Which by the way was a bad idea because I ended up falling in love with a 2018 Blue Metallic Ford Edge SEL. I told my husband let's go before I end up wanting it. I wish I would have read all the TERRIBLE reviews before bringing my car here. I brought it in because there were two recalls that needed to be taken care of. I was without a car for two and a half days but that's not even my main issue here. First off, I got there at 7 AM sharp for my scheduled appointment time and the person who was going to be working on my car wasn't even there yet!!! The front desk girls refused to check me in with anyone other than Lennel(the person working on my car). Finally at 7:20 I told the front desk I needed to go to work and someone else needed to check me in, I couldn't wait for Lennel to decide to show up to work any longer. They agreed, Cassidy checked me in and I went on my way. I picked my car up two and a had days later at 12:00 PM and went back to work. Upon leaving work at 5:00 PM I noticed my car had some trouble starting up(it's a push to start). The seatbelt warning and rear sensors also sounded very strange. Nevertheless, it started and I drove 5 minutes to my house. Once I got to my house I turned off the car and went inside. Not even 10 minutes later I realized I forgot to stop at the store on my way home, so I decided to go back out. MY CAR WOULD NOT START. So I'm sitting in my car looking around trying to figure out why my battery is dead and my HEADLIGHTS WERE LEFT ON!!!!!!! Never in my 5 years of owning my car have I EVER turned my headlights on, EVER!!! I have always used the "auto" feature for the headlights and they come on when it's dark outside and go off when my car is shut off. I immediately called the dealership and spoke to Cassidy who set me up with an appointment for the next day to check the battery. However, after reading all of these awful reviews I will not be returning to camelback ford to fix what they broke because it seems like they are UNWILLING to make their mistakes right! I will NOT go to this dealership, wait 3 hours, just for them to tell me I need a new battery at my own expense for someone on their team leaving my headlights on!!!! Mind you, I have left an interior light on overnight by accident and have never had any issues. My headlights were most likely on the entire two days they had my car essentially killing my battery. So thanks camelback ford for doing a terrible job, having awful customer service, causing more problems for me than I already had, and costing me more money that I didn't need to spend for at least another 6 months-1 year, maybe even longer! -editing to add that I just checked the invoice and it states it took her 1 hour to preform 1 recall, and 2 hours to preform the second recall. They had my car for almost 3 days for 3 hours of work! Lennel also told me she found nothing wrong with my door latches over the phone, but the invoice states both front cables on each door were damaged and replaced! We purchased our used 2014 Ford Explorer from Camelback back in April. The salesperson insulted and belittled us for doing research on the car. He was so aggressively rude that I waited outside. My husband really loved the car, so he went through with the purchase and got some wiggle room due to their unprofessionalism. Here we are awhile later... they stated the car had one previous owner. Well, it was a fleet vehicle, used as a rental, absolutely abused. Both turbos are completely destroyed. The transmission is destroyed. Everything else is leaking. We took it to our local dealer after noticing a few oil drops and this is the bombshell he dropped on us. He cannot believe this was Ford Certified. Ok, So this place is terrible! I pull up in at the service department to have my vehicle serviced. A check engine light comes on and I immediately wanted to take it in to have it looked at. So anyway, I pull in the service department, and the service advisor KC approaches and asked if i've been helped. I told him I haven't, and was looking to get my vehicle looked at due to check engine light and also my air conditioning isn't blowing enough air. So he tells me he will have his mechanic look at it really quick, after waiting about 15 mins he comes back and says I have to leave the vehicle there for them to do a full check up to see what the problem is. He also told me that it's a $99.99 for them to inspect the vehicle but that can go towards the labor and parts once they find what's wrong with it. Anyway I drop off the car, I tell the guy I need the vehicle back by the end of the day because I need to use it for work. He says thats fine, so I leave it there he tells me he will get back with me in an hour to tell me what it's wrong with the car. Well after waiting 2 hours I decide to call to find out what it's wrong with the vehicle he tells me one of the AC units the motor is blown, and needs a new part. He tried to get me a part for the vehicle but the "Parts" department was closed so he will have to check back. After finding this out I told him I will come pick up the vehicle and Ill think about it. I hung up the phone find out the telephone number to the parts department that he was claiming he called and I managed to get the part I needed. After coming back to the Ford Dealer i asked him how much it would cost to fix the problem if I bought in the part. He tells me its 3 hours of labor at $130 per hour. I'm not mechanic but growing up in a family where your dad knows how to take an engine apart and put it back together, I've learned a few things, and I know it shouldn't take more than 1 hour top 1 hour and half to fix the problem. So after he told me it would cost me another $360 Plus the part to fix the issue I decided to take it to another mechanic who is NOT a dealership, after looking at the vehicle he turns the AC on and moves the switch to a little more than half way and the second unit that KC told me is bad turns on! WOW! REALLY? I mean I took this vehicle to a DEALERSHIP! They're suppose to be professionals I'm paying top dollar to fix my problem and not only they took my $99 but they also misinformed me! I will never go back to this place again! You're better off going to a Mechanic that isn't dealership they will probably know more than the dealership and save you lots of money! read more

I can't express how awesome the Service Advisor Kayla Rivera is. After not working for 6 months, I was on my way to the first day at a new job when my check engine light came back on (a few days after Surprise Ford supposedly fixed it; see other review). As unlucky as the situation was, I got sooooo lucky that she was the one to answer when I called. She got me in immediately, got a mechanic to look at my car the same day AND got me a car to use while waiting for mine to get fixed. She calls me with updates almost daily so I know the status of my car repair and she has gone out of her way to make sure I am not charged for the rental since my car is under warranty. She is even trying to get me a refund on the rental I had to get when my car was at Surprise Ford! She goes above and beyond without being asked. I have been a loyal mustang purchaser for my last 4 cars but after my experience at Surprise Ford, I was never going to buy from Ford again but Kayla has changed my mind. Let me begin by saying it is no wonder this dealership only has two stars! In the middle of May 2021 I sold a vehicle that I had purchased from Camelback Ford. At the time of purchase (several years prior )I had issues with the finance company performing their responsibilities which caused an issue for us on a trade in vehicle. That should have been an indication to me how it would go when I needed them to process the cancellation on an extended warranty we purchased. It took Taylor close to two weeks to send the promised cancellation form. It took me several phone calls to get eventually get the form. I submitted the form to Patricia on 6/7/21 who stated she received the form and would process it. More than two weeks later I put in several phone calls to Patricia to follow up on the status with no return phone call. I then put in multiple other phone messages for anyone in the finance department to return my call to no avail. On June 29th I had another phone call of mine answered by Taylor who was very unwilling to assist me at all. His repeated response to me was "once we submit to MPP it is out of our hands". Not once did he offer to ensure it was in fact submitted to MPP. Finally, after speaking to the receptionist again, she provided me the direct phone # to MPP (the company the extended warranty was sold through). After a phone call to MPP this morning (6/30/21) I was told they never received my cancellation form!! This dealership offers the very worst customer service I have EVER seen!! read more

The average two-star rating for this business seems in line with my own experience. My story is as follows: last week I went to get repair work done on my 2013 Ford Focus to get it ready to give to my daughter for her graduation. I wanted it in as "like-new" condition as possible for a vehicle that was five years old with 74,000 miles on it. Several things were done to my satisfaction. The air flow to an air conditioning vent was restored, and the reservoir to the windshield cleaning fluid was returned to working order. The estimate for the replacement of a beauty ring around the passenger side foglight was $137, close to double ($75, including labor) what was quoted for the same Ford part at an honest body shop in Scottsdale. Other mechanical work was recommended (e.g., replacement of front brake pads and the bushings in the lower control arms), but an independent mechanic (Rob Baker in Tempe) did the exact same work for $400 less. My biggest beef pertains to the detail work. The car came out looking shiny and new--except for the appearance of a new crack and chips in the paint on the front bumper and a black plastic piece that was loose when it hadn't been before. Ford tried to pass this sudden mar off as due to previous damage, but the service advisor, Steve Osorio, honestly acknowledged that there was no chipped paint before the detail work was done (otherwise he'd have noted it when I first came in), and, well, now there is. That is irrefutable. Someone in the body shop was ever-so-kind as to shoot the crack and chip with some touch-up paint, but it still looks uglier than when I brought it in, and any sanding or application of bondo or any other auto repair product is entirely up to me, the paying customer. The moral of the story is one I'm sure you've heard a thousand times before. Always choose an honest, independent mechanic and body shop over a dealership. I hope my one-star sinks the evaluation of this business just a fraction lower. (In their defense, none of the employees was rude. Everyone was just very corporate. The company is even cheap with the coffee in the "customer service" waiting room. It doesn't offer the option of half-and-half instead of that godawful instant "whitener," let alone does it make any fresh fruit available. I'd be more forgiving of this disregard if Ford was in any way a bargain. As it is, this begrudging selection of refreshments speaks volumes about the corporation's values and attitude in regard to its customers.) read more

In regards to the answer to my review. First I do not like being called a liar, when in fact your post was 90% untrue. 1. My car was not brought to your dealership from another repair shop. It was picked up by Alstate towing at my home and to taken to the service dept at the after hours drop off. 2. You left a message on my phone, which I have saved, that there were codes then you said the battery was dead, BUT you charged it and it was okay. So what did the codes say? Now when I went to talk in person about my car you said the car would not start, it was dead, couldn't get any codes and that Battery Acid had leaked into "some" wires and caused the whole system to fail. 3. There were NO wires melted by battery acid. You take me for a fool, apparently so because this is the ridiculous lie you told me. 4. At no time did any one say anything about storage fees, until I went to get my car. Which I did not get until a few days later because you had not put the engine parts and battery back together, which were dirty and sitting on the front seat of the car. When I went back, the parts were back on. I got an invoice that says Nothing, Zero about any storage fees. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR A RECALL! It was clear your business did not want to work my car and had no intention of doing any work or Recall on it. By Law Ford Dealers are required to do all recall work in a timely manner, according to NHTSA. read more

HORRIBLE customer service: Lying, mismanaging, empty promises, NO integrity. We had a different salesman, financier, customer service representative every single time we stopped by or called and no one would return our phone calls. When we went to pick up our truck - they made us wait for FOUR hours in a building with no air conditioning, with our children, while they brought it from the back lot. After we brought our truck home, we found that not only had they NOT done the repairs, but it wasn't safe to drive and we had to put in an additional $3K into it. We are still trying to get compensated for all of that. I don't expect them to lift a finger. STAY AWAY!!! read more

My wife and I had a terrible buying experience here, then 2 weeks later they called and said the finance manager was fired the day after we bought the car and he messed our deal up, so they couldn't approve it. We were brought back in and it had to change drastically for us to keep the car. Meanwhile they had no clue where my trade in was if I wanted to go back to it. Then we had our first service there, absolutely terrible. Took 4 hours for just and oil change when the estimated time was 1-1.5hrs. Then we had a part missing from the vehicle and we called to order and several calls led to no help. I had to walk into service to order the part. Total it took 9 weeks to order a simple body trim piece. Lastly, the staff is rude, left my wife with two kids stabbed at the dealership for 5 hours because a shuttle driver called in sick but said the car was in pieces and they couldn't let her drive home. No offer of a rental, no sales guy to run her home, nothing. I will NEVER buy a car here again, and I will NEVER get service here again. Their partner dealership in Peoria is just as bad as well. Bell Ford on off the 17hwy and Bell rd is a much better dealership and has a great service department. read more

Honestly, I would rate lower if I could. I understand that this is a business and sales is very important. However, it is equally important to provide good customer serves and making sure that the product that is being delivered is done correctly. Here is my ugly situation: I took my car in to Camelback Ford because I was having some mechanical issues as I had before. Thinking that my warranty would cover any evaluations to my car as it has from previous visits to this same dealer, after 3 or 4 days I return to pick up my car to find a bill and was never told that my warranty did not cover that evaluation. I decided to just pay the bill, right after I was told that they found the issue and it was fix. The explanation was that somebody when into my car and disconnected something in the motor that's why the car was stalling. Even though my car stays in my garage and no body drives it but me, however I believed them and drove home. As soon as I arrived home, I turned my car off and tried turning it up again but did not start. I called to tell them my situation and asked for them to send me a tow truck and was told that they don't do that. I explained that I just drove off your lot and I was told that my car would not have any issues. They still could not do anything, so I paid for my own tow truck to take my car back. Now the car is back in the shop and I was told that they will need to keep it to do a better evaluation. Do to not having a car to drive for the next couple of days to go to work I asked if there was a possibility for me to get a rental or loner car and I was told that all loners are gone and that they could maybe get a discount for a rental. I continue to ask for the loner car for the entire duration of my car being in the shop "over 2 weeks" but was never provided one, they said that the only way to get one is if the issue was related to my warranty and apparently it was not. After a week and a half, they said it was some wiring issues that had to be replaced and my warranty won't cover that. The part got order but not arrive till a week later. The end of the day there was a transmission issue and it was replaced; it was covered by my warranty. But I was never told that it was the transmission till I arrived to pick up my car, that makes me think that It was always the transmission and they just added some other issue to charge me more and more they did. As a conclusion, I don't feel that I got a good service. I feel that I got taken advantage of and that I was not given a rental car, or my car was not evaluated correctly because it was a cheaper car or maybe because of my race. Whatever it was, I know ford is a great company. I also know it is a great product, that is why I invest in it. Regardless, they should really try to take care of their clients, no matter what. If possible, I'd rate zero stars. I recently wrote that a family member was charged $15,000 for her $9,000 sticker price Ford Focus. Used. That included tax, license, gap insurance. It came with a warranty for five years/ 50,000 miles. At a 28% interest rate. The car was well below that. Fast forward a few WEEKS: The A/C went out. In Phoenix. Hot. She went to the dealership service dept. they didn't have a loaner ( as stipulated in the warranty) for over two weeks. She was told to go rent a car at personal expense. That was not financially feasible. So besides the dealership being greedy, the Service Dept is worthless! Purchased a car and it was a total nightmare and about once a month they call to see if I'm happy with my car and if I'm ready for a new upgrade. If you ask them to stop calling and you are happy with your purchase they push your number across to the next bunkum employee What brings me joy is that I warned all the employees I work with and anyone who listened how horrible my experience was and that is all you can do. I had a packaged deal to bring in my car for service but because the experience was so horrible I never want to drive near the place let alone deal with any of their employees. My last two vehicles have been Fords and I have been really impressed by their design and quality, however if you are looking for a dealership, I would recommend avoiding this one. I purchased a new F150 from them in 2012 and for the last 5 years have received at least 2 calls per month from their sales department. I gave up asking them to delete me from their calling list as they never bothered to do so even though I haven't lived in Arizona for the last 4 years. Lately the caller insists that they are responding to a query I made. If you purchase a vehicle from here, be prepared for years of unsolicited harassment. read more

I have been Looking for a cargo van for over a year. I heard a number of advertisements for the dealership on Sunday morning so I checked their inventory. It happens they had the perfect vehicle. Called told them of previous credit issues and they believed they could get the deal done. Saw the van, perfect for my needs so we went to work out a deal. Came back very high and I was a bit upset. So the internet director Ken Dryden, arrived and explained some of my issues and the difficulties he might encounter in getting it financed. Ken came up with a deal and a strategy that would work for both of us and I drove the van home. Ken treated me with respect and explained issues in great detail.
