Very disappointed with my experience at Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists…read more I brought my 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate in for wheel repair, and after several days with little communication, I picked it up to find that the one wheel they "repaired" actually looked worse than it did before I brought it in--even after paying for the service. I sent photos and videos to one of their employees, who even admitted the workmanship looked bad. When I tried to get rescheduled to have it fixed and finish the rest of the wheels, they told me they were "too busy" and tried to push me out THREE WEEKS. That's completely unacceptable considering the poor quality of work they delivered in the first place. A reputable business should stand behind their work and make things right quickly--not make customers wait weeks to fix their mistakes. Between the poor workmanship and lack of urgency to correct the issue, this is not a company I would recommend.

The manager of the oil change place claimed that my car was old and that it wasn't their fault. I initially took my car to a different shop for a diagnostic, and that shop claimed the oil cooler was broken, and quoted me $3700 to fix it. I was floored by this, because the online quote from the same shop was $500-650. After they refused to budge, I found Ernie's who gave me a far more reasonable quote for the same repair. I had my car towed there, and got a call from Ernie's almost immediately. Imagine my surprise when Ernie's said that whoever had changed my oil had left the o ring off, and that's why it was leaking oil. The first shop had missed this obvious issue, and proceeded to quote me an exorbitant amount for a repair my car didn't need. Ernie's fixed it and I picked my car up the same day. I have had no other problems. Total repair was $16. Unfortunately for Ernie's they now have a customer for life. :) Save your time and come here first. None of them gave me any real satisfactory information so the search continued until I got to Dave's. I believe it was Kevin that I spoke with (I'm sorry, the name escapes me). He was very informative and quite pleasant on the phone, giving me quotes and guarantee information on their service and products. Saturday, I drove up to get the rim repaired, only to find that they were/are "closed on Saturdays until further notice". I went back on Monday and met with him to review my rim's condition. He took a look and gave me a very clear explanation and what I should expect. He even suggested that I could expedite matters by taking it directly to their service center for repair. I told him that I was comfortable leaving it with him and could wait a few days. I left the tire with him feeling good about things. It was early Tuesday when he called to let me know that the repair was complete (much sooner than I expected). I drove back and picked it up, extremely pleased with their timeliness. My added bonus came when he reviewed the condition of the damaged tire with me to show me exactly why it was unsafe for use. He had conducted a search to get me pricing on tires, even though I told him I was getting it replaced at no charge by the company responsible for the bad tire. I did indicate that I will be using him in the future... ...and so should you. But when/if you do, as always, be sure to tell 'em that "Kenny sent ya"!

But this is my story…read more Traveling from Virginia to Michigan and just outside Columbus Ohio I picked up a piece of metal in my right rear tire. ,,, I limped to a nearby fast food restaurant parking lot. I pulled out the "donut" spare and changed the tire. Can't drive all the to Michigan on the donut. So, I called tire places. First 3 no answer. Fourth place "Steve" answered. I explained my circumstances, he said come on over. I did. I'll just say "don't judge a book by it cover". His shop is pretty gnarly looking. He and his worked were nice as pie and as luck had it they had a tire, used but good my size . In matter of minutes he had that tire on the rim and on the truck. I paid him "70 bucks" for everything and was on my way. Total lost travel time only 2 hours (I was happy with that) thanks to Steve and his gnarly shop.
