It's a good concept and really nice guys who run the food truck but the food itself is just okay. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap. The chicken inside wasn't properly trimmed, as it seemed to be cooked via boiling and there were pieces of fat attached; boiled fat pieces aren't the most appetizing bites to take. Additionally, the wrap itself was sloppily wrapped, and all the insides of the wrap would fall out from the bottom. Their menu describes their wraps as 'loaded with veggies', which is false advertising. I ordered the Wildfire and the only thing in it that resembled 'veggies' was a handful of spring mix. I had wraps from here previously and was always offered my choice of cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, onions, etc. but that is no longer the case. They came to my apt complex and we were initially excited to try fresh healthy offerings their menu listed. The owner was pleasant not very apt to describe or recommend the food in depth. We ordered Greek salad and a Greek wrap. The salad was supposed to have a cider vinaigrette but it tasted like honey mustard. The chicken was the equivalent of the Tyson's frozen chicken breast strips you microwave and the Greek wrap had an odd color meat that was not eaten. Hard pass on this truck! read more

Eating a Thai wrap as I am typing the review. The wrap is doused in sweet sauce that has a hint of peanut flavor. The sauce is way too sweet and overpowers everything. I would've been ok with a plain chicken wrap instead. It advertised to have taken so I thought it was like an Asian fusion dish like the ramen burger. The ramen is raw. They didn't even cook the ramen. My suggestion is to cook the ramen before including it inside and completely changing the sauce. The staff was friendly and served us fast, but their food quality is just not there. My wife and I had the buffalo wrap. The lettuce was definitely bagged, perhaps Fresh Express, the shredded cheese was American, the buffalo sauce tasted of Tobasco mixed with Hidden Valley ranch dressing, and the chicken seemed very processed, reminiscent of cubed, pre-packaged Oscar Meyer deli meat. The price was steep at $10 per wrap for that low of quality. Nothing about the meal was appetizing. We both had a few bites and discarded the food. I don't mean to be cruel, but guys this isn't going to cut it for the Denver food truck scene. If the food quality doesn't change, you will be going out of business eventually. read more

The "loaded with veggies" was explained as lettuce, carrots, cucumber and red pepper but was only bagged shredded lettuce like you would get from Subway with some shredded carrot. I stumbled upon this food truck along with several others. The wraps are huge and totally filling. They are loaded with veggies and a good balance of meat. The staff is incredible and super fast. This food is not processed as previously mentioned and completely fresh. It's also the cleanest food truck I have ever scene. I've had both the wildfire and buffalo chicken wraps and was not disappointed in either. This is a health conscious food truck yet I was stuffed after one buffalo chicken wrap. It's a change of pace to have something like this not in the main stream of burgers and pizzas all the time. You won't be dissappointed. read more

Guy was in the window and they were still serving. I ordered two buffalo chicken wraps. Service was quick and friendly, despite the fact that they probably wanted to roll on out of there since the event had ended, so huge points for that. That sandwich tho omg! The ingredients looked simple enough (so simple I was worried but it was packed with chicken and cheese and leaf lettuce which was good cuz I hate romaine) but wow! I was halfway through it and had to set it down and walk away it was so good! Will be back to try the Thai one next time I see them. read more

We visited the Botanic Gardens Lavender Fest this weekend. We arrived and immediately went to the food truck area where we found California Wrap Runner Truck. There was a line, but it didn't appear to be too long. There were 10-13 people in front of us. The line was moving slow, which should have been my first warning sign. We waited in line for a total of 25min. This was plenty of time for me to observe two people taking orders and making wraps. All the food was pre packaged and some wraps needed microwaved. Not sure what takes so long, but we stuck it out and finally ordered. We were quoted a 10min wait for our two wraps. 20min go by and it started to rain. I started asking others how long they have been waiting. Most have been waiting 30min AFTER they ordered. Finally they call our name. So a total wait time of 55min waiting for two mediocre wraps that contained all pre packaged ingredients. Shortly after the start of rain it turned into a thunderstorm. I have so much regret choosing this food truck. I was unable to enjoy the lavender fest and ate my wrap in the pouring thunderstorm while determined to glimpse at the lavender before being told to go home by botanic garden employees because of heavy rain and lightning. read more

I have celiac disease, so eating out is always a gamble. These guys were amazing! The salad was very good, not earth-shattering, but I mean...it's a salad. However, they listened to me about my illness, changed their gloves and took extra precautions to make sure my food was safe. And that speaks highly to me! A friend recommended this place and I was excited to give them a try. The food coming out of the truck looked delicious but I was welcomed by something very unpleasant. The friendly faces that greeted me were not at all the problem. The personal hygiene of these two workers and their sloppy "just rolled out of bed" look was not only unprofessional, but below par for any restaurant business. I should smell the aroma of food coming from the windows of any food truck, not an overwhelming smell of body odor. Take pride in how you present yourselves to others or you risk permanently branding your business as sloppy and lose many more customers! I unfortunately lost my appetite and was unable to eat my Southwest wrap, but my husband said it was AMAZING. I've come to expect a lot from food trucks. When I think of food trucks, I think of carefully crafted food from a small business owner who cares about quality. This is not the case with California Wrap Runner. I initially wanted to order the Coastal Bowl, which has albacore tuna in it. I asked about the quality of the tuna, and was told it came out of a can. As someone who detests canned tuna, I settled with the Wildfire Bowl. The menu described this as "shredded chicken, crispy bacon, spicy wildfire sauce and loaded with veggies". The chicken is actually cubed pressed/processed meat, the bacon appears to be microwaved (it too seems to be overly processed, and not the least bit crispy), and the "loaded with veggies" consists of shredded iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots that appear to have come from cheap bagged iceberg salad mix. I noticed a couple of super tiny pieces of jalapeno or bell pepper mixed in there, but they were so few and far between that I could've counted the number of pieces on two hands. If you love processed food that is thrown together without care, this is the place for you. But if you're expecting quality, you should look elsewhere. Thankfully, Civic Center Eats has a lot of trucks to choose from. I won't be choosing California Wrap Runner again. read more

We had Wrap Runner up for a catering event for our company picnic for 250 people. They were able to do trays of the wraps plus salad and had offerings for Sun Chips and other items. They were on time for arrival, did a nice set-up, provided more than enough food for our team and the staff was courteous and helpful.
