Great experience here today when I stopped in just to look. I had never been to a Moon Valley Nurse before, but I learned today that they are a thing! Essentially they are a full services landscape company that can even help with design and installation of a custom landscape design for you. They also have arborists on staff and a great selection of trees of all ages and sizes. My guide through the "Forest" was Anthony and when I told him about the space and lighting I was working with he made several suggestions for me. Ashton should probably come with a warning label. I walked in needing one tree. Twenty minutes later I was nodding yes to plants I can't pronounce and somehow convinced I needed to "create layers." STAY AWAY!!! This company is terrible and corrupt. 2st week of March I went to look around the nursery. Talked into having work done on my trees, trimming, spraying and root injections. It is now the end of April. As we get zero interest to pay for this very expensive transaction, payments have start yet service has not been completed. 10 phone calls with the promise to call me right back and an email sent. I arrived at Moons right after they closed. I wasn't aware of their closing time. I turned around and was going back to my car when one of their employees, Cody, came out and welcomed me in and lead me to the flowers I was looking for. He told me which ones of their selection would bloom through fall. I found a beautiful Mum. He carried it to the register and gave me a nice discount. We went here looking for more birdseed for the winter birds. We quickly learned that they sell trees, shrubs and ground cover and love coming to clients homes and businesses to do landscape design. They recently did all the trees for the Dallas Cowboys stadium! They recently opened this new location in the building that was formerly occupied by Marshall Grain on the frontage road of Hwy 121 in Grapevine TX. We recommend you ask for Beka Flora, however if she's not there no worries. The entire staff is great and support each other immensely! Beka went above and beyond her responsibilities to help us find a Japanese Maple CORAL BARK tree. After we chatted initially, she recommended we go home, snap a few photos of the area we wished to place the tree and send them to her. She then consulted with their onsite tree arborist to make sure this tree would be a good place for our new investment. That's service you don't get from your local big box store. After purchasing our tree we also signed up for her and their landscaping design person to come out and look at our front yard to help us plan for a face lift with our existing trees, shrubs, ground cover etc! It's our Christmas gift to each other for 2023! read more

She's Customer Excellence and truly went above and beyond to make our landscaping look amazing & made multiple trips to ensure we were taken care of too! DO NOT USE THEM. We spent $$$ on trees two years ago. While we were out of the country they sent an email saying they were gong to plant three trees to replace the ones which were doing poorly in the front yard. Due to the time difference we didn't get the email until later, but in enough time to tell them Not to plant the trees until we returned a day later as we did not want these replacement trees planted in the same location. Either the email was ignored or never read because when we arrived home the next day they had planted the trees. We called and asked to have one of them placed in a different location, which they agreed to do. That never happened. After months of speaking to various people in person and sending multiple letters and texts, we decided to cancel the protection plan and have asked multiple times for a refund. As of this date, no refund has been given. Further, on March 10th of this year, Chase, came out to look at our property and trees and we explained the whole situation. He claimed MV was much better, unfortunately we believed him, but when we declined to purchase the extra care plan for the trees no one has reached out to us for the money we are still owed. One week before Christmas, we needed a tree for our new home in Bedford. We needed some Christmas spirit inside and something to keep our cats occupied. I called Moon Valley first and was welcomed by Becca and she took care of us when we stopped by right at closing, or right past closing. I was so happy she was still able to provide us with just the right tree, despite the nursery closing five minutes earlier. I felt like one of those characters in a Christmas movie from long ago, knocking on a store window during Christmas time, just after a business had closed for the evening on a cold wintery night. Service: We were greeted at the door, but it didn't feel like a used care salesman approach. Nathaniel Raught was friendly, knowledgeable both in designs/plants ex: what plants may work in space, what won't, what are hardy plants for this area etc... well informed. Nathaniel was extremely patient with my husband and I. It took us awhile to combine our thoughts and ideas once we were surrounded with so many choices. Dillon, Rebecca and team came to home for planting. They were quick, clean, friendly,and answered any concerns I had. Rebecca and team were great with my 2yr old who wanted to get into everyone's way. Dakota made sure to call us before service and review purchase, and also did follow up call after planting. Value: I found the value for plant and home service to be reasonable. Moon nursery will help you create a zen space that fits your budget. Drew provides outstanding customer service to Moon Valley's MVP program customers!! During the recent cold snap, Drew came to our home and carefully wrapped two very tall Texas sabals and a mule palm/pirru king. The Texas sabals look like they never saw below 60 degrees and the mule, despite its fronds browning, looks like it's ready to green up as warmer weather sets in here in Dallas. And if it doesn't, I bought the warranty so win-win! The cost of the service is worth it and helps maintain the value of our palms. We used Moon Valley/Big Tex when we lived in The Woodlands and have always been amazed by their customer service. Drew makes everything seem easy and stress free and we love that. He just needs more help! Kudos to Drew and we look forward to our next MVP appointment! read more

I had gone to Moon Valley Nursery to look at trees. The salesperson worked like a hard pitch to sell me a tree. I was uncomfortable as it was more like how a car salesperson operates. He said he was giving me the best price and even brought someone else in to "discount" it. The bottom line was expensive for a small live oak - $444.99 without a guarantee. I asked about a 1-year warranty but that was extra. Delivery and planting was another $249. I would have to wait 4 weeks for it to be planted. When it arrived it looked scrawny and I was so disappointed. I called the store and told them and said I saw bigger, healthier looking live oaks at Lowe's for $129. The general manager stated that those are inferior due to being dug out of the ground instead of grown in pots. I don't know if that's true or not but I don't believe my scrawny little tree is worth $315 more! I will never go back there. read more
