No evaluation. No diagnosis. Only 3 said they could fix it of which they both ended up flaking out or couldn't find the parts and gave up. Then #12, Jose Melgoza from Supreme Comfort I found on a next door referral, came out the same day after his job, did a free diagnostic at 5:30pm and estimated repair around 2k and scheduled me his next available opening. Jose and his assistant spent 4-5 hours on it and had it up and running within 24 hours and charged me $1800 dollars and it's been a week and working perfect. Now, he did say it is unknown how long an 18 year old Trane repair would last and gave me the option for a new unit, but Jose gave me options and was so open and fair and does exceptional competent work that no other HVAC company could repair or wanted to even bother as they mostly want to cash in on the full replacement. Jose will be installing my new HVAC when the day comes! Technician came out for a service call, then stated that office would call to reschedule for additional service. Office never called and two days later a technician randomly shows up unscheduled without being notified. Nobody was home. Their office called a week later to send invoice but had all the incorrect information. Then sent over invoice and charged for second visit that never happened (because they did not call us to schedule the security nd appointment). Now let's talk about the office employee. Candace was extremely rude and unprofessional overall then proceeded to hang up on me during conversation. Then when we called back and asked for a supervisor was placed on hold and hung up again. Calling a third time and asking Candace why she hung up she laughed and proceeded to say "you're mistaken. The phone call was complete."Needless to say, they also overcharged for work that was not actually done. when you try to use a small family on business compared to the big name companies, this is how you're treated. There is no accountability. I highly recommend you Do Not use Steve's ultimate air unless you want Candace to hang up on you and charge for services that did not happen.

For 8 years I had hired a friend company to service my new AC…read more This year, when I called to have a yearly service I was told that such wad not needed yearly but only every several years. 2 weeks ago, my AC was not working, I was told by my friends company that it was probably just a filter needing changing. I knew it was more. I had read about ALIEN Air online so I contacted this company and they fit me in the next day after I had told them I could not wait 2 days for an opening. I am so very glad I tried a new family owned service. Right off the bat he showed me that my wires were fried. He got the AC cooling but needed to reschedule a in a week to fix other serious issues that he had no time for. When he returned, he was on my roof for over 3 hours. My drain was so plugged up and coils filthy that it required serious work. This AC was new in 2018! I had had yearly service without fail. I will NEVER GO BACK to the other company as He FAIMED to properly service my new AC! I also required a fan to be replaced...my freon was so low it too needed replenishing. Chris, the owner worked with another technician and kept me abreast with video photos showing the entire work needing done. I am so very impressed, grateful to have switched to this Company. I am 75, live alone, unable with my 4 dogs, AFIB and a broken leg to have dealt with 110 weather that week. I am also so disappointed to find that a friend took yearly payments & Never provided even a basic service as requested to make sure my AC never failed to cool my home. I have NEVER PREFERED LOW PRICE OVER QUALITY WORK. I highly recommend Chris and his Company ALIEN AC because he believes in proper preventative service of ALL AC units! He would prefer being on a roof checking out and securing all the bells and whistles providing preventitavine safeguards in the AZwinter over a "devil's armpit" major repair in the worst of AZ summer heat. I will never fail to follow his advice and have a REAL PREVENTATIVE SERVICE SCHEDULED. My friend was no friend afterall, as I learned from this experience! I have already scheduled my next maintainence check with Alien AC for early 2026!

Guy comes out, never get on roof, never looks at anything, just talks, tell me he's pretty sure it's a capacitor so I said if that all it is I will fix it. He says pay $85. I asked aren't you going to look at anything, he says I'm pretty sure it's a capacitor. I said you should go look for the service charge of $85. He tells us: "The $85 is just to look at my pretty face, if I go up on the roof, is $195 per hour with a 1 hour minimum." I paid him for nothing, and we were supposed to get a quote. One week later, my wife calls his office manager. The office manager said he told her your husband said he would fix it, she said how could he fix it with no diagnosis by your "technician" and where is my quote. The office manager, Bobby said oh, it's right here on my desk, I will send it. Several days since and still no quote. Makes no difference. I wouldn't do business with these people if this were hell and they were the only ice cube vendor. Making it even worse a good friend recommended them because he knew he retired owner, whose son took over the business. I guess the son pays no attention. There was no service, no quality, and zero value. The only positive thing is he was on-time. This is easily a $20-30K job they pissed away.

When we purchased our Phoenix home in December 2016, we had a new AC unit installed by Rescue One…read moreAir. We also enrolled in their Preventative Maintenance Program, which included a 27-point spring tune-up and a 32-point fall tune-up. We faithfully paid for and completed these twice-yearly maintenance visits from 2017 through 2025. On June 2, 2025, Rescue One Air performed one of our scheduled tune-ups. At the time, the unit was making a loud squealing noise. The technician completed the inspection covered under our maintenance plan and told us he found no concerns with the unit or the attic equipment. He needed additional parts to fix the squealing issue, so a follow-up appointment was scheduled for June 5, when the repair was completed. On the morning of June 7, 2025, our master bedroom closet ceiling caved in. The drywall and insulation were soaked and moldy, and water continued dripping from the attic. I immediately called Rescue One Air, and they sent a technician within about two hours. The technician showed me a PVC pipe from the attic AC equipment that had no glue or sealant on the connection. He explained that the pipe had not been properly sealed and that it had been slowly leaking over time until the water-soaked insulation became heavy enough for the ceiling to collapse. After paying for Rescue One's maintenance program for nine years--and having the attic equipment inspected twice a year--we were shocked that this had never been identified. The technician told us the issue was Rescue One's responsibility, helped arrange for a remediation company to begin the cleanup and dry-out process, gave us his supervisor's email, and told us the company would reimburse our $1,000 homeowners insurance deductible. That never happened. The damage required insurance, professional remediation, ceiling replacement, insulation replacement, and weeks of repairs. After the repairs were completed, I left multiple voicemail messages and sent numerous emails. Rescue One Air never returned a single call or email. We paid for nine years of preventative maintenance because we believed it would help prevent exactly this kind of expensive property damage. Instead, after a ceiling collapse and significant water damage that their own technician said stemmed from an improperly sealed AC pipe, Rescue One stopped communicating with us entirely. That's what has been the most disappointing part of this experience.

I am surprised at the amount of great reviews for this company. My experience was the complete…read moreopposite. I called Cool Zone because they were authorized to perform warranty repairs on my ac system. The tech found that the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. He confirmed the unit was still under a parts warranty so my cost would be the labor and new freon that was recommended. He quoted $3,300 for 4 hours of labor! Then said if i purchased a maintenance plan that covered 2 visits for both of my units it would be cheaper at just under $3,100. What? That doesn't make sense. You Buy a service plan and pay less ?!! I expect that the "maintenance" is not intended to take care of the units but to give them 2 more opportunities to overcharge for additional services. I was told they would check availability of the compressor and his office would call me the next day. I was charged a $89 diagnostic fee. I told him his office told me the fee would be waived for repairs over $300. It was obvious to me that he had no intention of sharing this policy with me and said he would discount the repair bill after the work was done. I heard nothing more from them. It has been 2 days. After looking into his price I was told by 2 different companies that the quote was at the high end of the range for a unit that was NOT under warranty. I did not share this quote with either of these companies until after they priced the repair. Both told me the same thing and both quotes were competitive. A different factory authorized business is repairing the unit including line set cleaning and new refrigerant for $1,800. This is a predatory business overcharging people that are stuck in the AZ heat with a broken ac unit. They say a sucker is born every minute. Dont be a sucker! Stay away.
