Sweet indulgence - banoffee
Jenna G.

It does what it says on the box - chicken! Shockingly enough you can find several different STYLES of chicken here too - wings, wraps, rolls, burgers, EVEN *gasp* in salad! In all seriousness though the rotisserie style cooking is great - much healthier than fried and the chicken is tender and juicy in everything I've had it in. The Buffalo burger is great, and my friends got a wrap and another burger and loved them too. The banoffee and ice cream was a great way to satisfy the sweet tooth afterwards as well! We went on a Saturday around 1:30 and it was relatively quiet but a few groups rolled in as we ate. Good music playing the whole time anyway so it didn't seem sleepy or slow even when we were some of the only ones there. Great long tables, picnic-style, so would be awesome for a big group at lunchtime! Doesn't break the bank either. However, the waitress seemed a little oblivious and wasn't very attentive, we had to call her over several times to refill water and get the bill. All in all a great little place, the food is nice, and it's pretty guilt-free since it's just chicken and not the fast-food stuff that just oozes grease. Tastes great, good portion sizes in general (although the salad on my plate was LAUGHABLY small), decent prices.

Awesome, yummy menu showing off all things Chicken to all its glory. I've been here few times for lunch, had the chicken wrap and recently had the chicken fillet burger and it was tops! Staff are friendly and spot is perfect for the quick food turnaround within the lunch hour! Have also had delivery and food arrived hot and still fresh. Introduced my husband recently and he is now a massive fan!

If you like chicken, you will love this place! The quality is perfect, I always take the chicken wrap but the tenders and the burgers look very good! The fries are good, I love the sweet potatoes fries even better. The only thing, sometimes it could be very busy and so a little slow but it worth!!

This place does nice chicken! I went here in a party of 3 and the food was lovely. I got a half chicken, they got wings and a quarter chicken. The sides are very tasty too, I went for the carrot and parsnip mash (delish) and tried some of their chips (also good). All in all, a good meal! The staff were also very nice to us there. And in general the place had a nice ambience. A warning though: a quarter of a chicken is not enough for a meal. Go for a half chicken (€8) at the least. Their wings are spicy and tasty and fairly cheap (€7 per dozen) The layout of the place is very canteen-esque, with plain wooden benches and tables, there are no backs to the benches, so that may rule some people out. It's not a place you'd go for a formal meal. And finally, no one in my party ordered a burger, but our neighbours did and they looked really really nice! If you do order a burger here, let me know how it was?

Camden Rotisserie is a restaurant on Camden street that's specialty is chicken. I was eager to try it as I love all things chicken. I went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy. The layout of the restaurant is very relaxed- there are 3 or 4 long benches so they can accommodate both big and small groups easily. There was no wait and we got seated instantly. There is a lovely atmosphere with dim candle-lighting. There is such a big selection on the menu that I didn't know what to choose. I went for the wings and the sweet potato fries- The buffalo wings were deliciously hot with plenty of sauce. The sweet potato fries were grand but a bit soggy towards the end. The hand cut fries may have been the better option. My friend got half a rotisserie chicken with mashed potato- choosing BBQ sauce as the topping (options were gravy, piri piri and BBQ). She said the chicken was so succulent and the nicest she's ever had in a restaurant in fact. The mashed potato was average- it needed more butter and milk I think. Overall we both enjoyed the food a lot- and the fact that it was so reasonably priced contributed to this. The waiters were notably nice, friendly and really helpful- there was never a moment when they weren't in plain sight. They serve beer and wine as well- so I would definitely recommend this place to go out for a meal with your pals, or even for a cheap and cheerful family dinner.

If you want a good meal here, don't go thinking about calories or waist-to-hip ratio or how many burpees you need to do to burn it all off! I made the mistake of doing so and ordered the butterfly chicken breast - it was dry and bland... I had to douse it with ketchup and mayo to make it edible, which defeated the purpose of trying to eat healthy in the first place. I looked at Mikey in despair and jealousy as he happily chomped down on his juicy burger - he did let me have a tiny bite of it just to let me know what I was missing. I also managed to steal one puny onion ring from him. Stingy bastard. So there you go - you can all learn from my mistake - order the burger, go for the fries, indulge in the wings... if it's not dripping or a tad oily, you made a mistake. *Timmy sad and not wiggling*

Stopped in for lunch the other day, I have always walked past but never actually had the opportunity to give here a go...I am so glad I did! The sweet potato fries, so so so good, I ended up getting a chicken wrap, it was good but I had serious food envy when I checked out my friend chicken burger...definitely going back soon to order that bad boy...oh and more sweet potato fries! YUM I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, not too keen on the sharing benches but it wouldn't stop me returning.

Love chicken? Than this is you! Opened its door just 2 days ago, and it's full already! Very friendly people The chicken tasted yummy! Next to it I tried their home cut fries, just as good!

The best chicken wings in Dublin!

I work just around the corner on Harcourt Street and this place is one of my regulars. The wings are amazzzing and are served up by the dozen which makes for an epic feast! If you think you can handle the spice go for the Buffalo wings otherwise its probably safer to stick to BBQ. I'd recommend trying their sweet potato fries as well - crispy & delicious :)

There's an array of tasty variations on our beloved poultry in this nice establishment, and I opted for the pulled chicken sambo, which was full of flavour, drowning in cheese & bbq, all on a damn, nice bun. My buddy got the avocado chicken wrap, which I was assured was also yummy. And the sweet potato fries?! Best ever. The place itself is hipster benches but is still very cosy; there's plenty of veggie and healthy options and feeling lazy? They even deliver. The staff were beyond friendly and the cost was pretty reasonable.

My desert, u have to treat yourself :) sometimes :)

Now this is one of my favourite place in Dublin. Amazing food, beautiful , polite staff, great food. Brilliant price, nice design. I have never been here for 2 years, and I think I missed a lot. Love it . I am coming here soon with my fiancé and friends :) Thank you :)

I was greatly surprised to find an authentic BBQ joint in Dublin, but here you have it. Don't miss…read morethis place if you are craving smoky meats, creamy Mac 'n Cheese, and sweet & savory sauces. We purchased the platter which included Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork and Wings. Came with two sides, so I had to try the Mac n' Cheese and Baked Beans and it also included fresh dinner rolls. Ribs - smokey and tender. I would love to go back during the lunch rush when they come out fresh, but since we were there around 20:00, they had been sitting for a while. But even though they had been sitting, they were still amazing. They were glazed perfectly, and the tender, juicy meat was amazing. Some would say "fall of the bone" are the best, but that just means they are overcooked. These ribs had just the right amount of tenderness. So amazing. Brisket - also amazing. Had a perfect smoke ring, and was tender and juicy. The slices had the perfect pull, and were so deliscious. Pulled Pork - tender, juicy and succulent. Not mushy as sometimes can happen if it sits too long. This pork was simply amazing. Smokey, moist and perfect. I added some of the BBQ sauce, and it was simply deliscious. Chicken wings - cooked to perfection. Also asked for them to be dry so that we could try the different sauces. So tender and juicy. Mac n' Cheese - sometimes places will have a big pan and will just scoop it out onto the plate. Not here at Smonin' Bones. They make it fressh and put it into a dish, add some extra cheese on top and then broil it. So yummy. I could have eaten a lot more of it. Baked Beans - probably my least favorite of the night. The beans were a little under-done, so they had a little bit of a crunch. But the flavor was good. Keep working on that. Overall a wonderful, delightful surprise.

Menu has a good selection of Irish dishes from seafood chowder up to lamb stew and pies. We ordered the potato soup, seafood chowder, 'banjo' burger with onion rings. The soups arrived first and the seafood chowder was loaded with huge pieces of fish, potatoes (not many) with a creamy rich base. Flavor was incredible and in itself a full meal. Served in a large crock style bowl. The potato soup was minus any whole potatoes. It was a rich creamy base with plenty of flavor and very hearty. The burger was really a double cheeseburger with plenty of cheese, grilled onions, what appeared to be a mayonnaise based sauce on a soft hamburger roll. Really tall enough that it was tough getting your mouth around it. Very well seasoned burgers and the onions were a nice touch. The onion rings were huge and had a very light batter on them. They served in a metal bowl to keep them hot. For dessert the apple crumble was ordered which was served in a large dish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This could have been warmer but still was good.. The 5 star rating is for the chowder as it outshone the rest of the meal although the burger was definitely a close second. Definitely will return to try other dishes when we come back to the city.

The meat and veggies were plentiful, the portion generous, and it was tasty enough but maybe on the bland side? It was served with a side of braised red cabbage which we really liked: sweet but not sour like pickled cabbage. And house-made brown stout bread, also very good. The wife had a Guinness and I, thinking it too cliché to order Guinness as a tourist in Ireland, tried a different stout whose name I've forgotten from the ample selection. But comparing the two, so much better! The menu offers a wide variety of traditional Irish dishes, more than most of the similar pubs in the area. As well as the other expected pub type food: sandwiches, burgers, etc. As for desserts, if we were hungrier, the wife might have ordered the Irish Whiskey Bread & Butter Pudding. The hubby would probably get his dessert later, as the selection was limited and neither that nor the Apple Crumble appealed. Sitting at the bar we had a more personalized experience than were we at a table. The bartender offered to take a photo of me behind the bar which I of course accepted. We made the right choice in coming here.

The meal was divine. The restaurant appeared to be a cross between a steakhouse and an Irish pub overing a diverse menu. The restaurant was dark and homey. The staff was attentive and friendly. Such a change from the last experience a year ago…read more We had 8:30 PM reservations. Arrived around 8:10 and were told to wait at the bar. No problem, it's NYE, we can wait for out booked time. Less than 5 minutes later we were lead to a table, not even time to order a drink! We shared everything. Ordered cocktails to begin with. They were ok, two different old fashioned drinks. We tried to order bone marrow, scallops, tuna tataki and a Caesar salad as starters. They were already out of the bone marrow and scallops. It's a holiday, you know there are reservations... what?! Poor management and planning!! They recommended the lamb kidneys... never had them before, super gross. I'll never do that again. It smelled like urine! We ordered the burger and 14 oz sirloin to share, medium rare on the steak. Polenta fries, and mashed potatoes. The polenta fries were outstanding! The burger was delicious! Smokey flavor, it was great. It came with huge steak fries, I prefer shoestring. The steak was not tender. Had a better steak sandwich at the Morrison for lunch. All in all, I will not be going back nor recommending this place. The wine I ordered never arrived, our water was never refilled. In fact, after the food arrived, we never saw anyone again!! When the check came with an obligatory 12.5% tip I missed it and paid. Once I noticed, I flipped out!! This was the worst service ever!! I double check tipping culture in Ireland before I complain. 10% is good for good service and bad service is ok to leave zero tip. So I asked for it back. They gave me credit for the tip but not the tax on tip. Unimpressed. Won't go again.
