When I was asked what style I wanted, I said zero on the side and back blended to a one on top. She questioned my choice and also pointed to a sign asking what style I would rather have. Folks, I've had my hair done the same way for 30 years, so don't need to be second guessed. During the early part of the cut, she asked "what are all these pimples on your head/neck, there are a lot of them?" Taken aback somewhat, I told her that I had Neurofibromatosis, and that they were small tumors. When she was done with the initial cut, it was a one on the side. She seemed irritated when I reiterated my desire for a zero on the side/back. Steer clear unless you want to be insulted and second guessed about your choice of styling.

My daughter has very thick hair, and Niyah worked so patiently and diligently to make sure every twist was done beautifully. More importantly, she made my daughter feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire appointment. Her kindness and professionalism were evident from start to finish. I also want to recognize **Shannon**, who was assisting during the appointment. She took the time to explain the importance of maintaining healthy hair and recommended the next steps for a healthy trim. I really appreciated the education and care they both provided. One thing that really stood out to me was that Niyah didn't just style my daughter's hair--she educated us. She showed us the products she was using, explained why she chose them, and recommended products we could use at home to help maintain my daughter's healthy natural hair. That level of care meant so much to us. We've been searching for what feels like forever to find a salon that truly specializes in **natural hair and prioritizes its health**, and I honestly feel like we've finally found it. Two days later, my daughter's hair is still moisturized, shiny, and looks just as beautiful as the day it was done. She's a competitive dancer, and despite practices and rehearsals, her twists have stayed perfectly in place. If you're looking for stylists who genuinely care about healthy natural hair while delivering beautiful results, I wholeheartedly recommend Niyah and Shannon. We are so grateful for the experience and will absolutely be back!
