The crust had a great flavor, perfect thickness, and the right texture. The sauce was nicely seasoned, and they did not skimp on the toppings. There were options for door dash, call in, or walk in, and we decided to call it in, to be able to customize it. No issues on the phone, but a few minor issues picking it up. At first, they tried to give me someone else's pizza. Then, they had a problem with their brand new POS, but everything was settled quickly and pleasantly. Absolutely not worth it. The food at Camila's Togo is way overpriced for the quality you get. My dish was drowning in sauce, yet somehow still tasted undercooked--how does that even happen? On top of that, the service was terrible. They kept telling me my food would be ready in "just 5 minutes," but I ended up standing there for 15, watching them gaslight other customers the same way. Camila's to go is my new lunchtime to-go. I popped in for a quick meal while running some errands. I got a slice of pizza and one of the best chicken Caesar salads I've had in a very long time. The inside sit down area is cozy but the chairs could be a bit more comfortable. There are outdoor picnic tables but they'll be impractical when the weather cools down some more. Went there today with some co workers for lunch, we are a mulch team together and all had a good appetite! I ordered a side of pasta with oil and garlic and boneless wings with garlic parm and hot sauce for those two things I was charged 39$ the pricing is insane for starters for second the boneless wings were out of syscos back door and had a lot of weird fat inside it wasn't pleasant. In my quest for the "best pizza near my house" I turned my sights on Camila's. Truth be told, we had come here once before when it was named something else (I don't know if the ownership is the same or not) and had a pretty decent pizza at that time. It wasn't inexpensive, but good pizza and cheap pizza are usually mutually exclusive. But, times change and I forgot about this location. So, one Sunday I decided to order pizza and wings and watch football... except that they are closed on Sundays! Grr! So, I had to wait another week to test them. I ordered the "Carne" (meatball, sausage, bacon, caramelized onions) without onions, and the "Bianco" (fresh herbs, garlic, ricotta, mozz., broccoli, roasted cherry tomatoes) pizzas. Each was $15, and I think only one size is available. I would say it ranged between a medium and a large. Ordering was easy. As pictures from others would show, the crust was thick and coated in cornmeal. I don't mean dusted, I mean coated. But since I love the flavor, texture, and crunch that it offers I thought it was great. My wife didn't appreciate it as much. The Bianco pizza had enough vegetables on it to almost confuse you into thinking it was healthy. I love broccoli (fresh, not frozen... eghh) and cherry tomatoes on pizza and these were good. It wasn't a watery pizza at all, and the ricotta made for tasty bites. The meat pizza was good too and actually tasted like yummy savory toppings on a pizza, and not like "meat lovers" pizzas from the freezer section that are all salt and grease. Their pizza sauce was good though not as sharp as I like, and there was a good amount of cheese. The prices aren't cheap, but the pizza is solid. Sadly, my favorite time to eat pizza is while watching football and they are closed on Sundays. read more

A new pizza place in Latham? Oh yeah! Finding a good place to get pizza in Latham has felt like going to the moon sometimes. There's a lot of mediocrity here. I was excited to see them move in here where Lagonias was. They have a lot of specialty pizzas as well as salads, sandwiches and full dinners. All of the items are takeout or delivery. The man behind the counter was friendly and told me that before this they had a Mexican restaurant in California. After looking at the menu, I chose a medium Margherita pizza and a medium Buffalo Chicken pizza. They were 14 inches each cut into 6 wide slices. The Margherita had chewy fresh mozzarella, so chewy that it came off the pizza when bitten into. The fresh tomato sauce was mild and sweet with a nice basil and garlic flavor. The Buffalo Chicken pizza had a wonderful amount of blue cheese covering the whole pizza. The Buffalo sauce also has a real kick from chipotle pepper. The flavors were really well rounded just like a wing dipped into blue cheese dressing. If I had any thing to improve on I would say the crust. I like the perfect balance between chew and char and this crust is a bit too stiff for my taste. Overall, the flavors of the ingredients really pleased me. The price at around $15 each was fair for the quality of ingredients. I hope they stick around so we can try more of what they have to offer Update*** The pizza is still very good! This time we had the Camilla which had arugula, buttered onions, plum tomatoes and sprinkled bacon and a cheese pizza with half mushrooms and half pepperoni. Both pizzas had a fresh tasting light and crispy thin crust with a nice semolina flavor. The buttered onions on the Camilla were delicious however I didn't notice any bacon. Oh well it tasted great anyway. The cheese pizza was also good with fresh mushrooms not canned!! Camilla's is not cheap but the quality shows. I felt good after eating not overstuffed. Now to get back there and try some of their other menu items! read more

Dull, uninspired flavors. So far I've ordered a marghertia, carne, and buffalo chicken pizza pie. Only the margherita was slightly enjoyable, the carne and buffalo chicken I threw out after a few bites and instead made an over easy egg w/salt+pepper on buttered toast, which had more flavor and made me feel good. But that's the status quo for Albany pizza. Just to be fair, on second inspection, I picked apart the pizza tasting different parts, cheese, crust, toppings, sauce. None of them tasted good!! Weak flavors. Geez man, buy quality ingredients! Are you ordering the cheapest stuff from Sysco's catalog? Mixing boring flavors together does not make something good. That's like using cheap wine in a dish. If you don't like the wine to drink don't use it in cooking. Marisa's in Guilderland and Defazio's in Troy are OK I guess, if i'm going to suffer Albany area pizza I'll order from these two places. My husband and I just moved to the Latham area. We ordered a lot of takeout during our first few weeks of moving. Out of all of the pizzas we've ordered, Camila's was by far the best. The crust is perfect, not too thin and not too doughy, and the sauce is really great. We've tried the chicken wings twice and think they're ok. The garlic knots are soooo tasty and everything is reasonably priced. We can't wait to try other items on the menu but will find it hard not to stick with a pie! read more

We recently moved to Loudonville and have ordered from Camila's almost a dozen times. Their pizzas are good and creative. Every salad we've ordered has been fresh and filling. The wings & garlic knots are great, too. Tonight we ordered the Cajun chicken carbonara and it was perfect. I'm gluten free so they offered grilled veggies. This is a great place to get "to-go" that's a steps above normal to-go. It's the perfect solution for us when we need dinner fast but want more than just pizza and wings or subs. read more

We have been going here for the last 6 months, and have never been disappointed. A few weeks ago I had the Caprese salad, better then most dine in restaurants. Tonight we had the broccoli rabe- spicy, tart and lots of garlic. Blackened chicken on fettuccine Alfredo, not swimming in sauce which was perfect. Bolognese over penne, not a heavy sauce, but fresh and light with lots of meat. Both meals came with a house Caesar Salad. The pizza we get is the Dolce Vita. I went on Cammilas to go website and looked up their catering menu. I needed the smaller cheese platter. Picture and descripton said it came with assorted cheese, fruit and crackers. Price on website said $45. I picked it up and , even though it's very nice, the price was $65! I spoke to 2 different people and they said it is market price. Everytime we order no matter what it is the order is always wrong. They read back what u order and still it's incorrect- the sauce is left out on meatball subs, same for dressing on salads and their chicken is always over cooked and dry. If you don't pay cash they add an extra charge to ur total charge. No mention of that. Their prices are never what is posted on their website. Fantastic pizza, gourmet salads, and entres. I recently had a seafood stew that had a delicious broth and abundant shrimp, mussels, calamari and clams. I have never had anything that tasty and creative, even in fancy high end restaurants. Chicken parmesian, eggplant parmesian, seafood fra diavalo, chicken marsalla.....I can go on and on. I don't know who their chef is but he is cooking up some absolutely fantastic dishes. This place is a hidden gem on the corner of Albany Shaker Road and Everett Road. I stopped in here for lunch and ordered the blackened blue burger with potato salad. The location is easy to get to, the small parking lot had spaces available, and the facility was clean and presented well. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The potato salad (likely made fresh on site...?) was somewhat unconventional and tasted great. Raw vegetables including celery, onions, and carrots made it somewhat crunchy. I enjoyed it. The burger was ordered medium and when I got back to my office I found that it was nearly raw inside. I was disheartened about that but the flavor was good, and the burger was huge! I'll go back and try a signature sandwich instead next time. Pricing seems fair and consistent for the area. Wait time from order to out the door was incredibly fast (which is why the burger was so undercooked). If you're looking for a good lunch, stop in, but order your food a little overdone. read more
