My Dad and his wife live at the Longwood Towers. If you haven't been, apparently at one point it was a fancy pants hotel that was converted into apartments, then into condos, and now condos and apartments.
There are three main towers, one of which was completely closed for apparently decades. They are opening it back up slowly but surely.
While the Longwood Towers are old, they have been kept up very well. The lobby for the Towers is impressive with gorgeous architecture. The downside to living in an old place is that the walls are perhaps not the thickest and you can occasionally hear your neighbors walking around.
There is a tiny gym, laundry room, "den" w/tvs and whatnot, etc. It is also pet friendly and there is an area behind the building to walk your dog(s).
The concierges & staff are highly professional and do a great job making you feel at home. However, watch out if you park your car there as I know several folks have had their car dented by the valet staff. read more
