I first checked with Home Depot and other companies, but their prices were over my budget. I found iHomeShutters on Yelp and sent an inquiry. David got back to me immediately and we scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time to take measurements, showed me different shade options, and explained the pros and cons of zebra shades in detail. David suggested doing motorized for the big window because it's too large for manual, and it turned out beautifully. I ended up choosing zebra shades, motorized for the large windows and manual for the rest. The shades arrived a week earlier than expected. On installation day, Yeyo showed up early and installed all 12 windows super fast. He also cleaned up afterward. All the shades turned out beautifully. I'm a very happy customer and highly recommend iHomeShutters to everyone.

My shutters and blinds turned out great and still work like new. I've only ever lived in houses with older corded blinds, so making the switch to cordless blinds and shutters has been a game changer. My older blinds were ripped out during the reno process and the windows were bare for a few months. Ciera kindly offered to order me temporary paper shades to help cover the windows as I waited for our new ones to come in. The install was super smooth. I appreciated that they used shoe covers inside and made sure to vacuum and clean up the best they could. I'm glad I was able to support a local, family-business that sells high quality products. I had a pleasant experience working with the team and highly recommend to others!

They went the extra mile, from bringing out sample books so we could pick the perfect colors to providing temporary stick-on blinds while we waited for our order. The blackout shades in the bedrooms are awesome, and the pricing was very reasonable. We'll definitely use them again in the future. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Service, Quality, and Value…read more Working with Brooks at Creative Shades was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I placed my order to the final installation, every step was handled with professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are exceptional, and the finished window treatments completely transformed the space. What really stood out was the value. The pricing was fair, transparent, and competitive, especially considering the level of expertise, customization, and service provided. It's rare to find a company that delivers this combination of quality and affordability. Creative Shades is, without question, the best window treatment company in the San Ramon Valley. I'm thrilled with the results and would recommend Brooks to anyone looking for top‑tier work and true long‑term value.

At the time we were doing remodeling of our home so we couldn't have them install the shutters right away. They were very accommodating with our time frame. We think the pricing was fair as well. I don't remember pricing though but I do remember that my parents thought it was fair value. I totally forgot about them until my mom asked me last night because her friend wanted to get shutters installed so my mom asked me to find this place's info to send to her friend. :)

We were interested in changing them out for motorized shades and Rommel came out to our home for the consultation. He explained that the original cellular shades could not be retro-fitted to be motorized, so we would have to buy new sets. No problem - and totally understandable! Rommel was very patient and thorough with his explanation of why and working with us to understand our project. We ended up purchasing four sets of shades for our primary bedroom to cover two large windows with a two-layer, motorized system of black-out and light-filtering cellular shades. Rommel's installation team (Rene and Martin) were amazing - super fast, diligent, and competent! They also moved the original set of cellular shades we had to our living room, which meant we didn't lose them after all! They also updated the cord pulls for the original set, which we appreciated. The motorized shades have been such a wonderful addition to our master bedroom! We love the total darkness it provides for sleeping in -- and the automatic scheduler to lower / raise the shades as well has proven very convenient. We are VERY pleased with this upgrade. Overall, JMK Shutters offers a comprehensive, customer-first experience. Their team is knowledgeable, competent, and on-time. We have only good things to say about Rommel, Rene, and Martin and would consider them again for future work.

Above and Beyond! Exceptional Service and Beautiful Results!…read more After a frustrating experience with Homerilla curtains and a failed track system, we were beginning to wonder whether we'd ever achieve the beautiful, high-end look we originally envisioned. Then we found Gladys at Viu Window and Home, Inc. Our situation was particularly challenging because Homerilla's ripple-fold system was manufactured in China using nonstandard components and materials, making it nearly impossible to find replacement carriers compatible with our existing draperies. But Gladys was determined to find a solution. Rather than telling us it couldn't be done or suggesting we purchase entirely new curtains, she went above and beyond, ultimately locating a supplier who could provide an exact match for our unusual ripple-fold carriers. No small feat! Her installation team was equally impressive. They were meticulous, professional, and attentive to every detail, ensuring our curtains hung beautifully and operated smoothly. The finished result is exactly the elegant, custom, high-end look we'd hoped for from the beginning but never achieved with the original Homerilla system. What really sets Gladys apart is her persistence, resourcefulness, and genuine commitment to getting things right. She turned a frustrating situation into a beautiful success. Five stars aren't enough! We couldn't be happier with the results and wholeheartedly recommend Gladys and Viu Window and Home to anyone looking for exceptional service, creative problem-solving, and outstanding workmanship.

One of my louvres broke on one of the shutters so I called Windowology and I spoke with Joe who asked me to send him photos of the broken louvre. We discovered that it had just fallen out because one of the pins holding it in place was broken. Easy fix! Joe said he would be happy to send somebody over but I needed to pay in advance $300 before I could set up an appointment and that would be the cost of the repair. I went on Amazon and bought the pins myself for $7.99 and I put the pin in and I popped the louvre in easily. It just made me so disappointed that a company would treat a customer that way and charge $300 for something that could be fixed for $7.99. A better customer service would've been to let me know about these pins and tell me how to fix it myself and not try to extort money from me after being a good customer. I forgot to mention that after I emailed Joe the photos of my problem he never called me back. I waited three days and had to contact him myself. I definitely would not recommend this company. To make it even more frustrating they are a mile from my home. If I was the owner of the company, I would've stopped by with the seven dollar pin and fixed it myself.
