I took my car here to have my driver's side mirror replaced and had a wonderful experience. I went in on Monday and by Wednesday the part had already arrived and they had it replaced in 30 minutes. It was so much more reasonable than taking it to the dealer, and the efficiency was amazing! I will definitely be back next time I have any issues and would recommend this place to anyone! read more

Had a flat. We had to wait a little bit since it was a Saturday. They plugged it. Only charged $10. But treated us like we were their best customers. We knew we would be back. So since then, my boyfriend got his oil changed there. He couldn't have been more happy. Will be our neighborhood place to go. read more

My experience was not a good one today. I was disappointed with the customer service when I picked up my car. I have taken my car there for years with no complaints, and have recommended Cal's to others, including my son who also took this particular car there for service. They installed a new battery, as requested, and I told them I would bring the car in again next month for diagnostics of the engine and brakes. After I got the estimate, I was told the car could be ready in an hour. I said I'd pick it up the next day. Initially, the guy at the counter couldn't find my information and had to ask for help, saying he had been gone for three days. Then my car was brought to the front. I noticed it would not easily start and the check engine light was lit up on the panel. That wasn't happening before the car was brought in, so I questioned it. He repeated he didn't know, he had been gone for three days. Another guy came and briefly checked it out, nicely giving me his explanation of the problem. Someone else (I think a manager) came out and and said that wasn't the problem. Then he proceeded to say it was because the car isn't being driven enough, suggesting that it needs to be started every day and run for at least a half hour. He also used that same explanation on the phone with me about the brake problem, so it didn't add up. He was out of line, and I reminded him once again that I got the car from my son (who up until recently was responsible for maintenance of the car), that I am retired and drive it to the store and to family functions occasionally out of town, and up until I got the car from my son, he drove it every day to work and back and those rotor/brake problems existed when I got the car. I got the sense that they were really busy, and I am sympathetic to that, but good customers are why they are so busy. read more

Excellent service, provided reliable information on the repair. If they can't do a repair, they are honest and tell you. My go-to place for car repairs. read more

Do not go here. Mighty auto supplies the batteries with no acid in them and hangs up on customers when you report issues. Cal tried to charge 350 to replace my good alternator instead of admitting real problem was bad battery read more

Cal's Quick Lube & Auto Repair is a GREAT place to get your car repaired. No pressure, knowledgable, and skilled. We have a 15 year old vehicle that we are trying to keep on the road for a few more years, but we needed a repair. A repai with the new part would have cost $1100.00, but Cal's gave me the option of a salvaged part. We got the repair, 2 new belts, and an oil change for $410 00. We got more work than the basic repair and we saved $700.00 !!! read more

I would not recommend Cals. Several years ago I had a van I had serviced regularly at cals have the tie rod fall off, the tie rod had no grease inside and was all rusty . I had just had the van serviced a few days before the failure. When I took the old part back and I told the service manager they had not greased the van he said it did not have grease fittings. I showed him the old tie rod and the grease fitting he said it should not have fittings. I had been on the freeway 10 minutes before the failure going 65 miles an hour. I could have been killed. I talked with Cal and he assured me he would look into it. I continued to use Cal's. Then a few weeks ago, I replaced my stabilizer links and they needed greased. The car was due for a service so I took it to Cal's. They did the service and I left. The very next day the low washer fluid light came on. The washer should have been filled during the service so I took the car back. The mechanic said he had checked the washer and it must be leaking. He filled the washer again. A week later I had a flat and when I took the front tire off I noticed that nothing had been greased. I went back to Cal's and complained to the service manager. He said it most likely did not need greased. I told him it did need greased. The service manager told me that they were the experts and that I would not know if it needed greased. He said if they had put grease in and it dripped in my drive I would be mad. I explained to him I was a certified mechanic with 44 years experience. I had maintained police cars and fire trucks for the last 30 years and I knew what I was talking about. Also the brand new parts that I had installed had no grease in them and they did not grease them. He took the car into the service bad and I saw him talking to the mechanic. A little while later he pulled the car out. I took the car home and examined the job they had done. What I found shocked me. They had pumped grease all over the place. There was grease on the brakes all over the outside of the joints. In one case the glob of grease was as big as my fist. I believe this was done because I complained. Not only was this childish it was dangerous to the public and my family's safety. I have 5 cars that Cal has serviced for the last 10 years. I will never take another car to Cal's. I believe in paying for the work but I want to get what I have paid for. Interesting fact is after filling the washer fluid it stayed full. I took photos showing the ungreased parts and then the grease mess. I plan on filing a complaint with the better business. read more

I have been doing business with Cals for over 15 years. The service used to be good but in the last 5 years the service has taken a drastic drop. I had taken my caravan to Cal's since I got it. One day right after getting off the freeway my tie rod fell off. It was very worn out and rusty. There was no evidence it had been lubricated in years. I had had it into Cal's just a week before for a service. Had it come off while I was on the freeway I could have been killed or hurt another person. I talked to the owner Cal and showed him the rusted non greased parts. When I complained to the store service manager and told him they failed to grease the van, he told me newer cars did not have grease fittings. I showed him the old part with the fitting and he said it was probably time to replace it anyway. I think if it was greased when I took it in for service it would not have worn out and nearly caused an accident. Because I have used Cals for years I kept taking my cars there. Last week I took my Cadillac in for a service. The very next day the low washer fluid light came on so I took it back and the service tech said he filled it so it must have a leak. I only had to fill the washer fluid every couple months and I know it does not leak. He filled it and the washer has worked fine since, If it had a leak it should be empty again. Then a week later I woke up to a flat tire. I took the tire off and found a nail in the tire. While the tire was off I saw that nothing had been greased at all on the front end. I had the tire repaired and I took the car back to Cal's and told the manager they had not greased it. He gave me an attitude saying they only grease it if it needs it. He said if the boots are bulging they do not grease it because grease will leak out and get on the driveway. My photos showed the boots were flat and the fittings were all dirty and nothing had been greased. He gave me more excuses and implied they knew what they were doing and to leave it to the experts. I explained to him I am a certified professional retired mechanic with 40 years experience, 30 years which had been servicing Police Cars and Fire trucks. I know what I am doing, I just don't like messing with used oil and laying on a gravel driveway to change it. The manager gave my keys to the service Tech and he pulled it in to lubricate it. The manager went out and talked to the Tech. When the Tech was done he pulled the car out and the manager gave me the keys and I left. When I got home I examined the lubrication. I discovered they had pumped so much grease into the fittings and the were piles of grease all over the joints. In one case a glob of grease as big as my fist was on the stabiliser link and was getting ready to fall off. The grease ball would have fallen into the disk breaks and could have cause a break problem. I feel this was retribution for me complaining about the failure that they greased the car. 3 pumps of grease would have been fine and I think they just wanted to make a big mess. I own 5 cars and I will never use Cal's again. Thirty five bucks is a pricy price for a regular oil change and its crazy when they don't do the job correctly and endanger people. When My daughters car needed an oil change a few days ago I took it to Monro across the street. There service is only $19.99 and included a tire rotation and brake check as well as everything Cal's Service is supposed to include. Fifteen bucks cheaper and they did all the work properly. Never again Cal!!! read more

Run, do not walk, to Cal's. I have been coming here for almost 10 years and am convinced that I have saved money. Cal's is honest and they don't try to convince you to purchase products and services that you don't need. They are easy to deal with. You will not be sorry, believe me. read more

had crank shaft sensor replaced in 2011, new timing belt, water pump and serpentine belt. car vibrated terribly when i picked it up. the manager said that the timing was not set correctly and i had to leave it. when i picked the car up the next day the vibration was better but still very noticable. i have taken it back several times but the problem still remained. i had it check out today and found out that the timing was never set correctly and that now i need to replace the timing belt again. poor service - do not recommend them at all. save your money and fine another repair shop read more
