They kept a check that was given to me from my insurance company for repairs and did not do any repairs the check was for nearly 2,000$ and I had to get the bureau of automotive body shop involved. They also kept my car from me for months when I requested it back several times they tried to shake me down for 500$ even though they hadn't fixed anything. Somebody hit and run my parked car. I took it to commercial auto body and they took the car in right away and removed the bumper and wrote an estimate while I ate lunch with my son. I insisted on OEM Lexus parts and called the dealership for a price on the bumper before I went. The quote for the parts were within a couple dollars of the dealership price. I felt the quote was fair and reasonable so I paid for the job, they called me when all the parts were in and I took my car in for service and I walked to the Enterprise rent a car across the street. They quoted me 4 days to complete the job. I called in to check the day before the scheduled pickup day and they said the paint matching wasn't right so they needed it a little longer. No problem, I picked up the car a couple days later and it was perfect. Like it never happened. The gap between the bumper and the metal is perfect. I couldn't be happier. I would recommend anyone take their vehicle there for body repairs or paint jobs. I'll be taking it back next week to have the invisible bra removed and the paint polished. read more

They gave our insurance adjuster a quote for around $5,000. Then they raised it, twice, until the total paid out was over $13,000. The vehicle was only worth $12,000 before the accident! So now my wife is driving some unsafe, salvaged POS instead of a decent car because our insurance spent the money that would have gone into a new vehicle at this place! Then today someone from the shop called me and tried to make the excuse that they don't decide whether or not to total a car. That's true. The insurance adjuster does that. WITH AN ACCURATE ESTIMATE! hard to make a financial decision when the business you're dealing with more than doubles the price! You low-balled the adjuster to get the work, and then you ran up the tab because insurance companies have deep pockets. Well first and for most I want to start off by saying if I could give 10 Stars I would. I have been using Commercial Auto Body for the past 7 years I have a referred a few customers also. Just because of the great experience I have had there. My first time going there I met the owner his self Jose very welcoming very nice and reassuring me as a single mother that everything was going to be okay and my car was going to get fixed and I was to have no worries about anything and if anything goes wrong I could always go directly to him with an open door policy and adress any issues. Unfortunately I got into another accident but of course I knew where to go and everything would get handled the second time I went I encountered with Jose the owner's daughter Zyra from that day I knew I was in good hands she followed exactly her dad's footsteps and everything he told me don't worry everything will be okay was the exact words she said. I go to this shop because they did the job right the 1st time and never did a Mickey mouse (bad,fast) job. I was always able to contact her for anything else that i just had a question about my car. So unfortunately last weekend I totaled my vehicle It was around midnight that the tow truck was able to get my car All I could think of was please take my car to a safe place and get answers and of course Commercial Auto Body is where my car went . I know this is a family owned business because I walk in Monday morning the other worker who is one of the brother's Richard. He recognized me as well and he said let me help you my sister's not here let me do everything I can to help you one thing I have to say Richard and Zyra were obviously raised by the same father exactly the way the father responded the first time meeting Jose is how two of his children have acted when I been there . So Richard says let me take care of you let me handle it let me help you it was 10:30 am I manage a Office I had to be open at 9:00 I had my three year old daughter with me and I had to get a ride there and my 3 yr old daughter was unfortunately sick going to work with me . I was not able to rent a vehicle on my own although it came with my insurance they needed the money up front to rent me the vehicle for at least 30 days because my car was totaled and explain that to Richard and his response was please don't worry I'm going to help you. I knew that was not his position (front desk) because it was always Zyras position to do what he did. But as a team player that he Is and how caring he was he made sure he was able to get in touch with certain people with my insurance other rental car places during the process of me waiting while he was making several phone calls once again Jose the owner came in and said are you okay do you need any help is everybody helping you and made sure things were getting done to help me. Well believe it or not due to me not having the finances to go out and get a rental car at Richard personally got me one of their family vehicles and is allowing me to drive the family vehicle until I get a new car situated now as I say from the beginning I walked in that shop 7 years ago panicking didn't know what to do or expect my first car accident the father handled it perfect and take care of everything I needed as time went on I continue to go there and everyone has continued in the family to treat me the exact same way Richard did not have to go above and beyond to get me in a vehicle to make me and my kids comfortable and safe with one of their personal vehicles this is not a auto body shop that takes your car takes your deductible and tells you have a good day this is an auto body shop that listens hears you out and wants to protect you and your children until you get your solution done I would never choose another place or recommend no other place to anyone besides Commercial Auto Body thank you all for that you do. read more

This place was suggested by my car insurance. What should have taken 3 days to repair my car as stated in the paper work took 11 days. The girls at the front desk are incompetent. They have no customer service skills what's so ever. Ordered the wrong grill to begin with and then didn't overnight expedite it. So now I had to wait longer. I had to keep reaching out to them to get answers about my car which they gave me the run around. They should be calling me not me calling them. Also ur business hours are incorrect on google. I LOVED this shop I'm not from the area I'm from San Diego, I originally came down to camarillo to visit a friend of mine because I had surgery the upcoming week and was looking forward to hanging out before being on bed rest for a week! Well I ended up in a collision the second day of my trip that left my car completely torn up! I have a tiny Honda Civic coupe that I love with all my being was so bummed seeing it all torn I hit a truck so my hood was completely destroyed and my glass shattered horribly... but I try thinking positive and was blessed neither me or my friend were hurt I was able to brake in time before being smooshed! I called up my insurance company and they found me this gem that was the nearest in the area to where I was... the atmosphere in there was warm and welcoming they offered me anything to drink and included a rental for up to 5 days which was perfect to me because first and foremost my insurance although it's full coverage they do not cover rentals and secondly I already knew I had a $500 deductible that was stressful enough especially with the holiday season and with me putting in thousands for my surgery days before already as well, and also I needed a way to get home! So I left my car here knowing it was in good hands just to get some bad news from the insurance a few days later that my vehicle was a total loss that was not good for me because I couldn't wait for my check to come in that I was getting cashed out for.. and also couldn't afford to be keeping the rental with me for long I was given the choice of paying all expenses or giving up my car I really did not want to give up my vehicle it was in great condition literally just body damage. I called up the shop many times being so stressed and indecisive they were completely patient with me and understanding each time I called like a maniac hehe ... but anyways most I was able to afford was $800 to get my vehicle fixed to a point where it was safe to drive back home and they worked with my budget, I came in with my bestfriend who would be driving for me of course since I was very sore and in pain still from my surgery I had came in days after my surgery so my emotions were all over the place ! I was very please with how they gave me back my vehicle and we're able to work with my budget.. all left for me to fix is a little dent but besides that my car looked almost as good as new. Highly recommend this shop, every staff member here was amazing. Got home safe and back to my bed rest no more worries! read more

I took in my vehicle the week of New Years since I was in a collision accident with my brick wall. Obviously the brick wall won. This time. The process was fast and easy, I received multiple text messages through a system they use to allow you when the vehicle would be ready and the status of the vehicle. I was really pleased on how fast and easy I got the work done. I like how this is a family owned business and they're all very aware of the situation on each vehicle. Following a fender bender, my poor car ended up in Commercial Auto Body's hands. They were prompt, attentive, and did excellent work on my car. Discussions with them were always professional and friendly and they handled the claim very effectively. My car looks great. There was a minor bit of confusion at one point over whether or not my car was done that resulted in a second rental being needed, but I won't fault them for that, as I should probably have re-confirmed that my car was ready before heading over. No harm, no foul--they were extremely apologetic and kind, and I get that mistakes like that happen. They even offered to put the new rental on their tab for me and bill the insurance. I will recommend calling to make sure your car is ready--but realistically, I would recommend that for any place, it's good common sense (which I clearly was not practicing that day). I definitely would recommend Commercial to someone needing work done, as I think they did an excellent job with my car. read more

I took my VW convertible in to get a new top (based on a friend's recommendation). Originally told I would have it back in 3 days. That was 10 days ago. Making matters worse - although when I'm able to reach them (yes, that's difficult too), Jose assures me he will call to let me know what's happening -- he doesn't. I just got off the phone w/him & they still can't tell me when I will get my car back. God knows when I'll have it back, and what condition it will be in. Beyond angry. This is by far the worst body shop in Ventura county. My insurance company recommend me to them after I got into an accident. They originally told me two weeks...but that was a lie...They kept telling me it would be ready next week,after two months of them having my truck, finally got it back. After getting my truck back and looking over it...I found the grill was zip tied down...grill insert not bolted down...radiator still leaking...top cover above the radiator missing...head lights not lined up. This is the worst body shop ever. I had an accident where I crashed into a pole , I called my insurance they sent me to this body shop they took a month fixing my car . The estimator did not write down everything that was told to him and his from us the whole month. The whole month they took they were not consistent especially the girls in front. One day they would tell me my car was ready the next day they would say it wasn't , not only that but I had to cancel 2 flights because of the young girls in front who aren't prepared at all and don't take the business serious and would play with me telling me that my car would be ready one day and when I'd be ready to go I'd call to make sure and they'd say it wasn't. ( IRRESPONSIBLE!!) Due to the lack of profesional work, I received my car back without any damage in the front but however my steering wheel feels like it's going to go flying out the window , after telling them they did not help and are lying that I took my car already to a mechanic when I certainly did not. This place is filled with fools who aren't capable to fix a car, also the young lady's in the front need to go because they know nothing about costumer service read more
