I have a sad story to tell you, with a very happy ending! When my darling husband retired I surprised him with a brand new 2024 Chevy Colorado. He was so excited, the first place we went where we used the truck to transport some new plants for our garden was Lowe's. While in the parking lot a younger woman decided to try pushing a shopping cart into my husband's new truck when trying to squish it between our truck and her car. Instead of scraping her car she pushed it up against our truck. She put a 4 inch scratch right into the paint on the driver's side while we were sitting inside the truck. My husband was so upset. He confronted her (talking to her from inside the truck) but she gaslit him and left. After she left we got out and saw the scratch. And she kept insisting she did not scratch the truck. I was upset that he didn't get her info or her plates. I thought I'd end up paying the $500 deductible to fix a scratch made by a rude woman. But that wasn't the case. We decided to find out what the damage would cost us. Our insurance company referred us to a top rated place: Caliber Collision. We saw the ratings and thought: Oh Wow! My husband took his truck over to Caliber Collision and they saw the damage and instead of charging us to fix it they quickly buffed it out at no cost! No cost?! Whatttt? You nearly never get that kind of service these days! They made our day! Took the heartache out that I felt and that I know my husband felt too. My grandfather ended up taking his car here, and they actually increased the estimate when he arrived to drop it off for repairs. His appointment was for 10:30 Tuesday and during the drop off process they INCREASED IT. Saying that the rim of the wheel was bent when there wasn't even any impact on the wheel. Sounds like a way to get more money from the insurance company to me. When he picks the car up I'm going to ask to see the parts that were discarded ... because it sounds so shady. My new car got vandalized while I was on vacation in New Mexico. I had to get the windows repaired so I could return home. In Ventura, I took my car to Caliber Collision to take care of the scratched paint. Edgar took it into the shop to get me an estimate of what it would cost and the time it would take. After a few minutes he returned and told me the guys took a look at it and were able to buff it out. When I asked him what I owed, he told me no charge! I don't recall another business doing such a thing is a very long time. After being vandalized, it is good to know there are still good people in the world. While I did schedule the appointment, confirmed with a text message from the manager, I did let him know both in writing and over the phone, that, after some thought, I did not wish to bring my vehicle back to Caliber of Ventura to be completed because I had been lied to and damages were fraudulently covered up. Caliber Collision owes me $1,505 and is in violation of our contract agreement, failing to enter into arbitration with me regarding the disputed amount and has now sent me to collections after they admitted to damaging my car and agreeing to fix said damages and to complete the contracted job. read more

I needed a headlight replaced on my 2010 Yaris. Of course it sounds like an easy DIY fix however I did not want to start unscrewing & removing things, all for a lightbulb change . I called a few places & was even quoted upwards of $200 ! UPDATE: I emailed the community manager 3 times over the last month and no response. Wow! My original post (almost a two years ago) was five star. I was encouraged by Edgar to write a review with a link sent to me the first week they had my car. I was originally impressed with the service I was getting, very helpful and responsive. Once they got the insurance money from my car being smashed and broken into it seemed like I became invisible and my car wasn't completed and still isn't to this day. I've been very patient because I was told it was related to Covid issues. I would call for updates and wouldn't get a call back. On the rare occasion I did get a call back I was told parts were hard to come by. I sourced places to get some parts and then they told me oh we have that part. Anytime I call I get sent to voicemail. I'm afraid they took the money and ran. I've contacted my insurance company, will contact the BBB and will also look into recovering the funds from the uncompleted work through the court system. These people seem so nice and helpful at first, until they aren't. I'm very disappointed. Unable to repair my car with new parts so gave me a " reconditioned " part. When I expressed this was unacceptable, they assured me they would order the part. Today, after two months, I was told that the standard of repair is a reconditioned part. This is after the initial assessment which indicated it was severely damaged and would require a new part. Car repair from HELL. Let's start with, my car was brought here on December 6th, after being in a front and back three car collision. Being that it is not almost 2 months later, my car has been back in their shop 3 times, now in a different shop because there job was so absurd. In the beginning the customer service was fine, nothing great. I was assured that my car was going to be taken care of and fixed to great standards. Three weeks later, I received my car back and it was a reck. Both my front and back bumpers were a grayish white (not the while pearl my car is) and did not fit at all, my left headlight was getting moisture (which I was told by Claudio was not touched in the repairs), their touchup paint looked like I could of down it with white nail polish (not even close to the color of my car), and paint dripping from the side of the driver side wheel where they painted too thickly and did not care to fix it. When I brought it back about a week later I was showing Claudio what was wrong and he actually yelled at me and said "what do you want me to do about it?!?", and when I asked if he would be happy with the paint job he simply replied, "Yeah because it didn't look like that before". I have grown up around auto body work jobs, so I know a little bit about what is going on. I told Claudio that the bumpers looked wrong, but he then again argued and said they were not. I was lied to multiple times during this conversation and got absolutely no where with him other than him trying to belittle me and lie to me about what they did to my car. I left there that day beyond pissed and called my insurance seeing what I could do about the disaster. Being that I am a young 22 year old girl I was treated as if I was a child and had no other choice than to call my dad and see if he could deal with it. My father then called Claudio to try to get through to him, with Claudio was extremely rude to him as well, and finally the outcome was them getting me a rental car while they fixed my car for the SECOND time. The day I dropped my car off I was met by Claudio and Lindsey, along with my insurance person Shawn. Without Shawn being there I am almost certain I would have once again been belittled by Claudio. Lindsey was nice assuring me that everything would be fixed and that I would have nothing to worry about. I felt a little better but knew that I could not get my hopes up too much considering their previous job they had done on my car. About a week into my car being there (when they said it would be done), I got a call from Lindsey saying there was a crack in the headlight which was getting moisture in, meaning they did not even check when repairing it the first time if there was damage to it from the accident. She told me that they had to order a new one which was fine. About a week and a half later she called me and told me that the color was done and she would like to have me come by and check it out. It was later in the day, (3:52 to be exact) when I got a call asking for me to come check out the color and we agreed she would call me the next morning so I could come by. Come the next day at almost 12pm I called to ask for her. She had left for the day sick, which I would have liked a phone call or something because I did not make any plans that day because I was waiting for the call. When I called Edgar told me that they once again had to repaint the bumpers because when they dried the color was again wrong. I got ahold of my adjuster and then got a call after he called her and told her to call me. She explained that the car was a few shades different on each side so they had to blend, so thats fine. The next day I went in to check the color and it was fine so I approved. Almost two weeks later I picked up my car again (A week later than they told me they would have the job done). When picking it up, Shawn met me there and approved everything. I had them make one more adjustment to the back bumper because it did not fit correctly. I left that day feeling a little better, mostly just happy to finally have it done... so I thought. About a mile down the road the "AFS off" light started blinking on my dashboard. I did not call them that day because it was after 5:30. On Monday I called and Lindsey told me it would probably be a quick fix and to come in the next day. When I went in I was told that they were sent a "defective headlight" which is why it was flashing. I was extremely upset and she was not very apologetic, just saying she would get the part asap. I was told it would be there Friday and to come in and they will replace it real quick. That night I was leaving dinner and my color blind boyfriend pointed out that my headlight they "fixed" did not shift and was a dark yellow color not the bright white HID lights I paid $300 for each bulb back in August 2018. From there I was done working with the shop. I am not working with caliber in Oxnard hoping they can fix their absurd mistakes. read more

They give regular updates via text message and their employees also respond through the same number! I was able to text and ask what time of day my car would be able to pick up, and discovered they had a service to drop my car back at my house so I didn't have to arrange a ride. They give easy to read packets that details all of the repairs and labor and costs of each item. 10/10 would recommend! They made a stressful situation manageable! They were very nice, but after my car was returned a trim piece fell off and another piece was never fixed. I called in and they were very nice, I brought the car back, they charged my insurance for the new parts. Fixed the trim piece that fell off but never completed the other repair they ignored initially. Also when they returned my car there was a screw in the tire. I recommend finding a different body shop! read more
