Believe the one star reviews. I wish we had done more research before we let them in our house. We had just moved in and discovered the toilet in guest bathroom needed to be resealed. We wanted to use a local company that was close. Camarillo plumbing sounded like a good option, not far away and many years in business. The man worked less than one hour, had necessary equipment in his truck (sealant and caulking) so there were no special tools and nothing was functionally wrong with the toilet. He charged $2,000. This happened in September of 2024 but I finally looked up the charge and wanted to make sure I got the correct business before I posted this. We are seniors with a limited income which, imo, makes this an unconscionable move on his part. I can just scream when I remember and that's why it has take me such a long time to complete this review. I can only imagine that he will reap the rewards of his lack of integrity. We have since found a real plumber who has a moral compass in addition to being skilled. So, do not use this business. read more

The crew from Camarillo Plumbing was excellent and I'm happy to write this recommendation for them. I needed the drain pipe below a toilet repaired which required the concrete it was set in to be removed. John, Antonio and Guillermo, went above and beyond the call of duty, closing themselves into my tiny bath room with a jackhammer for hours to get that job done. The noise for them must've been deafening for them, but not bad at all for me. They did the job beautifully and for the price quoted. Would definitely use them again. read more

This is a little late, but needed to be done. Several weeks ago our 20+ year old Reverse Osmosis water filter system decided to call it quicks. We called and within a very short time, Ramiro came to the house. He diagnosed the problem and offered several solutions. We chose to have a new system installed. He managed to clean up the piping mess from the prior install and had us up and running in short order. Ramiro was very professional and knowledgeable about his craft. They didn't try hide their charge but gave the choice of paying $49 for giving the estimate or paying $474.50 for what took close to half an hour (actual work versus going in and out and away for a simple cord). I discovered my water heater was leaking the day after Christmas, a Camarillo Plumbing technician (Arturo) came out within 30 minutes, was very professional, very knowledgeable, and very patient, explaining (and demonstrating) the state of the stuck and corroded supply valves (over 20 yrs old) in addition to explaining the safety and energy features of the newer water heaters, and current code requirements. Grossly overpriced. They replaced two shower-faucet catridges, and spent less than 90 minutes. The cost - $1250. Complained to management, and the response was, well, you agreed to the estimate. Sure, we should have sent the tech away and called a different plumber. We just weren't expecting to be ripped off by a company that has been in business here for 60 years. The most expensive cartridge at Home Depot is $45 retail. So the charge for labor comes to at least $775 per hour. Nice, huh? Will NEVER call them again. read more

Found water in my finished garage, called these guys out. They spent fifteen minutes searching for the leak, didn't find it, and gave me a quote of $6,500 to fix it. Plus drywall repairs if needed. I sent them away-of course- and had to figure it out myself. it was a leak in the hose from the water line to the toilet. i fixed it myself for $12.99. one hour's work including leak detection. This company should be out of business. We called them for a clogged toilet. They convinced us we needed 10K of repairs. The day they did work on our plumbing, they caused a water leak. I received a letter from the water company stating the leak started the same day Camarillo Plumbing was working on my house. I called Cam Plumbing to resolve the issue and they show up at my door and just start arguing with me that they didn't cause the issue. I am still searching for the source of the leak and do not trust any of these guys to go near my plumbing. This company is owned by new ownership. After checking their license it's clear that not all of their workers are licensed plumbers and the company doesn't carry workers comp insurance for all employees. A few weeks later, the garbage disposal they installed broke open, spilling water all inside the cabinet and on my floor. I then hired another plumber to repair the issue and found they installed pipes that don't fit properly. I am very concerned about the other work they did and needing to repair that in the future. They are scammers who scare you into thinking you need to spend more than you do, they argue with you and don't answer questions. read more

Tony is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to when it came to the issues we had addressed however he did not specialize in the issue with AC, but he diagnosed issues with our plumbing. He gave a thorough breakdown of what is wrong and how they can be fixed as well as advice on maintenance and prevention. We had our shower head and goose neck replaced and he was able to get it fixed quickly and cleanly. He also addressed concerns with a couple sinks and their cartridges and water damage on drywall. I called Camarillo Plumbing after my DYI attempt at replacing my shower valve cartridge was seized and wouldn't come out. Camarillo Plumbing promptly came out (on a holiday) and explained the problem to me and my options. They would first attempt to remove the stubborn cartridge. If that wasn't possible then they would have to cut out a hole on the other side of the wall which would be more time consuming and more expensive. Not having a working water heater in your home is no fun. You don't really realize how important it is until it is broken. I replaced my water heater in Feb 2011 and I remember thinking back then that I wasn't going to do that again. I called Camarillo Plumbing this morning and spoke to Kyle. He explained how I might be able to temporarily fix the water heater but soon it would need to be replaced. I decided to replace. Then I spoke to Stephanie and she was very nice and set me up for today. She called when Kevin was on his way and he was here in 15 minutes. The install was smooth and all the safety features (that I didn't do 10 years ago) were fixed and now I am all up to code. I have found Camarillo Plumbing to be knowledgeable and they do GREAT work. Was charged $975 for a garbage disposal! Was not told ahead of time how much it would cost. Seriously, $975 for a garbage disposal?! Crazy.

About a 1-1/2 yeats ago Camarillo Plumbing improperly installed 2 under sink water heaters and one stated leaking and they sent a plumber who bypassed the heater with a $10 flex line and said he would return to install a new one when I received it. It came. I paid him $275 to do so. He returned to install the exact replacement by installing flex lines to allow for inspection and service according to the service manual. I also asked him to take care of the improperly installed second unit By replacing the fixed pipe with flex lines. He charged me $650 For a total of $925 for less than 2 hours of work and the cost of the flex lines of about $40. Because they did not acknowledge that their original installation was wrong and perhaps offer some form of discount and also because they did not even offer their advertised senior discount, I will never use this company for any future plumbing work. I have the feeling that I was ripped off. read more

Hands down Tony is the Best!! Highly recommend Him. I called at 8:05 in the morning with a leaking water heater. Tony showed up by 9:50 and determined that the water heater needed to be replaced, which I was ready to do. Gave me an estimate right upfront. He drained and removed the old water heater and placed several rug runners down to protect the carpet. Set up the new water heater and added a catch pan. The job was complete by 1:00 pm!! Just in time to pick up the kids from school. Tony patiently answered all of my annoying questions and was very polite. The crew wore masks and shoe booties to keep the carpet clean. Stay away. I had a leak at the street, just at my side of the utility valve. I dug it out before they came to locate the source of the leak and on their inspection they told me because of the location and that it was PVC that it was at least one day and maybe two days with "their crew". They said they were going to replace the line with copper. My mistake: while I had quotes for less, i believed them and trusted them as they insisted that it would require about 2 days with multiple people working and would install a new copper pipes. I signed a contract based on that information. They finished in about 4 hours and installed about 2 feet of copper pipe. Returned next day to turn on and refill hole. Estimated total time: about 10 total man-hours. Total price: $1800+ I wouldn't be upset if they hadn't insisted that it would take their crew more than one full day and had installed more copper pipe. Watch other social media for more details. Unfortunately, it isn't worth the time and money to bring a legal action for fraud but in my opinion, it was intentional misrepresention. Read all the social media you can find and talk to others who are not connect with the company to get independent opinions. read more

Overall a very sloppy job was done. This was made even worse by the amount they charged. I'm not the landlord, but if I was paying for the work, I would not hire them back at all, not even to fix stuff they messed up. Dan and another guy arrived on site. Things did not start off well. They went ahead and turned off the water before ringing the doorbell, and I wish they had given me a heads-up as a courtesy. Wanting to wash your hands after taking a shit and finding the water is off is not the way you want to start your morning. When I went outside I found out that they had run each other's vans into each other in the driveway. Let the clown show begin! The main task was fixing a leak in irrigation piping. Watching them work was like a comedy of errors. Do you know they saying "Measure twice, cut once?" Well, these two guys didn't. They put pipe cement on the PVC before even checking if the pieces would fit. When the pieces didn't fit, they had to scramble to take apart the pieces (with glue drying on them!), cut them, and then put them back together. You do this for a living? Their cuts on the pipe were ragged, and their repair job threaded the new pipe through two others, making a tangled rats nest. If a future repair needs to be done in that area, it's going to be even more of a PITA because of what they did. They just don't give a damn about taking the time and effort to do the job right. The communication between their dispatch and plumbers is pretty bad too. There were other tasks that had been called in days before that the field guys were unaware of. We have used CAMARILLO PLUMBING for all our plumbing needs for many years and found great workmanship and honest pricing. We called Camarillo Plumbing in May 2022 and we didn't know and also were not told that the company was under new ownership and using workers from ALL TOASTY HEATING & AC. CAMARILLO PLUMBING and ALL TOASTY HEATING & AC are no longer Camarillo plumbing companies I will use. We needed a shower valve replaced with fixtures having a retail cost of $500 at Home Depot for the most expensive Moen unit. My husband opened the wall and resealed, spackled and painted at job completion to reduce costs. The replacement of shower valve repair took at most 2 1/2 hours and the charge was $1476.00 which was to have included the work for opening and closing wall which the company did NOT complete. The charge was included on job receipt for work they did not do. I look forward to finding a different plumber that will provide a written paper estimate. No printed receipt was given at job completion and the charges were not broken into labor, materials, and taxes by the company plumber. All signatures for job were completed on an I-pad. No receipt was given or e-mailed upon job completion and after billing to credit card. My husband made three phone calls in order to receive an e-mail receipt over a month after job completion. The e-mail receipt used the CAMARILLO PLUMBING logo and phone number. However, the second page of receipt printout with signature showed a different company ALLTOASTY HEATING & AC. This information was not provided at any time until we noticed the different name on credit card bill and my husband finally received the e-mail receipt after job completion. Plumbing leak at my house. Called them out and the 'plumber' did not seem to know what he was doing. Kept calling someone, the office? He finally pumped out some of the water, but did not finish. He said the office would call me, which they did not. He either didn't know what he was doing or didn't want to work. Camarillo Plumbing & Paint is an honest company. Not all are. THE OTHER COMPANY: Our water heater went out last year, and a company called Affordable Water Heaters Inc. was right there to rip us off. We paid over twice what it should have been--$3600! (Being first-time homeowners, we didn't know that crooks will send out their stickers to place on your water heater.) Less than a year later, our water heater stopped working. Inadequate wiring had been used, and it burnt up. This malfunction could have burnt down our house or given someone a life-defying shock. PLEASE know that Affordable Water Heaters Inc. are crooks, and PLEASE know that Camarillo Plumbing & Paint are NOT. CAMARILLO PLUMBING & PAINT: Kevin arrived at my house and took care of the problem rather quickly, replacing all the wires. And he didn't GOUGE me on the price.
