Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose,wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. The manager on duty was not helpful, with a "Tough luck" attitude, and blaming "supply line issues". I contacted their national help desk and was assured that their North Carolina- based management team would contact the location, and I received a phone message later that day from the local duty manager that " since (they) could not meet my needs" I should take the car to another business. Not only did they not do the work in a timely manner as was expected by me and my insurance provider, they refused to make good and complete the work.

However, we were not able to move forward due to differences regarding the repair authorization terms. My concerns were with several provisions, including: * Language stating, they are not responsible for damage to the vehicle while in their possession * The Power of Attorney provision allowing them to endorse insurance checks on my behalf * A waiver of written estimate * Broad authorization to access vehicle data beyond what is necessary for repairs (I was not involved in an accident) * Electronic signature and communication consent terms (Stated it was optional) I was seeking clarity and reasonable adjustments around certain provisions, particularly related to transparency and customer protections. Unfortunately, there did not seem to be much flexibility or willingness to address those concerns. While I understand businesses have standard policies, I do to and I believe customers should have transparency when it comes to the amount of money involved in making repairs, especially when it comes to customer rights and repair agreements. While staff was nice it took a month to get my truck and picked up today. I found a door part that wasn't installed which they fixed onsite and once I got home I realized the door panel wasn't fully installed. Once the protective coating was removed from the chrome bumper, no one cleaned so there was glue & other stuff on the chrome and I spent 20 mins at home with chrome polish to clean., There was overspray on my driver's door window, runs in the clear coat on the hood & door, and specks/lumps of clear coat on the fender and hood, and when someone pulled off the tape to protect rest of truck from overspray it pulled off some pin striping. I have an appointment to return on Monday. I hope the CEO reads this blog and is embarrassed so not only does my truck get fixed properly but someone else doesn't have to endure this type of situation. Yes, I'm pretty ticked!!! Unfortunately my insurance selected the cheaper quote but Scott Richards and his team were phenomenal. I called and spoke with a young lady prior to coming out to grab my estimate. She was so nice and very helpful. Thanks to my initial conversation with her I went ahead and showed up to grab an estimate for damages on my vehicle. Scott was patient and eager to help. I'm sure he could tell I was nervous about all of this and he did an amazing job at claiming my nerves lol. He was assertive and confident that Westgate could have my car looking almost brand new again. My insurance required me to grab two quotes. Westgate's quote was a tad bit more than the other quote I grabbed so of course the insurance is going to go with the cheaper option. The quote Scott gave me was actually good for the amount of work they were performing. This is a true white glove service collision center…read morewith top notch service, and it's the only "preferred" collision center for Tesla other than Tesla's own collision shops. I had cosmetic damage from an accident that was luckily cut and dry not my fault thanks to a dash camera. - estimate appointment was available in a week, they only do estimates in-person (unlike some other places that do online estimates using photos). This does seem like a long time, however other shops I reached out to were all 1-2 weeks out and Tesla's own shop was a month out. - you work with one person through the entire process who oversees everything. I cannot emphasize enough how nice this is. In contrast, every time you call or chat in app with Tesla's shop it's always a different person. Things can get lost/delayed/overlooked pretty easily like that. I worked with Brent and he was fantastic. - once I talked to the insurance adjuster and let them know of my choice for the shop and once I signed the papers, I was able to drop off the car in 11 days with 10 day ETA for the repair. Insurance I had a claim through has some sort of agreement with Triangle Collision where they direct bill them and handle all the paperwork for you. I spoke exactly one time with the insurance adjuster, Triangle Collision had me sign one paper via email to get the ball rolling, I then signed a paper at drop off and at pickup, that's it. Very easy. - drop off was a breeze, they are partners with Enterprise and they call a shuttle for you to get you to the local nearby Enterprise branch to pick up a rental car - Brent provided regular updates and the car was done 2 days ahead of schedule - pickup was very easy, they allow you to drop off the rental car right at the shop, you just can't beat the convenience of that I'm very satisfied with the repair, you can't tell the car was repaired. Paint is matched perfectly. I received a warranty booklet for the repair too, hopefully won't need to use it ever! From the research I've done the final cost of the repair turned out to be on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. I would not think twice about choosing any other collision center but this one for my future car body work needs.
