They were very patient answering our many questions and helping us pick out just the right trees to replace several oaks that we recently lost. It was great knowing that all their trees come from their farm in Texas. Once we picked our trees from their large lot, they carefully marked them as ours to ensure those were the ones that showed up on delivery day. Their delivery team was respectful, helpful in finalizing placement of each tree, careful with the trees and our yard, and cleaned up nicely. After receiving several flyers from this new nursery we decided to have them come over for a free estimate and consult. The consult was good and we were provided an offer for a couple of services, thoroughly clear an existing flowerbed, remove a tree and soil injections for 2 other trees. Initial offer seemed rather high but then the consultant called the general manager to get us a discount given we would be coming back to replace plants in the flower bed. I had to call and remind the consultant 2 times to schedule the soil injection service as they never reached out to me. The tree removal was okay but they didn't remove the entire stump even though we told them we were going to put grass over the area. Then we made an appointment to meet our consultant to design our new flowerbed bed. First appointment he wasn't there so we spent time with the GM and we discussed what we liked and didn't like which she would relay to our consultant. So a week later we went again to meet the consultant and he had NOT been informed of anything we discussed with the GM, so we had to go through the whole process again. Ultimately picked out the plants and got a design layout. Agreed a date and time for them to come and plant it all. Long story short, some of the plants were damaged (a very expensive whale tail agave) and some of what we chose in the nursery turned out to be shorter when they were delivered. Oh and again we were told we got a manager special pricing....hhmm should have been a warning sign. After the work they ask for feedback where I made all issues known and I was told someone would be reaching out. That was 2 months ago!! I even texted the same number again. No response. Basically, whilst the products and free stuff they give you is all great. There is a lot to be said about the aftercare and customer service. I will definitely be thinking twice before spending my hard earned money at Moon Nurseries. read more

The prices and people are incredible. The only downside that I'm dealing with is how unorganized they are. At the beginning of March I paid my money to have my front yard spruced up. 7 bushes, one tree, old bushes removed, and 2 soil injections to help my yard. It was al supposed to be done by mid April. It took over a month for the bushes to be removed and the new ones installed. Halfway during the install I get a call saying that I might want to add 3 more bushes because the yard looked unbalanced. I ended up paying for that. After the removal and installation my sprinkler did not work and had not heard back about the soil injections. I called my contact guy and he was slow to respond. So my wife got involved. That got managers attentions but I still have a broken sprinkler system and no soil injections. The sprinkler is supposed to be looked at this week. And soil injections at the end of this month. Either they are very busy or do not know how to plan. If they would have said end of May I would not be upset. But I feel that by the time everything gets done, my grass and yard will begin to die. I initially wanted ideas to help my grass. I will update. read more

My 4-year-old twins practically demanded I pull over when they spotted the giant dinosaurs from the road--tiny voices yelling, "STOP! DINOSAURS!" like we were on a prehistoric safari. I didn't stop right then (parenting power move), but curiosity got the best of me, so I circled back to check things out. Best decision ever. I scored not one, but TWO ridiculously cute T-Rex statues at a great price. One was even set for pickup at a different location, which worked out perfectly since they were going to separate yards (because yes, the dinos must roam free in their own territories). I had a little hiccup and reached out about a concern--Elias swooped in like a customer service superhero and got it sorted immediately. He even helped me pick out some Marigolds for my yard. I'm a total newbie when it comes to plants, but with his advice, I'm feeling like a budding garden goddess. Bottom line: go visit this place. The prices leave Home Depot in the dust, the vibes are great, and they've got dinosaurs. What more could you want? I'll be back soon, probably with the twins in tow and maybe even a bigger yard. read more

He pulled up my house on Google, overlaid the plants he suggested over it, worked with me to arrange them to get the look I was wanting and he walked me around the yard to help me understand options. The "white glove service" is all a charade. We spent thousands on over priced palm trees. They were replaced with the warranty we purchased and one employee that came to visit said his manager was tired of replacing our palms. We called two different locations looking for help on what was going on with the palms and every time were told it was just transplant shock and then the palm would die. One of the times they were replaced we drove to the nursery and picked out our palm. They delivered a different one. Turns out they sold the one we picked out. Most likely because they made more money than using it to replace ours under warranty. We were told at the time of sale there were arborists that will come in person to inspect them and see what's going on. This happened once or twice but it seems he wasn't well versed in cold hardy palms. After being so disappointed with the service after spending nearly $7,000 I did some research and learned local nurseries sell the same for fractions of the cost. read more

Madie came out and surveyed our needs; the next day she walked the nursery with us as we picked out our trees. She was super polite and helpful. I have been dealing with moon nursery of Mckinney since November of 2024 , having to open 2 disputes with Wells Fargo which was the financing outfit they persuaded me to finance through. I purchased almost 12K worth of trees from them last year ! Each tree they called " super " trees cost me over $450 . They claimed they are grown in pots , and so when planted in the ground, they grow fast and the fruit trees will fruit the fist summer after planting. Well, more that 1/2 of the trees we ordered were unavailable, and not delivered. The trees they did plant ( 5 fruit trees) , all were less than an inch in diameter and less than 5 ft tall and all died less than 3 months. A manager ( MJ) came to my house, saw the pathetic dead trees and said he would exchange my trees with the next bigger size ( called HUGE trees) but he then left the company. I kept emailing and calling , but I was ignored. So I opened a dispute with Wells Fargo. Elias who took over the case, replaced the trees, that died and credited me for all other trees that they did not deliver. Since he owned the problem, I ordered two more trees a pistache and a red berry holly. The dispute closed in MARCH 2025, BUT I received a letter from Wells fargo that they should have not credited me for $2145.00 ! I called Elias, but he had left the company ! Once again, I was charged for trees not delivered ! and meanwhile, the replacement pomegranate tree died too and none of the trees except the fig fruited this summer , and the figs are about the size of a quarter. I had to open another dispute with proof as I am writing here. I called the nursery , and was transferred to a very RUDE man named Scott, who said " I don't need any information from you , I will do my own research" . Well that's what I was afraid of, and sure enough, 2 months later, no resolution. PAM from Wells Fargo has sent a request to their headquarters as well, they are ignoring her at Wells Fargo too. I talked to the supervisor of the dispute Dept. today and JOE informed me that they sent the request to clarify to them on 8/12 . Today is 8/27 and no news. The head quarters is in AZ , so good luck finding the registered agent to be able to "serve" in order to take them to small claims court in TX ! I now have to hire an attorney and sue them . We had two large shrubs removed and two dozen new shrubs planted to replace freeze loss from a few years ago. The plants and the service crews were top notch, this is a full service nursery with prices similar to the big box home improvement centers. Our only issue was poor communication initially with the sales team due to staff turnover. Be prepared to just visit the store to get questions answered outside of appointments. read more

Moon Valley Nurseries was fantastic to deal with. We had to replace numerous junipers, after others had died, over summer 2024, by another company. Our salesman, Andrew Fatten, was vey knowledgable and patient. The one most positive information given, was that all of there inventory is grown in Texas, not shipped from another state. That way the inventory is used to conditions in the same state. Company actually has a 1 year warranty, no questions or issues. read more

After talking with Andrew Fatten, we decided to purchase a "Huge" Holly (to replace the one our previous landscaper installed and quickly died) as well as a "Giant" Maple to fill an empty space.
