I am extremely unhappy with the lack of customer service responses from this company and their representatives. Over 2 months ago We were "sold" through a hard sell tactic to purchase over $10,000 of landscaping and pay for all of it entirely in advance. After 45 days of little response a crew did finally show up and planted. But they did not have a $1,000 plant. I cannot get an answer on whether we will ever receive the $1,000 plant but in no way will they refund my money. The planting crew was great. The management and sales come off as grifters. DO NOT USE this company. If you do you risk losing money. read more

I walked into this nursery not knowing what to expect. I needed to redo my front landscaping and needed some professional advice. Thomas approached me and after speaking to him for a few minutes, I knew I had come to the right place. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. I only had a small idea of how I wanted my landscaping to look, but Thomas understood immediately. We walked the yard, and he pointed out plants and shrubs for me that he thought would fit the bill. By the end of the visit, I had decided I wanted to have them do the plantings and the annual service they offer. I am going to be renting out my home and will not be close by to keep an eye on the property. Their service will provide me with a level of comfort. Thomas came to my home and together we flagged the property to determine which plants would go where. He offered a lot of help, but also took into consideration my opinion. I also want to praise Stefani who provided support from their home office in each step of the process. I have owned four homes since 1975 and have always done my own landscaping. I went in looking for a crepe myrtle. I was introduced to Terence at the Carrollton location. From the moment I walked in everybody was so helpful and so nice!! They had a gorgeous and large amount of beautiful trees!! I was able to get the crepe myrtle I wanted, we were able to get it scheduled for the following Friday, and on the day of delivery and planting I was contacted by their crew member to let me know they were on their way they actually came earlier than the predicted window time frame. They got straight to work and I believe for in and out within an hour and my tree looks absolutely amazing!! I worked with Sydnee in quality assurance and she was so great and friendly. my wife and i bought 8 bushes from Moon Valley Nurseries recently. Hawaiian Bill helped us pick out the bushes as we had full sun on one side of the house and shade on the other side of the house. Hawaiian Bill sat down with us and discussed what we wanted then showed us our options since we had different sun exposure. He explained to us how to apply the Moon Dust, Moon Juice and the landscape conditioner. Bill was very very helpful understanding this is an investment so our home has curb appeal. Hawaiian Bill provided wonderful customer service and was very knowable. We will return to Moon Valley Nurseries and ask for Hawaiian Bill for future nursery needs. read more

They've got the best plant material. Andrew was able to get me the trees and plants I wanted and even searched for them like a trooper through other sources. Robert supervised the plantings. And this guy knows his plants! He even suggested better irrigation and gave me some tips for the best outcome for my new landscape. They've been great! I highly recommend Moon Valley. I own Brazos RV Resort on the Brazos River in Texas. It is an RV park with two cabins. Each RV lot has identical flower beds planted by the entrance. I insist on uniformity in landscaping. I have two lots that do not have shade trees. I called Moon Valley and told the saleslady I am 67 years old and require trees at least 10 feet tall because I will not live long enough for a smaller tree to grow. I purchased two trees from Moon Valley, a Magnolia, and a Choctaw Pecan. I purchased trees at least 10 feet tall. They would fit in uniformly with both being tall. Moon Valley missed the appointed times and dates for the delivery two times. They failed to give me notice until the last minute. Then on the third try, they arrived when I could not be there. I had a tenant meet them and show them where I wanted the trees planted. When I was able to come to inspect the trees I found a nice magnolia tree that met the 10-foot tall requirement. The pecan tree was around 5-foot-tall with a broken limb. I complained and was told I did not specify the height for the Pecan tree. I have asked them to remove the tree before the roots begin to grow. They refuse. I do not recommend these people. After this, I looked at the BBB reports and looked up Moon Valley's litigation history. This appears to be their way of business. I do not recommend using them. Check the internet for complaints and lawsuits before you purchase from them I wish I had. read more

6 months ago I purchased a very unloved little house in Denton. I have been battling cancer and unable to do any gardening and the climate is not one I was familiar with. I had seen the beautiful palm trees on their site and decided to stop. I was greeted by Nathan Ford whose design concepts, plant knowledge and care for my budget were fantastic. I could not fathom I could be so lucky. We picked the larger plants together and I trusted him to pick the rest. David the manager was also fabulous. Excellent service! I worked with Leighton to remove 2 magnolia trees and two stumps from our yard. They were on time, professional, and went above and beyond. Not only did they do those tasks, but they even removed the rocks around the trees and moved them by our side fence! Such a disappointment from Strongs nursery. This has now become a large tree, commercial nursery with none of the tropicals that Strong offered. The staff knew very little about any of the plants and kept on pushing items they had on the property versus what would be appropriate for my yard a needs.
