WORST place to take your car for repair. I handled the case for my mother. BELIEVE ME when I say it, they did more damage to my mom's car than it should, even spots that were not even touched by the accident. We dropped my mom's car off at the shop Dec 14th, 2022. Her car only has 7,000 miles on it. It was still a pretty brand new car; still have that fresh car smell. Damage: the car was rear-ended. The repair literally took them 3.5 months and yet it was still halfa$$. We were delivered the car 6x promising that it was complete and ready for pick up. 1st visit: Trunk struggle to close, trunk alignment was off, body panels were asymmetrical, large thumb sized gapping, missing over a dozen clips that holds the parts onto the car. 2nd Visit (same day promising pick up): Trunk was adjusted but nothing else above was resolve. All the complaints above on 1st visit was neglected. 3rd visit: This was one of the worst pickup and poorly delivered. The interior of the car was dusty like it hadn't been touched in a month. We found sandpapers (trash) tucked inside the spare tire compartment. The spare tools were clearly taken out and were clearly not put back in its place. We found that there were still missing clips. The car parts were falling off. Even the headliners were dirty with oily black fingerprints everywhere. We also found a deep 3-inch scratch around the inside the window frame. This damage should not have been there and definitely was not caused by the accident but clearly by the carelessness and neglect of the shop.  Inspection should have happened before even contacting us for pick up. 5th Visit: My husband, brother, and I we all met at the shop ready to inspect the vehicle and pick it up. We were hoping this was going to be the last visit. When we arrived, the manager Carlos had already left after already coordinating with him since the morning that we will come by and we request his present. We all arrived before 5:30pm. The shop don't close until 5:30pm. We checked out the car and still was slightly unhappy because the trunk was still off on alignment, and we found a scratch on the front bumper that was never there before, but we decided to let that slide. More damages.... 3/31/2023 This was our 6th visit to the shop: This was another very upsetting and disappointing visit. When we got there, the vehicle was in the front ready for us as i had coordinated with the GM Carlos of us coming by. I went in and Zoe the lady at the front desk asked us to sign the paper without asking us if we wanted to do a final inspection of the car. After a minute of reviewing the documents before signing, the manager (Carlos) finally came out of the office. He handed us the keys and stepped outside with us. He didn't do a walk-through with us. He kept just bragging (as like he did the courtesy of doing something good for us) about how he had professional detailer come out and clean the car and that the shop paid all for it. This was actually my request on the 4th visit. He didn't do it out of free will. But really?! They are the one who dirty the headliners in the first place; Black oiley fingerprints and marks were everywhere on the headliners. We did our own walk-through, and my husband noticed the edge of the front passenger door got a burn through and the manager did not even respond or say anything when we mentioned it to him. What upsets me the most was how unprofessional he was as a General Manager. We were about to get into the car (i had not even started the car yet), which was around 5:15pm *Note: the shop does not close until 5:30pm. The GM was so quick to get rid of us that he closed the door and locked it. I didn't think too much of it until I was trying to put on my seat belt and no it was stuck and locked. I cannot drive off without a seat belt!. *First SAFETY FAIL check by Caliber. My husband went to the door and as he tried to open the door, guess what it was LOCK!!! HE HAD TO KNOCK three to five times for someone to open. The lady at the front desk, SURPRISINLY, did not hear him, whereas I can. CLEARLY, THEY WERE IGNORING US! Finally, the manager came out. Can I stress it again that it is not even closing time yet and to lock out your customer is definitely the worst thing any shop can do, especially after so many disappointments. He came out looking so clueless as we were showing him that the seat belt isn't pulling. My husband had to check it again and was able to unlock it. After we drove off and on our way home, I noticed the blind spot sensor on the right side mirror wasn't working. *Second SAFETY FEATURE FAIL check by Caliber. When we got home, we noticed even more damages. read more

I worked with Alexander and Red and they were able to replace broken clips on my front fender to keep it in place. And, they did not charge me for their work! I received excellent service and would go back again. I remember when they repaired my mother's car after an accident and we received excellent care for that repair also. read more

I've had to work with them a couple times in the past few months, can't believe more people aren't taking about this location. Super friendly staff, and my car never takes more than 2 weeks at most. Carlos was extremely professional, easy to communicate with and he got my vehicle in quickly. I was leaving on a business trip and needed to make sure my wife was taken care of before I left. He made it happen within two days. The process was very easy, I spoke with Alexander who was the estimator. He was very informative , detailed and explained everything after a brief cursory check and let me know he would know more as the technicians took the vehicle apart. They called me promptly to explain after the discovery. The service was exception because of all the details involved .. 10/10, would recommend. Got rear ended, the other person's insurance included Caliber as an option. Everyone was very friendly and communicative, even when I was cluelessly calling to try to schedule a drop-off and didn't know I needed to schedule an estimate first. I worked with Alexander. He and the people I spoke to at the front desk were timely with all communications, scheduling, and repairs, and were willing to help accommodate some of my difficulties getting to the shop. They even cleaned my car??? Obviously, they didn't detail it or anything, but they cleaned off the floor mats, wiped down all the surfaces, and removed all of the dog hair from the back seat, a task I had been putting off for literally a year. I finally put the seat cover I had sitting in my trunk for months because I did not want to ruin that hard work! I have been meaning to make this review. I took my car back in November for a front end repair and even though the process was long [maybe 3 weeks] i kept in contact with the techs. The guy who helped me,If i remember correctly, his name was Alexander. He was very polite and would contact me for updates. On the day of my pickup i had to rush there right after work before they closed and had cash (they dont take cash!) Anyway the lady was nice enough to have somone wait for me to go buy a money order, thankfully i had a different form of payment. The reason why i didnt give this place 5 stars was because when i got my car back, 2 days into driving it i noticed on my windshield there were outlines of paper and numbers . I believe when they painted the front end, spray from the paint got on the windshield and it is very hard to see in the sun. Glare makes it worse. My car was cleaned inside and out but unfortunately they missed the windshield and now I have paint transfer. I will post pictures later. read more

This is my second experience using Caliber Collision on Folsom Blvd. Every time I have gone to them they have been very knowledgeable and responsive. My most recent experience I really feel that they went above and beyond for me, I went in for something very minor and the estimated time for repair was 2-3 days, I was able to pick up my car just over 24 hours. The gentleman that gave me the quote this time is Joseph Ricca, he dealt with my many questions and even looked at another area of my car that was scratched via picture (as I asked about it after going in for my initial estimate on another area) advised me that it may just be a surface scratch and may just be buffed out, well after I dropped my car off with in hours he called and advised me that it was deeper than a surface scratch and that they worked on it a little bit and was able to buff out some of it, and he gave me a verbal quote over the phone to take care of it. First I want to say thank you for taking time to do that and when I'm ready and can afford it I will definitely be back to get that scratch fixed. The other thing they did for me that again they didn't have to is, awhile back my battery died in my car and I had to use the key out of the fob to unlock my door so I had to remove a little cover on the drivers door and they put that back on for me as I tried and couldn't get it to go on properly. had work done here a few years ago when a lady hit me and they were great. Today I called to see if they could give me am estimate and they said the manager could fit me right away. I arrived 10 min later and Mike, the manager came right out. The paint had chipped and there were some deeper scratches that would cost $1000 to fix, which I passed on, but he offered to get the surface scratches out at no charge. He asked if I'd like a cold water, as it is 100 degrees today and sent Colton out to help. Colton was attentive to all the details and professional. He would not accept my tip. After work I was hit by a women who ran a stop sign and my vehicle was damaged on the rear passenger side door along with the panel about the tire and some of the bumper had damage as well, I was so disappointed and worried, until my mom referred me to caliber. When I brought my car to caliber the process was so swift and easy Everyone was pleasant and easy to work with, I was able to set up an appointment sign the paperwork and they called for the rental company to pick me up, I worked with Alexander and his manager joe and let's just say they were nothing short of amazing !!!! Alex went above and beyond keeping me abreast on any repairs and new estimates on the damages for my vehicle he also kept me abreast on time frame to repair my vehicle. When I picked up we did a walk through and he explained everything that was repaired on the vehicle once the walk through was complete that was it !! I left the rental and was back on the road !! FINALLY picked up our car 4/21/17 (3rd pickup) This time I was prepared. I had a checklist. With our last 2 pickups experience I was not prepared. I was not going to risk it again for the 3rd time. Everything was fixed this time & working as it should be EXCEPT I didn't have my seat covers because they said they order it and it should be shipped to their shop Thursday, 4/27/17. Today is Friday, 4/28/17 No one called me. This afternoon I emailed the Shop manager Joseph, Shop Estimator Joshua & Gieco Adjuster Stephen. 3 people and still no one reached out to me. I emailed all 3 of them to see who will call me. Instead of me calling 3 people & leaving them all the same voice mail. I'm so frustrated. there was tree branches that fell down on my car windshield and went through my dashboard I took my car here to caliber collision and carlos knew what I was going through , Carlos made sure that everything went right with fixing my car. I was so dissapointed with my experience at Caliber Collision. Who ever the technician was that took apart my vehicle to inspect the damage was HORRIBLE. So I'm assuming that originally when they took apart my car to assess the damages (they assumed that they were going to be fixing it and buy new parts to replace) so they completely ripped apart my car, cut off parts, metal torn. So when my insurance decided not to get my car fixed, a minor fender bender was now a serious problem because they didn't take the time to unscrew bolts, instead they just ripped it apart. This is the worst place to take your car to. When I had my automobile accident I took my car to them because they were conveniently close...I didn't want to drive my car too far in fear or it getting messed up even more. It is taking them over a month...they still have it. They never told me how long they would have my car. They still have my car now! Every time when I called to get an update on my car they would keep saying "It'll be done next week." They have said that over and over for the past 5 weeks. Yesterday when I called they said my car will be done today. I called to confirm about my car being finished. When I did they told me more parts had to be ordered. I have already filled a complaint on them with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. I strongly suggest that you take your car somewhere else. Never go to Calibar Collision at this location. read more

I was referred here by Quick Quack Car Wash (on Bicentennial Ct) to get my rear windshield wiper replaced after it broke off during a car wash. I easily made an appointment with the friendly receptionist over the phone to come in for an estimate at 4:45pm. I had to wait about 10-15 minutes, no big deal, before Carlos was able to check out my car. We filled out the paperwork and he said he just needed approval of the $20 estimate from Quick Quack but would also need to order the part. I waited a week and hadn't heard from either company. I called Caliber and the receptionist apologized and said that she had called me last week. I check my phone everyday and there was no message from Caliber. So she scheduled an appointment that week to come in. Unfortunately, I had something come up so I called them the day before my appointment to cancel. When I rescheduled, I had to do it during my lunch hour because I was told there aren't any techs available after 4:30pm (when I'm off work). I showed up, waited 10-15 minutes, again no big deal, and Carlos went outside to replace the wiper. He came back in and said it was the wrong wiper blade, and he needed to re-order it. I didn't ask if they were sent the wrong one, or if he ordered the wrong one. Either way, I just wasted my lunch hour. So Carlos said when the part came in (about 3 days), he would come to me (to make up for my inconvenience, which was a nice gesture). After 3 days (Friday) I get a call asking when I'd like to come in because the wiper was ready. I explained that Carlos said he would come to my job and do it. So we scheduled for him to come out the next Wednesday morning. Wednesday came and went and no phone call from Carlos or Caliber. I was put-off by that point. An entire week went by and I called Caliber and the receptionist said she had just come across my paperwork and was wondering why it wasn't finished. She said if Carlos doesn't do it then she would have to contact the manager. I was under the impression that Carlos WAS the manager! He and a technician finally came to my job and it was fixed in about 5 minutes. Carlos was a friendly person but his poor communication skills were very unprofessional and translated into wasted time and inconvenience for me. If I need to use a body shop/auto repair in the future, I won't be using Caliber Collision, nor could I recommend them to anyone based on my experience. read more

Recently my wife got in a bad car accident. We never realized what a terrible experience an accident can be. Insurance companies, rental cars, police reports, medical appointments etc... We called the dealer to see where we should take the car and they recomended Caliber Collision. With the whole experience the only bright spot was the service at Caliber. On our first visit we met the manager Alex Lozano. He clearly related to our situation and so far has been the most empathetic person we have worked with during this difficult situation. We had a lot of questions, maybe too many, but Alex hung in there and kept us calm the whole way. We ended up working with Joe Ricca and received the same type of service from him. They held my car for 6 days before telling me this even though I did a walk through with a technician and told him the side with damage had work done before I owned the car. Irritating and time wasting. 2 stars because they were at least nice, stored my car for an extra 24 hours until I could get it moved, and did not try to charge me anything. read more
