We have 3 large flower beds and tend to our landscape almost on a daily basis. We have educated ourselves on multiple plants and techniques to try to be successful. We have shopped here for a good while and spent a good deal of money at this nursery. They have a good variety and have had good success with our plants. We purchased 3 shrubs (plant in ground) and 3 plants (container) to go around our pool. Within 30 days, despite our effort to help them, they started to brown and drop leaves. We continued to try and help them rally but they continued to die. At about 60 days we took them back to find they only offer 7 day return policy. No store credit, no refund--nothing. This was a total of $200 gone. We have never been told of their policy for returns, it's "on the receipt". All other places we have bought from have a return of 6-12 months. We were shocked and saddened to see their response -- which we were told is because we hand water, no irrigation system and therefore had zero chance of any form of return service. We will not return and hope this helps others not make the same mistake as us. read more

Sadly, this is the first time that I have ever written a bad review about a company; this is not what I like to do! That said, we purchased a tree in the beginning of October and had Landscape Systems Garden Center deliver and install the tree and all went well there. When we purchaed the tree, we followed the verbal instructions that we were given to care for the tree; we were never given any written instructions. My husband is very particular about our landscaping and doing exactly what is needed. Unfortunately, the tree we purchased has died and it is still within the 6 month warranty. We have two of the same exact same trees within feet of each other and they get the same care and watering. Yes, we know when a new tree is planted it requires more attention, again, which we followed the verbal instructions that we were given. When I called this morning, I spoke to a nice young lady and she was unfamiliar with the warranty policy and asked if I could hold while she got the manager and I said absolutely, no problem. From there, my husband and I had the unpleasant experience of speaking with Brian, the owner. Brian was very condensending, and offputting. Brian did ask questions regarding watering and the care. Brian also said that, it required a "bubbler" to be placed in the groud for watering. We were NEVER once told about having a "bubbler" and how are the exact same trees within feet of this one surviving just fine without a "bubbler". In SHORT, Brian said "we would work something out", never once saying that because the tree died and it is under warranty that they would replace the tree. Brian became defensive and rude to both my husband and myself. We could never get a straight answer out of him on just replacing the tree; that's all we wanted to do. Understandably, Brian was asking questions and that's fine but he was asking in a way that made us both feel as though we were being accused of killing the tree. My husbanbd and I would also like to know why the tree died but regardless, Brian should have been much more professional and lived up to their promise of the warranty. We have bought exclusively from this location for over 5 years. I love the huge selection of trees, annuals and perennials. They do beautiful wood pieces and have great ornamental iron as well. A plus are the 3 white labs who wonder around asking to be patted on the head. In all we've purchased 12 trees from them and I'm shocked at how strong and healthy they are. If you have their staff plant them they don't even need to be staked. Can't say enough about the staff who are ALL super helpful, but allow you the freedom to wonder around and browse. I had kept forgetting to write a review about LSGC, back in the early summer last year, and just had to get this in. One of my passions is gardening, and planting and lawn & Garden upkeep. Mainly it's more nostalgic, helping my dad when I was a kid bagging the grass, always brings back good memories. I know a lot of dad's will agree, that there is no smell better than a fresh cut lawn, with an ice cold brew in the hand at the end. I have been getting my flowers and plants from LSGC for the last few years, and they never seem to disappoint with there On-hand stock. I feel like a kid in a toy store when I take my wife shopping for plants. Great selections on trees, annuals and even perennials. They have decent price on perennial in a gallon size. Also, lots of of small sizes in annuals in case you just want a few plugs here and there and watch it grown. Got most of my dahlias, coral bells and foxgloves from here. They even have passion vine.. and endless of mature maple trees. Did I mention stunning brightly hues of begonias.. I want them all! The people were friendly each time I am there. I came by when they were having a summer clearance on succulents. They have a decent selection of succulents, a huge section on trees, flowers etc. I noticed most of the plants are outdoors with a small indoor plant section. I ended up picking up a succulent from the clearance which was dehydrated but was fine after a little care. I recommend checking out this gem when you get the chance. read more

Think before you buy any of their trees or bigger ticket items - they claim an assortment of "guarantees" but then really don't intend to provide either the guarantee or in our case the offer for a 50% off on replacement purchase. We had issues with all the palms we purchased and even a large maple tree all dead in less than a year after purchase. I even called ahead to discuss our frustration with the trees all dying - in particular the maple. We have had maples in other states that are hearty but not theirs. We were told to come in and they would give us 50% off the replacement. I even asked the manager if he needed to document this for when we come in and I was told no. Fast forward to us picking out over $2000 worth of replacements and they conveniently forgot about the convo I had the days before we come in. They tried to blame it on the change in their software systems (not a customers problem). The owner got involved and between him and the assorted cashier staff -the degree of rudeness, contempt and lack of customer service we experienced was beyond jaw dropping- they have no intentions of honoring their word or guarantee. My husband was furious - we spent thousands every year on our yards and this was by far the worst e experience we have ever had. I don't recommend investing in supporting this type of business with your big shrub, tree or landscaping purchases. Other companies supply the same brands and will treat you way far better. I was at Calloway down the street in southlake and saw several folks bring in in dead wrapped up plants, shrubs and trees getting replacements with a smile. Amazing - that is what you should expect. And that degree of "customer first" mentality - it starts at the top and trickles down - this is NOT what you will get at this nursery. And disregard the sweet dogs - it's a ploy to make you think they are nice. They aren't. They don't care about their customers nor any interest honoring their word and guarantee. Reporting to the better business bureau. And the state. Corrupt as all get out! read more

This could be either a condemnation or glowing review, depending on your point of view. We have purchased from this place several times, and bought a few of their prepared plant bowls as well as individual plants. But that's a weekend we visited and there were no COVID precautions at all. None of the staff wore masks and there were no physical barriers when working closely with checkout or other face to face interactions. Masks for patrons were also not required. I admit the TRUMP 2020 signs laying around didn't help to make us feel very welcome either. So, if you feel the epidemic was a hoax and feel Trump was your guy, then this is the place for you. But there are plenty of garden centers around who care about their customers' safety and leave their politics at home. read more

An easy decision. We've had a great experience with them for many reasons over the years. We received a great referral for weekly lawn service. We've had landscaping done. We even had an arborist referred to us to cut our trees properly. All quality work. I even went in last week and asked them if they had any old pumpkins that they didn't want. We've been driving past this place for years. We always marvel at how beautiful the large tree out front is decorated at Christmas time. Well after striking out a Jabos the other day, we decided to see what Landscape Systems Garden Center has to offer. We just wanted a splash of color for a couple of pots we have out front. In this heat we also need something hardy. After looking around a bit we decided to give some vincas a try. As we browsed inside Thuy saw that a lot of the ceramic pots were on sale, so we ended up buying one of those too. All in all the prices struck me has a tad high, but the quality ang selection looked good, and coupled with the sale items it was a pretty good visit. We will definitely keep Landscape Systems Garden Center on our comparison list from now on, especially since we drive right past it several times per week. read more

Not a fan of their customer service. They have awesome plants and very proud of their pricing. Biggest issue is they do not warranty anything they sell. Spoke to owner in person about dead saga palms for which she told me I must have let the frost get them and they will grow back. 3 months later they still have not grown back. I wish zero stars was an option. The owner, Ed, has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We reached out in June to get an estimate regrading my backyard. We paid a deposit and we're told we would be contacted to schedule. After 3 weeks, multiple calls and a trip back up to the nursery, we finally got the initial visit scheduled (first ignored red flag.) Ed and his crew were an hour late to the scheduled estimate and 'eyeballed' the grading because they could see what the issue was (it is pretty obvious but not what we paid for). During this visit Ed literally said "The two professions I don't trust are landscapers and roofers." (Second red flag ignored, shame on me) After two weeks I had to remind this man to send an estimate by text which he promptly responded with "who is this?" ( third red flag ignored, jokes squarely on me at this point but I continue). Finally get the invoice, and they require half down to schedule. Was told if you want to pay cash that it needed to be brought to the nursery, which I did on a Saturday and was told they would contact me Monday to schedule. A week later, after no phone call, finally had enough. Went back up there to cancel the job and get my deposit back. Was told by Ed that "they are six months out anyways so it doesn't matter" and then that the "person that was going to do it would be back Tuesday" LOL Ed does not care about anyone. Every conversation with him came with a condescending tone and the clear disregard for my time and business was just too much to handle. We went here today and they were wonderful! I brought In pictures and rough measurements of my newly constructed beds, and they drew me a plan of all the plants I should use and where to plant them. We worked with Rob and he was very knowledgeable, and helpful. They plants are really healthy and reasonably priced. They have a huge selection! I just spent $600 and was treated rudely by the owner himself. The cashier rang me up and dismissed me 3 times when I told her I needed help with my 4 large bags of landscaping mix, large pot and a 50lb rock. She then sent a 12 year old girl to help me load the car of which it would have been very dangerous for her to lift these items. They are very disorganized, parking is a disaster, I asked about their warranty and the cashier looked like at me like she didn't know what I was talking about so I looked on my receipt and it said to ask the cashier so I asked again and she told me to go inside to get a copy. I went inside and had the same basic response. I finally was handed the warranty sheet and it virtually says there is no warranty! ugh! Not going back! read more

STAY AWAY!!! Over the last few years I have spent over $4000 in plants and planting of those plants. Today I came in to buy a few plants totaling about $83... when my wife and I checked out the employee behind the register was on the phone and we waited while he finished his call. After he finished his call he just walks away. Doesn't say I will be right back, or someone will be with you in a minute. A few minutes later he returns and doesn't say a word to us as we ring out. Completely rude demeanor. So we buy are stuff and we leave. Within an hour later I came back to return 2 of the plants. The cashier tells me that I can only get a store credit. I told her that I didn't want a store credit so she told me I could speak to the manager. The manager tells me that they can do a refund, but would have to charge me 6%!! So I say fine. Charge me 6%... she then tries to charge me a 25% because she had no idea how to do the math. So I did it for her and she charged me $2.59 to return 2 plants. I tell her after all the money I had spent there that they were going to lose a customer over $2.59 she offered to let me speak to the owner. So the owner comes out of his office, I tell him the WHOLE story... he shrugs his shoulders and says something that I couldn't understand. Bottom line. The service here is TERRIBLE!! They are unbelievably over priced, but have very nice plants. I was willing to pay the higher price for the better product. But never again!! Do yourself a favor and another place to shop at that appreciate customers, and can apply common sense over policy. read more

If you are contemplating hiring this company to perform your landscape remodel, I would offer a word of advice.... Don't. Over the years my wife and I have spent a considerable amount of money purchasing plants, shrubs, etc... from their retail store. It's like Aladdin's cave, and we have always been happy with the products. We assumed they would be a good choice when we decided to invest in a front yard landscape remodel - which included a major overhaul of the sprinkler system. We were wrong. Shortly after spending over $14,000, many of the plantings turned brown and started to die. I reached out to the owner to ask him to come out and take a look with a view to replacing them under the warranty they claim to provide. The only response I received was that the irrigation contractor that he hired is now out of business - less than 30 days after the job was completed. Follow up requests went unanswered. It is now clear to me that once he has your money, you no longer matter as a customer. Spare yourself the frustration and hire a company that has the integrity to stand behind their work. read more

We worked with Brian on picking out plants for our front yard flowerbed. He was very nice and helped us out tremendously even though we came in about an hour before they closed. The design he came up with was spot on with what we were wanting. All our plants were beautiful! We went back the next day after looking around for pots and the one he picked out for us was the prettiest and most reasonably priced! Terribly disorganized. Made an appointment for a consultation and they called me back a couple days before my appointment to tell me the guy was off that day. Rescheduled my appointment with them and the guy doesn't show. When I called them to ask where they were at 8am, they didn't even have it on the schedule. They proceeded to tell me he can come at 10am. At 10:05am they called me to tell me they lost my address and cannot access their system. I said no thanks, I'm done with your company. landscape/hardscape debacle worst quality and service experience, by far, with any type of work at our home in 30 years and at 7 different homes/cities - pains us to be compelled to post such a negative review because Ed and Brian are good Christian men and they did try But their teams were in over their heads and struggled mightily and often just failed e.g. - not finishing the work (yes, we just gave up) - property damage (that we resolved because they simply couldn't or we didn't want to risk more damage) - building well off the designed plan, then asking for $$ to redress - having to redo work 4, 5, 6 times (no exaggeration) - waste and building materials left in the streets and adjacent lots (had to clean up, surrounding property nearly every day) - us having to essentially project manage (because they just couldn't do it) Pains us to say that this was truly a "cluster" To their credit Ed/Brian didn't dispute any of our complaints, and we believe they really tried. We took our kids pumpkin shopping, it's a nice little area where they can choose a pumpkin, jump in the bounce house or play basketball. The problem with this place is the prices and the people who work there, they seem to think they are doing you a favor by selling you their overpriced pumpkins, I mean we could get the same exact size pumpkin at Kroger for $5 they are charging &15-$20 ridiculous! But, we were there already , my wife was determined to find a good size pumpkin that wasn't so expensive, since they are individually priced you can get lucky and we did, we found different variety of pumpkin decent sized for $20. At the register a frowned old man took our card, swiped it and gave me a receipt. I assumed it was mine I thanked him and he immediately replied " signature " in a very rude demanding way. As we were walking away my wife heard him say to a female behind the counter "I don't think that pumpkin was really $20" insinuating we changed the price. Like we would carry a red sharpie around on our pocket To mess with the prices...really? Again it happened with another guy when I was loading the pumpkin in the car, this time he insinuated to my wife that we changed the price by saying "that is to chap for pumpkin that size! Brian Ruibal was doing work 4 houses down from me. His workers hosed the dirt down the street away from the house they were working on. They had top soil on the road not on a tarp. They left the mess in front of my house. When Brian Ruibal came down to see the finished work I showed him the mess. He promised to send someone that day to clean it up. He never did. I called him.
