I was moving to Boston from Maine, and my boyfriend was moving from Nevada. We had a lot of odds against us. We needed something handicapped accessible (a true challenge in Boston), safe, and moderately affordable, as we were working with a student budget. Mike Tinsley of Longwood Residential, was honestly the only broker to even get back in touch with me during our hunt. We had one building in particular that we knew would work for us, and after a friend connected with Mike to look at it for us, within the week we had papers signed. We went back and forth a lot as the building was new and there were a lot of logistical issues to take care of, but Mike made all of this as easy as possible for us. It was so wonderful to have someone to be the middle man between all of these companies and be able to focus on the move. Unfortunately, this was the worst real estate agency I have ever worked with. Very unprofessional and dishonest. Our real estate agent, Mike, pressured us into renting a place and promised that it would be painted and cleaned (as it was in terrible condition). When we moved in, it wasn't, and the owner told us that mike had wrongly promised that to is. There were numerous issues with the place, cockroaches, broken oven, and a broken lock... Mike was completely unhelpful in helping us contact the owner who responded to none of our complaints. One day, I got locked Out of my apartment and after Being ignored by the owner I called mike, who I knew had a key, but mike said that he no longer Had a key. When showing people our place the next year, he miraculously had one. Save your time and money and DO NOT go to this place . This was the most frustrating experience, and there are much better real estate agents, owners, and apartments than this disgraceful place shows. I was Naive and trusting and i want to warn potential renters against this place. read more
