Upon entering, I was immediately overwhelmed by a pungent odor reminiscent of cat urine. It was so overpowering that breathing became a challenge, and it was hard to imagine anyone choosing to linger in the retail space. I am a huge advocate for businesses that embrace having animals on site, as it often adds a charming touch to the shopping experience. The cat at Green Acre is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, its presence has wreaked havoc on the retail space. The unmistakable odor suggests it has chosen the outdoor furniture as its territory, which detracts significantly from the environment--something that management ought to address promptly. Despite this unnerving aspect, I did spot an exquisite Alocasia Zebrina. This find was the shining moment in an otherwise unpleasant visit. Sadly, I didn't venture into their outdoor section, as the state of the houseplant area was disheartening enough. Many of the plants appeared neglected, with signs of overwatering and distress. It was disappointing to see such potential overshadowed by poor maintenance. If this Green Acre location wishes to improve, they could learn a lot from the Green Acres location in Melissa, whose plant manager truly excels. Her expertise and care are evident, and similar attention is needed in Irving to revive their plant offerings and overall customer experience. Overall, I wish I could grant a higher score, but the current conditions make it difficult to recommend Green Acre Nursery until these issues are addressed.

They were very patient answering our many questions and helping us pick out just the right trees to replace several oaks that we recently lost. It was great knowing that all their trees come from their farm in Texas. Once we picked our trees from their large lot, they carefully marked them as ours to ensure those were the ones that showed up on delivery day. Their delivery team was respectful, helpful in finalizing placement of each tree, careful with the trees and our yard, and cleaned up nicely. It took 2 calls and 2 emails before I was finally contacted for the injections (March 25). Now, I've called the store, my salesperson and emailed the booking dept checking status on tree trimming. Finally got an email April 13th that says "I do see you purchased it, but it did not populate on my end. I will reach out about the date as soon as I receive that paperwork." It's April 16th and no response or update. I have used another tree trimmer in the past who comes out same day! It's ridiculous at this point. If you're busy at least tell me. Will not use them for maintenance in the future.

I received a call saying a plant I purchased had actually been sold to someone else and that I needed to return it. I explained that the plant had already been installed in my yard. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, I was accused of knowingly taking a plant that wasn't mine... which makes no sense. How would any customer possibly know that? Mistakes happen, I understand that. But how a business handles those mistakes is what really matters. Being blamed for something completely out of my control, after being a loyal customer, was disappointing and frustrating. I hope they take a closer look at how they handle customer issues moving forward. This experience definitely changed my perception. I would NOT recommend .

Funny how people want bargains galore but can't give a brand new business 10 minutes to open before going on a tear. It's alright aside from the interesting selection of books and rugs. Go have a look around. The only real complaint is that the checkout process is SLOWWW AS F***. Please tell the cashiers to focus on efficiency. The young man working on the afternoon of 2/16/24 needs to be retrained. He had to call for a manager every ten minutes. That was starting to get on my nerves because I've worked retail before and that's just a pain in the butt. The store wasn't busy either. My friend got a lot of stuff but she and I have decided that we probably won't come back. Most of the merchandise is name brand (if that matters to you). Prices were alright. They're not that cheap (but nothing is anymore).
