I took my truck in there a year or so ago after a bike scratched my bed. I have a trifold bed cover over the bed. For the first time since I got my truck back I took off the cover and discovered the plastic trim on top of the bed rail had a broken clip and it's only held on by my bed cover. I know a month before the repair it wasn't that way. The trim had to be removed to clear the paint repair. A few months late, but these guys are wonderful. My fiance took our car in for a small dent after multiple places quotes us several thousand dollars. This is the second time/vehicle I've had repaired at Prestige Bodyworks. The first time was the result of my utter frustration with "C.C." (I'm sure you can guess the name), along with more than one verbal recommendation to Prestige. The second time however, there was NO DOUBT where my car was going. Even with the shop being more than 100-miles from my home. They are also a USAA preferred vender so the paperwork was non-existent and the hassle factor was ZERO. Not to mention the limited lifetime warranty. My first car was a SAAB 9-3 Aero (V6), a nearly impossible car to find OEM parts for these days. However not for Prestige it appeared. They not only returned my car in BETTER than pre-accident condition, but ahead of schedule. My current car, a Genesis G80, is an extremely computer and sensor heavy vehicle. So I was curious to see how they would handle the technology aspect. Even though the damage in the photos may not LOOK that extensive, multiple radar sensors along with autonomous driving sensors were destroyed. Not to mention a rather expensive carbon fiber bracket. So when USAA estimated the project would take three weeks (21-days) for Parts, Paint and Programming, I didn't blink an eye. However a Prestige timeline and a USAA timeline are do you different animals. Accident: September 17th. Dropped Off: September 18th. Ready for Pickup: September 30th. ONLY TWELVE DAYS!! Lee, who seems to have great customer service in his DNA, evaluated the damage and advised me that it was minor and if I could spare 10 minutes Prestige would reattach the separated parts, buff out the road abrasions and I would be on my way. That is exactly what happened....It may have actually taken 12 minutes. You get my point, these folks are absolutely terrific. Very poor quality repair on my vehicle by Prestige. I will avoid this body shop in the future. Very difficult to deal with this shop. IMO, they get one star for the repair of my vehicle. My car was involved in a severe front end collision. As an authorized USAA shop, Prestige provided the baseline estimates from which any other body shop bases their repair payments on. They started with a very low estimate, and around a year later the insurance has already paid around twice the original repair estimate. They replaced the bumper and other body parts in the initial repair. When I picked up the car they had replace the impact side, front wheel with a brand new one. Since the opposite axle wheel had low tread, it was difficult to attribute the shimmy/shake above 50 mph (60-80) in the steering wheel to unrepaired damage to mechanical components of the car versus just a larger tire on one side. To this day, after numerous inspections by USAA partner shops the vibration/shimmy has not been repaired, and it's over a year after the accident. At highway speeds, there is a scary, high amplitude vibration coming from the front of the car. I had to return to Prestige to fix missing fasteners on trim and or bumpers twice and a then, after realizing the poor service, went to another shop. The bumper eventually became detached on both corners and I found many missing fasteners. There appears to be numerous violations of the CALIFORNIA UNFAIR CLAIMS SETTLEMENT PRACTICES perpetrated by this shop and USAA. Unfortunately, from my experience, without a lawyer, consumers have little recourse to win collision insurance damage claims, even with the insufficient support of state regulation offices. read more

I never want to have an accident but if I do, I take my car to Prestige Bodyworks. I can rely on Darryl and/or Lee to make the necessary repairs to make our car better than new. They are a preferred shop by USAA for good reason and well known in the military community. Their knowledge and attention to detail is impressive. Their work is always professional. My last visit, we noticed a broken cover on a storage bin between the seats. The cover was old and could've cracked with age. They didn't question it, they fixed it. I took my 2015 Subaru to get a roof leak fixed. The dealership told me it would cost $3,000. These guys did the job, out the door, for $324. They tested the seals and ensured it the seals worked even under a pressure washer. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and I could not recommend this shop more. They called me with the diagnosis the next day and had the work done faster than I could've asked for. They tested the seals multiple times and really just did an overall amazing job for a great price. And I go to pick up my car and what a pleasant surprise- they removed the water stains, cleaned and vacuumed my interior, washed the exterior and even cleaned and shined my tires. I needed to replace the front bumper on my car. After patronizing another body shop for years, I had become unhappy and, so, I decided to try Prestige Bodyworks. I was very pleasantly surprised. Everything that needed to be done was explained in detail by Lee; he answered my questions, and I could tell he knew what he was talking about. His only concern was that the bumper, on a 2003 BMW, may not be available anymore. He quickly checked and luckily found two remaining in the country. I also asked him about a little problem I had experienced with noise in the car from the drivers door, after body work two years prior. I had been told that there was nothing that could be done. Lee said he could probably fix it easily. Two days later I picked up my car. The bumper was new and beautiful. The noise was gone. Although like most of us, I'd prefer never to have to visit a body shop, if I do again I will go to Prestige Bodyworks. For what it's worth, and I think it's a sign of how Prestige pays attention to the smallest details, all the magazines in their waiting room were stacked neatly and were perfectly aligned. It is my first time to have to go to a body shop in a while. But I have to say this one is the best out of the three that I have been to. They are approachable and seem to put their customers first and assures you they will get the work done that you want. I had a minor rear bumper fixed as well as some minor paint job and scratches near the tires. They said it would take 3-5 days and I am very happy that it took only 3 days of not having a car! They did a really good job! Matched the paint exact, fixed everything and my car is like new again. I rate 4 1/2 stars because there are always room for improvement! I kind of wish I can see where they are taking my car behind, but I didn't check if you can actually drive to see it though.I wanted to see their working area. This shop was recommended through my insurance customers and I had my dad check it out. He seems to really like the shop and puts full trust so of course that is another plus. Had minor issue with a section of front bender extending beyond where it should be. Gentleman looked at it and said it need a retaining pin. Took the car around back and returned 10 minutes later. Had repairs done to my Mazda 3 here. Got the car back and the first thing I noticed was that the trim with the 2 air vents directly above the radio controls was not pressed in all the way, almost like they set it in place and forgot to push it in to secure it (well I mean they did do that). Not too long afterwards, I noticed there were scuffs left on the driver's door panel. I eventually found out that there were a couple of screws missing beneath the air vent trim that are used to secure the radio in place. And no, they weren't missing before, as that wasn't the first time I had pulled various dash trim pieces out. There is also a nice gap between parts that used to be flush, and my cup holder trim won't even stay in place as one corner pops out now and refuses to stay put. The body work done to my car is on the floor, so I have yet to either look under the carpet or above the plastic liners on the bottom side of the car. Based on the shoddy attention to detail to what wasn't even body work, I already have low expectations for my floor that was supposed to be welded. I'm really hoping I don't find JB weld on the seams. I get the impression that they simply say "good enough" with the expectation that cut corners and poorly reassembled interior components will fly under the customer's radar. Will absolutely not be coming back here or recommending them for repairs. Far from prestigious. read more

One star for their work product quality. I'm only bumping this review up to two stars because Lee was nice. I came here because it was an authorized autobody shop through my insurance. After my car accident, they gave me a 3 week estimate for the repairs. I've never heard of a body shop taking 3 weeks to make $5,000 worth of repairs, but I gave them that. Fast forward to 7 weeks after my accident, and my car was still at Prestige for repairs. They kept delaying the finish time due to newly discovery issues, and also a break issue they couldn't fix. When I finally got my car back, the breaks barely worked and I was terrified driving home. They almost gave out a couple times. I barely made it home and then had my car towed to a Chevrolet auto-collision shop for repairs. At Selman Chevrolet in Orange County, where I took my car next to fix the repairs, they told me that the right rear panel, which Prestige replaced and charged me as "new" on my bill was not actually a new part. Also, my right rear wheel was bent in the accident, and Prestige did not fix that either. Prestige customer service seems great, but they don't seem very competent in repairing cars for anything more than a dent in the body, with no mechanical repairs necessary. Also, charging for "new" parts and not actually replacing with new parts is pretty deceptive. read more

Purchased an aftermarket carbon fiber hood and came here to get an estimate on having a custom paint job done on it. I was informed by Lee, my appraiser, that they usually don't do custom work but since I already spoke to another employee over the phone about price, they would take on the job for me. I left them with a few pictures on how I wanted the hood masked off and painted. Price was also very reasonable. Turn-around time was only 3 days and they called me to pick up the car on a Friday. When I arrived I was super excited about getting my baby back, paint quality was quite good and the match was 9/10 (They use BASF Glasurit, top notch stuff), picked up my car and left. When I got home and looked over the hood closer and compared it to the pictures and design of how I wanted it, it wasn't correct. Looks like the painter couldn't tell 100 percent from the angle in the pictures and didn't mask it correctly, too much carbon was still exposed. Unfortunately they were closed for the weekend so I waited till Monday morning to give Lee a call. He assured me over the phone that they make it right and to bring it back. So later that afternoon I came back to the shop and they looked it over, they explained that they would need to redo the whole hood and they won't just spot fix it. They had it done in a week and it came out exactly how I wanted it second time around. Paint quality again is very good, a couple fish eyes here and there, paint match isn't 100 percent but again it's being sprayed on carbon so that's to be expected, it's good enough but I'm also a VERY picky person. I'm giving them 5 stars because of the good customer service and quality work. Overall, a happy satisfied customer. read more

Really poor quality shop. Does not really back their work. Just tries to shift the focus on other issues. They assembled my fuel tank exhaust system and left a "very small exhaust leak" that has continuously triggered the check engine light since I picked up the vehicle. They have never fixed the issue claiming "there is no leak." They failed to correctly remount my stereo (sending the rear speaker out to the bass - blowing the speakers) they also did not properly secure the speaker in the rear door causing it to fall out and break the wire. The owner just had a tech look at it and the tech shook his head indicating he did not think any of it was their fault and the owner just then acted dismissive about it. Initially, I did not know they had wired the system wrong and I simply need to replace the speaker that had the torn wire from their failure to mount it correctly. However, my new speakers immediately blew out due to their wiring it incorrectly when they reinstalled the system in the trunk. They also did not properly seal the trunk causing it to leak. They fixed the seal issue. They failed to mount the rear spoiler correctly causing it to vibrate and destroy the paint underneath. They "fixed" it by repainting it but I now learned the spoiler is still incorrectly mounted and will beed to be replaced due to damage. They did not mount the rear right door flush with the vehicle It is subtle so I understand how they visually missed it from the outside. However, when I had collision specialist look at the door it was immediately obvious to him that the door was not mounted correctly and pointed it out. I have been told by another shop that the welding work they did is fantastic. So there is that. SO they get the one star for that. When I have come in they "look" at my vehicle but act as though they do not have the time to deal with it. Essentially, due to the check engine light I have never been able to sell my car and been unable to trace the leak without having another shop disassemble the rear of the vehicle. read more

They do NOT offer shuttle service. They do NOT open on weekends (even for pick up). They DO take as long as humanly possible on a repair for no other reason than suiting their own convenience. A sign from my work fell on my car a while ago and left some unsightly scratches on the hood (nothing too crazy); however, this repair alone took not 1, not 2, not 3, not even 4, but 5 days to complete! 5 DAYS. I called daily to get an update, and their receptionist in the most agreeable passive-aggressive tone assured me that this was the customary time required for such a repair and that I had to just figure out how to get to work for two days without a car. Thank you Prestige. Although, you did provide the lowest estimate (which my job ultimately made me choose), I won't ever be going to you for any repair no matter how minor. read more

Took my car in after a fender bender. The doors on the passenger side had to be replaced and they were recommended by my insurance. As it so happened, my Dad also got his truck repaired by them. Excellent service. Daryl provided excellent service. Long story short, I thought I was going to lose my car due and he took the time to explain everything to me. He gave me a breakdown of everything which was such a relief because I had a difficult time processing it all since I thought I would be carless. Not a lot of people do that nowadays, but he spent a good amount of time with me until I understood the situation. My car was with them for a full week and when I got it back, it looked brand new. Prestige Bodyworks did the repair when my car was vandalized, but I had to take it in again after the repair wasn't done properly, on the driver side door. The paint job was wavy. So they fixed it again, even though they looked at me like I was crazy! Plus, whenever I'm driving, I'm hearing a whistling sound coming from the drivers side window. All the windows are rolled up. Prestige's owner, said that he heard it too when he drove my car, then after it was fixed again, denied that there was anything wrong, and said that all Prius cars are like that, even his. Now, the rubber trim on the left passenger side door is beginning to slide off! And the paint on the same door is beginning to bubble! I will not go back there again! read more

I had a great experience here and highly recommend this company. I brought in a new grille that I needed to be installed on my brand new Yukon XL. The outcome was perfect! They really took their time (I waited there so I know) making sure not scratch my new grille/car.
