These apartments are way over-priced for what they offer, and they offer very little. First off, there's a rodent problem. Cockroaches are all over the laundry room and the gym (which is tiny), and every once in a while you'll find one in your apartment too. Another big issue I had was noise. The walls here are extremely thin. You can always hear people next door and walking by in the hallway. If you're a light sleeper, you're probably not going to be able to sleep. The smell from other apartments travels very far as well. The halls always smelled nasty, like cigarettes and cooking. Sometimes the smell was so strong that I could smell it inside my apartment. Another huge issue I had with this apartment is safety - and I'm a guy. There are always sketchy people hanging around this place. There's a city school not far down the road and the students that go there aren't exactly the most friendly people you'll meet. I've seen arrests being made right around the corner from this place twice in one year. Coming home late at night is probably not a great choice.
They do offer Wi-Fi for free, and I thought that was really cool, except it was the slowest and least reliable internet connection I had ever used in my life. Also, lots of people here are older couples, and that's cool I guess. But if you're expecting a young and hip environment, this isn't it. In the winter, you can't control your own heat, its all controlled by management. Most of the time the apartment was way too hot, and I would have to pop a window open in January to compensate for the over-heating problem. The bathroom has no ventilation, so whenever I had guests over I would never want to use the bathroom cause the smell would stick around forever - pretty embarrassing. All around, these apartments are alright; but for the price they are asking, alright does not cut it. Take your money and go somewhere else. read more
