So disappointed. I purchased 2 trees here about 3 years ago. Wonderful experience and service. A month ago (March 13th) I purchased some maintenance: soil injections for 7 trees and tree trimming for 2 trees. It took 2 calls and 2 emails before I was finally contacted for the injections (March 25). Now, I've called the store, my salesperson and emailed the booking dept checking status on tree trimming. Finally got an email April 13th that says "I do see you purchased it, but it did not populate on my end. I will reach out about the date as soon as I receive that paperwork." It's April 16th and no response or update. I have used another tree trimmer in the past who comes out same day! It's ridiculous at this point. If you're busy at least tell me. Will not use them for maintenance in the future. read more

In the fall of 2025 I spent over $7k on landscaping with this company. I was very pleased with them until it came time to discuss my warranty plan due to a tree that died. I've placed at least 6-8 calls and numerous emails to them since February. A fig tree we purchased in the fall has died, and we bought the service plan as well. I've been promised by 5 different people including the old and new manager that I will be helped but have yet to be. Nobody will even come out and seethe tree which is dead, and even though I've been told I will get a replacement, they ghost me again. I'm considering the service plan a breach of contract because although I bought it, they won't come see and replace our new tree. I've also sent pics every time I called or emailed because they asked each time. I'm furious and my next contact is the better business bureau and maybe an attorney. Carrollton location. Well, the price was fair but after that the entire thing falls apart. I can't get anyone to do more than answer the phone, promise to call back or come by and NOT! I bought three trees - one died and I had to STALK them to get a replacement - took 8 weeks! And it wasn't free - you have to pay to have the year warranty so not free! The replacement isn't planted correctly according to their experts and nothing has been done ! TERRIBLE! And I have called multiple locations hoping for better results but nothing I am specifically using the Dallas/grapevine but not sure aly are better. Beware!! read more

I spoke with the management over the phone and was lead to believe there is a variety of options of fragrant plants to choose from so I drove over 40 minutes to the Moon Valley Nursery. The GPS will take you to the back of the nursery, after about 30- 40 minutes I had to move my vehicle to let the trucks enter and park where I had parked. The staff told me which way to drive to get to the original main entrance but I wasn't able to find it and GPS would only take me to the same spot as before which is entrance for trucks and staff. By the time I was going to get back, the nursery would close so I decided to drive home instead. Moon Valley Nursery has everything you might find at your local hardware store but with better quality and higher price. It is a great place for remodeling the landscape of your property, it has great options where it comes to large trees and large metal decorations such as dinosaurs. However it doesn't offer a variety of pots, small plants or exotic plants. read more

My wife and I purchased 3 fruit trees from the Carrollton location about 3 months ago. We just had their arborist Christian come by for our first quarterly inspection. Christian was very knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. He treated our trees with the recommended nutrients and carefully inspected them. We have a drainage issue in our backyard, which Christian addressed and made recommendations towards resolving it. I'm not a big review poster. I've probably posted less than a dozen in my life. Quite simply, I was very impressed with Christian and how helpful he was. I probably asked him at least 20 questions, and he answered every one of them. We look forward to enjoying our own fruit soon and feel very comfortable and grateful to have Christian and his expertise on our side. read more

The beginning of this process was not great but was attended to by Alyssa correcting the selection and adjusting the placement of the shrubs with reference to the windows. we are now half way through the year and the company will be replacing some of our plants as we have the warranty. I would give zero starts if possible. Made my purchase and was told that it was an all in price. Then they tried to charge me $1,000 on the day it was supposed to be installed. They argued with me for a week about the $1,000 then finally agreed they had made the mistake. Then the day of install (the 2nd time) I was told after inquiring that the original tree had been sold to someone else, but that they had picked one for me that was great. The tree was in fact not great. Horrible service and bait and switch. Stay away from this place. read more

We were on the hunt for to large Ficus Indian Laurel trees for the front yard of our new house. We were a bit sceptical of Moon Valley at first due to the reputation of being a high priced nursery, but when we compared trees at Moon Valley versus other tree nurseries, the saying of "You Get What You Pay For" is true at Moon Valley. Their trees were far superior to other local nurseries. And the help and guidance we received from our Landscape Designer, Jonnie Arold, was fantastic. Not only did she help us determine which 2 trees we should buy, Jonnie also came to the house to help determine the tree planting location, and then returned when the trees were planted! The US Postal Service is nothing compared to Christian Hall, MVP Tech/Design Pro, with Moon Valley Carrollton and Forney stores!! Christian was running behind due to a much larger than expected job as well as machinery malfunction. But those speed-bumps didn't affect his welcome smile or his can-do attitude as he proceeded to deep root fertilize our new trees. Christian was halfway finished when out of the blue, the winds ferociously kicked up, leaves were flying everywhere as the clouds opened up -- and it started POURING big heavy pelting rain! I am extremely unhappy with the lack of customer service responses from this company and their representatives. Over 2 months ago We were "sold" through a hard sell tactic to purchase over $10,000 of landscaping and pay for all of it entirely in advance. After 45 days of little response a crew did finally show up and planted. But they did not have a $1,000 plant. I cannot get an answer on whether we will ever receive the $1,000 plant but in no way will they refund my money. The planting crew was great. The management and sales come off as grifters. DO NOT USE this company. If you do you risk losing money. read more
