I highly recommend hiring Martin for your drywall services. He saved our ceilings! We had a complete nightmare experience with a contractor, prior to hiring Martin. The previous contractors removed our popcorn ceilings, re-textured and painted, but our ceilings looked HORRIBLE (see before photos). We sought out bids from multiple contractors and chose Martin, because he was quick to respond, had reasonable prices and I could tell he was experienced. I also appreciated all the photos he had online, so we could see his quality work. We met in person and discussed the best options for our ceilings and he recommended a smooth texture. We agreed on services and pricing and he laid it all out in a contract for us. I was so anxious about hiring a new contractor to work on our ceilings, after having such a terrible experience. He put me at ease by offering that we pay in full at the end of the project, only if we are happy with his work. This showed me that he is very confident in his work. The previous contractors had me pay a portion upfront for supplies. Let me tell you, he did not disappoint! I am so happy with how our ceilings turned out and he was such a pleasure to be around. I was working from home for a few days while he was there and he is genuinely a nice guy. I will mention it took about 8 days to complete the work on a 1,500 sq ft home, because he does it all himself. We did not mind the timeline though, because we wanted it done the right way and it is his quality work throughout the house. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. read more

I had mold in my house and had it abated. I was in need of a contractor to fix the walls that were open. After speaking with 3 different contractors I selected Martin at Rogue Painting. He did a good job with the painting and drywall, but after the job was complete, that's when we started to have problems. He asked for payment before he had finished the job. I paid him at that time, which was my mistake. He never replaced the baseboards, and told me 3 times he was coming, then never showed up. Later, he said after the job was done that he didn't do baseboards. He also took off my electrical outlet plate covers, and when he reinstalled them none of them accepted plugs. He said that was not his problem. I had to keep chasing him to complete the job. He then said he'd come 6 weeks later to finish the job, but never really took responsibility for the unfinished items. He never even responded to me at the end, I regretted paying him, I usually don't pay GC's until the job is closed out, but I trusted him to complete the work as agreed. Beware with him--get everything in writing, even though he will try to avoid that. If it's not in writing and detailed, chances you won't be happy with his work, like I am. read more

Martin painted the outside of my house about 6 months ago. He was always professional, on time, and reasonably priced. If I had any changes or questions on the painting, the trim and accents, Martin was agreeable and also helped with decisions and choices on what color to paint the cut outs or different areas for accent. We had a roof leak which damaged our drywall around the window frame and stained our wooden ceiling. I had reached out to several businesses right before Memorial Day weekend and Martin was the first to respond back with the best price. I shared some pictures of the problem and he conveniently gave me a quote via text. He came to our site within the timeframe he promised and got right to patching up the drywall very nicely and the next day he returned to finish the paint job. He gave it some time to dry and checked again to ensure if any area needed additional touchup. Everything looks as good as new. He's very easy going and great to work with. He was very respectful of our place by taking off his shoes inside our house and carefully covering up furniture before starting the work. He cleaned up very nicely after all the work was done, too. I have my own handyman business and when a call came through for a pretty big size sheetrock job I gave Martin a call. Although I do mini various tasks, sheetrock and mudding is not one of them. I seen his work before as I've used him several other times to take care of drywall jobs. The latest job he took on was quite a big job up two flights of stairs and he was able to get it done and exactly the time quoted and the customers were very happy with the work that he performed. He is not very good. I found alot of places where he had screwed up and he left a hole in our wall as well as got the texturing on the trim and ceiling where he was not supposed to and skipped over a hall closet.
