I love all the variations of plants they offer! Found everything I was looking for and employees were very helpful. Looking forward to my next visit here

This Calloways location is located conveniently on the highway which I appreciate. The lady who was my cashier recommended a poinsettia as a low maintenance plant and guided me towards other low maintenance plants. I ended up with the poinsettia and pothos that are doing well and enjoy the bright indirect light. The prices are decent and they provide a plant holder/cover for the plants which I appreciate. There are plenty of places to park, service is friendly and they had a fireplace that brought a lovely aroma of cinnamon. I look forward to returning.

Calloway's is really *the* chain nursery in this area. They keep a decent stock of indoor and outdoor plants, including trees. Prices are not the lowest, but not as high as the typical local farmers market. If you buy a tree here, they will put it in the ground for you. And, they have a guarantee that covers satisfaction (i.e. if they plant it and it dies, they'll refund or replace it). The nursery is fun to peruse, though not quite as tightly organized or colorful as Home Depot. HD also has a slightly more convenient pickup area for bags of mulch and soil, though they go out of stock. But, for year-round landscaping, Calloways is fun place to shop. Though, if you're looking for pre-made baskets, these are pretty generic. This location is the nicest one of the few we've frequented in the area. The last time we came, they were out of stock on several flowers my +1 was looking for, not too strange given it was late May. The gardening staff is very helpful, quick to answer questions and knowledgeable about the plants.

Selections 5/5 Customer Service 5/5 Prices expensive (2/5) I have never been to a Calloway's, but wow they are expensive. I do like they have a life time guarantee on annual plants. Just take a picture of your receipt to bring dead plants in, and they replace for free.

Japanese maples with a shade evergreen. Lover plants flowers and bushes. Yes one Bonsai and most from one place.

We go three times a year with needs and bring back any dead plants we bought here. It can not be beat when you need to replace and grow the looks of your yard. We had to replace several plants with their identification and got reimbursed so quickly bought double. Yup $500 in yard plants. Try a new tree or bush and especially flowers and veggies.

I am so bummed. I went hoping to get some guidance from people who really know their stuff since it is a nursery. When I asked for help the employee told me he doesn't know anything about plants but that he could help me get them in my car. I asked if he could point me in the direction of who does know something about plants and he told me there are only two people who work there who know anything about plants and only one of the two was working right then. So I waited in line to speak to her to make sure the plants I had in my cart were good for the amount of light in my home. She confirmed they were great so I excitedly took them home. I expect an initial shed of some leaves as a plant changes environment but both ficus trees I got looked sick within a few days and just got worse no matter what I did. I bought 4 plants from them and 3 of the 4 were sick. I am still trying to save one but two are just too far gone after months of trying to save them. When I finally gave up because they were beyond saving I pulled them out of my pot and there were thousands of grubs and millipedes in them! They were totally infested! Now I am worried that their infestations might be effecting my other house plants! My fiddle leaf fig hat has been rocking it for a long time that I got from Home Depot just started to look sick so I am going to see what can be done and check if it has grubs too. The trees came infested. All my plants at home were healthy until I brought these in. Absolutely don't go here. Again Home Depot was more knowledgeable and had thriving plants compared to here.

My triple planter looks cheery now!

Calloways is a nice garden center. Big selection, fair prices & helpful staff. Unlike awful Mikes Garden in Southlake.

They are on another level when it comes to their lawn and plant care products and varieties of plants. Specifically, I was looking for a plant care product called Ferti-lome Root Stimulator Plant Starter and Medina Plus by Medlina which is a soil activator great for promoting flowering plants and the Ferti-Lome was on sale. Great value on sale or not. Both of these are great if you are a Gardner and if you know, you know know. Also, I was looking for Mexican Bird of Paradise plant and they have them in stock. I bought 4 and they have quite a bit of inventory. Note Home Depot does not carry these products. The service is a five. The woman that helped me was family to the owner, super helpful and friendly. We ended up getting one fig tree and one plum tree. the people working there are very helpful and actually helped me save money. i was going to ask them to delivery and plant it at my house, but they told me that since the fruit trees i was buying were on the smaller side, i would simply just put it into my suv and save on the delivery fee. while planting was a pain in the ass, it didn't take too long to plant the two trees. They also recommended that i get some root growth liquid chemicals to help the trees grow. they typically have sales going on. For the fruit trees, it was buy one get another one 40% off. i'm not sure if other nurseries are offering sales, but it was a nice offer Mike was doing. Granted, i don't normally buy trees, i'm not sure if i overpaid for the fruit frees. I think the fig tree was 30 bucks and the plum tree for 40 bucks. Mike garden has a decent selection. they have items that are in the greenhouse along with a lot of other items outside. they also sell garden decorations as well.

I've worked with landscapers before and usually you get a lot of talk and not a lot of follow through. This was different. They gave us a few design options, walked us through everything, and actually communicated throughout the whole project which was huge for me. What really stood out was the quality of the work. We've paid for "premium" service in the past and never really felt like we got it. With Blooming Colors, you can tell they care. The details, the cleanup, the way everything came together, it just felt right. Now our backyard is a place we actually want to spend time in again, which I didn't think I'd say a few months ago. We'll be using them going forward for both our home and our rental properties here in Southlake. No question.

I walked into Blooming Colors Nursery on Saturday, ready to spend money and left Wednesday…read morewondering how $500 trees come with $0 worth of integrity (for context, similar Japanese maples run about $115 at Home Depot). Here's the story... Before purchasing, I made it crystal clear I needed HOA approval (as an "exception" because it's not on our approved landscaping list). On that lovely Saturday, the very helpful sales associate, Olivia, confidently assured me I'd get a full refund if the HOA didn't approve. No mention of store credit. No caveats. That promise (and my love for those two trees) was the only reason I agreed to move forward and let them hold the trees on my card. HOA said no. I came back expecting a simple resolution... and instead got a full rewrite of reality. Olivia wasn't there, and the staff immediately insisted there was "no way she would've said that." One employee chimed in, "I trained her myself," followed by questions about whether I "saw all the no-refund signs." The manager doubled down with, "I really don't believe she said that." All of this--despite having a witness that was standing next to me who heard the entire conversation. Let's call it what it was: not confusion... gaslighting. After things escalated, the owner came out, seemingly only after I mentioned disputing the charge. She agree to refund me--but not before trying to shush me, telling me to "be quiet or wait outside," and saying, "I'll refund your money and you can go buy your trees elsewhere." Nothing says "family business values" quite like dismissing a paying customer on the way out. The trees were beautiful, no doubt--but their integrity and respect wilted faster than a Texas agave in August. If you shop here, get everything in writing... because their word clearly doesn't take root. Better yet, don't.

We have shopped here for a good while and spent a good deal of money at this nursery. They have a good variety and have had good success with our plants. We continued to try and help them rally but they continued to die. At about 60 days we took them back to find they only offer 7 day return policy. No store credit, no refund--nothing. This was a total of $200 gone. We have never been told of their policy for returns, it's "on the receipt". All other places we have bought from have a return of 6-12 months. We were shocked and saddened to see their response -- which we were told is because we hand water, no irrigation system and therefore had zero chance of any form of return service. We will not return and hope this helps others not make the same mistake as us.

The photo wasn't of anything bad or wrong, it was not misleading or a misrepresentation, it was a legitimate photo of the outside area of the location that she says is shared with a landscaping company, tho what landscape company I do not know. The reasoning stated to me was that the landscaping company didn't want the photo of their area published. The photo was of the locations surroundings just as any Google maps search would provide, so it's not anything that can't be seen anyway. It showed their "shared space" which being "shared" still makes it part of this businesses space which serves as sort of a parking area. The rating on this review is based on the point of contact by the owner to manipulate the initial review by requesting removal of a photo that is a true representation of what is surrounding the business, part of their "shared space", this removes what is also a visual to allow others to find this out of the way place that is not on any main road. I don't feel it is appropriate for a business to private message a Yelp member for the sole purpose of manipulating what is on the review.
