I moved in 4 months ago , please be careful moving here. I have never felt so uncomfortable being a woman in a luxury building . One of the front desk , Shane , follows me and other women around the building . He knows where I am at all times in the building because he has access to the cameras. I have mentioned this to management but they don't seem to care . Can't feel safe as a woman anywhere. The rest of the concierge and staff are nice and respectful. Worst place I have ever lived. Management is extremely rude, downright hostile, and completely unempathetic. I have been dealing with an ongoing issue of pervasive cigarette smoke in the hallways and seeping into my unit from a known source. It's been over 5 months and this still has not been resloved. The only action taken by management has been spraying the hallways down with air freshener. This does not solve any of the health, allergy, and breathing concerns this is causing. No reasonable options have been offered to me, including simply transferring to a different unit without fee. I have literally begged for options (this has been ongoing since I moved into the unit) and the only thing management has offered after 5 months is FOR ME to find a replacement tenant. I am so tired of dealing with this and the constant resulting breathing issues. On top of this, it is extremely unprofessional to hear management complaining about me and dealing with this, as if I am the cause of this issue they won't remedy. I was chastised via email for writing a review on another forum, instead of simply receiving an apology. I do not feel safe or comfortable living here. read more

Please Carefully Read Reviews about management and leasing before making a decision on moving in to Park 151. Do not just be solely drawn by the luxurious amenities and lifestyle it offers. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience the headache I went through, but if that is something you wouldn't care about then it will be worth moving in. When we first worked with the Management & Leasing Office team, we had such a stressful experience. I've never have experienced such unprofessionalism from any leasing office before. They never answer the phone upon working hours. They cut communication with you via email and They only reply or contact you when they need something regarding information, payment, etc. They also never communicate with each other about the progress on your leasing agreement. This causes so much confusion between the potential renters and their leasing team. With that being said, it was a nightmare getting everything together for our move in date. Although we provided every necessary documentation, $500 deposit, and a guarantor/co-signer to start the process within the first day for approval, our first leasing agent made a mistake on our leasing agreement. Instead of our agreement being $4200 for 13 months (this is the minimum lease length that they offer), the agent had written it for 12 months and $4300 to sign which this was a complete mistake on their end. Then, before fixing it and updating us about our lease, the leasing agent goes on vacation without helping us finish our application and hands it over to another agent without any update on the application nor communication about our background whatsoever. This led to so many confusions and the next leasing agent was struggling to help us out. This leasing agent was great at first and I felt genuinely bad for getting thrown into our situation blindly because he/she was good at Clarifying many concerns and answering our questions for the leasing agreement. However, the problem was that he/she supposedly took care of everything and the only thing we need left is the first months rent and security deposit and insisted that we needed to get it in asap by 4/30. So, I went ahead and paid for priority mail and insurance to get it there on time only to find out that it will be returned to me because they do not accept the check before officially signing the lease and background check. It was ridiculous and a headache to be put through that since I paid extra for no reason and the bank already took my funds to provide us with their cashiers check. This had me worried because there was a time limit on whether I wanted to cancel the cashiers check or not with my bank and I would have taken a loss on priority mail payment if they sent it back. Now, after dealing with this agent, he/she started to ignore every single call and email. It's been a week and today is 4/28 when our confirmed move in date is 4/30 yet we are still constantly waiting for them to send us the lease so we can sign it and move in. Nothing has moved forward and we were promised the background check would be done last week and it has not been done yet. Finally, out of all the leasing agents, I really want Jessica Cavanagh, to be recognized for her level of communication, assistance, and professionalism. After obtaining our lease situation, Jessica contacted us saying we were approved without conditions for the credit check meaning we didn't need a security deposit after all. So, she ensured that after getting approved and made sure my cashiers check will end up going to future months rent. I wholeheartedly appreciated her efforts in answering my questions and concerns and even the way she handled things professionally. She even provided me with a receipt showing where my check was going towards and additional information with move in instructions. She even followed up with us, notified us of our approval, and showed genuine empathy for us. I do understand they are at the busiest time of the year, but she made sure we were taken care of before moving onto next applicants. She even apologized for our situation which was something I valued because we never got that from any other agents that helped us previously. Other than that, i believe all Apartment Leasing should be very professional and communicative. It is not worth the headache, worry, and hassle especially if you are paying thousands to secure a place to live at when the housing market is moving fast with little options left to choose from. I wouldn't want anyone else to experience this, but I strongly believe Jessica would take care of you with efficiency and sincere confidence. From this experience, I hope we can move forward from this and move in with ease, but also truly enjoy what park 151 has to offer. This apartment is a complete disaster. When I first came here, I actually looked at many apartments, but I was deceived by its newness and exterior, so I signed the lease. Then the nightmare began. First of all, the sound insulation of this trash apartment is terrible. It's next to a transportation hub, and every night there's this piercing noise. I heard it's something to do with the Green Line charging or something. Anyway, without earplugs, you absolutely can't sleep. And then there are four elevators in this apartment, but they never work at the same time. There's always one under maintenance, including now, with only two elevators working. Plus, these elevators seem dumber than those in other apartments. Sometimes you have to wait forever for an elevator. But that's not the worst part. The ** apartment leaks water. It started leaking from the seventeenth or eighteenth floor, and my room turned into a water curtain cave. I woke up at four in the morning to find two people standing in front of my bed, which scared the soul out of me. Because of the leak, they sealed my entire room, even the toilet and sink were covered with plastic film. I was so angry that I went to find the manager, and they gave me a studio to live in temporarily. Then I went back to my country for a month during the winter break, and when I came back, I found that all my stuff had been cleaned out and thrown away by the apartment's cleaner without my knowledge. Now, when I ask the apartment, they just shirk responsibility and refuse to compensate. Moreover, the power keeps tripping recently, even using the microwave has become a matter of luck. Anyway, these are all lessons learned the hard way. If anyone plans to come to Boston and lives in Park 151, I'll laugh at them. read more

The building and facilities are incredible , the location is amazing . I was so happy when I found it. However , why put so much money into creating such a luxury building and then completely cheap out on the staff hiring. The staff is so unqualified. The front desk is either just a rock, a teenager with their AirPods in , or overly friendly / unprofessional. I hear them gossiping about fellow staff & tenants often amongst each other. The leasing manager Jessica starts harassing all tenants the 2nd day of the month over rent, calling, emailing. Leaving notices, de-activating garage sensors. Nothing i have ever experienced in any luxury building. I hear them screaming/ gossiping some very foul things about tenants / other staff it's quite appalling. I wish there was a back door To avoid seeing interacting with them. P.s the building is only 10% occupied. The garage is completely empty , maybe 5 cars total parked in there. Their charging $300 for a spot in a completely empty garage while the staff and their friends use it as free parking and have parties in vacant units. In the past when I moved into a new , mostly vacant building they always Let us park for $100 /month until the garage /building fills up. This building is still a ghost town , and the staff is taking full advantage of it. Me and my roommate have been talking to other tenants & everyone feels the same way. Just want to say Moe and the maintenance staff are professional & it's obvious they are experienced in luxury building management. DO NOT RENT UNIT 234! - 6 months construction noise, 4 month Trash room noise, Disrespect from Property Manager Jonathan Matthew I moved out last month. When I moved in in December I was told by leasing officer Moe that the construction site next to the unit would be finished in 1 month and I will get 2 month rent free which would end in a couple of days. What turned out was that the 2 months free benefit is still going even now and what's absurd is that the construction did not finish until June! I had to wake up every single day except for Sunday at 6:30 AM and the loud, disturbing construction site noise wouldnt finish until 3PM. They postponedthe date from January to March to May to June and offered no solution to deal with this issue. If they ever told me the correct date, I'd never rented this apartment and endure the construction noise every single day which made me had anxiety problems. And i saw the review from Brianna that they said Brianna was lying, they are truly bunch of guys who use information gap between residents to earn benefits. Since the late April, another issue emerged: trash room noise. My unit is not above the trash room but the trash room in the 1st floor has a disturbing bumping and beeping noise unlike any other apartments I lived in Boston and LA. As long as there is someone throwing trash in the apartment, you'd hear that beeping noise and when it get stuck by cardboards, the noise would not be stopped until concierge gets in there and take the trash out of it. So often, the noise would arise at midnight and for one time I had to live in a hotel. The concierge at first would go in and fix it but later they said it's not their job and shifted this task to maintenance. It does not solve the problem at all because the maintenance leaves at 6 PM and not work on weekends which means the time that you'd most likely to live in this apartment and rest, no one would deal with the noise if it happens after 6pm and weekends. The property manager Jonathan is a disrespectful, hierarchical, arrogant, narcissist who manipulates and plays with his power. The date I moved into this apartment, the leasing offer Moe who was supposed to assist went on a vacation. And Jonathan was the only person I saw. When I knocked his door he PRETENDED he didn't hear. So I opened the door and asked him to provide assistance. On the elevator, he pointed his finger at me and said: THAT WAS NOT GOOD. What does that mean? You pretend to not hear your resident knocking at your door and you tell me whats wrong? Moreover, I addressed this conflict with him the second day. He talked to me with his chin raised and looked down upon me, pointed at me with his pen and said," You should not open that door because "I" was in a meeting. And you arrived 10 minutes late didn't you?" It is at that moment that I knew that he is a self-centered, hierarchical person who dared to TIME the resident when they moved in and prioritized his task over the need of resident which is not what this apartment's branding stands and the services you pay for. What's even more hilarious is that in the 4 months period I dealt with the trash room noise, I talked to him 3 times and received no solution of how that trash room noise could be resolved except for letting me becoming the problem. In the 2nd time I talked to him in my floor. He'd suddenly turn around and ask a random resident whether she heard the noise or not during our conversation which was not to find out more detail but to interrupt and irritate me like a middle school boy. And it was me who offered the idea that the concierge could shut the compressors off at 11pm and that wasn't even executed properly in the last 2 months. In July when I wanted to reach out to him again, he played politics: he didn't meet me but let the concierge to pass the words and said that he was in his lunch break and if I ever wanted to talk to him, here is his business card and I could find his email on it. What a character. I was exhausted by this 8-months noise problem and had enough of unqualified management. There are more and more residents complaining about the noise problem because it's near MBTA and said that they never told the residents about the noise situation and that the residents are trapped by the lease. Be careful of what they say to you! Jonathan will quit his job soon and come to China to teach English. This is a dangerous guy whom you don't trust to become a teacher. I have been living at Park 151 for 3 months. The office is always helpful and maintenance responds quickly and is nice. They have lots of amenities, meeting rooms, and a nice gym. I would recommend Park 151 to friends moving to the area. read more

First and foremost, the building itself has a lot of potential. However, I believe that very little of the potential is actually realized either through poor management or the unwillingness to spend money to relieve the issues. In order of most to least pressing: 1. When you sign your lease, you will be required (as in you have no option to opt out of this) to pay an additional $99 in fees for a 'smart apartment' and 'wifi'. In other words, your rent will be $99 more than the listed rent. The problem with this is that the wifi is so bad that I once overheard the front desk concierge recommend to a potential WFH (work from home) tenant to 'maybe not work from home for a while until we figure it out'. Even if you buy your own wifi (xfinity, or any other provider) you will still have to pay the $99 because, again, you cannot opt out of it. The 'smart apartment' means you have a keypad instead of a physical lock. I've talked to probably 10 tenants at this point who all have expressed concern with this and Park 151 'has been working on it' for months now with no update. 2. The listed amenities is partially unavailable. For one, once in every 3 times I go downstairs (either to leave the apartment or to inquire about a missing package) I have to wait for a period of time until the concierge comes back from wherever the concierge was. Maybe they have to travel a distance to go to the restroom because there is only one in the lobby, and it is out of order. I also feel that, with the exception of a few staff, most of them are truly unhelpful. Separately, there is a golf simulator that a guest apparently broke and the building has no plan of fixing it 'because it costed them a lot of money to install it' (obviously not a pressing issue to continue living, except they claim to be luxury). 3. The compost bin is SO FAR AWAY. Not only do you have to go down to the lobby to throw away your compost to attempt to be environmentally conscious, but you also have to go through a series of hallways and double doors to get to the compost collection. Truly unincentivized. 4. This may differ from unit to unit, but the AC unit is so incredibly loud you would not believe it. During college, I used to live in units where you have to stick in an AC unit in between your windows, but the AC unit in these apartments do not compare - they truly BLOW OUT AIR. Not a nuisance unless you are trying to sleep. I understand that the Boston housing market is tight, and that the convenience of proximity to public transportation combined with the added benefit of a luxury apartment and a developing neighborhood may be attractive, but I recommend you do your research to see if this building can meet your unique needs. read more

I've currently been living at Park 151 since February 2023. I was given a virtual tour due to me living out of state at the time. I suggest everyone to not make this mistake like I did. I also advise you take off from work and complete a tour from the hours of 6:30am to 6pm to determine the level of noise in your possible apartment. I was advised that my apartment would not have the sounds of the nearby train or construction noise due to the building being sound proof. Sadly, I've religiously been woken up everyday at 6:30am-7:00am(Monday-Saturday). I've waited to make this review until I was able to determine the final resolution of this matter. I spoke with leasing staff, assistant managers and mangement to see what can be done about moving me, discounts or letting me completely out of my lease. I was advised I was a liar by leasing staff and that they told me I would be woken up everyday at 6:30am. Which led to me only wanting to speak to management. Jonathan is the management of this building and I can see that he actively was trying to work on my behalf to resolve the terrible experience with staff as well as noise. Sadly he was advised that all they can do for me was give me a 2-week notice to end my lease if I wanted to and a mbta gift card. Currently, the market available in May 2023 of Boston is very limited which Im sure if you searching now you're aware of. Nothing else on the market at this time can fit my overall furniture but If i was advised of this resolution sooner when it was brought up in March 2023 I could moved into another building. I currently work in health care and see patients from a hospital setting as well as at home. I advise against moving here if you need to work from home due to the significant amounts of construction noise(saws, beeping, and banging). I'm now obligated to go into to work to see patients virtually to prevent the noise from impacting my clinics flow. I was recommended to see patients in a public conference room by the assistant management.I advised them that would place me in a position of breaking HIPAA for all my patients. I sadly have 10 more months of my lease here and will have to deal with this noise until supposedly August 2023? I'm not sure if I should believe this because the leasing staff and assistant management said the noise would end in March 2023. I've made this review because I hope others can learn from my mistakes. Please rethink doing any sorts of virtual tours or trusting that leasing staff will be honest on noise levels.
