WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They have good trainers with good intentions, but they are underpaid and not to mentioned they will NOT care if you are currently encountering any type of hardship. They will put you on a "Freeze" that all it does is prolong the problem. YOU CAN NOT GET OUT! I explained my situation in detail to a representative, but they did not care. I will NEVER again join! Worst mistake I could have ever made. I don't ever write reviews like this, but this is something EVERYONE needs to be aware of and I would hate for someone else to go through what I am going through now with them. read more

I wish I could actually give them zero star. Very inhuman behavior of the customer rep. They don't care about your issues. Just care about money! I was in trial period and sent them a cancellation email before even the billing cycle started. Customer care- Nobody answers and they want a doctor's note to cancel the program. If cancellation was not such a big fuss, I would have had considered joining them in future. Very frustrated with their attitude towards your personal issues. Cancellation policy is not explained to u while joining them why make it so difficult for people that they would hate your service for life and forget the good things that they have been taking from you! You need to decide if u want a customer for life or hate for life! (All this to make money for few months?) I won't be able to add a good review until this problem is sorted. Am in middle of the mess right now! read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Do not waste your time and make sure you DO NOT sign the contract. You will get locked in and the customer service is horrible. They are all extremely rude and will not let you cancel at any time. I had a medical emergency and they are so careless. Do not waste your time. There are a million other fitness options! No one should have to deal with this company and the awful morals they stand by. I wish Yelp offered Negative stars just for this company. read more

Good program and loved my trainer but after a few months, my schedule got in the way. Unfortunately, more than a year after stopping I have not been able to get them to stop billing me even though my contract was for nine months. Multiple emails and calls and still no help. read more

This review is for NO stars. I've attempted to early cancel my membership multiple times from July 2019 - today. I signed a 12 month contract in April 2019. Since then, I've moved twice, accepted a full time job that will help pay for school, and began attending school full time on top of my part time job and freelance work. Since joining as a member, I have attended ONE session.  After sending multiple emails I was told to call the call center - that was the only way to cancel my membership. I did call the call center, multiple times. From my understanding, it is not staffed as no one ever answers. There is an option to receive a call back, but if I'm told that I have to call in to cancel, why then do I actually need to be called to cancel?  Once I received a call back weeks later from an employee's cell phone number, she told me there was nothing they could do. I told her there are no camp times I can make as I work long hours in a hospital and there are no camps on Sundays. I asked her what she suggested I do and she said to talk to my trainer and figure something out. Really? That's why I'm speaking to you.  In July 2019, my debit card expired. I assumed that since I was cancelling anyways and I hadn't provided updated billing information, CG would get the message that I do not want to be a client of theirs. To my surprise, I was charged in August for my membership. Upon logging into my account, I saw that my debit card expiration date had been altered - and not by me. I immediately called my bank to process a charge back. The person that called me from her cell phone at CG told me that they have the authority to obtain payment information from my bank and that this is stated in my contract. I requested the contract to be sent to me and asked why I hadn't received it prior. She said that they only send them to clients if they ask for them. Seriously? The contract wasn't a readable document, so I wasn't able to access it.  It is September 2019 and I've just seen another charge for the membership that I do not want. The card that is now on file has been cancelled. Once I cancelled the card, I received multiple automatic billing notifications to update my payment. These notifications came tonight, September 17th, 2019 at 8:01pm, 8:06pm, 8:58pm, 9:07pm, and will likely continue throughout the night. Today is nowhere near my billing date. These charges are likely not automatic; based off of the time stamps it seems like someone is sitting behind a computer continually changing the code of their merchant processing service and trying to charge my card.  It is a shame that a fitness service would sacrifice their clientele for $75/month. I will never attend another camp, much less recommend Camp Gladiator to another person. Had this outcome been different (i.e. anyone at CG being understanding of my situation and letting me early cancel my contract, showing a single ounce of empathy), I would have a different view. I had planned on returning to my CG routine in the future but now every time I see their marketing my stomach turns upside down. I've worked in the fitness industry for years and never have I see a more sleezy company with how they treat their clients. It seems so counterproductive to create all of this extra work for themselves, for me, for their merchant processing service, and for my bank, when this issue could be resolved so much easier. I have now effectively paid $450 for ONE session. Is this really how Camp Gladiator makes their money? I am left to assume that they must NEED my $75/month to keep their hypothetical doors open. read more

Don't let their whole community bs fool you, if you need to cancel good luck trying. They won't give you any leeway. They treat people who have been "Bold" members for years like they are a new person off the street. If you email costumer service it's just "Call this number, your email has been removed from our queue and we will no longer be responding to it" Even when emailing my trainer about canceling they just ignore my emails. You will be better off going to a gym or Barry's. read more

I was a member for five years and I cancelled my membership when the contract was over. I got charged the next month and I called about it. They refused to refund me even though my contract was up, I had not attended camp, and I had called to cancel my contract. I am very unhappy about this. read more

Very frustrated with the new nutrition planning- Not what was advertised and once you sign up they say you cannot get out off the contract and will have to continue to pay for it!!! I have had an overall positive experience with the organization but being charged for a plan that you are not using is shading my whole experience with Camp Gladiator read more

Camp Gladiator is not person or client centered in any way. Sure wish I wasn't stuck in a 2 year contract with them.

When headquarters tell their trainers to pull aside 3 of their most trusted campers and ask them to give the company a 5-star review just to lift the ratings, that says a lot about their business practices. Instead of trying to be better, they choose cheap tricks. I was a trainer in Austin for 6 months. So many people are being screwed by this company. read more

Do not sign up here. I have been trying to cancel and they are threatening to send it to collections for the entire contract which will be two years from now!! Even throughout COVID they are heartless and want your money. The only way to cancel is to have a doctors note or if you live in an area that doesn't have Camp Gladiator. I didn't even sign up my trainer signed up for me and they stated that was impossible. I can't is a SCAM. read more

I should've written this year 2 or 3 years ago but better late than never. I don't live in Dallas anymore but have lived in California and Pennsylvania trying to find a similar work out and can't! CG is the best workout I've ever experienced! It's challenging no matter what skill level you are on. You can be a beginner and still feel like you belong. It's fun! Also, it's a very positive experience. The trainers care about each person who comes to camp and they encourage you every step of the way. I have to admit I've found a similar hard workout in PA but they lack that positive personal experience, which I really miss. Most importantly, I lost 50 pounds with CG, had fun doing it, and felt like a bad a** while doing it! read more

I ended up signing up after working out one of the free sessions. The trainer was great and I thought sure I'll sign up. I was hot and sweaty, pushing buttons on an iPad I could barely read through the sunlight. I then ran into issues and never attended a single class once the contract was signed. Tried to call and cancel and they told me there was nothing I could do. Now $1300 (2 years) is on my credit. A $1300 hit to my credit for something that I never used. It's entirely my fault I guess for not being able to read the contract and treating it like other gym memberships that I have gotten. At least with those memberships they were month-to-month and I paid them until I decided I didn't want to go to that facility anymore. I had no idea that I was signing a contract that I could not get out of. Beware. read more

Customer Service gets 0 stars - I requested termination of contract on October 1, but they said I had one more month left to honor my contract with a payment due on the 25 of October. Fair. Well, they kept charging me after October and I just realized it now. They charged me FIVE months over my contract after I have requested cancellation because I didn't call back in November to request cancellation again. Their system cannot stop payments for the future, only for the current month. This is a sly loophole in a very mediocre system they are using. Additionally, now, when all gyms are closed and froze memberships, they still charged me for March! PS Trainer was great, but still, I would not want to deal with a company that basically steals your money. Stay away! read more

Avoid CG like the plague. Cancelling your subscription takes an act of Congress and they will auto re-enroll you even after cancelling. Plan on being on hold 1+ hours to talk to someone just to tell you they will cancel the membership. IT WAS ALREADY CANCELLED!!!! Reported to BBB. read more

When I started CG, there were 3 trainers in the area I enjoyed, and I enjoyed working out with a group of familiar faces. Two trainers left and so did the members. My trainer quit and now there are only new faces. I tried to cancel after my trainer quit because I'm not interested in the new trainers. Sadly, I'm under contract and was told no. Do NOT sign a contract, you're stuck with whoever they decide to replace your trainers with. read more

So, here I am, 10 months later, and 100+ more workouts under my belt through CG than when I last reviewed, and have to say I love it even more now than when I started. If Yelp allowed me to post pictures, I would share the soft pudgy version of me from last Christmas, just a few weeks before I started, and the one from this month that shows me with about 30 lbs. less fat and more lean muscle mass. Besides the results, here's what I love: the trainers, the fellow campers and the family atmosphere they engender, the variety of workouts, the convenience of the times and locations, and that it's not just something you do - it's something you become: A Contender! read more

Camp Gladiator promotions are the worst...They suck! I have participated in several promotions & CG has consistently been slow to deliver. I am currently still waiting on the birthday promotion mat. I received an email on Nov. 5, 2021 regarding this promotion and the delivery of the mat which stated that..."currently we anticipate your mat arriving in the next 3 to 4 weeks." It is now February 4 and I still have not received my mat. I recently chatted with someone at CG on Jan. 18 and I was told that the mats would ship in two weeks. I still have not received my mat. My advice to anyone who becomes a member Do Not Participate in the Promotion because CG does not deliver. read more

While the workouts and trainers are good, the customer service and ability to end your contract is not worth the hassle. Avoid at all cost. These are some truly greedy people. read more

BUYER BEWARE. The workouts are fun, even reasonable. Until you want to cancel your membership. We attempted to cancel after our 1 yr contract was over, and over a two month period could not reach anyone We then spoke to our CC company and blocked their charges. Once CG saw the blocked charge, we immediately received a call from them claiming we were in default and demanding repayment, as well as an additional 90 days of payment for their "cancellation notice" period of time. Less than two weeks after refusing their requested payment we were contacted by a collection company. Months later and multiple headaches behind us we've finally cleared our credit report. I will NEVER EVER do business with this company again. Shady beyond belief. read more

I spoke with a representative today trying to cancel my virtual only membership that I have not utilized in a year. It's sad to see that people joined virtually during the height of the pandemic, trying to maintain their physical health from home and now the company offers zero flexibility with the 2 year contract to get out of it. It seems like their company is taking advantage of the pandemic and completely robbing people of their money every month. DO NOT sign up for Camp Gladiator- they have THE WORST customer service! read more

This company has NO heart. I was a longtime member of Camp Gladiator and I will never, EVER use them again. Apparently, I'd signed up for a two-year contract billed monthly without realizing. That's all fine and good, but firstly, CG does NOT let you cancel online, it all has to be done by phone, which to me is already a huge inconvenience to begin with. And then when I explained that my mother had recently passed away and I was trying to save money on bills, they very coldly responded to me that they're sorry, there's nothing they can do, too bad. I would need a doctor's note for ME with a doctor explaining that I am no longer physically fit for BootCamp. That is the worst policy I'd ever heard of and shows a distinct lack of any empathy and compassion. I even offered to provide them with my mother's death certificate but nope, they don't care. Camp Gladiator, in my book, has become nothing more than a scam interested in your money and nothing else. read more

CG Corporate representatives' dishonesty is disappointing. My 6 month termed was to end with my March 14 payment, I emailed and texted with the instructor verifying. However on April 14, I find out I did not cancel accordingly and I was charged on April 14. When I spoke a representative at corporate, I asked to speak a manager three times and was denied each time before the person told me they were the manager. The greed is disgusting enough, then CG adds dishonesty. I don't deal with that type greed. I called the credit company to dispute it. When I filed the dispute with a copy of the communication made by me regarding ending my services, dated 02/17/2020 @ 257pm. Planet Fitness refunded part of March's fee to their customers and they are not charging anyone for the month of April. When you're not greedy you get the type of prosperity that reaches many more people than what others' can imagine doing. Thanks, Financially and Physically Fit Single Mom read more

What a bogus ass company. I signed up awhile back (my fault, I knew it would be a waste of money) and I have paid them 10 months in full, and have not gone 1 time. Went to cancel my membership today and got the company line of, "Sorry Brian, it is a contract and our policy you cannot cancel". Camp Gladiator, your customers are why you are business, try taking care of them... read more

How bad is that response from CG. I basically tell Camp Gladiator that I have no interest in their business or their workouts and they want to see me back in camp? Apparently they don't listen or care....why should they? they are getting my money. I did open a BBB about them (a lot of complaints) and tried calling but was on hold for too long. I did chat with them and got the same run around. I even contacted local investigative news outlets and waiting to hear back. What I don't get is I never signed any contract. I never agreed to their contract. I was never told by CG or a trainer that I could not cancel. When I asked or bring this up, they just give me the same run around about their policy, never actually answer my question. CG if you are reading this - listen -please provide me documentation where I formally agreed, signed, the contract or agreed to the terms and conditions? I came in under promotion for free and trainer signed me up for Bold. I was NEVER provided anything to sign for the membership I was signed up for. This has to be illegal, if not, very shady business practice. To all - these guys are scam artists. Their workout are not that good and I would say more harmful. I'm actually debating on getting a lawyer engaged to look into this now...just out of principle. read more

I can't say enough about CG. Seriously, the best work out ever. I see Gabby at Camp Gladiator at Sprouts in Coppell on MWF at 515 am. I found another camp nearby at Wagon Wheel Park in Coppell for T/TH 5:15 am with Shannon. And Saturday with Ulysser at Irving/Ranchview HS at 8:30 am. I am addicted. I didn't expect to like it at all, honestly. But they are so genuine and helpful and caring, but also so motivating and encouraging. I've been pushed to my limit and then coached past it too. In 4 weeks, I've lost weight, gained muscle, and my endurance has grown exponentially. I hate it during the work out, but love it after. read more

I pretty much get my butt kicked each time I go to camp!!! It is a great workout, but I am not going to lie it is hard. You are constantly moving and going non stop for an hour. I like that you can go to any location and there are lots of different times available to accommodate just about anyone's schedule. Likes: Team oriented Motivating Excellent workout Sense of accomplishment when you complete a class Dislikes: Name tags (sorry, if you want to know my name ask and build a relationship instead of defaulting to a name tag) Things they have you say are really corny and sophomoric at times Feel like they talk down to you (hello we are all adults) We were told it's ok to take breaks and drink water (but get scolded when you aren't hurrying- what gives?) So at times it can be very interesting at camp!!! One time a trainer didn't even acknowledge/encourage me in a group of people when she gave encouragement to everyone else in the group. I have a feeling it had to do with me not wearing a name tag because she knew my name. So yeah, there have been some awkward, bizarre, misleading representation by trainers of an encouraging team atmosphere. Every camp/trainer is different too, so if you have a really bad experience at one camp, try a different camp/location. read more

I am an certified Personal Trainer for Camp Gladiator in Keller. I had never even liked the idea of a boot camp with my "gym rat" ways... when I finally agreed to give CG (campGladiator) a try, I was shocked shocked at what was delivered by the awesome trainers they had. Through the long and very active internship process, I learned how amazing CG is for you. It is your weight training, cardio exercise in one! Also it feeds your companionship and competitive spirit with the game-oriented training styles and the positive spirit is more than dynamic! I was in amazing shape before I found CG... I got in even BETTER shape with CG and had fun doing it!! It is unbelievable. I chose to train for CG because of that. It is life-changing and one of a kind. read more

This review is specific to Camp Gladiators cancellation policy. I understood ahead of time that when I sign up for a 6 month policy I'm committed. I called the day prior to my next bill and asked to cancel. You can ONLY cancel if you call....there is no online option. Evidently there is also a 7 day period before the bill due date before you are "allowed" to cancel. As a school principal during a pandemic I'm barely keeping my head above water. Camp Gladiator showed no grace or understanding...keep in mind I called BEFORE my next bill was due. I originally thought I might come back to Camp Gladiator once my schedule allowed for it again. After this experience, I will not support their business. read more

I been calling to cancel my membership for 3 weeks! Every time I called there is a waiting time of over an hour. They give you the option of holding your place in line and they will call you back. Wrong! They never do, today I called for the 4th time. I been waiting already 45 minutes on the line....customer service is terrible! It is such a hassle to cancel the membership, it is not worth it getting a contract with Camp Gladiator. read more

Also, now I am receiving text messages for their most recent promotion even though I cancelled my membership. I unsubscribed to the emails; but now I am getting texts. I have tried diets, working out, EVERYTHING since I can remember. I have been doing this camp for this session, and within the first week I lost 5 lbs. I feel empowered, look great, and even my husband has taken notice. I did have to fight the soreness for the first 3 days, but after that I have found myself happier than ever. I look forward to going to workouts, and tell everyone I know about CG! I can't wait to take my before/after pictures to show everyone this camp really does work. This is the best thing I have ever experienced! My favorite trainers are EMILY L. and DEREK B. They are located around the colony locations. Another thing that I truly love about CG is that the trainers encourage you, but also know how to read weaknesses and strengths of people in the group and how to work with everyone. You get to go at your own pace, and build as you go. The first day I was behind everyone, but every single person encouraged me; they didn't tell me to "hurry up". We have a chant that we do at the end of every workout "CG WUT WUT", and no matter how hard my workout is I always leave with a smile on my face! Thanks to my trainers, and CG; I am grateful for y'all! This is a great journey that I am enjoying... read more

Trainers are fine, but their billing practices places them to an all time low. My wife injured herself close to the time of her contract expiration and they talked her into just pausing the account. when she tried again and re-injured herself, they had already signed her up for another year. I've been going to Camp Gladiator for 3 months now at Frisco Square at 5:30 in the morning. The trainer, Derrick, is legit. I was concerned at first that I was going to be the only guy in room full of girls doing jazzercise, but it's not the case at all. About 40% guys in this "camp" and the workouts are no thrills tough. In 3 months, I've shed about 20 pounds and I can do 3 times the number of pushups and sit-ups than when I started. The workouts are all different, we never run more than a mile at a time (mostly we don't run more that about a quarter mile) and you never know what we'll do. From tug-a-war, to pushups, to carrying sandbags, to you name it....It keeps it interesting and fun. If you're looking to get in shape, and stay motivated - I'd highly recommend Camp Gladiator...and specifically Derrick Baer as an instructor. read more

ZERO, I would give this a zero star if I could...I signed up for a trial in September and after a lot of back a fort with the guy that was the instructor "Spencer" I was told i would get a Military discount, I sept him a copy of my ID, but was still having problems with my discount...My bank account wa charged $70 on the first of the month. I was shocked as Spencer and I were still going back and forth as to whether i was gonna sign. I called customer service, who was AWFUL!!! From the beginning of my call i could not believe how bad the service was...I left it alone because Spencer text me he had done everything to have my account dissolved...I got a text that my CC was not going threw and i need to supply. I called and got a call back from a CRISTIN who said I PROVED my PIN to the instructor and it is a valid sign up, and it looks like my account is about to go to collections......I am beside myself with anger! I gave my pin to Spencer thinking he was checking me in each time i came to a class..... They are dishonest...I will be contacting an attorney because i have all the emails between Spencer and I, with HIM admitting we had a miscommunication... Even if I lose, i am that certain this kinda behavior in TOTALLY UNJUST!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAMP!!! read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. The trainer signed me under under a trial period. The trainer said it would only be $79 dollars. A ONE TIME FEE. Here they are still charging me a year later. These people are scammers! Don't do it. Then if you try to cancel they will hang up on you and that's if they decide to even call you back. Its impossible to get in touch with someone.
