Called2arms have two locations and this is the gun store whereas the other is the range. However soon they will be relocated to the range. I called around Stockton to find a place willing to do PPT without magazines and Called2arms is able to help out. The store has many new and old guns are the people are friendly and efficient. I wish more stores are like this in that they are willing to help customers instead of just trying to get money from the customers. The PPT was super fast and you can tell they want to help you get it done quickly. I always show appreciation for stores that don't charge extra with hidden fees because they don't make money on it and their attitude tells me what kind of store it is. Called2arms is a great store in that respect. If this were any closer I'm sure I'll hang out more here. read more

The staff and service here has bar none been the best that I've experienced!!! It's been years since I've visited a gun shop. What called me back was my cousin wanted to do a PPT transaction. Called2Arms was close to his place and he spoke very highly of this place. It takes more than and hour to visit this shop, but I can see why I would be a repeat customer. When arriving we were warmly greeted by the staff and attended to immediately. It was kind of a slow day at the shop when we were there. From start to finish our transaction went very smoothly, with the help of the knowledgeable staff. I waited the mandatory 10 days to pick up my M&P Shield. I came to this store from Oakland as a first timer and I am so impressed. I have heard horror stories lately from my friends (who are licensed) that have waited hours in line at other stores and left empty handed but my experience was nothing like that. Jeff greeted me and he was very very responsive to me. I felt so silly not knowing anything but he asked all the right questions and didn't make me feel uncomfortable about beings newbie. He was very informative, patient and fast! He made a couple of suggestions for a first timer, showed me how to hold it, load and clean it. We went over the type of rounds and other accessories, the laws in California and he even suggested extra safety suggestions. I was so impressed and felt so important. My total experience was the best! I literally purchased everything I needed, including taking the test and getting my laminated license; all this took place within 2 hours. I really like how informed the entire staff were but Jeff definitely left an impression. I have been telling all my friends about this place. I'm so impressed with the customer service. Truly a bastion of hope for the second amendment. Set out to buy an M&P 15-22 Sport, but unfortunately for me the only one available came with the factory 25-round magazine. Being that we're stuck in the Democratic People's Republic of California and I am not LE, I'd be taking a loss on the deal as they'd retain the mag. Went along with it anyway since these are unprecedented times we're living in. Now they didn't have to do this, they really had no obligation to, but these gentlemen were honorable enough to order me a replacement 10-round mag separately and swap it out at no additional charge. I did not expect them to do this and they could have easily made twice the money off of one 25-rounder, but they went above and beyond to make sure I was leaving satisfied with my purchase. Spectacular service. Respect earned. Repeat customer inbound. Also FYSA, remember to wear a mask. Well have been debating for months on whether or not to write a review. So many reasons not to, but then there are ones that do matter. Most of the guys working there are good and knowledgeable. But if you listen carefully most of them aren't exactly happy there. Made me think couldn't be the merchandise as there are lots of options. Place is busy, so that didn't make sense. Then the shoe dropped. The owner - I think his name is Jerry - sounds like a real piece of work...if you know what I mean. From what I was able to gather I decided I won't buy anything else from him. Great gun shop, these guys were able to let me do a PPT during the COVID-19 outbreak. I drove 60 miles to get an off roster Gen4 Glock 21, they almost didn't let us in because of the line that accumulated behind me and the seller, but after i explained to him that i drove over an hour away and that we were here before the line formed, they helped me out and i was able to get my glock. read more

I was told by your reps that you had customers that had layaways that went on for a year, but you made accommodations for that customer. I know the contract that i signed, but was told that accommodations had been made for customers that had certain issues going on. Evidently i didnt fit that criteria. Lol. It is what it is. I purchased my gun from you guys and recieved it not too long ago. When i t came to the layaway that my wife had, it was a different story. I know the people say anything to make a sale though. Just about a month ago I purchased my first firearm from Called2Arms. Because of the high demand and short supply of firearms in America today, they typically show their inventory on Facebook a day or two prior to putting it on sale. That way you know EXACTLY what they have available for purchase. It's a real timesaver if you're driving in from out of town. While perusing their FB page I saw they had four Glocks available for their August 12th sale. The store opened at 10am and I had my eye set on one of those Glocks. I drove out from Oakland early, hoping to be the first person standing in line when the doors opened. I got there at about 8am and there were already three people waiting ahead of me. Doing the math I figured I was a lock to get one of those Glocks. So it's now approaching 10am and there are about 12 people waiting in line to get into the store. This whole experience is reminding me of the days when you had get up at 5am to go stand in line at Tower Records to buy tickets to see Springsteen or Prince. The doors finally open and everyone enters in an orderly manner. They have it all set up for social distancing and EVERYONE is required to wear a mask. They had about three employees working the counter, so things moved pretty quickly, as quickly as they can when purchasing a new firearm in CA. When it was finally my turn, I told the gentleman helping me that I wanted to purchase one of the four Glocks that were advertised the night before on FB. He told me they were all gone. I asked him how that was possible, with only three customers in front of me? He said he didn't know and asked if I wanted to purchase something else. I asked, "What else do you have in 9mm?" He showed me two other options, but told me one of them, the M&P Shield, wasn't suited for 9mm+P ammunition. Given that +P ammo was all they had in stock, the M&P was out. I later learned the Shield actually can handle +P ammo, but that's irrelevant now. He then showed me a Beretta PX4 Storm. I didn't necessarily like the way it felt in my hand with the slick grip, but after that drive and wait, I wasn't about to leave empty-handed. So I bought it. Turns out there is a remedy for the slick grip, so it's no big deal. Then after filling out a bunch of paperwork, including a background check, I headed home to Oakland. About an hour later I'm checking the Called2Arms FB page, and I see they have another five G19s and two G17s in stock, and they would be going on sale in 15 MINUTES! I called the store and told Alex that I was just there about an hour ago, specifically to buy a Glock, and asked if he could hold one for me. He told me they had all been sold. Yeah, I was pretty pissed. I then posted a response on their FB page, letting them know how I felt about that experience. Surprisingly, I received a response from the owner of the store, Jerry Sterner. He apologized for the situation and told me he would make it right. Which he did. I was able to purchase the gun I wanted. After holding that Glock in my hand, I immediately understood why it was the most popular handgun in America. I've worked in B2B sales for over 20 years. The one thing that virtually all clients told me really mattered to them when choosing a vendor, was how they responded to adversity. EVERYONE makes mistakes, most people understand this. What they wanted to know was how a vendor would respond if something went south. Would they not return phone calls and run from adversity, or would they embrace it and make things right? Jerry falls into the latter category. He is old school when it comes to customer service. I've never met Jerry, but my intuition tells me that his word is his bond. Even though it's a bit of a pain to drive out to Modesto from Oakland, Called2Arms will most likely be the only gun shop in Northern CA that I do business with. They have some good people working behind the counter and their pricing is fair. I really like Eddie and Jeff. They are both very knowledgeable and patient when answering questions. Jerry is fortunate to have them as employees and I just wanted to give them a shout out. If you are thinking about purchasing your first firearm, this is a good place to do it. I would say about 80% of my firearms were purchased through these guys. I've met Jerry on several occasions, he's a very knowledgeable and friendly guy. Let me start by saying we had previously went to other gun shops and had horrible experiences and these experiences put me off wanting or going to look for firearms. Then my husband suggested going to Called2Arms. It was one of the best decisions we have made. I thought I was only going to make single purchase, and that is not the case. We have went back countless times for firearms or ammunition. The staff at Called2Arms is beyond excellent, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The incredible employees that I have had help me are Alex, Eddie, and Richard to name a few. In reality every single employee has been great. They acknowledge you upon entering the store, even if it is busy they let you know they will be with you shortly. None of the employees are pushy with a sale, ever. If you want to look at firearms or just have a billion questions, every single one has taken their time with me and answering my questions. I'm a woman and they treated me the exact same a man. I'm happy with every purchase I have made because of the employees and them being so helpful. Every firearm I own has been purchased at Called2Arms. We have met the owner Jerry a handful of times, and he is very nice, super personable and friendly. He always makes a point to ask us even if we are be helped How is our day going? or If we are finding everything okay? I have called on the phone with questions and every person who had picked up has been attentive and helpful. I have been to this location over a dozen times, always a relaxed environment. Always clean and organized. I will and have continued going to Called2Arms and always look forward to the next visit. I went to Called3Arms to get my 1st handgun. They were able to order it for me, Took my Firearms safety test there also. I had never owned a gun before so they kindly walked me through the steps. I went to get my second handgun there as well. It's a somewhat small shop and currently doesn't have much inventory or inventory is always sold out. But they do their best to always post on their social media to say when and what they have on stock ahead of time. Owners are genuine people.
