I recently was hit from behind and it was my first car accident. My boyfriend had brought his car in about a year ago to their shop and had a positive experience with them. I brought my car in to be estimated by my insurance. From walking into the front desk to meeting the estimators and speaking with the manager, I felt my experience with them was so smooth. It was stressful for me as it was my first accident but Caliber Collision's nice and professional employees helped to ease my worry as I was uncertain about the whole process of accidents/insurance/repairs. The ladies at the front were quick in responding to my questions. Frank, estimator (I, think) was nice and thorough as he checked my car in. I felt comfortable leaving my car in their hands. The manager, Alex, was great explaining the whole process to me. He even called me to update me after taking out the panel that there were more damages hidden and that they would be calling the insurance for additional estimate. They absolutely made this easy for me as all i had to do was wait for all the repairs to be done. They worked out well with the insurance too. When I got the call to pick up my car, I arrived and was soo elated to see my car in even better condition. They had fixed the back quarter panel and detailed my car which had sorely needed it. On January 10, 2023 I went to Home Depot to make a purchase which took about 20 minutes and as I was driving away my car got super loud and I realized that I had become the victim of a catalytic converter theft. My car was towed to Caliber Collision in Torrance and I was informed by Jesus that there was a several month back order on parts from Toyota. I had been doing research the week before for a friend who had had her catalytic converter stolen and had spoke with a few muffler shops that could get parts and complete the job within a few weeks so I informed Dylan at Geico and got an approval to have Jesus find a muffler shop that could do the repair. I informed Jesus and he was able to find a place in Los Angeles that had the parts and could start repairing my car in a few days. I was able to have my car repaired and returned to me in 13 days which worked out much better then waiting monthes for a part from Toyota. So I wanna say this about Caliber Collision, If your catalytic converter gets stolen, you can rely on Caliber Collision to get your car back on the road quickly and you can be assured they will communicate with you in a professional way and they will test your car and review the work that was completed with you and if you are insured by Geico they will guarantee the work done on your car for as long as you own it. I had my vehicle repaired there after getting rear ended. For the most part, the repairs were done all right, but they billed my insurance and indicated on my invoice the replacement of the rear badges on my Subaru. However, they never replaced them or supplied them to me. Additionally, they kept changing the completion date of my vehicle. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO DELIVER YOUR CAR BACK ON THE DATE THEY PROMISED. ALSO, MAKE SURE THEY REPLACE THE ITEMS THEY'RE BILLING YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FOR. BETTER YET, GO TO A DIFFERENT BODY SHOP!!! Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Several times we were told "we left you a message". Each time checking every number we have we discovered there was no message. They keep blaming the insurance company for things they didn't do yet the insurance company continues to show us the authorization for repair that is contrary to the excuses and lies that this body shop likes to give you. Find another body shop. We are their neighbors and they treated us like this. I'm changing my review but only because we didn't get ripped off and the manager Robert at least showed me the courtesy of listening to my grievance. read more

After my insurance accepted the quote I was told they would need my truck for about 4-5 days. Parts they had ordered for my car sat on their shelves for a week before I was able to get through and confirm that I could drop my car off. A three day process became three weeks. read more

If i could leave 0 stars i would brought my car here they let the car sit and ordered parts without disassembling the vehicle after almost a month the parts arrived they disassembled the car and found prior damage they said they couldnt fix let me remind you this whole time while im waiting im getting updates that the vehicle is being fixed and that the vehicle will be done 12/2/2022 on a friday i call that Tuesday to confirm and they tell me the bad news if i didnt call i would have showed up to pick up my car and nothing would have been done. So jessica tells me i will have to get my car towed from the shop and they will reimburse me the insurance check and to come back Monday after the weekend for the check and the car. They then say they are going to charge me $1300 for taking the parts off and 2 tires which i think is ridiculous thats a third of the settlement. So when monday comes around i call to confirm i can get my car and now she is saying they have to make sure there is no restocking fee for returning the parts before they refund me the balance. When in actuality they should have never ordered the parts without disassembling the car in the first place this whole issue could have been avoided and my whole month of time could have been saved i only chose the shop because it was on an approved list it seems like they made a mistake and are now trying to squeeze as much money out of the claim as possible going to try to contact corporate ive been very patient and understanding through this whole thing but at this point i feel like im being taken advantage of read more

Follow Up Both David and Neil were very customer centric, I'm very happy with the delivery of service provided. There were some dimples in minor inconsistency with the paint. Let me preface that with I'm a car guy and demands nothing short of perfection. So they proceeded to fix those. I expressed they can take all the time they need in order to do the fix properly. This is my second visit to Caliber Collision. The first visit was handled through USAA insurance and it went very well. The work was professional and finished in under a week. Couldn't be happier. This second recent trip was my error and I knew it would be paid out of pocket. I always get multiple quotes to keep businesses honest and this was no different. Jessica was my rep at Caliber and she was great. Professional and understanding. The quote she supplied was FAR more detailed and complete compared to the other quote. Jessica explained all the details and even matched the labor cost of the other company to be fair. My truck was as good as new after only 5 days. Took my 2000 GMC Sierra to get it worked on I first spoke with Daisy what a professional sweet girl she set me up with their claim adjuster Billy what a joke this guy was ,he tells me my truck is too old to order the replacement part and that they have strict guide lines and he would't be able to fix my truck because it was too old and probably wouldn't have the part So he tells me that's his assessment . So I went to Penske GMC Dealership in Torrance on Hawthorne Blvd. and go to the parts department and give them my vin number and have them look up the part they had it in stock. Short story short don't waste your time with this sorry lousy collision repair shop because that's what your going to get for customer service a collision ,you Suck!!!!!! Unfortunately I stopped by to an accident, but the fortunate part is that Jessica Gomez was very professional, very polite on my visit today. She wasn't like the other body shop, the other shop just took pictures within 3 minutes and the estimate was over. Jessica took her time to look around the vehicle, took pictures in many angles, and asked if I had any questions or concerns about the vehicle. I mentioned that the other shop said I needed an alignment and she was on it. Next thing I see, she was looking through it and explained how it does look off and what this body shop can offer. I could not believe how quick their service was. I dropped the car off on Monday after a hit and run to my bumper, and got my car back Tuesday at 5pm. Yes, THE VERY NEXT DAY! Everyone was very courteous (Abby called me twice to let me know my car was definitely ready) and both Geico and Enterprise Rental cars are onsite. They lost my car key and instead of telling me right away, they made me wait a half an hour (while supposedly bringing my car around) before telling me. The manager, Alex, then told me that he would have a key made first thing the next morning and when I called him at noon the next day to check up, he said he would talk to a locksmith and call me right back. He never called back. Had to leave a message. When my car was finally ready the day after that, there were interior panels left unattached and even one missing. I was going to return the car back to have that fixed but I'm afraid of what will go wrong next. The rest of the work was good but the poor communication and lazy finishes are a big negative. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. Eric and Frank were very helpful and I did receive a new key (why I didn't give the shop one star) but that was eclipsed by the subpar management. read more
