I had them fix my awning and they installed the wrong part, Knowing it did not work correctly. they refused yo fix the issue. 2. they lied about a leak issue so the warranty would not cover the repair due to them not fixing it correctly in the first place place to cover themselves. I didn't purchase my RV here due to all the negative reviews. I drove all the way to Dallas. I did however had to get my RV serviced here at Camping World since I live here in El Paso. It has been a nightmare since day one! In the last year I've been at this location at least 20 times! 80% of the times they called and said my rv was ready for pick up, it wasn't ready. As soon as I would get there to pick up, I would test my rv in the parking lot. Guess what? Same problem! Did they even test it before calling me? The technicians there are under trained! The staff in the service center are Horrible! The only one decent is Craig. The other older gentleman and younger man there are always upset, rude, inpatient and have a I'm doing you a favor attitude. My review is solely for Craig , Johnny, and Isaac in the service department. Let me just start off, they are sooooo helpful. My stabilizers were messed up and one broke the emergency brake switch on the way to LA. Well I stoped in the San Diego camping world and they told me I was ok to drive the RV but just extremely carefully. Well my friends and I took the RV to Disneyland Rv resort and drove it back all the way to the Anthony camping world EXTREMELY slow and careful. I asked the front desk in the main area and they weren't very helpful at all. So I decided to try the service department and let me tell you Craig was 10000% extremely helpful with the mess I was in. I explained the situation to him and he told me to go ahead and leave my RV for a day and it would get fixed. Not only was it fixed so quickly ... Johnny and Isaac were so helpful in giving me a refresher with some questions I had on working some of the systems. Anyways, the sales department isn't really great but I do recommend the service department because Craig will give you the best customer service ever. read more

Worst Camping World I've ever been to. I've tried this location many times but I won't return. Sales staff couldn't care less about the condition of their RVs or if they sell them. Airstream (INSIDE the showroom!) has multiple broken cabinets and collapsed entry steps. It's a used unit but these things could be fixed very quickly. They don't care. Multiple units outside are broken, laying in pieces, or so filled with dirt/dust that I doubt they could ever be cleaned out completely. Having given up on looking at RVs, I went to the parts area to buy a sewer hose support. Waited 10 minutes until I realized that the cashier was not coming back. Never again... read more

Horrible 6 weeks to get parts and charged me 500 for items not covered on warranty never such service sooo bad

We blew a tire that punched a hole through our wheel well and blew apart a wall and the dinette seat. When we called they said they were 3 months behind on insurance work. We understood that and turned it in back in October of 2024. We got a call it was final done at the end of May 2025. They said it was repaired but still needed to be cleaned and quoted us three weeks to clean it. I declined and said we would clean it at home. We know it wasn't going to take some time but 9 months seems a little extreme. It seemed like there was some minor things wrong with it when I got it back, the dinette table mounts broke, and pushed through the floor, the roof canvas started to peel back, which was not the case when I turned it in and the door hinge was disconnected but at least all the major issues were fixed. read more

Wanted to trade a fifth wheel for a travel trailer.... The salesman took to a junk dirty trailer... never in my life.... I guess they think their customer's are garbage like this garbage of a travel trailer he showed me.... Never will return to this dump again! Bought a fifth wheel from them several years ago...the chairs were low grade garbage.... I went to FL for a month and only my husband stayed in our fifth wheel.... I should have known all the red flags were there when I called to make an appointment. The service desk demonstrated extreme unprofessionalism during the appt phone call to include laughing when I answered a mechanical question incorrectly (i'm a woman) and hanging up before I finished asking questions. Anyways, we needed maintenance before our roadtrip so I booked for 12:00 that day. When we arrived the guy at the front desk checked us in and said they're about to go to lunch and start whenever they get back. We asked how long it would take total and they said 5 HOURS. So they're already not starting on time but they also didn't have the materials ready. What was the point of the phone consultation and booking a certain time? Unbelievable. read more

This is an update to my review of Camping World. Craig ("C") in the service department overrode any bad encounter with grumpy employees I may have had. He was on the spot when I cam to pick up my part and was instrumental in the service department not charging me. Having been in management myself, I always wonder what I did or did not do to help employees be happy. Perhaps that is too big a burden, to be responsible for someone else's happiness. I think Craig has mastered a valuable skill: being happy in any situation. That to me speaks that he serves a higher authority than just a boss at Camping World. Thanks, Craig! read more

Went in to buy some step covers for R.V. as we are traveling. At check out, girl asked if I wanted to renew membership. I thought I had time left but couldn't find a quick way to check. I asked her when it expires and she said at end of month, so I renewed for a year. We left and finally got signed in to Good Sam and found out it did t expire for another four months! If you can't trust the cashier, why would you trust the business. Obviously even the cashier has to make a quota. read more

Was sold a 2025 Salem Forest River 29 view travel trailer for 48k when it's really going for 10k less than that. My fault I guess for trusting that these people have any integrity. Funny thing is when it was time to sign they quickly told me what I was signing for and gave me the pen, they added almost 20k worth of fees. Would have signed for over 63k. When I asked what the fees were for they couldn't give me a straight answer, they did mention that one 2k fee was charged because i said yes to a 5 minute walk through of the RV where I was shown the features it has! WHAT!!! I tried to opt out of the sale and they quickly brought it back down to 48k, three months later and the RV is looking cheap and faulty everywhere I look. Don't trust Camping World, they'll make you sign for tens of thousands of dollars with no regard for your money or how hard you work for it. I wonder what kind of generic apology i'll get for writing this review. I'll pay the debt, lose thousands in interest, learn my lesson and trade in with someone that has some integrity. Kenneth Lane and the sales guy in the far back office, with the big fancy "A" for a signature, Camping World has been sued for this exact thing before, hope you know that. Traveled there from Las Cruces to buy a camper. We have bought two other campers and never dealt with a dealership like this one. We waited forever for a salesman but no one ever showed up. Many were setting around taking but no one came when they were paged. We spent over two hours on the property and found campers we liked, but couldn't get anyone to even answer questions or tell us how much they were. Most campers on lot were very dirty and some in I'll repair. No prices on anything. We finally gave up and left. We will drive to DFW or Tucson to purchase a camper. read more

Two ladies at the front desk didn't even pause their conversation when I came in. Then, the cashier is closed, service desk guy is on the phone about something his wife bought and there is nobody at the parts counter to check me out. So.... I left the items and walked out. Stop lying to the people, after buying your RV you would think that they would treat you good since you bought it there, but the opposite happens they treat you like you want to steal something from them. This place has great potential, but most of the employees have no interest in the business fundamental of customer service. My wife and I have been disappointed, frustrated, and at times angered by the lack of care this business exhibits. They champion the curious reality they are the largest selling RV retailer in Texas, but I really do not understand how that is possible. Here are some tips if you are considering a purchase from this outlet. 1. Do NOT expect to feel welcomed by the front desk receptionists when you walk in the front door. The ladies that work the desk and phones are cold, uncaring, caddy, and are bothered that you disrupted their on-the-clock "leisure" time. They will not assist you in any way and will quickly redirect you to someone else instead of answering simple questions. They are more interested in sipping vending machine soda from a straw than helping you. 2. Do NOT expect a salesman that has any knowledge of the RV you are considering or know of a floorplan that meets your needs. Most of my questions were unanswered, secretly researched on the spot, or blatantly guessed without any accuracy. You're better off dealing with the DMV. 3. Do NOT purchase the Extended Stay Package that is listed at $1995. It consists of $500 worth of overpriced equipment you can purchase for about $300 at WalMart. They will try and sell you on an "expert orientation" to your new trailer or RV. Don't be fooled. Their "expert" is a mechanic who lost a rock-paper-scissor competition behind the giant cooling fan on the maintenance floor. The mechanic can answer some technical questions but will most likely not know any important details. 4. Do NOT expect a service department that will be engaged with you, be available at times when you aren't working, and definitely not available after 5pm. The shop rates are about 30% higher than any other RV shop, and the turnaround is about the same as maple tree sap oozing from a maple tree in the dead of winter in Northern Canada. 5. Do NOT expect a finance department to be proactive with your financing. If you have any slight complications with your credit worthiness, no matter how small and insignificant, the work stops faster than a Tom Brady retirement. 6. No matter how much you spend do NOT expect quality in your new purchase. Our $100k 5th wheel barely made it home on its maiden voyage. I could list the number of items that needed repaired after 1 week of use, but I don't believe there is enough space in this review thread. My advice, bring a well stocked tool box and several bottles of quality glue on your journey. You'll be fixing things that simply fall apart for no other reason than a desperate attempt to find solace in the after life. And, don't extend any slides if you don't need to. They will break. 7. This is for the ladies. Do NOT purchase their "RV Safe" toilet paper. You'll be secretly picking out TP clumps from your lady parts for weeks. Use regular TP judiciously and get a quality RV septic drop in for the black water tanks. You're welcome. If you are comfortable with this list of advices, head on over to Camping World in Anthony, TX and prepare to spend 20 hours on a purchase that should normally take no more than 4 hours. I say this place smells of a "deceptive trade act"! Anyone else who left a 1 star review agree? We have only had our rv since January 2022. It has taken 7 months to receive, repairs- nope- we have received nothing! They have been telling me for week now- that the brand new rv we purchased for 83k- (air conditioner that came to us damaged)- is our fault! They delivered it like this- We don't have the means to move/pull this 42 foot, 13,000lbs rv.. We were told it's made to be stationary. Which it's been for 7 months. The service guy who came out to look at our air conditioner- complained to my face about how crappy the design of my rv was, over and over reminded me how crappy the design is...oh but no one said that when we gave them 83k....tried getting corporate involved, got one call back, I returned the call quickly but I haven't had our contact person call me back, it's been 4 days of calling and waiting... Their attitudes of "Thanks for your money- have a nice day" needs to come to end! Your extremely unprofessional customer service- needs to recognized more publicly... I took my travel trailer to have the slide repair for leaking instead of the repair they actually glue the slide to the trailer with caulking, the job is so bad that if looks a child did it!! The slide seal looks like I have been on the road for 10 years!! I am talking a trailer that only has 8 months brand new 2024, I have seen all the reviews regarding Camping World is awful!!! I think everyone that had a bad job should drive to their headquarters and fill in their parking lot with bad jobs, bad loans and bad customer service experience and have their "CEO" pay more attention to their customers who he makes money with and probably fired some people that are not capable to perform in their job, also he should change the name to Camping Nightmare, they incompetent. When I pick it up I found on the bathroom and kitchen sink coffee stains and they have used the bathroom to defecate and urinate, that is so un respectful to their customers especially with Covid still around, of course the customer always lies, but I make sure to take pictures right before I take possession of the trailer in their parking lot. At this point I call their repairs vandalism and damage of private property, do not take it to Camping World you will regretted!!! Please look at the pictures this repair was done 6/29/2024. I picked up RV to find out at home that they never did any of the job requested. You further more damaged other veneer you were not supposed to do. The follow up on quality by management is at it's worst. No wonder you are rated so low. I definitely will be looking for another place to service my RV. The best thing about Camping World is that they have a wide selection in one place. Some of the items they carry are fair quality others are trash or over priced. I am speaking of the retail offerings only. I have never used their RV repair service because they have a bad reputation. To be fair, many RV repair facilities have bad reputations. I have always taken my trailer there for service yearly. Butt this last time I will be the last. I brought my unit is for its yearly roof service, water heater service, the wheel bearing done, a rear door that needed the closing latch fixed and to fix the outdoor shower that was leaking when connected to city water. I also wanted it cleaned but right now that are short staffed. Well when I got the unit back I found that instead of fixing the shower they only capped it off. Picture below, half of the back door issue was fixed and right after picking up the unit I took it to have new tires installed because they were not able to do that either. When they took the tires off I could see that it looked like the wheel bearings were not even done since there was no evidence the drums were even removed. We paid over 1200.00 for this service. read more

When I considered purchasing and the application process I was notified the next day that Camping World ran my credit 5 attempts because I didn't have very much credit and was giving $15,000 cash as down payment. They were determined to make a sale and failed to notify that they'd continuously run my credit without authorization and it definitely affected my credit score. Buyers be aware when they run your credit it is multiple times and will be a hard inquiry on your credit score. read more

Once Al, the finance guy learned I was not interested in financing, he threatened to sell my RV ( with a deposit left on it) for a higher price saying they made a "mistake" pricing it. Then I was promised full propane tanks ( lies,) assured everything is fully functioning ( more lies) I have no heat & a faulty black tank valve/ washout system. Two MAJOR systems that either do not work at all or not correctly. Both these items were checked off as functional in my walk thru. LIES. LIES. AND MORE LIES. We purchased this RV a little over 3 weeks ago and have had problems as soon as the ink dried on the contract. We were told by friends that "service is great...until you sign the contract.." but we decided to take a chance . We purchased a fifth wheel. My boyfriend is in the military and we needed the room while he is here. We spent abt 100k on that model. From the day we went to pick it up the first time we had issues. We pointed out several problems with it immediately (dents in the refrigerator door, not able to close the closet door fully, the floor was warped,etc). We were assured it would be fixed by the next day. We were also "promised" to have help moving our things from the one we were turning in intO the new one. Pick up day...didn't happen..no help. Dents were still in the door and we didn't have a through "walk through" demonstration to understand how things worked. Unfortunately that was not the worst of it. About 2 weeks later the pipe under the sink had a continuous leak which caused ANOTHER warp on the floor and left a water mark on thE bottom of our kitchen island. We have other defects but that would take a few more paragraphs. The straw that broke the camels back however was their finance dept screwed up and sent the payoff check to the wrong banK! Now we cannot get a response let alone a resolution. Trust me...we called all the way up the chain to the general manager Think twice about going here for this size investment..think three times before singing that coNtract and WAIT TO GIVE THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF SALES & OVERALL EXPERIENCE UNTIL AT LEAST TWO WEEKS AFTER YOU DRIVE OFF THE LOT! He said he didn't have the time to pull a list of what needed to be fixed on the RV we were ready to buy, but wanted to see the estimated repairs list prior to buying. We purchased a 2004 Mercedes Sprinter Interstate 22 in March 2022. We picked it up in May 2022. The day before we picked the camper up they discovered a cracked roof vent. They didn't have the part and put a scoop over the vent to protect from rain. We were told they would send it to us in Pennsylvania when it came in and we are to take it to Pittsburg Camping World at their expense for installation. We have been getting the run around from Camping World Anthony. It's July 6th an no indication that we will receive the part. As too their 200 point inspection... the window latches didn't work and we drove across country with the windows removed. Not only did the roof fan have a crack in it, the fan did not work. We stopped in after an overnight stay in the campground behind the camping world. The store is decently stocked with essentials but there were many items missing price tags. There was only one cashier open in the parts department which was on the other side of the retail store. There was no staff on the retail floor side. What staff we seen were all glued behind their screens or huddled in offices . The gentleman behind the gun counter was the only person who helped and engaged us. The cashier was also friendly. This store does have guns and ammo but limited supply. This review is based off the retail store experience. We will try them again when traveling for essential hard to find items. read more

Service recovery excellence is the absolute best skill any of your staff can have. I want to commend the actions of a gentleman by the name of Sergio and I hope you will let him know his actions today are more important than someone with a smooth up-sale pitch. If you will indulge me I would like to share the story with the world. I will first say that today was the first time I have ever done business with camping world and I have been a FT RVer for 12 years. The general word on the street is CW is overpriced and the service is terrible. This needs to be brushed up on a national level and the management should expect a phone call tomorrow. I had an AC failure and needed a replacement ASAP. I usually order from Houston or Amazon but I needed it soon and you had them in stock. (Well done for that). I called to check pricing and availability. The parts guy was nice enough and I was satisfied with the pricing and was about to go pick it up. I asked if they closed at 5:00 and I was told they are open until 7:00. I called back to make sure what was in stock was for a ducted system. The parts guy was "with another customer" but I was assured he would call me back. I left my number and the nature of the call with the receptionist or whomever answers the phone. (On a side note she has been told to say so much it is ran together and you can't understand a single word of it). How about "Thank you for calling Camping World, How May I help you?" Back to the open until 7:00. I drove out to the store at 6:00 or so and I asked for "parts guy" by name. I was told he was gone but Sergio would handle parts. I went to the parts counter to find a parts counter closed sign. I asked Sergio why they would say they are open until 7:00 to a customer who was coming to pick it up if they closed in 6 minutes. Here is a tip for any of your parts people. If someone asks if you close at 5:00 then tell them the store is open until 7:00 but parts closes at 5:00. I was incredibly pissed off about this and it needs to be brought up in a team meeting. I was hesitant to add this part of the story but I feel like it paints the backdrop. Sergio let me know parts closed at 5:00 but would reopen in the morning. I planned on installing this unit within the hours as our rig was an inferno. I asked if the units were out in the store and I would grab one and go. He said "No, they are in the back".... but (wait for it because this is EVERY manager, store owner, CEO wants from their employees) "I will help you get it". He was empowered and motivated and I don't know if he worked in parts or not but he figured it out and made it happen. He helped me even though he could have just let me leave frustrated and I am not sure if I would have ever returned. He helped me even though I was outwardly frustrated and not shy about showing it. I was short with him and he HELPED ME even though I probably didn't deserve it. He gave me a good price on the unit. He opened it to make sure it was the matching color. He offered warranty service which is always smiled upon by the CFO. What I am trying to tell you is you have a gem on your team and I hope you will acknowledge him and make him feel appreciated. Having your name on the wall, as achieving greatness, goes a long ways and when you feel genuinely appreciated you stick around. If not a name on the wall ... a steak and a beer are always a nice gesture. Medium rare... let's not be silly about it. I apologize for the length of this review but I hope you find it helpful. My husband and I had to travel from Out of State to TX for a Family Emergency and on our way there, during our stay and on our way home our RV A/C was malfunctioning. We showed up without and appointment, but With a warranty and met Rod Owen. He went above and Beyond our expectations. They were booked up clear out until July. But knowing that we were going into a triple digit climate with a small 14 year old chihuahua, he managed to get us in the very next morning upon opening, diagnosing the issue, and replaced our unit with one, by the Grace of God, that he had in stock. He had us out of there and back on the road by 3:00! We are so impressed and thankful for the excellent customer service that was provided to us today. Camping World NEVER lets us down. Just came from there trying to find some exterior led lights.... horrible!! First, you walk in and there is some angry girl playing on her phone and the computer. Just stares and you and doesn't say hello, boo or f-off, but her eyes say it for her. Plenty of employees milling around, but no one makes eyes contact. I walk through their 5 aisles of merchandise, very small selections, and only found one led light set, multicolored for $100. Nope. I Ask a guy about it, after begrudgingly stopping to halfway listen, he said I'd be better to go online. No s#%! Sherlock.
