If I can rate them a -10 I would. Whatever you do, do not let these incompetent fools work on your car. My insurance sent me to Caliber Collision Santa Monica to have my car repaired. Due to the fact that this location was full, they sent my car to the Simi Valley location to be fixed. To make a very long story short, my car was sent to them on 6/21 for very minor damages.I got my car back almost 2 months later.
Scott at Caliber informed me that my car would be ready within one week. However, he found out that their was a national shortage of parts due my car being a 2017. A week later he told me he did not know how long it would take. 3 weeks later after not hearing any updates from him , I called to see what the status was on my car. I was told that the parts were still on back order. When I asked if i could pick up my car and bring it back when the parts came in , i was told that I could not, as the car had already been taken apart. When I told him I would have kept my car until the parts came in(had i been informed the wait time) I was given the run around.
1 month and 2 weeks later, Scott told me that my car would be ready on a specific day and when it was not, he lied and told me he "never said that." My car was finally towed to another SM Caliber Located near my house. When I went to pick it up, I was naive and assumed that they had my car for over a month that the car would be fixed. During the initial inspection, I found that a spot on the hood was not painted, as to which they touched up on the spot. That night I went home and really inspected my car. I found tons of damages that were not their prior to my accident. There was chips of paint missing around the tail lights, the front head lights were not aligned properly , scratches inside the trunk that were not there before i turned my car in and the paint inside the trunk was the wrong color.
I took my car back in the following Monday and was informed that the car would be sent back to Simi Valley and would be a priority. Simi Valley did pay for the rent car I was in. Scott never called to provide me with an update when my car was returned. He called and left a message with my mom 2.5 weeks later saying that my car was ready and that he would try to get in on the tow truck Friday morning, but did not guarantee this as the "truck left early" so he said that it would most likely be Monday. Well, Monday came around and i did here jack. When I called and requested an update, Scott told me that my car would be sent back to SM on Wed. So, Wednesday rolls around and i dont here jack. When I called to request an update, Jason, Scott's boss tells me that my car just went in to be painted, as they had to have a "specialist" come match the color. When I asked why this wasnt done the first time, he didnt have an answer. Jason informed me that my car would be sent to SM caliber on Friday.
Friday comes around and I go to pick up my car. Knowing what a crap ass job they did the first time they "fixed my car", I made sure to inspect every inch, and of course I was not shocked when I found a shit job had been done, yet again. On the inside of the trunk which they had painted, a spot was bubbled. Unbelievable to me considering they now had my car for 2 months for minor, very minor damages. I refused to take my car and refused to have it sent back to Simi Valley know what crap jobs they do. Thank god that a Caliber SM painter knew what he was doing and fixed the paint job. I finally got my car back on 8/4 and let me reiterate my car only needed a headlight and their was very minor damages to the trunk. Caliber felt that they compensated to me because they paid for my car rental for 2 weeks. Mind you I was given a dirty ass car with stained seats that was no comparison to my 2017 Mazda .
These people had my car for 2 months. Ok, the parts were on back order, but they should of informed me of this and I would have kept my car until the parts came in. Did I mention one of the parts, the trunk , never did come in and they "fixed" it. Whatever you do, do not let this facility fix your car, they do not know what the hell they are doing. DO NOT SEND YOUR CAR HERE.. They did such a horrible job, I actually look and the spot they repaired on a daily baisis to see if it has fallen apart. I tried to keep this post as short as possible, but was hard due to the incompetency that I encountered and the length of time they held my car hostage. read more
