USAA insurance sent me to Caliber for repair of bumper on my car that was hit in a parking lot. The people at Caliber where just great and the repair was top notch.There was a glitch in the power to the break lights that caused a problem but they took care of getting me a rental suv while the problem was resolved. Great bunch of people with an extra bonus of having a real live person (Leslie) answering the phone with the customer not having to go thru a push number system to try and get a real live person to talk to. read more

Recently had some damage to my car due to road debris and Geico suggested this place since I could get my rental and just drop it off all in one place. I dealt with Mario and he was super easy to deal with. He kept me informed throughout the whole process and even helped me out with additional repairs that needed to be done that insurance wouldn't cover at a slightly discounted price. The receptionist was always friendly when I was there and they had my car completed in the timeframe committed. Overall you couldn't ask for a better experience. My parked car was hit by a driver going too fast through a parking garage. As a Caliber employee, I knew exactly where I wanted to send my vehicle. I was expecting the usual stress that comes with the process of insurance, approvals, rentals, etc. However, Caliber made this process very easy. I was updated at least twice weekly via phone or email by tech Mario, on the stages my vehicle went through. My process took a total of 4 weeks. I heard from Caliber at least 6 times. The insurance company only contacted me twice. Once my car was ready for pickup, not only did the GM bring my car to me, he returned my rental as well. I will definitely recommend Caliber to those in need of car repairs. Mario, Alan, and the Office admin went above and beyond before knowing I was an employee. You guys are appreciated! Update: Contrary to their comment below, they never responded to my email. AVOID THIS LOCATION. Brand new car driven only for a few days went in for repairs to the left rear quarter fender and bumper. After a month repairs, the car was brought back with a misaligned bumper and trunk, scratches all over the rear area where work was done, and paint compound stained into the leather seats. Received car back for second time after a week and now there is a huge dent to metal part of front bumper, still misaligned rear bumper, old scratches not addressed with of course even more scratches, and now more paint compound on the seats. I work in the automotive industry and understand the struggle going on right now...but this is outrageous that their manager (Jason) would allow this to even leave the shop not once, but twice. Avoid this location and take it somewhere else. read more

I would advise against taking your vehicle to this particular location. I have personally experienced discrimination due to my gender, minority status, and accent. During my interactions with staff, I have been laughed at while attempting to communicate with them. Additionally, my trunk has been in their possession for almost a year without much communication or updates from them. When I call for updates I am told to "investigate myself" if I try and question them. In the interest of your time and well-being, I would suggest finding a more welcoming and respectful location to service your vehicle. They have no empathy. Writing this review for my dad, who would like to express his gratitude to this team. He said a man named Hector kept him up to date on the car and the repairs. He was easy to talk to and work with. We live in Bedford and Plano was the closest, available location that would take my car in a little over a month ago. By the time my car was ready, the general manager (didn't catch his name) was so amazing and drove my car and dropped it off to our home!! This man was so kind and friendly and professional and the fact that he drove my car all the way here - we can't even begin to express how grateful that made us feel. I took my car to this Caliber location after an accident and was updated frequently about what was going on with my car... this was awesome! The day I went to pick up my car, I called and let them know I would be there and they asked me to let them know when I was on my way. So I did. When I got there, I was the only customer and it took almost 30 minutes for my car to be ready. I'm still confused why I made that second call...? Then the woman at the front desk charged me for the full amount so I asked why the insurance company didn't pay for it since I was only planning on paying my deductible. She said that the insurance company pays me and them back after all is said and done. I've never been through this process before so I just charged it to my credit card and called my insurance company later that day. As most of you probably know, I only owed them the deductible. This was 2 weeks ago today and the charge is still on my credit card. I've called and asked about it and was told that they were waiting for a check to clear but it would most likely be by the end of that day... 6 days ago. I think I'm most frustrated that NO ONE HAS CALLED ME to let me know anything about this mistake or to apologize. Now I'm waiting for them to open so I can call them again to find out what is going on. read more

All I had to do was drop off the car to Darren and drive off on rental. And in just two weeks he emailed me saying car was ready. I was a little apprehensive seeing the rating before going. But insurance (Geico) offering it as a selected shop and most reviews being five or one stars eased my mind a bit (is everyone you meet either perfect or abysmal?). The Geico rep blew through the transaction and offered an opinion about how long repairs would take. This had no basis in reality, but it was obvious he was trying to just get me to the next person. The next person (people) were CC employees who handled it from there. They were politce and courteous. It was a satisfactory experience from there on out. Two issues: A lot of reviews cited lack of communication. That is true. They will say they will call you. They will not. You have to call them. Also, the time estimates had no basis in simple math: The work will take two days. The part could take two or three days. So we think maybe we can get it done by Friday. This was offered on a Wednesday afternoon. Turned out, they did have it done by Friday, but probably padded the amount of time in the estimate to make it look like they were ... I was exiting the highway and my tire blew out. I parked at the restaurant beside caliber collision. I changed my tire to my spare, only to find out it was flat as well. After leaving the gym and switching tires I used my sweaty shirt to clean my hands and I was without a shirt. I looked up and saw what was a godsend. I walked over to the Caliber Collision almost in tears after my day and shirtless. I walked up and I asked a lady for some help to get some air for my tire. She put a big smile on her face and came to help me. After about 15 minutes we discovered my spare had a leak. The fact I wasn't getting anything from there and I had an employee put a huge smile on her face and come and help me in a time of need is something I will never forget. I was also very down on myself and the lady was doing everything she could to lift my spirits. I truly hope something happens to my car so I can take it their for my repairs. God awful doesn't begin to describe this place. I had front end damage on my Subaru Legacy and after my vehicle was dropped off, Jamie called asking if I wanted my car to be classified as totaled to the insurance company or would I like to get it fixed. That's a question?? We got it "fixed" and Jamie kept giving the run around every time we called to get a status update. He never called us unless we called him. Almost a month later, he said we could come get the car. We pick it up, start driving, and a piece just fell off the car as we were driving. I'm not talking a small piece. I'm talking a 4-5 foot piece of plastic near the wheel just fell off. We took it back and noticed other pieces were missing when we popped the hood. In total I noticed three pieces were missing under the hood PLUS the piece that just fell off. Make sure you compare photos of under the hood with your vehicle prior to pick up. I can't say enough good things about the Caliber Collision team at Central Plano. I had work done at another Caliber Collision 2 years prior, that didn't keep. I first went to a Caliber Collision in McKinney, he did a quick inspection said, the Caliber place that worked on my care before was out of his area, but took my info and referred me to the Central Plano team. The Central Plano team reached out and set up a time to see them. I went to Central Plano and from the start, extreme professionalism. We set a day for me to turn in my vehicle that meeting. The day I turned in my vehicle, they had me driven to Enterprise for a rental car. They even gave me a Nissan Maxima not some Honda fit garbage! The work took an extra week, so they contacted Enterprise about extending the rental for another week. During the time they were doing the body work, my battery died. They went and got me a Toyota certified battery for my Highlander. The day I came to pick up my car, I realized that they had my car washed. (It just rained the night before I turned my car in and it was muddy all over). I was low on fuel when I turned my car in and they added some fuel, so they could complete their test. Caliber at the Central Plano location was very professional and didn't bad mouth the other shop that did the work the first time. Caliber honored the warranty and then some. They went above and beyond and made the whole process painless. I want to point out, I paid for the battery! So people won't think Caliber will pay for new batteries! Lol, they just saved me the time and aggravation of having to research and buy a new battery as soon as my highlander would have been returned. I can't say enough about Caliber and will highly recommend them to my family and friends! read more

This has been one of the worst experiences in my life. I dropped in for an estimate and they seemed to be "put off" that I wasn't using insurance. Then the told me I needed to make an appointment if I wasn't using insurance. During this visit they had completed cars parked in all the handicap spaced for pick up and even one in the path of the curb ramp. I played along and made an appointment. Today I showed up and was faced again with cars parked in the handicap spaces. After getting my scooter out and struggling long up the curb since the ramp was blocked, I made it in to be greater by a semi rude(sorry to bother you look) girl with dyed blonde hair. Then the guy came for the estimate. Must say, I'd feel more comfortable walking onto a slimy used car lot. He seemed to have little clue -fairly nice though-and again kept pushing to use my insurance instead of cash. They must get kick backs and such, mmm...He reluctantly finally took my car back to look at the hail damage under a covered area. Novel idea! Better than looking in the sun at a white car! Now I'm waiting..............okay, he is back and in my opinion was an overly priced estimate. More than 1000 dollars than 3 other estimates. I think I'll go to service king and suggest people that are handicap or just recovering from a surgery with handicap tags should use another place like Service King where I'll take mine after this experience!! read more

I have to say, after seeing the rating on Yelp, I was really apprehensive. But a previous claims appraiser had told me he takes his own cars to Caliber (not this one in particular, but Caliber in general). And since they have a Geico claims office on site, plus an Enterprise rental office, it seemed like the easiest and lowest effort way to get both myself and my car back on the road (the person that hit me had Geico, and I wanted to use one of their preferred shops so I could get the lifetime warranty). Greeted immediately upon walking in. The lady at the front desk had my information, just had me fill out some paperwork, and offered me a beverage while I waited. The Geico claims adjuster on site (Shannon) met me a few minutes later to go over the damage to my car (minor - got clipped by someone changing lanes, so it was mostly paint damage, plus a gouge in the bumper). I was there about 30 minutes start to finish - from parking to driving away in a rental. Everyone I dealt with was fantastic, I just wish I could remember everyone else's names. The lobby was spotless and well maintained. The Geico rep contacted me a bit later to let me know the full extent of the damage, and how long it would take. The person who greeted me at the front desk followed up a few hours later to give me another update, and an estimated time of completion. My car is supposed to be ready tomorrow. If I have any issues, I'll update this review accordingly. That said, I did ask for updates by email - so far they've all been by phone. But as long as I'm getting updates, I'm happy. read more

The back left rear of my car was totally smashed into from an unknown car/truck which ruined the lift gate and I was unable to electronically close the trunk. I didn't even notice the damage until a few weeks later since I don't normally use my trunk. While Christmas shopping my husband decided to put items into the trunk and that's when we noticed the damage! Or insurance company directed us to Caliber Collision in Plano on Central Expwy. Seems to be lacking in the communication sector and other people's time. Had appointment for 0730AM. I arrived early and was informed they were in their weekly meeting. No problem. 0730 arrive, I'm still waiting. 0735-waiting, 0738 - finally receptionist reminds person I am waiting. 0740 my Advisor greets me. As walking out the door they finally offer water or coffee. NO THANKS NOW! We walk over to the car and I address my concerns and what I would like to happen. Asked about how long. Was informed about 1-2 days due to electrical expert needed. Advisor stated he would call me tonight to update me. No call. I call next day, waiting on insurance was what I was told. If I had been informed that insurance was suppose to be the hold up I could of helped. However; they had all my info and claim number and agent. Received call that evening it was in the works and should be done Thursday morning and they would call. Yes, you guess it. No call. Got call it was ready. Ask if outdoor temp was working. Advisor stated he didn't know it wasn't. Uh? What?---it's on the form you had me fill out! Along with my phone number, address and email-that I actually corrected. Finally picked my car up Thursday afternoon, walked around looked good. Chewed up wires all taped, everything working, car is clean except the engine where the rat had crawled all over and left evidence it was there. I had asked for that to be clean. The kicker, you ask?! I finally started getting updates on my car AFTER I picked it. But awesome news, my cc was charged promptly. Lifetime warranty on repairs as long as I own the car. After an accident the insurance asked me to drop off my 2018 Nissan Murano in this location, After 1 month they call me to get the car and I found the GPS is not working when I asked why? the Lady told me "you have to ask your dealership to make it reset again." when I asked the guys in the dealership they told me there is no GPS device connected in your car. they disconnected the device in OBD port for the install of collision sensors but did not put it back. the last time and location that app of the GPS shows on my phone is this location and during the repair time. GPS device is not important for me anymore but How people can trust a car repairer that is not able to put back parts that remove.
