I had an overall professional interaction with Caliber Collision. The staff at Caliber Collision was professional and courteous throughout the process., and I appreciate the time they spent reviewing my vehicle. However, we were not able to move forward due to differences regarding the repair authorization terms. My concerns were with several provisions, including: * Language stating, they are not responsible for damage to the vehicle while in their possession * The Power of Attorney provision allowing them to endorse insurance checks on my behalf * A waiver of written estimate * Broad authorization to access vehicle data beyond what is necessary for repairs (I was not involved in an accident) * Electronic signature and communication consent terms (Stated it was optional) I was seeking clarity and reasonable adjustments around certain provisions, particularly related to transparency and customer protections. Unfortunately, there did not seem to be much flexibility or willingness to address those concerns. While I understand businesses have standard policies, I do to and I believe customers should have transparency when it comes to the amount of money involved in making repairs, especially when it comes to customer rights and repair agreements. I respect their decision just as I expect mine to be respected. read more

I just received my car back from caliber collision today and she's a fresh new beauty you'd never even know I was in a car accident! Also might I add they cleaned my car out as well and wiped my car down so it would be spotless! I will definitely be recommending them and they will always get my business! I came to this auto body place because of the good yelp review and because I knew of the shop from back in California. It was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made with one of my cars. I brought it in over some dents on the bumper and door due to hitting something on the freeway. The service advisor was great but the technicians might as well have painted it in their garage. I first got my car back and it was peeling clear coat, had bubbling paint, bumps under the paint that looked like sand, not to mention tons of extra damage that wasn't there when I dropped it off. (I never thought I should have taken pictures of my car before I dropped it off at a body shop). They scratched my leather driver seat probably from having keys in back pocket, scratched my rear window as it looked like they used it as a cutting board for an exacto knife. (They did replace the window on them as they should have). They had my car for almost 70 days and had to paint it twice. They ruined the ceramic coating on not just the part that got repaired but the whole car by washing it with what might as well been steel wool. If you have a car that you actually care about, I would recommend you paint it in your garage before you bring it here because they will not only do a bad paint job, they will damage your car, scratch it up, and then make you feel like your in the wrong as if they didn't do any of the damage. They will treat your car like a 90s Honda Civic and that's the paint job you will receive. The regional manager got involved and that was the only good management I received. Their paint and prep crew need more experience to work on high end cars. I don't leave bad reviews but this was a horrible experience overall and although they attempted to repair some of the damage that they did to the car under their watch there is still a lot of damage. They had a detailer that "fixed" the damage on the car that they caused with scratches everywhere but they really just dug into the paint with a buffer and you can just see scratches from the machine wherever they tried to fix. The manager will probably comment on this saying I'm bsing or whatever but I have never received a worse paint job and worse management comments, at one point he asked me why I don't just take it somewhere else after I had already paid them. Anyways if you don't give a f about your car take it here and have them f it up. I've had engines built and custom paint jobs on an entire car done before they could fix a couple panels properly. Anyways don't take my word here are some pics. Keep in mind I took these pictures after I dropped my car off for the second time just so I would have records if they scratched the car up even more. Wow, this is the most straightforward review I've ever written. This shop is simply the most outstanding collision center I've ever used ( and unfortunately I've experienced several LOL). I brought in my daughters Subaru because another driver hit her and damaged both doors and rear quarter panel. It was being paid for by her Nationwide policy and Caliber was an approved Nationwide partner. From the moment we started the folks at Caliber were proactive and on point. They called me, we got the car scheduled in quickly and the estimate was fast and professional. They had to order new doors which took awhile due to parts coming from Subaru - but that said, they beat their finish date by 6 days. Chad was the most professional person I've ever dealt with. He left me almost daily updates on the cars status. It was frickin phenomenal. When it was done, I couldn't get there until right at their closing time on a beautiful Friday. They cheerfully waited for me and didn't make me feel the slightest bit rushed - even though I'm sure they were ready for the weekend. And the quality of the work was excellent. Their service was so good, I had Chad look at a dent on the bumper of my OTHER car to get a quote to fix it. I had procrastinated getting this minor work done, but I figured I'd never find someone is rather have do the work. I'm serious, don't go anywhere else. These folks are amazing. I took our Honda Civic into Caliber following a somewhat minor accident that still caused a good bit of physical damage to the passenger side. They were awesome throughout. Let me start by saying I'm only giving this business one star because Yelp requires one in order to post. Brought my car to Caliber to get repairs done after a fender bender. Came back to pick up my car. Bumper fixed, yes. New scratch marks on my car that looked like wolverine had taken it for a test drive that weren't there before, yes. Was told that he needed to take a look at the pictures to verify that they weren't there before. I think my "WTF is that on my car!?!?!" should have been proof enough. Now sitting in the waiting room waiting for them to "buff" them out. Here is some advice, make sure to take pictures of your car before you leave it with them because they definitely will to cover themselves. UPDATE: Wolverine love taps fixed "for the purpose of good customer service". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? YOU scratch my car and then say you fixed it for good customer service bc "the pictures you took weren't good ones"? NO, you fixed it because you scratched my car. When you marked previous damaged on my car with the adjustor, wouldn't you have noticed long scratches on my car and marked those? I'm LIVID. Now i'm late for work plus insulting my intelligence equals I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS BUSINESS. New update 7/27 7:46pm. Took my car to be washed and wouldn't you know, under all the wax they slapped on my car are the indentions where they scratched it. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! This is by far the worst repair shop I had ever been to. I've been there now for the fourth time and the car is still not repaired. I was in a rear end collision on the right side. First, they did not even inspect the damages thoroughly and instead only 'fixed' the bumper. By fix, I mean do a paint job on the broken bumper and then align it back to its original place improperly. They failed to open the trunk to see the damages inside. There are broken plastic plastic components, upraised cloth overlay, and misaligned trunk door. I would not go to this repair shop to have any repairs done. Go to a reputable shop and have it done right the first time. read more

We've taken our car here twice. Once in 2016 for a second estimate. The prior estimate was for just under $1,000. Caliber managed to buff and polish the scratches on our bumper so that no one except us could see the damage. Cost = ZERO. I was seriously impressed. So, in early 2017, we were hit in a parking lot by a 91 year old driving a Cadillac. I told my insurance company I wanted to bring the car to Caliber, and happily, they were an approved repair shop. The car was in the shop the next day, fixed within two weeks - including them buffing and polishing damage on the other side of the car that was unrelated to this claim. Again cost was ZERO. These people are efficient, do great work, keep in touch throughout the process and have Enterprise rent a car onsite. Our cars will never go anywhere else if we need body work. read more

I needed some work on my tail light. Customer service was atrocious. I stopped in or called, 3 times to make an appointment. I never was able to even schedule an appointment. All I got each time was a runaround, and a promise that someone would call me. My only guess is that it was a small job of several $100s, and they didn't want to be "bothered". Plus, I didn't have insurance, so they couldn't bilk me out of a few "extras". So, I used a locally owned body shop, who treated me like gold. I really don't know why anyone would use Caliber when there's locally owned shops that actually care about their customers. read more

They suck in service. I delivered my vehicle 5 days ago and today was informed I needed to sign some papers. Really? My vehicle sat there for 5 days and no one contacted me? I was a little upset. I get a call from Caliber informing me this. Wasn't very happy. Then I talked to the service manager on the phone. Gerald was very rude and arrogant on the Phone. I was informed by Gerald that he didn't want my business any more. I'm with USAA and they recommended this shop. I let them know. They don't have their act together. . Excellent service AND repairs. Worked with a member of each team from front desk, to enterprise reps, to service tech and it was all beyond my expectation. I normally have major trust issues with car people but my tech...Rusty (I think?) kept in communication with me while my repair progressed and I the repairs were so good even I couldn't tell they did any work. (Replaced entire front bumper too) And especially the kind/considerate help from the lady that helped me at enterprise (across the street) and then stayed after hours on a Friday to ensure my charges were accurate. I want to give major praise to Rusty Wilson for helping me repair and buff out some scratches on the spot after a minor fender bender. I originally took my car to Gerber Collision for an estimate and it came back at around $1,000. I took it to Caliber for a second opinion and Rusty looked at the damage and managed to buff and polish the scratches on the bumper on the spot. He also looked under the car to see if there was any interior damage. He didn't charge us anything for this repair, which I really appreciated. He fixed the car in about 20 minutes and even buffed out some extra scratches on the back while he had the tool out. He was very professional and courteous. The fact that Gerber wanted to charge $1,000 for the repair and this one cost ZERO speaks volumes. I cannot thank Rusty enough for the wonderful customer service, the kindness and the experience. I learned a valuable lesson in this as well--I will always take my car to Caliber Collision first before going to any competitors. I'll always remember this act of kindness by Rusty. read more

This process has been incredibly frustrating. I dropped my car off on Friday at 7:30am. When I scheduled my appointment prior to this, I told them I needed them to look at my bumper, replace one of my rear view mirrors, and fix my AC. I asked if it was possible to do all of this, and they assured me it was. When I brought my car in, they told me they don't fix AC. Awkward LOL because it's 93 degrees every day and humid and my AC is broken and you said you'd fix it, how nuts! I ended up opting not to get my bumper fixed (damage was minor) and just went with replacing my mirror. They told me it'd be ready that afternoon. I'm writing this review on Tuesday mid morning and I STILL don't have my car. I've had to call out of work two days in a row. Yesterday (Monday) i called in because I got auto texted saying it was almost done. lo and behold, they don't even have the part they promised they would but she said she'd call later that day. Probably not surprising that I never received a call. I, again, had to call in today after receiving yet another auto text that it was almost done. She told me the part still hasn't been delivered and would be tomorrow morning. Taking bets on if that's actually the truth or if I'll be calling out of work for the 3rd day in a row. read more

They moved my vehicle across town and stripped key parts of it that still belonged to me for salvage. They took what they wanted when it was on their lot and I had to replace all of the sensors which cost me hundreds of dollars. I then called them to complain and instead of trying to reimburse me they acted like I was an idiot for calling them and instead of actually helping me they tried to point out that I was using the incorrect terminology for such a part. I wrote a review yesterday and selected the wrong location in Raleigh. The following review should have been written against Caliber Collision on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh as well as the Caliber Collision shop in Fuquay Varina where the car was moved to and they never looked at the car for 6 days: Review written: My step-daughter had a car accident on 10/12/18. Thank God she and the other party are ok. We have State Farm insurance and Caliber Collision in Raleigh was on the preferred list so she took the car over there for repairs. The car sat 4 days without being looked at! The Raleigh store then moved it over to the Fuquay location and once again it sat until 10/2218! At this point I/we are beside ourselves and I called State Farm and asked to have the car towed immediately to Cary Collision in Apex. The car was moved on 10/22/18 and it is now in good hands. We have used Cary Collision several times (unfortunately) and they are honest, do great work and have a quick turn around time. In retrospect we should have taken the car there in the first place since the rental car we currently have is costing us $$$. Never again with Caliber and oh yes the corporate office will be getting the rental car bill along with some choice words! Tom read more

Everyone is so friendly here which makes for a pleasant environment in a usually stressful situation. My car got backed into in my work parking lot and they did an amazing job fixing up my bumper! It looks like new. Although I am pleased with the original job they did, what I am really thankful for is that Dana and William helped me buff out a scratch that had been bothering me for a while free of charge! I dropped it by on my way back from an oil change and in about five minutes it looked so much better. They also didn't charge me for it which brought me the ultimate happiness!!! I can't say enough good things about Caliber. This location has a Geico adjuster and an Enterprise representative, so I dropped my car off, had the adjuster take a look at it, and was on my way in a rental in less than 30 minutes. It took them two days, which was one day less than originally estimated, to fix my bumper after (what appeared to me to be) a pretty significant fender bender, and I picked it up and was out of there in 20 minutes. The work looks great and is guaranteed for as long as I own my vehicle. My best friend had a similarly great experience with Caliber at the Capitol Blvd location, who actually dealt with a particularly stubborn insurance company who was refusing to claim liability despite a police report that put the other driver at fault on her behalf. The actual work that Caliber did is excellent, but it's their customer service that puts them far above other repair shops I've dealt with in the past. read more

I smashed the bumper and front light housing of my brand new car by smashing into a curb while listening to the radio loud. Stupid. I drove around for over a year because I knew I'd be paying it myself and I thought it would be a lot of money to replace a new bumper, etc. I finally got sick of the way my car looked and too it to Caliber which is where Johnson Subaru sent me. I was impressed by the service and professionalism at every level. The estimate was done carefully and explained to me every step of the way in writing. It took about four-five days because they had to repaint the bumper and get a hard to come by part from the manufacturer. When I saw the car I couldn't believe it -- I couldn't see any sign of collision or repair. And the price was less than half of what I prepared to pay. They are great and I recommend them. read more

After backing into my wife's vehicle in our driveway I took the car over to Caliber Collision for repairs as it was on the list of certified auto repairs from my insurance company. I couldn't be happier with the way the car came back to us. My wife is absolutely thrilled with the quality of work. Walking into Caliber, I was introduced to Rusty who would handle the repairs to the rear end of the car. Rusty went over the car with me when I brought it in and did an initial evaluation of the damage. After Rusty got to remove the bumper it was discovered that I had damaged one of the panels behind the bumper and repairs would take longer than expected. Rusty called me with updates every few days letting me know the status of the vehicle and made sure I was able to get set up with a rental through the enterprise office on site at Caliber. To top it all off Rusty was able to get the car done 5 days ahead of schedule and even met me after hours to go over the repairs with me and give me the keys. I cant imagine many other collision repair professionals who would go through that kind of trouble for a customer. He really treats his customer's vehicles like they are his own! read more
