I am very impressed with John's Collision. I recently experienced my first wildlife collision with my 2013 Altima while driving during the early morning. It appeared as though I hit an animal in the road but would later discover that it was a deer. AAA Insurance referred me to John's as a certified shop. I read the Yelp and Google reviews and my instincts trusted that I would be in good hands. I visited the shop and John completed a estimate for me within minutes sharing that the damage appeared to be from the impact of a deer in headlights. The business is so popular that it took about 4 weeks to schedule the repair. When I arrived Sheri took care of me and John personally dropped myself and another customer over to the Enterprise Rental Car office. We got to ride in style in his brand new hellcat. It took a little over a week to complete the bumper replacement and the paint job was challenging. Sheri explained that John wanted to get the paint blended accurately. My Altima is a 2013 and has had body work completed quite a few times with different collision shops in New York. John is honest and worked hard to make sure that I was satisfied with the outcome of the body work. The car looks the best it's been and he even covered a paint chip on the hood that was an eyesore. I brought my 2020 Jeep Wrangler to John's Collision Center after damaging my front bumper. The Jeep dealership body shop was literally right across the street from John's, but they didn't get great reviews. I'm happy with the repair. The back door of my car was scraped, and John's Collision did a great job with the repair at a reasonable price. I got quotes from John's, Hendrick Collision, Caliber Collision, and Gerber Collision. Here were the results: Hendrick Collision: $2,206 Gerber Collision & Glass: $1,700 Caliber Collision: $2,150 John's Collision: $1,552 Naturally, I went with John's. The car looks great, and drives the same as before the scrape. This shop seems much more reasonably priced than the competition. The only thing is, I had to wait about 2 weeks to get an appointment. It must be because everyone in town knows they do great work. It's a smaller shop, so they don't seem to be able to fit as many cars in as once. Since it wasn't an urgent repair, I had no problem waiting until they were able to get me in. I really like the lady who works at the front desk, and does the estimates. Service is terrible. I took my Prius in last November for the underside to be checked before I gave it to my son for him, his wife and baby. John told me he couldn't look at it that day but to bring it in Fri. after Thanksgiving. I mentioned that it was Thanksgiving and were they really working. He said they would be since they had too much business. I took my car that morning and no one was there. I called and left a message and never heard back. I took my car elsewhere. Then I took my new Lexus for a minor scrape by the trunk where my husband put a bike in. I did not want to go there but my husband insisted. He had a good experience there. They wanted $714. to repair a minor scratch and said it would take 2 days. My husband said it was fine so I took my car there last Tuesday, 8/10/21. I asked if they could keep my car and I would pick it up on Monday, 8/16/21. I went to pick it up Monday morning and it wasn't ready. I asked Sherry why not because they had it for 6 days and knew I would pick it up Mon. She had some excuse about an employee having COVID. Said they should have called me. When I went to pick it up later that day, I thought she may give me a discount for not having it ready. Nope. Full estimated price. She had no mask on and my husband asked why since an employee had COVID. She said she hadn't even been vaccinated and wouldn't be. So based on the poor service, lack of communication, and being untruthful about when things would be done and when they would be in the office, do not use this business. Also if you care about your health, do not go to this business where employees and owners are proud to not be vaccinated. read more

I had to bring my car in for repairs after a fender bender accident (not my fault; covered by other insurance). The service was top-notch. Sherry, the office manager, did a great job communicating the status of our repairs and led us through the process. The repairs came out great. A week after the repairs were done, our check engine came on. I called John's and they offered to look at the problem. I took the car in and they did it right then and made a small repair to resolve the issue for free, even though it doesn't seem to be related to the accident or repairs they made. The wife pulled too far forward over one of those concrete parking lot stops and one of the rebar spikes intended to keep it from moving was not driven in flush. When she went to back out it, the rebar hooked the underside of the bumper and ripped it off on the drives side. Thinking it would require a whole new bumper, we decided to get some estimate and file a claim against the store. Our first stop was John's since this shop was BBB Accredited. We showed up on Monday morning and met John as he opened the front door. He looked at the bumper and said that he was confident they could removed the bumper and repair the mounting points and the crack the went about 6 inches on the underside of the bumper. We asked how much, and suffice it to say it was about 10% the cost I was thinking this would be. They loaned my wife a car (for free) and had the work done by 1PM. These guys are beyond five stars in every aspect! I've used John's twice now- the first time was from my accident in September 2015 (sitting at a stoplight off the highway and was rear-ended). I had originally chosen a different collision center to do the repairs for my bumper/trunk. After the first shop failed to correctly repair my car TWICE (resulting in a major leak via my trunk soaking my carpets and leaving the car with a horrendous smell), I changed over to John's. Boy, am I glad I did! They got rid of the stench and CORRECTLY repaired the damages in just a few days (amazing turnaround, considering the first shop had my car for over 3 weeks!). Matt (tech) showed me exactly where the leaks were coming from and then showed me the places again after he sealed them up. They checked to make sure it was no longer leaking several times before they gave it back to me...and to this day I have had no issues! My most recent experience with John's was from my accident in April (driving thru downtown and was t-boned by someone who went thru a stop sign). After a few days of waiting for the woman's insurance to accept responsibility, I was inexpressibly stressed to find out the lady's policy had ended a week before the accident, therefore her (previous) insurance company would not cover the repairs. John's alongside Nationwide transformed a SUPER STRESSFUL event into a no-stress one. How? Nationwide was able to cover my repairs and even give me a rental even though I only had liability. Sheri had to make several phone calls to make arrangements for my rental car but she did it with a smile. Matt and John did the repairs to the driver and passenger doors. The body work and paint job is fantastic! In less than a week, I had my car back - with no need to go back for corrections ;) They kept me so well informed on the status of my car throughout the whole process (both accidents). The customer service is unlike any I have ever experienced, five stars for the entire team. I will definitely be going back to John's for any future repair needs and I HIGHLY recommend you do the same. read more

These guys are awesome. I am going through a tough time in my life (divorce) and I had an accident in my driveway running into one of my husband's junker project cars clogging up the driveway one morning. The black rustoleum painted iron/steel truckbed of a 63 ford truck was left down and dented in and scraped my rear passenger side door and rear corner panel on my white 08 vw passat. I was so upset when it happened for a lot of reasons--the timing was terrible. When I first brought my car to John's I got the estimate in hand during the first visit (within 15-20 minutes). When I brought my car in they gave me a ride to Enterprise right away to get my loaner car only minimally impacting my morning commute. I just got my car back and the best part is how great my car looked when they were done. I just picked up my car today and it looks like a brand new car. The exterior was gleaming and the interior was also detailed free of charge-I was overjoyed that they did that as a courtesy. My car looks beautiful and I could not be happier. I wouldn't consider another body shop after my experience with John's Collision Center. I can't say enough good things about them but for starters #1 I got the owner, John, on the phone the first time I called and he took the time to listen carefully to my story about my car, #2 in sharp contrast to Hendrick's Collision Center (Page Road Ext.) who told me outright that they preferred to work with insurance companies rather than individuals and I should start there, John after hearing my story encouraged me to stop by without an appointment as soon as convenient, #3 when I arrived, a mechanic greeted me and assessed my car damage quickly telling me that they would order a part needed and give me call when it arrived (probably could just stop by again at my convenience for the work to be done), #4) the successful conclusion of these services were as promised and there was no need for an estimate because there was no charge. I was so grateful for the way I'd been treated from step #1 through step #4, that I've wanted to tell everyone. John's Collision Center will get any body shop work I have in the future and I hope the business of anyone who enjoys being treated with respect while receiving high quality work from a business with integrity. read more
