Reggie Rush, Brandon Rivera and Jacob (Jake), for Moon Valley Nurseries, worked from consultation, design, negotiations, implementation of 2 impressive Palm trees, 12 vibrant Crepe Myrtles, a Fig Tree and 3 Arizona Yellow Bells into the late evening with thoroughness, constant communications along each step with what was needed, why and how. The installation proved to be challenging in this heat due to the hardness of the ground and its required placement. Throughout the process, Reggie was a concierge (sales/designer) both inside the store and outside when on his own accordance, he showed up on site during his "day-off" for the install. As an effective listener, he would remind me of what I had mentioned more often than what I could remember. Together with Maddie (office manager), they creatively offered a reasonable pricing and services with organization and clarity. Brandon contributed to overseeing the quality of the hard-working crew to deliver the correct planting and nutrition for the items. He shared his advice and knowledge and offered various options available that I was not aware at that point. Integrity showed up when he prepared 3 glasses of ice water for the crew. As the work continued, I saw how well they worked as a team ensuring success to each other as they carefully planted around the sprinkler's wiring. In the end, the company's management of the project was topped off from the Regional Director, "Jake", who worked diligently to resolve the challenge along the rock wall. His expertise of 10+ years added value to the newly installed, breathtaking landscape when he successfully resolved the challenge. He inspected and ensured from the top-down to the bottom-up that all expectations had been met with healthy placement of the plants and that a functioning yard continued its beauty and remained sustainable. All professionals were knowledgeable and answered questions in simple, direct terms and advised steps to maintain the Palms with warranty and the plants with hardiness. We were introduced to Moon Valley from a mailer sent out when they opened this summer. Earlier this year we finalized the replacement of the plants in our yard that had failed during the '21 February Freeze debacle. We used a landscape guy that had expanded and ended up with some plants that failed to make it through summer, despite the following the verbal instructions of the guys that planted them for us. We decided to give Moon Valley a shot and boy did we hit the jack pot! Please understand that these guys are offering plants that are grown locally, not from a nursey operation along the Gulf Coast. They start with plants that are grown in local soils, with local weather changes and everything is raised in the elements of North Texas - not a greenhouse. The plants from the start are "weatherized" and not plants that are going to go through shock once they leave the confines of a "hot house". We were able to choose the perfect mature plant to fill a gaping hole in our landscape, the crew that delivered it came within the service window offered, the team leader led a group of labors who actually cared enough to do a superior job installing the plant. In addition to the actual documentation offered at purchase on how to care for the plant at installation and through the coming seasons, the gentleman serving as the installation team leader answered all my questions regarding feeding, clarified watering schedules and in general offered the best post purchase experience that I have ever had. I have been making purchases from nurseries in Bedford, Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, Keller, North Richland Hills and Southlake since 1986, this has been the best experience that I have ever had working with a nursery. We went here looking for more birdseed for the winter birds. We quickly learned that they sell trees, shrubs and ground cover and love coming to clients homes and businesses to do landscape design. They recently did all the trees for the Dallas Cowboys stadium! They recently opened this new location in the building that was formerly occupied by Marshall Grain on the frontage road of Hwy 121 in Grapevine TX. We recommend you ask for Beka Flora, however if she's not there no worries. The entire staff is great and support each other immensely! Beka went above and beyond her responsibilities to help us find a Japanese Maple CORAL BARK tree. After we chatted initially, she recommended we go home, snap a few photos of the area we wished to place the tree and send them to her. She then consulted with their onsite tree arborist to make sure this tree would be a good place for our new investment. That's service you don't get from your local big box store. After purchasing our tree we also signed up for her and their landscaping design person to come out and look at our front yard to help us plan for a face lift with our existing trees, shrubs, ground cover etc! I highly recommend Moon Valley. My experience started with a phone conversation with Nathan - I expressed my strong desire for more shade front and back as well as privacy for our backyard. Nathan and Andrew came to my home and listened to my requests and put together a plan. My husband and I visited the nursery and were both completely blown away by the incredible stock of trees and shrubs they had - one look at the Teddy Bear Magnolias and we were sold. We just thought we were hooked until we saw the available Live Oaks and Cedar Elm - it was difficult to choose because they were all magnificent. My experience improved even more when the planting crew led by Dane arrived! These gentlemen worked so hard and were all eager to make sure I was pleased with each planting - I was and am! They did meticulous work and left our yard very clean and orderly. The quality assurance manager followed up and I felt I had multiple channels to use if I needed assistance in any way. My yard has had an incredible make over and when our next brutal summer hits I'll have a shady yard to help get through it. I went to Moon Valley because I wanted some mature trees and bushes to give us a bit more privacy, but I got so much more! I had a landscape design from another company and Cy and Madeline were wonderful in working with us to find all of the plants we wanted and swap others that have worked even better than what I envisioned. We got a great deal on them and they have the best guarantee in the business. And then Dylan and his wonderful crew were super courteous and professional. They did a beautiful job planting our bushes and trees! They had to come back one more time because they didn't mulch a few bushes, which I hadn't noticed originally because I was so happy with the initial transformation, and I didn't realize how close two bushes were to each other, so they moved those two for me. The whole business at Grapevine went above and beyond to make sure we're happy with our end product and they are super sweet on the phone, and just plain helpful and awesome (shoutout to Alana, Dakota and Richard... you made me smile and feel at ease when I called y'all every time). Service: We were greeted at the door, but it didn't feel like a used care salesman approach. Nathaniel Raught was friendly, knowledgeable both in designs/plants ex: what plants may work in space, what won't, what are hardy plants for this area etc... well informed. Nathaniel was extremely patient with my husband and I. It took us awhile to combine our thoughts and ideas once we were surrounded with so many choices. Dillon, Rebecca and team came to home for planting. They were quick, clean, friendly,and answered any concerns I had. Rebecca and team were great with my 2yr old who wanted to get into everyone's way. Dakota made sure to call us before service and review purchase, and also did follow up call after planting. Value: I found the value for plant and home service to be reasonable. Moon nursery will help you create a zen space that fits your budget. They also have pay options if your dream garden is just out of reach at the moment. Overall, we were highly satisfied and will be returning in spring. read more

One week before Christmas, we needed a tree for our new home in Bedford. We needed some Christmas spirit inside and something to keep our cats occupied. I called Moon Valley first and was welcomed by Becca and she took care of us when we stopped by right at closing, or right past closing. I was so happy she was still able to provide us with just the right tree, despite the nursery closing five minutes earlier. I felt like one of those characters in a Christmas movie from long ago, knocking on a store window during Christmas time, just after a business had closed for the evening on a cold wintery night. This store is really neat! I walked up and was met with an associate named Adyson. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't know exactly what to expect and wasn't too sure what I wanted but he asked me some questions and gave me some guidance. All in all it was a great experience. I didn't wind up getting anything just yet because there were just too many good choices and I wanted to discuss the options with my husband. Moon Valley Grapevine had everything that I needed. I expected it to be a rough visit, considering the heat here in Texas, but Bryce Williams made it such a funny, easy trip for myself and family. I received a flyer in the mail from Moon Valley. It appeared they had an amazing selection, so I decided to stop by. Nate, who was a designer for the store, and his manager, Kyler, made this an amazing experience. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but they made everything easy! We ended up putting a mature tree in the front yard that looked like it came with the house. Plus we did a hedge in my back yard that came out fantastically! We had a tree delivered today and Sean and his crew did a great job. They were on time, they let us know when they were coming, they put the tree exactly where we wanted it and Sean was very helpful in talking with me about watering, etc. They are fine professionals. This is the second time we used Moon Valley; last summer they planted three trees for us and were excellent then too, which is why we came back.
