It was amazing!! The weird (but super cool ) location they had on top of a roof, I had to enter a pub and take the stairs to find it :D The whole setup of making your own burger, choosing the toppings and the sides was cool. The interior was super chill with outdoor lighting, doors on the walls tilting, colorful furniture. And the food was super good!! And nice and relaxed people that worked there :) Really my kind of place

Ok maybe not the best pic but this was sooooooo good

Not bad. Not bad at all. Was it a total Wow moment? Hmmmmm not far off! Things I like: - The star of the show - the burger. Proper meaty and juicy, excellent quality with a homemade feel to it - Free toppings - yes. The sautéed mushrooms are a fave, throw a few jalapeños on there, and some Wow sauce. You've got yourself something special. - The bun is perfect. Nice soft brioche bun that you can squish down around it so it doesn't go drippin all over you - Hot staff. There I've said it. Soz not soz. - The fries - hand cut, still with a little skin on, crispy; in a word, perfect. - The price. Great value, really. Things I don't love: - The cheese is that American type cheese that kinda disintegrates into nothing when it's cooked, so you won't really get too much of a bang a cheese off this as it will have morphed entirely into the meat. I'm a cheese fiend so I'd prefer a more robust type! - The surroundings are a bit manky. I know that's the Workman's thing, but still. Kinda mank!

The best burger I have ever eaten in the history of me eating burgers which is quite a tumultuous history. €6 for a cheeseburger which tastes like crack. Brioche bun. OM NOM nom You can get anything you want on the burger and it does not cost any extra which is amazing. The burger is huge. Situated in the smoking area in the Workman's it's still a smoking area. So be mindful of that. For the cold and for smoke. You can sit inside instead and eat. But I like the atmosphere of it outside. It is covered so you wont get lashed on. Fries available in regular, chilli and garlic butter. You can order a pint with you food [at the first food truck] and it's done fairly quickly. They call out your number and you pick up your order from the second truck. Like I ate this burger and all I could think was WOW. Hence the name. Orgasm burger probably didn't sound quite right. But I am pretty sure that's what I had when I ate it.

Finally, a contender to Bunsen!! A lot of people compare this place to Bunsen, and considering I use that as a benchmark for burgers in the city, too, I can respect it. But, this is a very different style of burger, that deserves to be appreciated on it's own. I would say this and Bunsen are my top picks for burgers, but it would depend on my mood which I'd choose. This burger is a little more greasy, but in the most delicious, street food kind of way. The burger is two thin patties stacked, with melty American cheese in between, and a wonderful, fluffy brioche type bun! All toppings are free which is awesome. The grilled onions are tender and perfect. Also, the crispy onion bits: yessss! Finally! I've been on the hunt for good onion rings for so long, and these tick all the marks. The perfect crispy coating! Tender onions! Can't wait to try the fries and a shake next time. It's in a weird spot, you'll see the Wowburger sign outside another restaurant, which you have to walk through and up the stairs, then you'll find it tucked away on the top level. It was covered when we went, so the temperature was just fine, but apparently it's usually open air. Staff is very nice and friendly, service was quick but it was fairly empty when we went. So if you want some serious comfort food, come here. If you're feeling like a burger you want cooked to temperature, go to Bunsen. That is the motto I will be living by when I'm in the mood for a burger. They are both delicious in their own way, just two very different styles!

Wow. Can't rave about this place enough. Seriously, after the first time I had it I immediately wanted to go back. I could live here. Burgers are not the gourmet kind, so if that's what you're into this place might be a bit of a disappointment. Wowburger is all about the flavor, an a bit of a throwback food truck atmosphere that really just enhances the experience. It's a simplistic approach to burgers: Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Bacon Cheeseburger and your choice of condiments. Unlimited condiments, including delicious secret sauce.Did I mention the bun is also incredible? And the meat is amazing, you get two thin burgers with melted cheese (because who doesn't order cheese, right?) If this review sounds disjointed, it's because I'm thinking about going back there now. The choices of sides are just as narrow, but just as delicious too. The fries are great, the garlic fries are greater, the onion bits are outstanding and the chilli fries are a delicious meal on their own. It's a bit hard to find: you have to go into the Bison Bar and up the stairs, but the staff is friendly enough to guide you the right away. You should pay them a visit today.

Ok, so the question everyone's wondering is whether Wowburger is as good as Bunsen. Well, to be honest, it's not, but it's still pretty damn good. They're going for a completely different style here - it's not your gourmet medium rare ground sirloin 2-inch-thick towering patty with brioche bun. This is retro burger shack style, with tasty thin patties and super soft squishy buns. The mini cheeseburger (€4.95) was more than enough for me, but if you have a larger appetite, the "normal" size comes with 2 patties for €5.95 and that should be plenty for anyone. After that, all additional toppings and sauces are free, so you can't beat that for value. I got grilled mushrooms, fresh jalapenos and Wowburger sauce on mine and it totally just hit the spot. The garlic butter fries are something interesting and different too. I don't know if I'd order them again, though... soaking fries with butter is maybe just a bit too much in the cardiac arrest zone for me. One of the cons is that the entire seating area is outside, which also doubles as the smoking area for Workmans Club, so if you're there during the club hours, it can be quite smoky. With winter upon us, I think I'll be getting my burgers to go for the next while anyhow.

It's hard to describe a burger without comparing it to bunsen. They are just different, the bacon and the ingredientes here are as good as the other, the garlic fries are pretty good. The atmosphere is way different and waiting time are way lower. Different styles, for different moods.

Going to keep this short and simple. This place is a serious contender, stop reading this and go get a burger. (It will get 5 stars on a second visit if it's as good when it's busy)

I cannot recommend Wow Burger enough, the burgers are delicious! I had the cheeseburger with wow burger sauce, grilled mushrooms and pickles (all the toppings are free!) and some fries. The burger was delicious - cooked perfectly and full of flavour and the fries were just as good. The service is great, the food is delicious and the location is perfect - If you're tired of Bunsen, Wow Burger will sort you out!

Well what a find! Located in the Workmans bar on the Quays, this feels like a bit of a strange one when you go in. Normally I've had a few beers when I go into this place and when sober its a little bit grungy and dirty! The burger stall was located in the indoor/outdoor section upstairs, and it was strange, as it was raining, the roof was off, so I was getting wet, whilst ordering my burger, indoors....! Anywho..... the choice is simple, burger, cheese, bacon and a whole host of free toppings. Yes free! Fries again a number of choices, plain, garlic butter and chilli. Oh the decision... In the end I opted for the mini cheeseburger (mini just means it has one burger rather than two), and then went with chilli fried (probably because my friend was having the garlic so could try everything!) Everything cooked fresh to order but still didnt have to wait more than 5-10 minutes. Served in cool little boxes and then we could move anywhere in the place. So, what was the verdict. The burgers were delish! Quite a small thin burger which was really tasty on a lovely roll. The added bonus of the toppings made this great for me, threw in some raw onions and jalopenos to give some real spice. The fries were what made this place for me though. A great slathering of salt and chilli and cheese and sauce all over them made them sooo mouthwatering. The garlic butter fries were also amazing, but strangely enough don't think I could eat a whole box of them. As a burger place this is always going to get comparisons to others, namely Bunsen and my opinion the actual meat itself not as good as that in Bunsen, but everything else was better. And a steal. Burger, fries and a beer for 13e. I'll be back! (Hopefully when the roof is closed......)

quantity burgers and chips. The menu is simple and American-style, burgers, chips and milkshakes. The place is a little bit tricky to find as it is on the upper stairs of the Workman's Club. The garlic fries are bomb, fries covered in rich garlic butter. Chilli fries are also very excellent. All toppings are free to build your personalised burger, juicy meat, melting cheese accompanied with nice buns. The ambience is relaxing and chilled , exactly the place for you and friends to pop in for a nice burger feast after work and then have a cheeky drink

My cheeseburger with jalapeños and pickles. That's right, they have pickles!

Wow is right. Gave this place a try with some friends last night and I hate to say it, but it's up there with Bunsen. It's located upstairs inside Bison BBQ so a few of us grabbed seats while the others placed our order. The menu includes the burger, a few kinds of fries, milkshakes, and a few beers on tap. For €9 I got the cheeseburger with jalapeños, pickles, lettuce, tomato and their Wow sauce; along with an order of their garlic butter fries. The burger was simple and delicious and the fries were just sinful. Loved every bite and will return soon.

During our research before we left we saw a video talking about Bunsen. Just seeing the high quality of the ingredients made it one of our must try stops in Dublin. As we do when traveling, we start and end the day eating throughout the day. We popped into Bunsen to finally try the legendary burger around 4:30 pm. Because we were there at such an odd hour, we were the only people there. When you visit Ireland, the pub culture is real and most pubs start to get quite busy around 5:30 pm. Since Bunsen isn't a pub and wasn't located in a particularly touristy area , it didn't surprise me they were empty at that time of day. What stuck out the most at first was the super friendly service right from the door. We were sat at a small banquet of tables against the wall and checked out the menu from QR code link on the table. We were there for their original burger so that is what we ordered. No sides and water to drink. I couldn't be filling up too much yet. It was pretty early after all and we had a lot of places to stop yet. The menu isn't huge. They focus on doing one thing well and keep it at that. I like a restaurant that doesn't try to be everything. Our burger came out within 10 min and it was juicy, hot and fresh. Presented beautifully wrapped. We shared this one burger because, we knew we had lots of food to eat later. Immediately after eating the last bite I wanted to order another. It was really that good. Such perfection! This will be the burger I compare all others in Ireland to.

Casual decor, open kitchen and beer fridge, lighting was on the dim side. Had a Pitburger pilsner beer. Although a bottle beer, it was very crisp, malty, clean, and a bit sweet, very suitable summer drink. Also had a Southern fried chicken burger. Chicken was fried very nicely, the crust was crispy but not overly hard, inside was juicy and piping hot fiber, nicely seasoned with a bit of spices, went very well wtih the fresh veggies and sauce in the burger. The buns were soft and warm, though I might want it toasted a bit more. Also the price might be slightly on the high side (€11.95) for a standard size burger. Nonetheless, taste matters the most.

With vegetarians and other conservative eaters in our party, we found this place a godsend for a midafternoon pre-Trinity-College-sightseeing meal. Actually, it's pretty good on its own merits. I've eaten at other Counters and I like the setup...but there are too many choices! Patty, bun, cheese, toppings, and sauce. So many options! But if you enjoy culinary creativity and/or control, you will not go wrong here. The sides are good too, except that they were out of fried pickles. Sad face. We enjoyed regular fries, sweet potato fries, and grilled vegetables. Everyone enjoyed their burgers, so the meal was a success. Ironically, The Counter has table service, so it's not quite as quick as you might hope. But their sodas are from a fountain (yay, American style) so you can get refills. Unfortunately the rest of the meal was overrun with immense amounts of oil. My burger bun arrived. It was the color yellow and the consistency of a soggy sponge. That means somebody dipped it in Golden-Flo cooking oil before crisping it back up. Yes, it tastes delightful...the same way deep-fried Twinkies taste delightful. The guilt of eating it manages to cancel out the enjoyment. Also ruined by oil were the onion STRINGS. Confession: I thought they were onion rings. With just an 'R'. I was duped and disappointed when the STRings arrived looking all skinny and limp. Sure, they were promisingly covered in tasty batter...but as soon as I grabbed the first one, the underneath strings crunched the pile, which subsequently disintegrated into an oily pile of fried dough and stringy onion film on the plate. Not cool. The oil-to-food ratio ended up leaving me with hours of tummy feelings the equivalent to a brick buried in a pit thrown into a black hole. Had to take a dinner coma nap on the couch when I got home.
