I was diagnosed with Cancer mid-contract. They put my account on a freeze, then started charging me again with no warning. I was told by my coach that my contract was up so I called to cancel. NOPE, they are taking more of my money. They would not let me cancel, I have to wait 28 days to call and wait on hold for another 20 min to cancel. They are awful!!!! I'm only 49 and was running marathons before my diagnosis. You never know what will happen.... don't sign a long term contract with them. They will take money over your health!! read more

Camp Gladiator is the absolute worst. I have been trying to cancel my membership with this company since February. I just move states and they said they need proof of my new address and I do not have those things available to me. They keep crediting my account and I do not have the money to pay for it. I will never ever ever sign up for this program ever again. read more

I've been doing Camp Gladiator for three months and love it! I am not a fitness person but needed to lose some lbs. I'm also not young and have my share of aches and pains and getting old! CG has helped me lose weight, change my diet and feel better. The classes are dynamic, challenging and strenuous. The environment is encouraging and fun. I can't stress how life changing this has been. Try it. Give it a 3-4 days a week for a month. You won't be disappointed. read more

If I could give zero states, I would..... Their customer service has been the worse experience ever. I signed up for a 6 month membership. I went for 6 months... After my membership was over, to be exact, 4 months after my membership was over, I was charged for 3 months of membership. I was never charges until THREE months after my membership should have been over. Three months prior I had to speak with Customer Service. Never once did they mention my membership wasn't cancelled. I called and spoke with a supervisor/manager and was advised I "didn't cancel" my membership. Why didn't the rep mention that during our call? Why would you wait almost 4 months to hit my account with a $237 charge for services I didn't have an opportunity to use - since the last time I went to camp your system wouldn't let me check in...... I referred and signed multiple campers. Thanks for taking my money, as I helped make money for you! read more

What in the world is going on with CG??? I called customer service yesterday, sat on hold for 30 minutes, and the guy who finally answered said he couldn't help me. Told me a supervisor would contact me today. No one contacted me. So I called again today, sat on hold for 1.5 hours total and was hung up on twice. The webchat option on the website does not work. Why is CG hiding from me??? read more

As far as group fitness goes, I think Camp Gladiator is the best out there. There are tons of locations and times to choose from, and the trainers keep on a consistent schedule so they can observe you and your progress over the weeks and/or months. The trainers at CG push you to work hard, but they also encourage you to pace yourself so you don't feel pressured to keep up with the folks who are ahead of you fitness wise. My trainer, Liz Laubenberg is extremely knowledgeable about physiology and is always ready to answer questions about muscle stretches and correct form. She has an amazing attitude and always has a smile on her face. She is also incredible at remembering names. She can name every person in our camp, including the new comers... sometimes this is 30+ people in a single workout! It's extremely motivating to hear a shout out with your name thrown in. My husband and I are lucky enough to live very close to two locations with times that sync with our work schedule, so we have the option to attend up to five days a week. We love the camp so much, that we purchased the Bold membership so we can attend for a year and workout on off weeks (every 5th week). I have only been attending for 3 months and am noticing lots of results with my endurance and strength. I look forward to seeing this process through over the course of a year, and beyond! read more

Camp Gladiator is a complete waste of money. Their contracts are not clear and now I am stuck paying for 6 months. I also can't cancel now. They want me to call back. Complete rip off. I will never use this place again. read more

I had a relatively positive experience with CG up until a few weeks ago. I was signed up for the bold 6 month plan. I had attended a camp near me for 5 months, and then the day before the 6th month was to begin, my camp location was shut down abruptly. Since this was the only location anywhere near me that fit into my schedule, I was left with no options to attend as an alternative. I called to inquire about a refund for my last month, and customer service is denying me a refund. Here's the exciting part... THEY GAVE TWO FRIENDS OF MINE IN MY EXACT SAME SITUATION (SAME CAMP LOCATION, TIMING, AND EVERYTHING) A FULL REFUND FOR THEIR FINAL MONTH OF CAMP. So to recap, CG took away the only camp I was ever able to attend (check-in records to confirm), refunded my friends in the exact same situation, denied me a refund, and had horrible customer service all along the way. read more

I love Camp Gladiator so much and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have fun while still getting a great workout. I live in Arlington so I attend Desiree Hodnett's camp. She is seriously amazing. She always has a different workout and it is NEVER boring. She is so devoted to us and is always opened to recommendations for certain body parts you may want to work. I have also attempted camps in Fort Worth, Richardson, San Antonio, Grand Prairie, Kennedale, Mansfield, and Irving. I have been impressed by them all. It is nice that Camp Gladiator is offered in so many locations so that you can go wherever you may be! read more

First let me say I love my trainer. The workouts are the best and my trainer works hard to make it fun and engaging. Thank you! So why the low rating? The company has not demonstrated any sign of what I consider to be doing business with integrity. I signed up for the nutrition plan hoping to try something new to keep things interesting. I signed up a week ago and I have not received one meal plan. I have contacted the company repeatedly and was told they will not refund my purchase. I asked for their escalation process because they have clearly not deliver as promised. I was told they do not have one and the deciding supervisor versus a non biased third party would simply call me in 48 hours. They then shared the name of my nutrition coach and told me to reach out to him since the problem must be on his end. Really? I don't know this person and you want me to pay to manage your people and process myself? I have already invested so much of my time trying to resolve this. You can do much better CG. read more

Pros - something different, something that pushes you [peer pressure], something fun, something challenging. cons - winter months suck! between being outdoor, wind chill, and just miserably cold - I wish I had signed up during spring. I mean, I have skipped two months now, and I hate the idea of me committing to 6 months, and have wasted money not going because I don't want to be miserable. [and it all happened after getting a pretty bad headache from my last camp because of the wind chill]. read more

The business side of Camp Gladiator made me a very unhappy customer and I won't be recommending this program to anyone in the future. CG requires new "campers" to select some type of contract with no option to every cancel if you are unhappy with the service, financial situations change, etc. They do not care about any of that and simply won't work with you if you desperately need to cancel. This aspect of their business model is poor and I can't wait to be done with CG. Potential campers, please be aware of their inability to accommodate customers. From a health and wellness perspective, I did like enjoy the group workouts. It's too bad the business side of CG sucks. read more

I was going to another boot camp and it was good, but after coming to Camp Gladiator, wow! Each day I go, I know it's all about me and my body and what I can do that day. The trainers challenge me, but I kick my own butt. If I'm injured, they give me modifications. I know everyone in my 5:30 am class and if I don't, I have to meet 2 new people. Some of my fellow contenders are great friends. Each workout is different...I have been going now for almost a year, and I've never thought "jeez, we did this before!" Anyone can do this...seriously. You can do this...come join us! Feel great! p.s.- I'm 49 years old and I've never been in better shape! read more

When they say this boot camp is for everyone they mean it. Wonderful trainers know how to accommodate everyone for any reason. I love that I can go to any camp anywhere there is one offered so I can continue training while out of town. I signed up for CG bold and that is really the best deal - sure you have to commit, but you will see results so quick you will want to continue. Workouts are never canceled so you can always count on getting in a good workout. I love this program and will continue going! read more

It took over a year for a friend and my wife to convince me to join, but it's been nearly two years since I joined and I can't believe I waited so long. The trainers are incredible, the camaraderie of group fitness really makes a difference, and the "take it outside" mentality really makes for a fun and exciting way to get and stay in shape. With locations all over DFW (and the nation), it is easy to find a camp to attend by my office, by my house, and even when traveling. I have lost over 30 lbs since I started, but I'm more pleased with what I have gained. New friends, a new lifestyle, and a healthier body are all worth the effort. read more

Best fitness program out there! Find ANY cg location and be apart of the movement! You WILL love it! read more

Camp Gladiator is fun, addictive, challenging, and hard work! I thought I was in decent shape before I started CG...then I realized I wasn't! This is a great group atmosphere. You see the same familiar faces. People notice if you aren't there! The trainers are creative with the workouts and supportive. They know when to encourage you to do a few more reps or when check on you to make sure you're surviving. Any fitness level can do this! You do what you can and each time you get a little better, a little stronger, a little more endurance. The hour flies by and you leave there feeling like you've done good work. Tons of locations in DFW, convenient times if you are a morning person or an evening person. The pricing can't be beat...especially if you are a consecutive camper. Try it! You won't be sorry. CG! I LOVE CAMP GLADIATOR!! I don't think I have been as motivated to work out EVER or seen the RESULTS I'm getting from anything else!! At first, I was a little hesitant to commit to the cost of camp for such a long time, being that it was double what I was paying for my gym membership. After about two months I decided to take the plunge, cancel my gym membership and have not looked back! Victory Park is the best location -hands down! Please be advised their website sometimes does not work if you are not using Google Chrome...when trying to register for camp it sometimes won't allow you to register if you are using Internet Explorer. read more

I started this with a friend from work with a free certificate and liked it but i wasn't ready to get out of my lazy ways until i realized a year later i had gained 20-30 pounds and i was so unhappy with my body and myself for letting my bad eating habits take over my life. I got serious about my weight and health issues and started eating right and working out at the gym. I lost weight but after a while the gym was not challenging me enough. I got another free certificate in April and LOVED IT! I signed up for the 12 month Bold and I couldn't be happier. I have gotten toned in places i didn't know could be toned. i have been doing this for 3 months now and i still find it challenging and i still get sore but going everyday makes the soreness go away a lot faster. Every workout is different. you never do the same workout twice. the coaches are always super friendly and know you by name and they remember it. they don't just see you as a client they treat you like a friend. It is a group workout outside so you are never alone and you are always encouraged to be your best. if there is inclement weather they all have a alternate location that is covered to still workout. I highly recommend Camp Gladiator. You can go to any location across the country and you'll always be treated like part of the group. I strongly believe that my health issues have gone away because i started working out regularly. so that is another reason i continue to go. I say try it once at least. What you do you have to lose except for weight? :) read more

After about a year of trying CG every now and then during the free "bring a friend" weeks, I have finally signed up as an official member. I will be completing my first camp at the end of this month and couldn't be more proud of myself. I feel better, look better and have met some new friends! Camp Gladiator is tough, but the trainers are nice and you see results quick. Remember to go at your own pace and don't be concerned with the speed of others. CG had the worst customer service possible. I needed to cancel my Bold membership as I needed to move to India to help my family fight Covid..they refused to cancel it. I provided docs like passport, my India home ownership docs still they said that they won't cancel it as they need docs dating today. How can I provide docs dated today when I hadn't moved yet. They had no empathy on my situation...I was emotionally drained because of my family was fighting covid in India...and instead of supporting me..they just wanted me to keep paying for the service that I wasn't even using. They say it's for accountability...but no one called or checked with me to find out why I had 0 check ins...I guess their accountability existed only on the money front..not on the fitness front. I lost my job, make 1/4 of what I was as a teachers aid until the economy picks up and Covid is over. $50 is a lot of money on top of I have to leave my house at 6:30 and get home past 5. I have 2 sons, I'm back in school and a husband who owns his own business. I don't have the time or money but they won't let me cancel! I honestly think the lack of empathy goes against what they stand for. Nothing against the amazing trainers but I am livid at corporate and they better let me cancel or they will have a rude legal awakening. read more

I have read all the negative comments about CG and am puzzled. I work 7-6, Mon-Friday and 6:30 - 3:00 on Sat/Sun. There are camps all over, and at various times which makes me ponder how and why a person cannot get to the camp or find the time to exercise. I am 69 years old, and wanted to lose 40 pounds. I discovered CG while driving home one night, saw the trainer's truck, and stopped to talk with him - Bobby Craig. He took the time to listen to what I wanted, advised me to go to their website and look at the classes and times, and advised that they offer classes 1 mile from my house. I then saw him a few days later at the park, down the street from my house, talked with him more, he explained the pricing and that this includes going to any of the camps I wanted, at any location and any time. I signed up with him that day. I picked the camp that is held M/W/F at 4:45 am. Yes, a gruesome hour, but it is worth it. I joined 6 weeks ago and am down 1 pants' size. I'm going to comment on the participants in the class. They are all ages, all sizes, all walks of life and you could not ask for nicer people. There are some who need to lose more than me, some the same as me, and those who are in superior shape and just like working out. I have not found one class that the routines are the same. Each person in this class is so supportive, champions that you are there, encourages you through the workouts and just the nicest group of people - women and men. Our trainer - D'Anthony. What can one say about this young man. I read where someone thought name tags were sophomoric -well, I put one on the first time I went, and D'Anthony knew my name from that day forward and I never wore one again. There are around 25-50 people in the 4:45 am group and he knows each one by name. He will introduce the new people to everyone, he makes sure that if you came with a group, you will have to get with others so everyone knows and meets everyone. He texts if the classes are being moved inside due to weather, and he has the most inventive workouts. He is constantly moving during the workout and he is helping those who cannot do the routines (I have a hip/knee replacement) and he shows you alternative ways to do the workout. He is encouraging, motivating and just downright fun. The workouts are, as others have said, 1 hour of constantly moving. He works on every part of the body and it varies every day I show up. I am not a workout fanatic and in fact, I was hesitant of signing due to the fact 2 other officers and myself just paid $160 each to a woman to personally train us and then found out, after she took the money and spent it, that it would be done in her living room with the kids watching TV and eating dinner. I have looked so long and hard for a workout that fit my schedule, and was hard enough that it challenged me, makes me commit, and gets me in shape. CG does all of these. It is very hard to get up at 4:00 am to get ready for this class - I won't lie. But it is worth every moment being around this infectious group of people who are committed to have a healthy lifestyle. If you are looking for a place where there is encouragement, where there are great people to surround yourself during this journey, where the trainers are fun, helpful, caring and tuned in to what you want and need - CG is that and more. I cancelled my gym membership, and will keep going until I retire in 2 years. I can only hope by then, CG has moved in to Oklahoma so I can continue. I thank Bobby Craig every day that he talked with me about this adventure, that he encouraged me to take a chance and did not pressure me to sign up for anything, and that he was as committed and engaged in this program and welcomed me to the group. I thank D'Anthony for making the M/W/F hour so fun and for all his encouragement. I think I will reach my goal a lot faster than I imagined...and that my 70th birthday will be better than ever. read more

This company is changing the way people workout. They way they eat and the way they live. Camp Gladiator is not just a boot camp. Yes, you meet outside and get a great workout, but it is a place to meet and network with other fitness minded individuals, they plan monthly happy hour events at local hot spots, giving each participant the opportunity to create relationships outside of "workout mode". A few times a year, Camp Gladiator does a "Fitness Challenge" with guided nutrition plans, super supportive trainers and fiercely loyal campers who provide excellent accountability. They also do Adventure trips a few times a year, hiking, skiing, rafting, climbing... you name it. If you're in DFW, there's definitely one near you. If you're anywhere else, check the website because there are camps popping up all over the country now. Once you join, you may attend any all CG locations and times, as often as you can for 4 weeks, at a really great price. Go ahead, I dare you to shop around. You may find some "Groupon Boot Camp" that came up over night with a hired hourly trainer, then you'll come back and realize that a community of fitness and health conscious people like those at Camp Gladiator are who will help you reach not just your fitness goals, but fill that little part of you who has always wanted to Live Adventurously. read more

I signed up for Camp Gladiator for 12 months after a 1 month free promotion in July, 2018. Life changed, health changed, and we were unable to continue with the routine. Being a person of my word, I knew I signed a contract. I kept up my contractual end of the deal. I knew I could get out of it due to medical reasons, but I chose not to. The entire year I kept in contact with the trainer and kept advising him we weren't coming back. I planned to wait out my year and be done with it. HOWEVER nobody tells you they auto renew!!! And yes I'm sure it's in fine print somewhere, but that doesn't matter. Without being very clear in that matter you are doing nothing but trying to deceive your customers into an extra month of pay. (Hello...where do they get the promos to offer 1 month free?) And then if you ever try to call them you will only receive messages that say we aren't available and then auto disconnects, or you will just stay on hold! Every time I gave them at least 20 mins. No answer! There are so many great programs out there for health and fitness, dont chose one that deceives their customer into auto renewals! read more

I signed up for the boot camp for 4 weeks and due to some birthday promotion only paid $10 which was great. As the 4 weeks started coming to an end they were pushing for people to sign up for a membership. I told our trainer I had no intention of going into a membership after the 4 weeks plus I had just had surgery. He said he understood then next thing I know im getting emails about signing an acknowledgement. They then started charging my debit card for $71. I have called several times to straighten this out and have not attended a single class after the 4 week boot camp. I keep getting lied to by reps read more

I hate to be negative because I also LOVE the workouts and the trainers. It is a fun community, but when you get to the point where your lifestyle changes and you want to cancel, they make it REALLY hard. There is a lot of pressure involved in the sales aspect and it reminds me of multi level marketing. I just spent my entire drive home from work and then 30 more minutes on hold with them just to cancel my account (total of 1 hour and 4 minutes). It is quite frustrating!! And by the way, this is after I already met my 12 month contract. Corporate customer service is not the best, but the workouts are great. Just know what you are getting into. read more

Can't rate what I didn't use. Signed up in Mooresville, NC and was assured there would be many options. After paying up front for both my husband and I, we downloaded the app to find that none of the times were possible (not that they were inconvenient), they were not doable at all. I understand that there is a policy, but a good company would make exceptions. The response was that we could get our money back after attending 12 sessions AND not being satisfied. This was after we stated that we could not attend any. I was given a t-shirt when I signed up and my husband was promised one in the mail since they didn't have his very normal size on hand. This never came. Not that we are going to advertise for them now, but $198 for a t-shirt is a bit much. I was told that our counselor would contact us individually within a couple of days. That never happened. Then after the introductory 4 weeks was up, we were sent a survey asking how it was. So much for individual attention! They didn't even know that we never showed up, or didn't care? When I tried to respond that I was unsatisfied, I received an error that it was too late...funny! I really would have liked to have been able to go and have something to rate. I'm sure it would have met or exceeded my expectations. We may have even paid full price to continue going. It sucks to get nothing for something! read more

I called customer service, but they couldn't help me much more. I had already put my account on freeze with my trainer. How about lowering your prices instead of bothering me with asking for donations. I have my own causes I donate to. read more

Wish I could only leave one star but I can't. I will not understand how you can't get out without having a medical reason or move out of the area, in my opinion if you do have a medical reason they don't even need to know. Can no longer recommend them. My wife and I belonged for several years. To be fair, I liked their instructors and workouts. However, two things are really a concern. Number 1 is the amount of sales pitch received after each workout. Really a turn off. But the worst is when you try to cancel your membership. Email cancellations are never responded to. You just see that after the fact that they continue to charge your credit card. When you call them to receive an adjustment they act like they're doing you an exceptional service by giving you a partial refund. According to their customer service rep, "they can't possibly refund all charges incurred since cancellation." They've ruined what could be a really fun activity with poor, underhanded business practices. Proceed with caution. You've been warned. read more

I tried canceling but couldn't, I told them I was currently pregnant and couldn't work out, because it's high risk and still thy couldn't cancel. So do thy expect me to "work" out. I am giving a rating of 3 based on my experience and the cancellation process. Camp Gladiator is really a good workout program. I've become a stronger person over the past 11 months. I've mentally connected with a few of the trainers and their styles. For those looking to sign up, know that you must commit and see your contract (the billing term) to the end. Life events such as unemployment doesn't matter, neither does the circumstances under which you joined such as the trainer and trainer's schedule. There are only two exceptions to cancel, proven health issues and an address change with no CG locations. After enjoying the 4-week promo for $9, I went "Bold" in October 2020 during the pandemic lockdown for 12 months at $65 per month which included outdoor and virtual. Some time after that, the trainer moved the time up by an hour, okay...that was kind of expected with daylight savings time. But, when the state of Texas opened back up in the Spring 2021, I found out that virtual was a "gift" for the lockdown only...I missed that in the fine print...my bad. But the monthly amount for Bold-Plus didn't default to the current price of $74, but to $79...there was probably a cut off for that I missed. And when things opened back up, so did my office and me returning to it. Between my office hours and commute, I ended up paying more for something I used less. And, oddly, there are no outdoor workouts that I can make close to my office, everything ends right at 6pm when I get off. In canceling my contract, I had to CALL exactly 30 days in advance of the next billing/payment to give notice. The wait time is awfully painful, but there is a great call back feature. The call has to be made during business hours while most people are busy working themselves. So be careful as 6pm CST is the cut-off. The issue is that there is a vast amount of technology available to have such an archaic way to manage cancellations. If I signed up independently online, I should be able to cancel the same way. If there is a penalty for canceling, let the system calculate and charge accordingly. With all this being said, because I understand nothing is perfect, I'm debating about signing back up virtually to continue. My WW app provides workouts as well, but it's the CG trainers I'll miss. read more

Worst Customer Service and Company "policy" I've ever experienced in a fitness group. I signed up for a 12 month membership which was the first mistake. The trainers in my local area are unreliable and the online trainers were very basic. The overall experience was less than subpar. My 12th month came up in December, so I called and asked to cancel the membership since I knew from the beginning I would NOT be renewing any kind of contract with the fitness group. I was told that the membership was cancelled. January 4th I get charged for another month. I notified their "customer service" (even calling them that is a complete joke.) I was told that the December call wasn't noted on my account, therefore a refund couldn't be issued. I was told that it was policy to notify 7 days before the next charge in order for the cancellation to be processed. I informed them AGAIN that I had notified them and was still charged. Needless to say, their sketchy policy is only one sided and they kept my membership fee even after I cancelled because they refused to give me a refund. This company is MLM SCAM. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews first. The trainers and the classes were great BUT... trying to cancel my membership has shown me just how unethical this company is. I have an injury and according to their contract you can cancel at any time if you have a note from a doctor. So my doctor wrote a note specifically for CG. I followed the process and went through the online chat box to submit the note and cancel my membership. I waited for over an hour. Then the CG rep told me my account t would only be put on hold because my doctor note didn't have the word "indefinitely." So I had to go back to my doctor and have them change the wording (because doctors have nothing better to do) to accommodate CG. They still didn't cancel my membership. They just called and threatened to send me to collections. They cannot cancel "until the account is paid in full." But my account was paid in full when they received the doctors note. This is unethical wanting me to jump through hoops so that I'll just give up and pay them after I cancelled according to their own contract. No thanks CG. read more

Like every other negative complaint it starts with cancelling membership and fact they know they are turds about it and make it super hard to even contact them about it. Once they lock you in a contract they are not going to budget for anything. Even when you come to them a month later with legitimate reasons to be out of the contract. That's complaint one but partially on me for being duped into a gym contract which I rarely ever do. I felt guilty because the trainer comped me one month free and I ended up with about 5-6 weeks of free training. I had an inkling that I might want to do one more month at most of CG before I was ready to do other things. For me, CG is not a lifetstyle, its just a fun thing to do for one month or maybe two at most. I still have to lift heavy weights at the gym (20lbs in parking lot doesn't do much to maintain strength and muscle mass). So after I got comped by a super nice trainer almost 5 weeks of training, I thought why not buy another month from him. Well one month is $200!!!! oh but wait....6 months is only $89/month. So I thought well maybe I can figure out how to work CG into my training program for the next 6 months. Well sure enough the next month I wanted to do a sprint triathlon which requires swimming, biking, and running long distances, none of which CG does. Well than the next month I wanted to do half marathon, so I didn't go to CG another month. Well than after that I was ready to do mostly strength training, so no CG for another month. So I just pissed away my money. I could have spent that $85/month on some more running coaching from a marathon coach or a swim coach for my triathlon but just pissing it away to CG instead is ok. It's like a donation for the poor multi level marketing scheme they have set up for their trainers who I also feel sorry for but won't get into all that here. read more
