and he immediately sends a couple guys to my house and jumps the Maverick and they take it back to Camping World. The next day I get the call to make an appointment at my Ford dealer because they cannot fix what they broke. Granted I was told that Camping World will pay the dealer if it was indeed their fault. Yesterday I drove to the dealer after work and they told me they cannot even look at the truck for at least a week. I offered to show the Ford tech my Ford Pass APP to show him all the alerts that have popped since Camping World attempted the install. He told me he didn't need to see them as he pulled the truck history and can see every alert, and he said he can even see when they began working on the truck and sees the alerts start flashing after that. So now I have a broken brand new truck, a half installed tow bar and a wiring harness installed and then removed and missing. I paid $1,400 for this wonderful service. I selected Camping World because this is what they do. Or at least that is what I thought...obviously I was mistaken. So I had to borrow a neighbors car two days and my daughters the other two days this week to get back and forth from home to Ft Bliss, which is 25 miles one way. Now both vehicles are unavailable. I guess I will need to UBER for a few weeks. Wait I can't afford that, so I ask this...what are you going to do Camping World to make this right? In early March we had a wheel bearing failure on our travel trailer in Anthony, Tx. We had it towed here because it was the closest RV service center. I was advised the whole axle had to be replaced. The axle was ordered, and installed 2 1/2 weeks later. When I picked up the trailer, I noticed the trailer brakes felt real weak. They sent a tech out to check it. It turns out only one axle's brakes were stopping the trailer. Of course it was the axle that wasn't replaced. The young man got under it and realized the brake shoes weren't contacting the drum. It was just installed without checking the brake adjustment. They were adjusted and I finally left on my way to California. This is the real issue. Upon arrival in Ca. I was setting up, my x-chocks wouldn't fit between the tires. There was only 2-3 inches between the tires. I looked further and saw that the spring equalizer (the part between the axles that allows the springs to pivot as needed) was pushed all the way forward and resting on the frame. This caused the springs to remain rigid, not allowing for movement over bumps and uneven road conditions. It turns out they ordered the axle complete with leaf springs, instead of just ordering the axle and swapping one for the other, using the original leaf springs. Upon further inspection, it turns out the new springs were 3 inches longer that the ones being replaced, thus having to be forced into position to allow installation. Everyone makes mistakes. The wrong configuration was ordered. The part that really made me mad was instead of doing it correctly, they let it leave like that. I contacted the service advisor that I had been working with. I sent photos and explained what was going on. I asked him to coordinate with the camping world here to have it repaired correctly. He stated that I should get it there immediately. I informed him that I wasn't going to leave it there for another 2 or 3 weeks while they figure it out. We already spent 2 1/2 weeks in a hotel the 1st time. He said he would get back to me. He did not. I emailed him a few days later, and he stated he was going to show the photos to the shop foreman. He emailed me back and advised the foreman stated it's just pushed forward and needs to be pushed back. I knew this was b.s. If we weren't full time, I would have repaired it in my driveway. I told him they were both wrong, and it needed to be repaired correctly. Of course the correspondence ended at that point. He stopped responding. I took the photos to a local shop where we were staying. He knew immediately that the wrong size springs were installed on the rear axle. They ordered the correct springs and once delivered, had them installed in an hour and a half. I've always read negative comments about CW, but disregarded them. Now I know what everyone is talking about. Complete incompetence. I'll be pursuing CW for reimbursement of replacement cost. I doubt they'll do the right thing, so I'll probably be in small claims court. I apologize for the length of this review, but people need to be wary of these type of shops. read more

Very bad parts department. I ordered a toilet a week before I got to El Paso and, knowing how unreliable RV service centers are, I triple checked that they ordered the right part. I was told that they ordered it and, in fact, got it in. I got here to have it installed and the part wasn't here and apparently it wasn't even ordered. I understand that sometimes you can't do what the customer wants, but to say you did it and not deliver is unacceptable. I could've ordered in from Amazon, but now I'm stuck and I STILL will have to order from Amazon. I've had issues like this from other Camping World locations too. Very bad. read more

Let me just begin here. The problems with this business begin at the very front and extend all through the entire company. It took me calling almost daily for one month, encountering the most rude receptionist with every telephone call. Her go to answer is "they are helping another customer", she takes your name and telephone number, you never hear back. I finally got ahold of a person from finance, and after 4 weeks, he tells me he can't help me. I speak to the manager, who had worse customer service than the receptionist. I was rudely directed by him to service for my RV issue. I spoke with the manager in service. This was August 15, 2020. The soonest appointment was September 5, 2020. I tried calling for 3 days to confirm my appointment time to be met with the rude receptionist who told me at 5:05 pm service center was closed with hours 8-5pm. I called the following day again to get an answering machine they opened at 9:00 am. Finally got a call back from service to be told I didn't in fact have an appointment, I could just drop it off by 4:00 pm but the gentleman that had scheduled my appointment wasn't even there and he had "no idea of an appointment". I waited 3 weeks for an appointment that didn't even exist! I scheduled an appointment immediately with Holiday RV for the following day. If I could give this business a negative rating I would. Consumers beware. Once they have your money, they do nothing to assist with any issues except cause more grief and irritation. No one at that business has a clue what's going on. No one. read more

Horrible customer service and sales. Almost bought a trailer from them but after having to explain to the sales representative on how a trade in works i left. The sales associate actually tried to fool me into buying this trailer and keep buying the one i currently have. I went across the street and bought one from competent sales associates. I got a better deal with zero hassle and also meet others that left garbage world. I wasted 5 hours here today but learned to bypass the big business to go for the locally owned business. I hate having to give bad reviews but I can't get passed this. I purchased a Jayco Flight from these guys in July 2016. Took it in for some warrenty work in November. It's now the last part of February and they still have my trailer. The service dept. says Jayco keeps sending either the wrong parts or damaged in transit parts. At this point I don't care. It's going on 5 months I've used my trailer 3 times in 8 months. No way can I recommend Camping World or Jayco. Really dissatisfied. read more

Well I called several times and was transferred to service several times but no one answered. We hesitated in coming here because most Camping Worlds have poor ratings but we had a serious issue with one of our inside rear tires in our RV. We we pulled in and they were packed and the service man (Rod) was all alone and handling phones, customers and paperwork all at once. Went to buy an RV and the sales team there is very disorganize or don't care. Went to the front desk and they call 2 different sales members that never came. After 45 minutes of waiting the front desk employee went to take to sales manager, but still no one came. I ended on going to lazy days in Tucson AZ and bought a new 42 foot. Don't waste your time if you are looking to buy in El Paso or Anthony just go to Tucson price are thousands cheaper! And they can fly you out there or deliver to you. read more

This was my first time at this Camping World. The chain has a mediocre reputation for service work. I had them install an inverter and should have checked the work before I left. The tech hooked it into the chassis battery, not the coach battery as is needed. I called to tell them I'm bringing it back, since the connector cables are too short for me to simply change them to the coach battery. The service manager defended the tech, saying he's only a year out of automotive school. I told him I knew it how it needed to be connected, and I never went to auto school. I will have to take more vacation time so they can fix their mistake. On top of that, after reading the product manual I realize the inverter was installed wrongly. It was mounted vertically to a wall of the RV, and the manual says it MUST be horizontal. How come I know more about this than the supposed professionals? read more

We dropped our RV off on May 1 for a May 2 appointment. The service rep was very thorough with going over the problems we were having, writing a detailed list, and said he would call us to let us know if he had any problems with the Warranty company. Today is May 14, My wife and I have called several times, left messages with our rep and the service manager. Today I called and would not be sent to a message center but insisted on talking to a person after explaining my situation. I spoke to my service rep and was informed that they had done some of the diagnostics but had not spoken to the Warranty company wet. The RV has been on their lot for 12 days with minimal work performed. The Rep told me he was out last week. We discussed the issue more and he told me it was not unreasonable for it to take this long. I have had an RV for 8 years with a warranty package for 4 years and it has never taken more than 5 days for any repair when I had an appointment. I did say when we dropped the unit off that we were not in a rush as we didn't need the unit for 3 weeks. Be very specific with your requirements when dealing with this organization. read more

Went in to check out the sales department in this place because they had the trailer we wanted, in spite of negative reviews online. Greg was our salesman and he was great to work with! He showed us what we wanted to see with none of the typical high-pressure sales tactics. Ended up getting more for our trade-in than were offered at other places. My RV furnace failed on January 3, 2016 and I stopped by the service center to see if they could fix the unit. It's the middle of winter and we're traveling through with no heat. They said they could begin work on it in 2-3 weeks. I showed up there about 4 pm looking to get prices on trailers. Asked the girl at the front desk for a salesman and she told me to just go walk around someone would find me. So I walked around and around and around. In and out of several trailers inside and then went outside. While outside I didn't try to hide, in fact I walked up and down the biggest isles trying to be seen. Workers worked around me moving a trailer and I even said hi to several and still no salesman to talk to me about trailers. So I kept walking around and did this for about 40 to 50 minutes. I then proceeded to walk back inside and saw 2 salesman at a computer and neither one even took notice to me. The service here on the sales side was horrible. If I worked like that selling cars in the day my bosses would have killed me. This place is terrible and I can see from the 2 star rating nothing is getting better. Sad because when you walk in they display all these trophies they have received from the manufacturers. I bought a New 2016 Jayco Travel Trailer and had issues right away. I called Camping World to get this resolved but they ABSOLUTELY failed in backing their product. I'm not a complainer by nature but I thought that customer satisfaction was their top priority. The sad part was that after spending thousands of dollars here. To resolve my issue would of cost a few hundred dollars at most. I'm sorry to say that their main interest in their BOTTOM DOLLAR. This company lost my business for life. Terrible service experience and from what we heard from others waiting for someone to come to the service desk we weren't alone. It took from June 2018 to December 2018 to get repairs completed after the awning arm was damaged in an accident. The first few months the delay was blamed on the insurance company (the one advertised in Motor Home Magazine) then a few months more because the awning arm was out of stock and then because they shipped the wrong part then because the paint color didn't match. The service phones get transferred to desk phones that are not answered and only about one in 5 messages is ever returned. When my son went to get the RV so we would have it to stay in on home leave from Germany at the end of December he was told it was filthy because they did not have time to clean it but we could return to have it cleaned at a later date. He had someone climb up and take a tool off the roof. He then reported the check engine light was on. He was told it was on when the unit was dropped off (it wasn't) and Doug suggested we could "make a weekend of it"by driving it to Tucson or Albuquerque to the nearest Mercedes service to check it out. When we went to pick it up it would not start. The batteries had gone dry while the unit waited for repairs. The check engine light went off once we got it started and we took it to a private RV repair place for a check up. The most significant problem they found and fixed was cracked caulk on the roof where camping world had just completed repairs. Luckily the repair was completed just before a major storm. I can't remember a worse service experience and I almost never write negative reviews but this was so bad I want to warn others and hopefully Camping World will look at their El Paso system. read more

Came out on a Saturday, never greeted. Asked for assistance, told to walk the lot someone would come and help.... never happened even after spending almost an hour browsing the lot. Called on Tuesday morning and asked what time they open, thinking maybe Saturday is just busy maybe I can see a sales rep, spoke to a lady and she said they open at 8AM. I show up around 8:30AM walk in and look at the lady at the counter, she never looks up or says hello, walk to the far back on the show room and talk to the only employee in an office. He says they are not open until 9AM, I told him what happened and he basically was like O'well we open at 9AM and he is not a salesman. Went to the front to see if the lady at the counter could explain why someone said they open at 8AM, and she says the store portion is open but not the camper/rv side. I asked why this wasn't told to me before I drove all the way out here for a second time.....another O'well!!! Long story short, they don't want business. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! My class C motorhome has been the El Paso facility for 7 months (Oct 28 to 24 May) for two repairs: 1. body work to repair the passengers side rear compartment, and repair some delamination that affected the same side. This work was completed with mixed results. 2. a recurring electrical issue. The cabin battery is not being recharged by the generator, nor the alternator. Consequently, when the battery is depleted, we have no electrical power while travelling. This has been a problem for over 2 years, and I have had the unit at the facility multiple times over that period, and have spent (what I estimate to be) over 1K. To highlight the importance of this repair, I told the service manager that we had a trip scheduled to the mid west this Friday, and we would need the system working. He assured me that it had been repaired. I drove the unit home yesterday evening and found that it was still not charging. Today I did some research, and purchased a volt meter to verify. While the motor battery provided indication that it was charging properly, the cabin battery did not charge. The volt meter read a consistent 11.9 with the battery: 1. static 2. w/the alternator running, and 2. w/the generator running. In short, it was not charging... I still need to get this repaired. I have absolutely NO CONFIDENCE in Camping World of El Paso, and will not take the time or spend the gas money to drive it the facility because I need it repaired by Friday and don't have time to waste. Instead, my wife will have to drive it to another mechanic to get it repaired because I will be tied up at work for the day. I have been a good customer to camping world over the years, and have spent well over 5K. I have never been so disappointed by the poor service, and utter disregard for the consumer, in my life. I am 50 years old and have never, ever, contemplated retaining a lawyer but feel that I have no recourse. I am utterly disgusted and completed saddened by my experience. read more

it's the only place to park an rv in el paso area, it looks like a parkinglot, the wind blows hard down off the mountain at sunset, don't let them make you take spot number H3, it's unlevel, after we rejected it they tried to make two other rvs park there, we figured it was some sort of inside joke because there were maximum 12 vehicles in the whole place, and plenty of room to park anywhere, so why try and fill the most uneven spot in the place??? read more
