We had such a great experience at Calle Dragones! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away, which always sets the tone for the night. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated-such a fun, vibrant atmosphere. Our waiter, Marlon, truly made the experience exceptional. He was attentive, accommodating, and made sure everything came out perfectly. We ordered a variety of dishes including the octopus, dumplings, burrata, ceviche, short ribs, branzino, arroz con pollo, and a few sides and every single dish was delicious. You can really tell there's care put into both the flavors and presentation. The band was super entertaining and added so much energy to the night it really made the whole experience feel special for my birthday. Highly recommend especially if you get Marlon as your waiter. We absolutely loved him and will definitely be back!

This is a solid 5 star experience, through and through. The food, the service, the drinks, the entertainment, the atmosphere, the decor... Showed up at 6pm and we were so enthralled that we continued to order food and drinks in order to stay for the live music (live music with dinner begins closer to 8pm). Brought our kids who also loved every moment! Food is fantastic and the drinks are super strong. We felt like we were long term customers based on how we were treated - seriously felt like old friends the entire night. We will be back next week when more family comes into town!

What an experience Calle de Dragones has been! The minute you pass through its doors you're transported back to 50's cuban glamour. The wait staff is unbelievable. The menu is spectacular and the chef delivers! I had the ropa Vieja risotto and my husband the arros con pollo. Outstanding. I highly recommend Calle de Dragones for those that enjoy time traveling!!

Came here after being told no seating available at La cafe trova just down the block. So glad I decided to give this a try. The seating is beautiful. The staff is super friendly and helpful in giving you food recs. The food was good and I would return when in the area again. The drinks were great! The live music was wonderful and elevated the dining experience. We went on a Friday night.

Calle Dragones is a hidden gem that brings the vibrant spirit of Cuba and Latin America right into the heart of Miami. From the moment you walk in, you're transported by the lively decor and authentic atmosphere that perfectly sets the tone for a fun and flavorful experience. The menu offers a fantastic range of dishes with a Cuban twist, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The ropa vieja was tender and juicy, with a depth of flavor that made it clear this dish was made with care. We also enjoyed the ceviche, which was fresh and tangy, perfectly balancing citrus and spice. The cocktails were outstanding--creative, refreshing, and served with flair. We tried the mojito and a rum-based cocktail with tropical fruit, both of which complemented the food wonderfully.

my friends and I stumbled upon this place when the restaurant we were going to was closed for a private event. It was a pleasant surprise. It is uniquely designed, and you can tell that time has gone into it. The staff was super friendly, very attentive from the start. We sat at the bar which had a nice vibe and good music. The food was very tasty and delicious and Asian Cuban fusion style menu. It does cater to larger groups and it's fine for small parties. It is a little bit pricey, but that can be expected as little Havana is quite touristic.

We came on a Friday afternoon. Super cool spot with an exotic decor and great Cuban music. Even though we arrived at 5:15pm, they sat us in the large, empty, main seating area. We of course were there for happy hour, but they don't offer happy hour in the restaurant area, only the bar. There was such a difference in prices that we got up and went to the bar area. Drinks and bar bites were very good, especially the lychee martini! Would not come for dinner with such high prices, but the happy hour is totally worth it.

Truly a hidden gem on the quieter side of Calle Ocho. With limited street parking and live performances later in the evening, this is definitely a first stop of the night kind of place for me. They have happy hour from 5pm-7:30pm, and on the weekend we went, we were the only party there for the majority of that time frame. I almost don't want to share the secret of Calle Dragones, but I want them to stick around. Their indoor space is decorated like a theater, with sculptures and velvet seating in the main dining room. Their outdoor space, when the weather is nice, have a few bar tops and a smoking area. During HH, their delicious and beautiful cocktails are $8-10. The bartenders are friendly, and let us see all the fun glassware before we picked our drinks. Some are creative, some are classic, some are downright dangerous because they're so well-made, and we stayed one round longer than we had planned because we loved the live music that started around 7pm. The food...is another story. Come with high expectations for drinks, and low expectations for food. Of the bites we ordered, 3 out of the 5 we chose were unavailable. The pork belly and maduros were 3 rangoon shaped dumplings that weren't satisfying, and the chicken croquetas were better but a little greasy in a way that didn't match the cocktails we were enjoying. All in all, I enjoyed this spot for a drink or three, but make plans to dine elsewhere.

Came to celebrate a friend's birthday, stayed and enjoyed delish food & craft cocktails. The black bean risotto & vaca frita was flavorful and plentiful! Great ambience, and the nostalgia Cuba decor adds to the supperclub vibes.

My husband and I recently came here for pre-dinner drinks and apps on a date night. It was 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday and the place was absolutely empty - but I'm sure it picks up in the evening! We sat at the bar and got a few drinks and tried the ahi tuna (small portion, good happy hour price, and good flavor). The service was fine - we were told they didn't have the tuna, order a different appetizer, and then the tuna came out anyways. We will definitely come back to try a full dinner service.

The food was delicious! This restaurant is in downtown 8th street and portrays a Cuban/Asian fusion within their dishes. The vibes were spectacular. We came on a Sunday evening and surprisingly it wasn't packed. The service was great since it wasn't too busy we were assisted right away to our table. We made a reservation and didn't have to wait. The server allowed me to pick our table. I ordered the 3 course meal and there were a couple of different choices to chose from. As an appetizer I had the chicken croquettes which were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. You can tell they made them fresh because they were nice and warm. As an entree I had the Asian inspired shrimp which was on a bed of rice noodles and veggies. I enjoyed it, I wish there were a bit more of the rice noodles though. My friend enjoyed the octopus that was drenched in a puréed yuca, this was extremely yummy. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. We ordered a few drinks; I had a couple espresso martinis which were good. The Celsius mojito was amazing, I ordered it with the mango, passionfruit Celsius. It really gives it a nice wist on the original mojito. The server provided a round of shots for my friends birthday that were complimentary, they tasted like mini piña coladas. The crema de catalana was good but was more of a rice pudding consistency, not what I was expecting but still good. Also 20% gratuity was already included, our server was really great so he deserved it. Overall we had a great time at Calle Dragones, would come back. PS there is a lot across the street where you can park or street parking as well.

Cuba, Cuba, Cuba... what have you done to me? For me, 10/10! 100%! Can you just make a chair and sign for me at your beautiful bar? Ok, sometimes you just want cabaret and great rum with food! Come down here and be the judge for yourself! Happy Hour is a great deal for those fighting inflation in the U.S. right now. From the drinks, service, ambiance and music, it's a win! Make a reservation and be open minded. The history of this place and the chef along with the talented Bartenders (Gracias Juan) make it a beautiful marriage! I didn't want to leave. It's all about the intimacy and small details. They say cabaret started in Paris in 1881. Was brought to the Stars and Stripes in 1911. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Looking forward to my return. Bring the good rum out and I'll see you on a rainy day. Get ready to dance around the tables and let your inner self be free! See you soon! Xoxo

Calle Dragones offers a unique dinner and show experience that's worth trying. The fact that they have different themes every night adds to its allure. I recommend visiting on Wednesday or Friday nights when they host "Havana Nights" themed events with live performances every half an hour. The atmosphere during these nights is truly indescribable, and it's an experience you'll want to witness firsthand. The ambience and restaurant decor gives off Scarface vibes, so unique and different. It does not feel like you are even a Miami. Now, let's talk about the food. For appetizer we got the seafood dumpling and the vegetable gyozas and the maripositas de lechon, one was not better than the other , they were so so so tasty and delicious. For my meal i had the duck fried rice, and it was so delicious that I didn't want to finish it, just so I could savor the leftovers the next day. Although I was not crazy about the dessert options, the food is well worth going and Ofcourse without having to mention not the great entertainment making it a memorable destination for a night out in Miami.

At what time does the show start on Saturday night?

It may vary because we did go for Miami spice but it was around 830. It was around an hour and the bar does a little dance show also.

Is it family friendly or a night club?

I would say it's family-friendly. But please call the restaurant before. Sometimes there are different dancers.

    Is there valet parking?

You can park across the street in the parking lot for $20 or you can street parking along eighth Street with a meter. You can also park in the back streets for free In designated spaces.

It is a great way to try a bunch of items. My friend and I also ordered the ropa vieja and the Cuban sandwich to share. The ropa vieja is life changing - order it, you will not be disappointed. So flavorful and tender! The cuban sandwich was also really good, but a bit cheesier than others I have had. There was a ton of live music happening in both the front and the back of the restaurant. It is a very lively, fun place. The only downside is because it is so busy, the service is a little on the slower side but honestly who cares. We ordered a ton, and right off the bat: if you love croquetas and empanadas, order extra. They're on the smaller side and come individually, but they are so good they disappear fast. The beef empanadas were a 10/10 perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chicken empanadas didn't hit the same for me, but the jamón croquetas? Absolutely insane. A must. For appetizers, the prawns al ajillo were delicious super flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was good, but not my favorite. It leaned a bit bland for my taste, even with the sauce. Now, the must-get: the carnitas with pickled onions. Easily one of the best dishes of the night so flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced. For entrées, we had the ribeye steak and arroz con pollo, plus sides of tostones and yuca. Everything here delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right not overly salty. The arroz con pollo was phenomenal, the kind of dish you could eat every single day. The tostones were crispy and tossed in garlic, which took the flavor to another level, and the yuca was melt-in-your-mouth good. I also ordered a mojito, which unfortunately was very watered down, I barely got any of that classic mojito flavor. Service overall was solid, especially considering how loud the restaurant gets it was honestly hard to hear each other at the table, so shoutout to our server for keeping everything straight. The appetizers came out quickly, back-to-back, which we loved. The only downside was the wait for the entrées they took quite a while after we finished the apps, even though we ordered everything at once. Overall, amazing food, great energy, and definitely worth going just be prepared for a lively (and loud) atmosphere.

Bar Nancy did not have a cover charge which was nice. The bar is decorated like a pirate ship with many nautical touches. It is named for the brigantine Nancy, which transported war supplies during the American Revolution. The room the bar is located in was small, dark, hot, and crowded. Many people enjoyed themselves on the dance floor in front of the DJ. They also have a backyard area that was popular. My favorite room was the one between the two. It was decorated like the Captains quarters with a couch and comfortable chairs. I could still enjoy the music and more importantly, the air conditioning. During the night I had a delicious Amaretto Sour. Despite the dive bar surroundings, it was a hefty $15.
