Very professional! Today, I stopped by to inquire about a loose or damaged screw on my bumper caused by inadvertently backing up over a metal chair that had slid in the path as I was backing up. I wasn't sure if i had caused any damage and was reluctant to go through any car wash and risk something catching on my bumper. Jason Anselma is the Collision Center Manager and understood my concern. He offered to look at my car at no charge and put my mind at ease. His hospitality and that of his staff really go above and beyond making this my shop of choice were I ever to need body work. Jason was able to tighten and reinforce my bumper screw AND gave me some excellent tips on how to keep my interior and exterior car looking great. They are located right behind the Cottage Animal Hospital on 5th Street. Auto Body International did an excellent job in repairing the dents and blending the color of the paint to the car's color. They even had the car shined nicely on the outside and vacuumed well on the inside. My car looks like a new champagne baby to me :) I would love to give it 5 stars but the job took a lot longer than I expected (dropped it off Monday and it was completely finished a week later) but they did apologize for that due to the paint drying. I recommend this place for anyone who needs to fix their dents on their cars. It feels good driving around and not be judged LOL

While look for other places came across Maaco at this location cause it had better reviews vs Ventura. 8/13/25 I came in to get a quote to paint the whole car. David Arroyo who is the manager quoted me with 2 versions, one with all 5 jambs & one with 4 jambs. They had a 50% off paint promo, he added an extra discount because someone had canceled their spot & apparently had an opening. So thinking it's definitely cheaper than getting a whole XPEL wrap, I jumped on the deal. Came back the next day(814/25)to drop off my car. David wasn't going to be there because he had jury duty & Vanessa would take care of me. Got there around 12:50pm, the doors were closed during 12-1pm, they reopened at 1:15pm. I asked how long it would take to paint & she estimated less than 2 weeks. More than 2 weeks passed, I started to worrying. So I called to check on the status but had a difficult time getting a hold of them. I called all 3 numbers but this number 805-232-3023 had an unfamiliar voice & name that I did not recognize. I asked her if this was the Oxnard Maaco & she said yes, I told her I couldn't reach the other numbers & that it would hang up on me when transferring me. I told her I was calling in to find out what the status on my car was & she told me she needed to get a technician that would call me back in a hour. I asked her if they don't call me back should I call back at this number, she said the technician should call back by the end of the day, also she asked for my email for some reason. Nobody called back. I called the same number & it started doing the exact same thing. I found a VM & text message that David left me so I left a text on the 805-385-8848 & didn't get any response until the next morning. David left a text that I should be receiving a phone call on Labor Day or the next day. 9/3/25 is when I got a call & text that it was ready for pick up. On 9/4 while inspecting my car, found a lot of scratches inside & out on the plastic & soft trims, unpainted areas and masking tape still on with my interior very dirty. I told David, he said they would touch up those unpainted areas to come back Monday morning 9/8/25 & that it wouldn't take long for a touch up which was a red flag. On 9/5/25, while I was wiping down my car I found more scratches & unpainted areas. My rear window windshield wiper was where I found more masking tape still on to the wiper sprayer, there were huge areas that were not painted. The areas that were not painted felt rough, which concerned me with potential rust issues if not fixed. I noticed my weather strips were loose & missing clips to keep them on tight. The clips were ripped out of the hole so it wouldn't have been able to stay in to hold the weather strip. They left a ziplock bag with only 2 clips. On 9/8, I told David of all these things I discovered while wiping my car down & he said come in on 9/15 instead & that I can mark all the areas that need to be redone while he would write it all down. He also said the front passenger side jamb would be completely repainted as well as the back hatch jamb. He also said he would get a new masker & someone to fix all scratches on the trims. On the 15th David handed me a pink water based marker to mark up all the areas that needed a touch up while he took some notes. I asked him how long would this take to get it all done, he said by the end of the week. I noticed an influx of cars & I felt that it would be rushed & done sloppy again so I told him to take his time cause I would prefer it be done well. He reassured me that there would be a new masker. I believed in his promises. 3 weeks go by, heard nothing from them so I called on 10/4/25 to check on the status of my vehicle. Vanessa picked up the phone & did not know what the status was cause David was not working that day, to call Monday. I was on my way to LA on Monday, so I dropped by in the morning to check on the status of my car to come to my utter dissatisfaction & disappointment. David said they had not even started on my vehicle! His excuse was that there were other cars. So basically he put my car to the back burner instead of notifying me they were too busy to work on it. Then told me it would be done by the end of the week. What made it worse was knowing that it would be rushed & done horribly. I didn't get a phone call by the end of that week & had to call again on 10/14. He told me that it would be done on 10/17. By this time I didn't trust him, texted on Thursday because I needed to figure out my ride situation. I get a text back finishing it up & will be ready Friday. Went in Saturday & Vanessa was the only person working, told me just to give me my car "as is". I asked what do you mean, even if it is still done horribly? She replied yes. To my dismay, pink markings were still on the areas that needed retouching & none of the scratches were fixed.

I went to several shops to get a quote, and none were able to provide me with an ETA of when my car would be done, some ranging between 2-3 weeks.. However, the receptionist Zaira was able to get me a FREE rental while my car was at the shop and to top it off was ready within a week (8days)!! I didn't have to call or deal with my insurance, they sent me auto text messages with updates on my car. Customer service was great, they even fixed some scratches I had on the side that were irrelevant to the accident. My car came out better than how it went in. The service provided by this company was an awful experience. When I complained about all the problems that I had they gave me a very bad attitude telling me that why am I complaining when the insurance is paying for everything and I shouldn't complain. With that in mind they handed me my car in the most awful service ever. Dirt inside the whole interior of my car when I had just bought my car within a month. Scratches all through my car that had no place to be in the first place. Would not recommend going to this company for any body service. read more

The staff here is amazing I was devastated when the insurance company had told me my car needed a seven day repair commercial auto body was able to have it ready for me in 5 working days and they also provided me with a rental free of charge. Besides giving me a Free rental they also gave me a Life Time Warranty absolutely amazing my car looks line nothing ever happen to it! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car. He checked everything out on the filter and connection points and then even reset and did a diagnostic on the computer part of the system. I received a voice message from Kim at the front desk on Friday, April 3 stating that they were starting the tear down of the vehicle that day. Then on Monday, April 6 I received another voicemail from Kim stating that they were starting the teardown of the vehicle on Monday so I was a little confused because she told me they were starting on Friday so I called her back and told her I was very disappointed that they stored my car in their garage for the entire week and didn't start working on it all while I had to use a uber every day back and forth to work and spent money out of my pocket while they let my vehicle sit in the garage and never touched it for an entire week. Still don't understand why the parts were not ordered the week that they stored my vehicle. If I knew they weren't going to touch my vehicle until the following week, I could've dropped it off that Friday or the following morning when they started the tear down so I could use for work that week. Instead, I've had to pay for Ubers back-and-forth to work while they kept pushing my dates back. I ended up spending over $700 in Uber payments to get back-and-forth to work while they stored my car for an entire week. I didn't touch it. I decided to eat Ubers because the cheapest Rent-A-Car I could find was $55 per day. The gas prices are cheap so I would've spent more money on a Rent-A-Car. I got a call from Sal stating that they were waiting on parts for the repairs as soon as they get the parts they would work on it as fast as they could. I proceeded to let him know that my birthday was Friday, April 10 and I would like to have my vehicle back. I let them know that if it wasn't ready by Wednesday, they would have to keep it in the garage for seven days because I'm leaving for vacation. I spoke to him on Thursday, April 9 and he told me that it looks like I probably wouldn't get my vehicle back for my birthday because they ordered parts and they hadn't come in yet. Then he proceeds to tell me possibly Monday the 13th the earliest or the latest Tuesday morning on the 14th. I ended up getting my vehicle that Tuesday evening. Why this is so disappointing is because I have experience working as a delivery driver for Worldpac. Worldpac is a distributor of auto parts. We have a local warehouse here in Oxnard, California and anytime auto parts store calls to order parts. We delivered within two hours yet. I kept being told that they were ordering parts and they're taking days and weeks to get them in, which doesn't make sense to me. After I picked up my vehicle, I noticed on the way home that my passenger side mirror wasn't folding when I triggered the alarm and it wasn't working. So I called in and let them know that I would need to bring it back in the following week because I was going on vacation. When I got back on vacation, I took it in at 8:15 AM or Tuesday, April 21 waited about an hour for the repairs. Sal came back out to show me both mirrors. He stated that Tesla sent them the wrong mirror the first time and they didn't have several wires, but the new mirror they sent was correct. And finally, the mirror worked properly. I would have to say that customer service wise they're pretty good and the repairs on the body was done correctly, but I'm disappointed of the time they held my car given the minor damage and for having to bring it back in a second time to fix the mirror. I will never use this place again. This sucks because I could've got the service done at Tesla, but their service was scheduled two weeks out and that's why I chose this body shop because I thought I could get my vehicle a lot sooner and it ended up being 3 1/2 weeks. Should've just went to Tesla and no matter the wait in the future I will always use Tesla service only moving forward.

I eventually was directed to Mario's Garage and I'm so happy I found this place. As a woman, I'm always on high alert with mechanics taking advantage of me assuming I don't know anything about cars (tbh I don't lol). At Mario's Garage they were honest with me, charged me very reasonable prices, and were very understanding of any financial restraints I had. They spent extra time explaining to me what was going on with my car because I was honest about how little I know about cars. I walked out of there feeling like I could be a mechanic with all the knowledge they dropped on me...lol jk... but seriously I trust them wholeheartedly! Much love to Mario's Garage!!!
