We were involved in a parking lot - hit and run and assigned to Caliber Collision by our insurance for the repair. The inspection and images fully reflected the entire area that was impacted by the other vehicle with clear markers on areas that rubbed from adjusted internal plastic. The fully detailed inspection let us know the exact amount of damage and cost of repair. Our vehicle was done a few days before the promised date and the area of the car looks brand new. Overall, the inspector and personnel we worked with at the shop were polite and helpful with the vehicle repair. We are hopeful that never have to visit this repair shop again, but if we are unfortunate enough to, we know we can trust them to get us back on the road in no time. read more

They failed to repair my vehicle to a satisfactory condition and tried to tell me that it was "fine". I called my insurance and was instructed to take it back. They then fixed the issues that I pointed out. They send updates pretty often, but when those updates stopped for about a week, I called and magically my vehicle was ready to pick up the very next day. That happened both times so it is a strange coincidence. They were not wearing masks back when the state wide mandates were still in effect. Maybe that's a positive for you, but it was a negative for me. read more

At Caliber Collision I was scheduled and received an estimate the same week I called. Repairs to my car were scheduled quickly and repairs were completed within a week. My estimator Lauren, was very professional and a pleasure to work with. While driving I was hit by a rock large enough to leave a dent in the hood and remove paint. With it down to metal and the rainy season upon us we wanted it repaired. My husband and I had a great experience dealing with Mike for the repair. From the initial appointment to review the damage and receive an estimate to picking up our car, the customer service and communication was very attentive. Mike explained everything that would take place. They did a fantastic job fixing the dent, painting, and returned the car clean. This shop took full advantage of me. I was involved in an incident in which I damaged another persons car so to do the right thing, we agreed on what seemed like a reputable shop and got a quote for his bumper damage. I told the shop what had happened and that I would be paying for the repairs out of pocket. The original quote I received was around $1100.00 and 4 days of work. - I thought that seemed fair and the guys seemed nice. I asked them what the worst case scenario might be if there might be any hidden damage, they assured me that it would NOT exceed $3000.00 at the very most but from what they see and the fact that the damage was not very severe (no airbags deployed and it was only bumper damage). The next day I get an email saying that now the new quote is $4500+ and close to 2 weeks worth of work. I was SHOCKED but at this point they knew they had me. If I wanted the car out of there I would have had to pay them for their labor to take apart the car, put it back together, and get it towed out even though the car was very drivable. Also, because I was trying to do the right thing by the guys car I damaged, I was paying for a rental car for him to use while his car was being repaired. Finally the car was ready but not before they added an additional $200+ to the total cost at the very end. The repair went from an estimate of 1100 to costing me nearly $5000.00. They took me for a ride and were unapologetic about it. The manager told me that's just the way it is in the business while raising his voice at me over the phone and being extremely rude and condescending. So unless you don't mind your insurance being ripped off. I would stay far far away from this repair shop. I will most likely be seeking legal advice in this matter. I was lured in by a good quote and fully taken advantage of for trying to do the right thing. Stay far away from this shop. read more

The story starts with some drunk lady backing into my car in the middle of the night. The next morning I contacted my insurance and they sent a list of shops, picked one and dropped my car off to be fixed. Rental was set up it all went smooth. A week later they call 9am on a weekday) to tell me my car was ready, I was excited. I turn up at the shop and my car is right up front ready to go, but it's not. The paint was dull and darker than the rest and only looked worse as I approached my car. They said they would fix it and to come back tomorrow. This was 7 hours after they said it was ready. So I come back the following day and they did it right, completely fixed. Why didn't they do that to begin with? Over the next couple days I have to reattach my door card a couple times until it finally stays, its still not right. Its been a couple weeks and I reach down to adjust my power mirror, it doesn't tilt up and the joystick feels very loose. So I go in and they tell me they have to replace it as its broken. I take care of my stuff, I'm super picky. The job you do has to be done right, otherwise what is the bloody point? If you hold their feet to the fire it'll be fixed but otherwise garbage quality of work, go elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed with this place. I had an appointment on September 8th for an estimate on my truck. I showed up on time and Mike did the walk around and told me he would email the estimate by the COB that day. Fast forward to a week later and still no email. After checking all junk mail I called Caliber and asked about estimate. Lady who answered phone advised that I would have to talk to Mike and asked me to hold. After fifteen (15) minutes of being on hold I finally gave up. Not one time did someone pick up to check on me or reassure me that my call was important. Give it another few days and still nothing. I call back and the lady who answered that day said that she can see my estimate in the system but it is not complete. She stated that she didn't know why it wasn't but she assured me it would be completed that day and sent to me. It is now almost three weeks later and still nothing. My business obviously means nothing to them. I'll take my $8500 + elsewhere. read more

Poor communication after initial estimate. No return call or response to emails. After a week of trying to call and schedule, I finally had to drive there to try to schedule appointment. I was told the repair couldn't be done before a part arrived, & they would order it. Should have been in the following week. Again, no communication the after several calls I was told the wrong part was ordered & if I brought in the part, the repair would be done. I brought in the part but was then told they couldn't use the part or do the repair, big waste of my time, spent 4 weeks trying to get my car repaired there. Very poor customer service. read more

Horrible customer service, buddies with insurance. First off I was hit and not at fault. so this isn't a complaint about money. My experience started with the insurance rep meeting me, not the Abra Rep. Then I was whisked away to the side to fill out paper work while the insurance rep and Abra rep "assessed" the damage. When I went out to ask the Abra rep a question about my truck he was short and uninterested in helping. Once they completed the assessment the Abra rep slides over a piece of paper and asks me to sign. When I asked what it was he said "anything that's an "x" we are fixing anything with a number is preexisting damage". No one from Abra took the time to explain to me the repairs or the damage. They pawned it off on the insurance rep, who has an office there and clearly is buddies with these guys as he works there everyday. This felt shady and the whole thing had a get this guy in and out for as cheap as possible feeling. I was not satisfied and decided to move to a shop where customer service and not licking the boot of insurance is a priority. When I picked my truck up the receptionist didn't even acknowledge me and just stared at me while holding her phone. Another Abra rep came out and said "for the dodge?" When I said yes he just handed me the keys and didn't say anything else. This place makes it clear insurance is the customer not you! Shame to the Abra name, I took my truck to Abra in McKenna and they already have proven why they are so much better. You have options do not go here! read more

I've had the unfortunate experience of needing body work done do to two collisions in the past year. One of the body shops on Hwy 7 Spanaway area left scratches that were never noticed, the corner of the bumper is sticking out and doesn't sit flush. Attitude was we don't really care. Now wife had a collision with a deer and we went to Abra in Fife this time. What a breath of fresh air. No hassles, work was almost impeccable and one minor little niggle was handled way above what we had come to expect from body shops. They like everyone else probably aren't perfect but if there is a problem they'll bend over backwards to satisfy you. Of course some can never be satisfied anywhere but I would send my mother here because it just doesn't get any better than this. read more

This has to be the most incompetent and unprofessional body shop in the Puget sound region. They never answer their phones and when they say they will call you back, they never do. Their body work is below par of the average body shop. If they don't want to work with a particular insurance group, they give you the run-around and they say they can't service your vehicle. I've been to other caliber collision shop in the Seattle-Tacoma area and the one in fife, WA is by far the worst of the lot. Geico sent me here when one of their clients had hit my vehicle. When i picked up my car it would not start i went back inside and was told that it happens all the time since the doors were off my car for repairs. They jumped it and it was fine until the next day when i had to keep jumping it to get it started. I have never had this issue with my vehicle before hand. When i called i was told that my battery was just old. Took it to autozone and they told me that the battery had been completely ruined and i needed a new one. When i called caliber collision to tell them what happened the manager was not polite and lacked customer service skills. I would not recommend this place. Paid $200 for a new battery i shouldn't have even needed. read more

Everyone with whom I dealt was very helpful and professional. My vehicle didn't need actual body work. A plastic panel on the hatch was broken. I went in for an estimate on a Monday and was called to bring the car in on Wednesday. I was able to wait on the repair and it was completed quickly. They even washed the car. Got into a fender bender with my old Ford Explorer. My auto insurance (GEICO) told me to go to this location and meet the rep in a couple days. Showed up, Katanna was at the front desk and was super helpful. Checked me in and I met Phil Delaney, the adjuster from Geico. Phil and Kenneth (the ABRA rep) went around my car with me to notate the damage from the accident and also other damage (like when you rent a rental car). Once done, a lady from Enterprise was there with rental car keys in hand. Smooth transaction to obtain and return the rental car. ABRA kept me updated via texts and even a couple phone call during the whole process. I dropped off my car on a Friday and it was ready by Monday afternoon. Once I got the final call that my vehicle was ready, I drove over, dropped off the keys to the rental to the LOVELY Katanna at the front desk, and walked around the car with both Phil with Geico and Kenneth with ABRA. This was the smoothest transaction I've ever had with both an insurance company and a auto body shop. Even though being in an accident sucks, ABRA Auto Body & Glass in Fife/Puyallup did a great job with the body/paint work, and Katanna, Phil D (Geico adjuster) and Kenneth, made this whole ordeal very pleasant. I had a great experience with Abra! I so missed my car while they had it for repairs, but they made it feel so easy. I was updated throughout the whole process., which only took four days. My repair was flawless, they detailed my car in and out, and they noticed my tail light was acting up so they ran it over to Audi for repair which while there a recall item was also taken care of.
